And finally, the wayfaring stranger, Snufkin himself! aka the man who taught Little My the basics of shooting ('the rest she picked up on her own').

He leaves his sisters suddenly before the seasons change, leaving the smaller with a pistol and instructions to not miss should she ever need a bullet for emergencies. Since his leave, My has only gotten better at shooting, preparing for the day where she'll need her steadiest aim.

I really like this au...

Some scattered vignettes of sharpshooter My's story that I thought up on a whim and have yet to be really solidified!

Top left My is gifted her first revolver, at the cost of losing a loved one to the roads.

Top right: shooting lessons with a not-so mysterious teacher (I'm sure you can guess it)

Bottom left: Shin Little My is a darling hiding behind people, and she radiates younger sister energy. I think she did a lot of hiding behind her elders when she couldn't finish fights she may or may not have started (this she soon grew out of when she remembered she had teeth)

Bottom right: Mymble Jr performing at the saloon she works at. While her sister earns the name of local sharpshooter, Mymble is the pretty cactus blossom who gifts her customers with song and dance between serving beverages.

OKEY 👏

It's not secret that I'm absolutely and positivity NUTS for this character, he's blorbo of my heart.

But I don't think I ever mentioned why (besides the fact that I think his design is so fine 👌💕).

When I was first entering the Moomin fandom, doing research and stuff, I was actually kinda surprised at this weird version of the moomins, like, they don't look like the 90's or 19's version at all (the two series that I had first contact with). And then you have this peculiar looking snufkin, no green, no brunette hair, no armonica, basically a whole new thing. I didn't think much of it until I saw a couple of clips of the series and after a while of joking, hearing "Osabishiyama no Uta.mp3" a couple of times, and despite not understanding ONE IOTA OF WHAT THE CHARACTERS WERE SAYING, I pretty much fell for this version of snufkin.

He's been my comfort character and favorite character to draw for some time now, and honestly, I think he brings the best of me 😂.

He does seem to have some flaws in the communication department, and thanks to someone (*cough* @laecandraw ) that did some translation for me , I know that he can be stubborn and pretty much inclined to leave if the scene makes him uncomfortable or he sometimes doesn't really care, but he's almost always right, has god like reflexes(this is where the Mary suesness come to shine XD) and generally could be one of the most "wise" and "mature" snufkin of them all.Kind, protective, patient, little playful sometimes, cute..OKEY I'll stop.

Also, bonus points for being one of the most affectionate adaptations of snufkin 😂.

I'm very aware that this version did have some controversy, especially with Tove herself, I like the character just for being him, if that makes sense..I think he has a lot of layers, he seem bland at first, but, idk, he's engaging if you don't think of him as "a snufkin".
