I'm so sorry that it took me ages to write and that's so short :( unfortunatly, writer's block is still kicking my ass to hell and back

"Right, I've heard all about your little identity crisis"

Raoul let the jab roll off of his shoulders; he didn't really care about what Bond's smarmy ass had to say - he didn't care about the man at all, really. 

But he had to play nice, M's not so subtle threats still echoing around his head. Sometimes he wondered why he was still so pathetically steadfast in his service to MI6 - to her. Then he remembered that, despite the torture she had left him to, she had also come to his rescue once she had felt he'd been subtly punished for his indiscretions and had bestowed upon him a new identity. 

A new life.

A new life that didn't look any different from the one he had before, besides the fact that his hair care expenses had become considerably higher once he had decided to go blond to conform to the passport that had been thrown in his lap. He still debated with himself whether M herself had written in that detail, hellbent on annoying the fuck out of him for the rest of his life. 

"You're quiet" James observed, easily keeping up with the other's confident strides through the crowded airport.

"I believe that when one has nothing to say, keeping silent is the best course of action" Raoul walked right past the security check, leading Bond into the diplomatic lane "Let me speak" 

James raised his hands, amused by the other's briskness "Of course" he'd been to Hong Kong before, even if only in passing, and while he knew that English and traditional Chinese were the official languages, he has also noticed that most people tended to speak a local variant of Cantonese. James knew a couple of words, enough to order a drink - nothing compared to the syllables easily tumbling down Silva's tongue.

It would have been more impressive if the man hadn't basically turned into a local.

"We're free to go, someone from the office will collect the rest of your luggage"

It seemed like a waste of manpower but James wasn't going to argue about not having to carry around his luggage when he could easily have it delivered to his hotel room "Are we going to Station H?"

"Do you have anything better to do, 007?"

There was something about the other's voice giving life to his title that sounded... Lurid. It made James wonder whether the other man ever let go and had some fun that didn't entail treason - something more low-key, featuring champagne and freshly laundered sheets: he had a feeling that Silva would be infinitely more pleasant if pampered within an inch of his life. 

He let out a whistle at the car he was being led to "Well, I wouldn't mind a turn with this beauty"

"Keep dreaming" Raoul slid behind the steering wheel "I know all about your abysmal track record when it comes to destroying equipment and annihilating cars"

"I thought M cured you of your nasty snooping habit?"

Snooping . 

As if what he did could ever be defined in such a childish manner "I don't need to hack anywhere to read all about your fuck ups: they're right there for everyone to see" compiled in tidy little reports that exhuded annoyance. Still, despite being an ever expanding black hole eating away at MI6 budget, Bond was revered by colleagues and higher-ups alike; he was expendable of course - they all were - but Raoul had gotten the impression that he was an almost invaluable asset.

Almost being the keyword.

One day even Bond would be left to rot - or maybe that day had come and gone already and just like Raoul, the other agent had had the choice to either snap or move on.

Raoul parked in his spot, the basement of the skyscraper as unassuming as any other; whereas MI6 didn’t make a mystery of its location in London, Station H was disguised as one of the countless office buildings which made up the core of the city with their spines of steel and glass, jutting up into the sky.

While Bond couldn’t imagine Silva prowling the corridors at Vauxhall, it was evident just how much in his element the other man was at Station H, every step exuding the kind of confidence that someone who had once been deemed a traitor and left to die really had no business to feel.

James had always admired an unhealthy dose of spite and guts.

He couldn’t wait to take the other man apart.

The film is titled after a Portuguese fado song by Amália Rodrigues. The song was released in 1959 and sung by Brazilian singer Caetano Veloso, and lip-synced by actor Manu Ríos playing a singer in the opening scenes, as Silva arrives in town to see Jake.

Silva is a rancher. A rancher is someone who owns or manages a large farm, especially one used for raising cattle, horses, or sheep.

Silva mentions he was previously a 'hired gun' back in the day with Jake, which means he was potentially a hit man or hired killer.

Silva is adept with the use of guns and a skilled shot. He deliberately misses shooting Jake in any vital organs.

Jake accuses Silva of only travelling to see him to get information out of him and to convince him to leave his son alone, rather than see him specifically. However, Silva mentions he wanted to see Jake sooner, but wasn't sure what reaction he would get after all the time that's passed. The conversation between them, and subsequently what Silva says to his son, indicates that Jake was right.

Being homosexual in the Wild West was largely unspoken and frowned upon. Same-sex relationships/encounters, were often kept private between the consenting individuals through fear of persecution and arrest, despite them being fairly common. Silva references this when he states, "You gonna kill me while I’m half undressed? How will you explain that? A dead man in your bed still smelling of cum!"

Hispanic decor decorates Silva's home in bright colours like fuchsia, yellow, orange and green, and he also has a statue of what appears to be of Our Lady Of Guadalupe, indicating he possibly has faith.

He did a lot of bad things in his life but surely the worse thing that he did in his entire life was when he tried to kill his neighbor, the name of the case is "Caso Apesar de Você".

Basically, Nipper broke into his neighbor's house at 31 of October on 02:00 AM to try to murder him cuz his neighbor poisoned and killed his cat "Helena".

-But too bad, the unic thing that Nipper did to hurt him was Only stab his hand and then someone from Nippers Neighborhood called the police and was arrested for attempt of murder, but after 2 months his parents paid a fiance and he was sent free. After the events of his crime, he asked to fhis parents to live in a other place and started to have a peaceful life.

Like that, he got raised being slightly Agressive, and always arguing with the "ah, bad boys" from his class.

but he actually just did that to guys, he always get more comfortable next to girls from his age (maybe because of how his mother treated him better than his dad) seriously, in his entire life he always got Alot of girls as his close friends.

Query: Q x 00 Agent- Ch. 5: Compromised

Once again I have to power through the drug’s grip as I stir. This time I wake up tucked away in the corner of a short room, one filled with computers, counters of gadgets, and motorcycles.

“Good, you’re awake. Again.”

I spot Q hunched over a desk, tinkering with a watch.

“How long have I been out?” I grunt.

“5 hours. Silva's gone. Escaped by wrecking a train.”

I sit up and take a deep breath. “Where’s Bond?”

“Disappeared.”

“M?”

“Disappeared.”

I sigh. “And I’m guessing you can’t tell me where?”

Q opens his mouth to say something but closes it. I should be used to this by now.

“I get it. More secrets. Comes with the job,” I say in a mockingly perky voice.

Q straightens up and walks over from the desk. “I’m not doing it to piss you off. It’s for security-”

“And you don’t think I’m trustworthy.” When Q doesn’t argue, that gives me my answer. “I suppose I can’t blame you. It’s what I get for being in this business.” Yet I still can’t rid the look of frustration off my face.

Q frowns. “You say one thing, but look another. Why be angry at me?”

I look away and busy myself with checking my leg bandages. “I don’t know. Maybe it’s just the drugs talking to me. Is there anything I can help with?”

I can already tell Q’s annoyed with me. “Sorry, 0011. With that leg-”

“Spare me the medical talk. I’m going home.”

“Here, let me help.” Q rounds the hospital bed and starts pushing. “We’re in the basement so you’ll have to take the elevator.”

My nose scrunches in confusion. “Basement? Why are you hiding down here?”

I can almost feel him roll his eyes. “I’m not hiding down here. This is my office.”

“Really?” I take one last look around the lab before Q wheels me into the elevator. “It’s nice. Much more quiet than upstairs.”

“Hm. Never thought of it that way. I always thought they just gave me the basement because it was the only place left.” After we exit the elevator Q pushes me to the lobby. “I’ve radioed for a car to drive you home. Is your house in town?”

“I’d hardly call my tiny apartment a house. It’s in Hatfield, so not too far away.” An SUV pulls up to the curb and Q helps push my bed into the backseat. “Thank you. You didn’t have to do this.”

The man smirks. “‘Course I have to. Can’t have one of our 00 agents sent home in a meager cab, can we?”

That’s what I am, a government asset. Is it bad that I’m disappointed he doesn’t see me as someone else?

“Sorry for arguing earlier,” I say glumly before he shuts the door. 

“Water under the bridge, 0011. We’ll contact you if there’s any progress with Silva, but for now it’s best if you recover. I’ve packed you a wheelchair for you to use at home.”

“Can I still come in to work tomorrow?”

Q laughs and shakes his head. “And I thought I was a workaholic! Sure, you can come in tomorrow. But no physical activity, only paperwork.”

I groan. “You take the fun out of everything. Goodbye, Quartermaster.”

“Feel better, Mrs. White,” Q smirks and gives a wave as the car starts to pull away.

Again with that codename. If I didn’t know better I’d say that Q’s finally starting to get a sense of humor. On the way home my troubled mind keeps flashing between my thoughts for Q and worrying about Bond. If Silva still has the list, could that mean I might be the next victim?

“Is this you, miss?” The driver up front asks.

The familiar gray building sends comfort to my rushing feelings. “Yes. Would you mind helping-?”

“Yes, of course. Q said to make sure you got out safely.”

Is there anything that goes past that man’s head? After I’ve been lifted out and placed in the wheelchair, I thank the driver and start making my way inside the building. I’ve always said I decided on a simple home because I was waiting to see where my job would take me. Then I settled for it because I’m always too busy with work to be at home. But now I think it’s because I’ll always be alone and shouldn’t bother living in a big house.

I must say that taking the elevator up instead of stairs is a change. I guess I took my health for granted until it got taken away, and now I’m stuck sitting down for a month. Could be worse, I guess. At least I’m not in the same condition as Jason- Oh no.

I’m at my apartment door, and something’s wrong. Back when I first started, I learned an old security trick about placing a piece of paper near the door so you can tell if it’s been opened. Ever since then I’ve always put a slip of paper on the floor. Bond calls it old-fashioned and paranoid. But it works.

I know so because I’ve opened my door now and the paper’s been moved. 

Quietly, I slip my revolver out from under my pocket and look around. The only movement is Cricket, who’s waiting for me in the kitchen. I haven’t fully entered the room yet, and in my weakened state I don’t plan to. If there is someone waiting for me I’m in no condition to fight. My only thought is hoping that Eve picks up the phone. I dial the number and after a short while she answers.

“0011, what’s wrong?”

“Someone’s been in my apartment,” I whisper. “My name must have been compromised. Is there a safe house anywhere?”

A few seconds go by. “The closest place near yours is Q’s apartment.”

The thought of interfering with Q’s private life creates a whole new set of problems in my mind, but I can’t afford to be picky when my life is at stake.

“I don’t care. I just need to hunker down where I won’t be killed. Is it safe?”

I hear Eve laugh. “This is Q we’re talking about. Of course it’s safe. It’s 3 blocks down and 5 over, number 221b. The code is 3155.”

“Thank you, Eve. I’ll call if there’s any more trouble.” I return the phone to my pocket and signal to Cricket. “Come here, Cricket. You’re coming with me.”

The gray tabby pitter-patters over and hops onto my lap with a delighted meow. After locking the door and making a quick exit I get back to the fresh air and wheel down the sidewalk to Q’s apartment. The whole time I keep looking over my shoulder, the loaded gun still at the ready under my shirt. 

At first I think I’m lost but it turns out Q lives in a neighborhood where all the buildings look the same. When I get to 221b and enter the code I first notice the smell. It’s super clean, like the smell of laundry. Next I’m welcomed by a hairless cat, who takes a liking to Cricket right away. The two cats go running up a staircase and leave me to get a better look at the place. Of course Q would keep a tidy home, but what surprises me most is the various cooking tools set up in the kitchen. Maybe lab gadgets aren't the only thing he experiments with?

It’s not my place to snoop around a coworker’s home, so I should just wait for him to come home. The locked door behind me is an assurance all in itself. I move myself to the couch and lift myself off the wheelchair. At first I’m positive I’m in no state of mind to sleep but I’m proven wrong as my eyes start to close…

I have finally listed to the whole podcast, and have tried to translate most of the podcast, not word by word, but just overall what they said, I know it's a bit long 😅

- They all bring up some good memories.

- It's often in the final rounds that I switch as there are some of the "better" teams

- The one I'm probably the happiest about is Marta da Silva, I think it was in 2012, she also wears number 10. She is one of my biggest idols as a kid.

- There was a big pressure as I was the most expensive player and just was named UEFA player of the year, but I think it was pretty well

- She's just going 100 percent in the tackles no matter if she gets the ball or not. She trains like she plays games. So sometimes you get to feel what she’s capable of

21:30 - Before we went to the euro's 2017 i signed with Montpellier. I had a good start, played well and came on the world's top 100 list. Then there is a meeting just after the summer where she is told that some English clubs are interested in her and then the club starts not to treat her well.

- At a time, she trained with the U19 team, which was low, she felt it was kind of a punishment.

- Today when she's thinking bad, she still has good memories and good friends. It's not only bad things, but of course they still are there.

- She remembers a friendly against Barcelona where she starts out, then come on the field to play 12 minutes and was taken out again

- She learned a lot in that time and how to handle it. It was a tough time mentally and she considered stopping her career as it wasn't fun at all.

- At the U19 team, she was in the matchday squad, bet then they just take her shirt in front of her and put it back in the bag.

- (Harder interrupts) I don't know how they can treat people like that, it's inhuman, just because they heard she might be interested in moving on in her career to a new club

- Pernille: It's hard to say, in the club we don't have shirts to swap them away, we mostly only have one. But I have the one I want the most.

29:40 - What is it like to experience the development women's football is undergoing

- Pernille, there has happened so much in the last five years, people have started to be more interested and especially the TV streams have become a lot better, in the past, the matches were only filmed with a hand-held camera from one angle and then it is clear that people found it boring to watch women's football. It is something that has irritated me a lot. So, I'm happy that, that part is becoming better.

- Pernille, I think it was a good game to have a debut against, I scored a hat trick and there also was another debutant who did that as well

36:20 Veje had a chance where she was totally alone in front of the goal, without the goalkeeper. She then shot over the goal, and one of the teammates just yells "what the h*ll are you doing"

24:30 - The semifinal was postponed

- Veje, when we were warming up the ball didn't move at all, we have to chip the ball to each other.

- We went down to the changing room and our clothes got tumble-dried, at this time the game wasn't postponed to the day after yet, just a later kickoff.

- Pernille, when we were waiting for the game to start, I remember talking to a club teammate and the game was still not postponed

- Then we go out and warm up for a second time and after that warmup, we were told that the game had been moved to the day after, and I just thought "okay, then let's just go home and sleep" 😂

38:00 - Because of the later kickoff Denmark had packed their bags beforehand, and Germany hadn't

40:30 - After the tournament, my girlfriend and I went on vacation, I was mentally and physically exhausted and she told me I was the most boring to be on vacation with, we didn't do anything, and I just walked around in my own thoughts

- Pernille, the final was a special feeling. We were all exhausted, but still proud of what we had achieved

- Pernille also sleeps with earplugs at home because Magda snores and takes very deep breaths, and it annoys her too much to not have them in. I think I have become addicted to them when I sleep alone today, I still sleep with earplugs

One thing fanon gets very wrong about Bond is to assume he is bad with technology- but to be fair, I also did not appreciate this until my current rewatch.

My primary evidence comes from Casino Royale where he hacks into both M's computer and her account and is able to use the system, ostensibly not designed for 00s given all the hacking involved, to trace the texts that bombmaker he killed received and track the source down. Similarly at Ocean Club(?) he is able to use camera records for his purposes. And he figures out the Skyfleet plot almost entirely on his own (I think fanon also underestimates how clever he is but that's another post).

By the time we get to Skyfall, he's fallen behind the times a little I think - technology has moved on quicker than he has but still- He is able to work with Q in reviewing the contents of Silva's computer and is in fact the one to crack the key to his map. This is also why M aims her "I want to know what's on that computer" directive to Bond - clearly Q branch does not need 00 supervision but she - rightly - counts on his intellect to be able to work together with them to get her results.

Technology is Q's comparative advantage - which Bond also recognises - but he is hardly inept himself.
