not having a terp in my classes means that sometimes I get really entertaining interactions with beginners who dont know I'm Deaf

today I was sitting in class with a bunch of freshmen and apparently the person next to me is in intro and tried to show me a sign but it was a regional sign that's not used in New Mexico sjsksjsj so I was like "actually that's not used here" and started signing at them because I think it's a little funny to sign medium speed at beginners (I dont go fast I just dont go slow) props to them they actually didnt freak out they were just like "uhh I dont know much" so I went back to English because I am sometimes nice to hearing people

anyways I just think it's funny that a beginner hearing person tried to teach me ASL
