Sk8 Roller Derby Au

My au, in which all the characters we know and love in Sk8 the infinity are girls who play roller derby instead of skate boarding.

I tried to give them all a unique style, jojo being more 80s inspired while cherry is very cyber (imagine her skates glow). Eve, usually the "matador of love" will get lots of flamenco inspired parts! And shadow is my butch icon. Reki is very kid-core in her colours, where Langa is very soft and more pastel. Miya is pretty much the same just more non binary now.

Listen, Kid Ainosuke is fucking adorable, but that’s not going to make me forget how much of a piece of shit he is as an adult.

Sketchy is chaos incarnate and I love the little fucker.

The fact that Oka doesn’t immediately sick Sketchy on Tadashi after Reki mentioned a love hotel is a crime against humanity.

Tadashi: Everybody wants something from Ainosuke-sama ever since his father passed away. And I’m trying to rob him of his one and only respite... He’s fondling minors and he just cracked his ex’s skull open and put him in a wheelchair. I know this is your upbringing talking here, but please....

Kiriko never getting to raid Ainosuke’s house is a crime. I wanted to see that bastard in handcuffs.

The fact that Adam named the “technique” he almost murdered his ex with “Full Swing Kiss” is a level of evil and pettiness even I cannot fathom.

Tadashi, no you are not wrong. You should take skateboarding away from Adam. Him learning to love skateboarding again is not going to fix the crux of his problems.

Adam: In my world, I’m the only one who exists. Yeah, that’s literally all on you. It’s not anyone else’s fault or problem that you leave people and pretend they betrayed you to make yourself feel better because you’re afraid they’re gonna hurt you eventually.

When he didn’t answer, Oka sighed. From the corner of his eye, Reki saw Oka drag a stool over to his work space. Great. He propped an elbow on the table, putting his chin in his hand (his stupid, tapping, rubbing, shaking hand) then looked away. His other hand bounced in his lap. “Reki,” Oka spoke again. There was a familiar edge to his voice, the kind of edge Reki heard every time Oka tried talking about feelings, ugh. “What’s up?”

“Nothing,” he grumbled, a slew of cooing following the word. He sounded so stupid. His fingernails gripped his thigh, pinching angrily.

It hurt like hell.

He couldn’t stop.
