Okay I fucking love Snoggletog Log conceptually but EUUUUUUUUUGGGGHHH WHY IS IT SO FUCKING BORING AND WHY DOES IT RUN FOR HALF AN HOUR pleaaaaaaaase.... if you're going to make something like that from one camera angle then make stuff actually happen????? like often??? not just in two minute intervals??? like you could have had hicctrid sit down and have a conversation for five minutes (yes i know the voice actors were different but please this is dreamworks) and the conversation gets cut short because hiccup goes to check on the soup or some shit.

single camera angle scenes work perfectly. Panty and Stocking had an entire episode shot from one camera angle and it's probably my favourite episode of the show. but oh my god i managed to skip through half an hour of stuff in about six minutes and that's not a good thing.

im pretty sure it was meant to be like one of those ten hour fireplace videos or whatever but. honestly.idk.

Ok, so I'm probably the only person in the world who actually dislikes the 'Zephyr & Dart' and 'Nuffink & Pouncer' pairs, especially when the Snoggletog Log gave us the opposite, lol.

I'm sorry, but this will always be the true pairs for me (even if they didn't get dragons in the end regardless, haha~).

But yeah, these parts in the log are just too cute for me to ignore, so I'll take pride in being the only fan for this set~

Something that especially bothers me about the ending of 3. Is that they want to have their sad "The dragons leaving" ending. and also have them still get to be friends.

They want you to be sad at the dragons leaving, that hiccup and everyone else might never see their best friends ever again.

But they still want their cute ending where hiccups gets get to play with toothless's kids.

They want you to be sad that hiccup misses his friend on the holidays and wants him to be there with him.

And then he comes in, eats the fish, and leaves. Or in the snoggletog log thing, are just kinda there like the dragons never left.

They really did want to have their cake and it too, and not just with the things you've mentioned.

"Hiccup and Toothless' friendship is the friendship of a lifetime and they're canonically platonic soulmates but also a big part of this film is about how Toothless' instincts and attraction to the Light Fury become more important than his bond with Hiccup. Also the only reason that Toothless didn't accept the auto-tail in GOTNF was because there wasn't a hot girl Fury around that he needed to impress. Oh and Toothless almost murders Hiccup during the reunion scene before barely recognizing him at the last second."

Dahlia is 7 years old

Dahlia looked at the baby dragon her dad was holding. It was a Monstrous Nightmare, one of Hookfang's offspring, and it was absolutely adorable. 

Snotlout, noticing his daughter's stare, smiled at her and kneeled down to her level, presenting the small dragon to her. Her eyes lit up as they darted from her father's face to the Nightmare, who was now studying the girl curiously. 

As soon as Snotlout nodded his head the hatchling was in the arms of the excited young girl. He stood back up and looked on as Dahlia and the dragon stared at eachother with curiosity and caution behind both sets of eyes. 

The staring contest lasted for a few seconds before the Monstrous Nightmare let out a happy chirp and snuggled closely to the girl. Dahlia giggled and held the dragon even closer, if that were possible, and sat down on a bench in the Mead Hall so she wouldn't disturb it too much, setting the baby down on her lap. 

Upon closer inspection, Dahlia noticed that this hatchling's horns were shorter than the other Monstrous Nightmare baby's horns (and she should know, every Snoggletog she practically studies Hookfang's offspring, to the point where she could almost perfectly draw them out of memory). She looked back at where her father stood, now joined by Arnora in observing their daughter, and signed to her parents

"Shorthorn."

So this is a nothing drabble I wrote on a piece of paper. 

Fun fact, Dahlia gets her dragon before her brother does! Stormlout only gets his dragon at 13, cause it was always hard for him to bond with any dragon. (unrelated anyone got any ideas for wha kind of dragon he should have? Anything but a monstrous nightmare I'm suffering)
