As I slowly chop up the body with a hacksaw in my tub, I look back at Sophia. She's taken off her blood stained clothes, throwing them half-hazardly around my bathroom floor, leaving her just in her sports bra and boxers. She's washing her hands in my sink, scrubbing hard at her hands. I know if I don't stop her or distract her, she'll be scrubbing her hands until the skin breaks and they begin to bleed. "Darling. Who was she?" I softly shake the decapitated head, dripping a bit of blood on the shower mat. I'll clean it later.
"Does it matter?" Sophia pulls her hands away from the sink, as if the water was boiling hot. Which it probably was.
I shoot her a lopsided smile. "No~" I breathlessly giggle and go back to sawing. She rolls her eyes and crouches behind me, wrapping her arms around my waist and presses her face to the back of my neck. "She probably deserved it." Her breath is warm. Her arms are strong. Her hold feels like home, more than home itself feels.
"She really didn't." She sighs. I know that tone. She's doubting herself, doubting her work. Can't be having that, now can we?
"She did. You decided she should die, so she deserved to die." I wipe the sweat and back away from the tub, laying against her. "Your will is that of God's, Sophia. God has given you this task, and you must follow it. He is counting on you to fix His world. Remember that." I peel off my gore-soaked rubber gloves and drop them on the floor, reaching back and cupping her face.
"I know. I know." She closes her eyes and breathes deep, going still. Probably talking to God. How lucky could I be? I'm dating God's prophet! As she communes, I finish up sawing up the body. I put the limbs in trash bags, then scrub down the bathroom. It takes two hours. Throughout all the time, she does not move. I'm packing the bags in the trunk of my shitty Ford Fiesta when Sophia walks out of the house, pulling on one of my jackets. "So? How did it go?"
"we have to dump the body in the bay. We have to feed Leviathan, to keep it from attacking Brockton. It's the will of The Father, the will of The Son, and the Will of The Holy Spirit." She climbs into the driver seat. Despite it being my car, I rarely drive it myself.
"okie dokie, my dear." I climb into the passenger seat, her hand wrapping around mine in less of a second.
We throw the pieces of Taylor Hebert in the bay. Sophia looks up to the sky with devotion in her eyes, mouthing her prayers. I look up to her with devotion in my eyes, mouthing "I love you, I love you, I love you" over and over again.
I know Sophia can't talk to God. I know she's just a poor mentally ill girl. I know she doesn't want to hurt people. But it just feels so good, to watch her be the worst version of herself she could be. She does not talk to God, but she does talk to me. And I'm the next best thing, if not better.
After that, we get McDonald's. I insist on playing in the ballpit. I pretend I don't notice the quirk of her lips as she calls me an idiot.

the thing thats fucked up and evil about sophias writing aside from all of the other fucked up and evil things i have already mentioned is that whereas most other violence in the book is given appropriate levels of weight by the characters and the narrative framing wildbow is so intent on portraying sophia as this perpetually irrational and stupid and half-shrug-sympathetic-at-best villain that he immediately throws every point he was attempting to make about alec torturing her in his interlude out the window the second the interlude ends and begins treating her as like. Silly Grumpy Sophia!! for not being super into having heartfelt conversation with a girl who's more or less entirely chill about that one time said girl's dead bestie completely overrode her autonomy, sexually assaulted her, ruined all of her personal relationships, and almost made her kill herself. like alec's interlude intentionally communicates "punitive violence (and especially punitive Torture) is Bad even if the person receiving it is evil and entirely unsympathetic"--it's racist writing on like 3 different levels that sophia is portrayed as evil and unsympathetic, but the point that what alec is doing is entirely awful and immoral and unjustifiable is in fact made. but because wildbow cannot Stand to let sophia have accurate or nuanced feelings about literally anything ever all of her subsequent appearances just sort of portray her as irrational and annoying for still hosting a grudge over Literally Being Tortured while all of the other characters treating what alec did as more or less a nonissue is framed as a reasonable default state that needs no further questioning. punitive violence is bad except for when it's towards sophia hess (resident annoying evil predatory black girl) then wildbow will kick what he was attempting to communicate abt the subject matter previously right out the nearest window to make sure we know it's not that big of a deal and she should probably stop bothering aisha (<- BEWILDERINGLY chill about this matter) about it

The Romanovs AU: Peter III(1728 - 1791) and Catherine II(1729 - 1792).
In 1745, the Prussian princess Sophia Augusta Frederica of Anhalt-Zerbst became the wife of the heir to the Russian throne, Peter, and converted to Orthodoxy. After adopting the Provo-Slavism, she ceased to be a Prussian princess and became the Russian Tsarevna Catherine Elekseevna. Peter did not love his wife, but after the birth of their eldest daughter he looked at her differently, and the birth of a son finally brought the couple closer together. In 1762 the Russian Empress Elisabeth died and Peter became Emperor. He reigned in the Russian Empire together with his wife. Almost 30 years they ruled in Russia, but in 1791 Peter died suddenly. For Catherine the death of her husband was a strong blow, she began to lead a reclusive life and did not want to see anyone except her eldest son, as he was similar to her late husband. A year later, Catherine herself died of a heart attack.
Children of Peter III and Catherine:
Elisabeth(1748 - 1815). First-born son of Peter III and Catherine II Alexeevna. Was named in honor of the Russian empress Elisabeth Petrovna. Elisabeth's parents did not like each other, but her birth brought them closer together. In 1764 she married Leopold II and became Empress of the Holy Roman Empire. The married life of Elizabeth and Leopold was a happy one. The marriage produced 12 children: Franz II, Alexander, Clementine, Karl, Mary, Louise, Ferdinand, Ludwig, Leopold, Caroline, Anna and Joseph.
Mary(1750 - 1825). Duchess of Hesse. In 1770 married Ludwig I of Hesse. She was loved not only by her husband and his relatives, but also by her subjects. Mother of 8 children: Ludwig II, Louise, George, Friedrich, Emil, Gustav, Charles, Henrietta.
Paul(1754 - 1822). Emperor of All Russia. The long-awaited heir to the Russian throne. After ascending the throne, Paul continued the work of his grandfather Peter I the Great. Under his rule the Russian Empire reached the peak of its power. Reforms beneficial to the state were adopted, and new and favorable treaties with other countries were concluded. Husband:
1)Augusta Hesse of Darmstadt(died in childbirth).
2)Sophia of Württemberg.
Father of 11 children: stillborn son, Alexander I, Constantine, Alexandra, Elena, Mary, Catherine, Olga, Anna, Nicholas I, Michael.
Anne(1757 - 1823). Queen of France, wife of Louis XVI and mother of 4 children: Louis, Mary, Charles, Sophia. She received her name in honor of her paternal grandmother. Was the favorite sister of Russian Emperor Paul. In 1789 the Great French Revolution began, and in 1791 Anne and her children fled to Russia. Two years later she learned of her husband's execution. Anne and her children never returned to France.
Alexey(1762 - 1812). The last child of Peter III and Catherine II Elekseevna. General Fieldzeichmeister. He was married to Louis XVI's sister Elizabeth. Father of 3 children: Mary, Catherine, Anton.
Романовы AU: Пётр III(1728 - 1791 ) и Екатерина II(1729 - 1792).

i'm a short hair aisha truther though i do enjoy drawing her w/ longer hair sometimes. alec in my head always had, like, "forgor to cut his hair" mediumlong hair and "forgor to shave" scraps of teen guy baby mustache. i do regret not giving him a friendship bracelet to match with aisha though. i would guess vista doesn't wear green outside her cape outfit... the way I see it is, being "missy" is Playing A Role to her. hence she chooses clothing that supports the role + clothing she (12yo) thinks is Practical. and i can have one (1) sophia picrew. as a treat.
they're in order of How Much My Special Little Guy They Are.

you're one of my favorite presences on my tumblr dash and i love all your stuff and really want to read your saiki x worm fic, but the problem is i have no idea what worm is. how much of a time investment would it be to catch up on it?
it’s over a million words long so probably a long time. no worries though i have not read worm either. i think that the story is fairly readable without knowing worm, but here’s a quick and dirty guide to the worm universe:
this is a dark and gritty “superheroes vs supervillains” universe. people who have superpowers are known as “parahumans,” or “capes” if they’ve taken up a life of villainy or heroing.
parahumans get their superpowers through “trigger events,” which are basically the worst/most traumatizing day of their life. you can imagine how well that goes
unbeknownst to (most) humans, the source of all parahuman powers are “shards”, which are portions of these large parasitic aliens who are basically using humans as guinea pigs to find cooler and more creative ways to use their abilities, in an effort to discover a way to escape entropy/heat death.
parahumans are categorized by type and rating, i.e. blaster, mover, shaker, changer, master, stranger, trump, etc. usually rated on a scale of 1-10 per category. most of them are exactly what they sound like
the main setting is brockton bay -- city where the government-run parahuman organization, the  PRT, is in a tenuous cold war / standoff with the parahuman-led gangs of the city:
E88 - white supremacist gang. has the most parahumans of any faction in the city. no one likes them.
ABB - pan-asian supremacy gang, led by lung and oni lee. fewest capes of any faction in the city but people are still cautious of fucking with them because lung’s fight with the endbringer leviathan resulted in the island of kyushu sinking.
the merchants: they just deal drugs
faultline and her mercenaries: they are fairly well-behaved when not on a job and keep their heads low, so the PRT mostly ignores them.
coil: aka thomas calvert, a high-ranked official in the PRT; wants to rule the city legally as the PRT director and also illegally as the boss of the underworld. his power allows him to simulate two timelines, and he can choose which timeline to keep. he is the secret boss of the undersiders, a group of small-time criminals. lisa/tattletale is there under duress, and the rest have their circumstances as well.
the triumvirate (3 most powerful capes in the world): alexandria (super strength, flight, eidetic memory & stupid fast processing/thinking that let her do shit like sensing emotions), legend (controls lasers), eidolon (can have any 3 powers he needs at any given time). 2 out of 3 of them are involved in a shady conspiracy, called cauldron, to save the world at any costs.
endbringers: 3 giant monsters that take turns attacking cities at regular intervals, costing millions of lives with every single attack. heroes and villains have a truce whenever endbringer fights roll around, so they can focus on fighting the endbringers.
behemoth: giant beast with versatile dynakinesis, picture earth/ground, irradiation, lava, explosions, whatever.
leviathan: giant beast that controls water
the simurgh: aka the hopekiller -- a pure white angel-like figure. the more you are exposed to her screaming, the more she alters your mental patterns, which allows her to turn people into psychological ticking time-bombs. combined with her potent precognition, she uses this ability to set up “simurgh plots” that cause a lot of devastation across the world. she has extremely potent telekinesis and the ability to tap into the powers of nearby parahumans to build dangerous weapons. cities usually get quarantined permanently if she attacks, in order to prevent her simurgh plots from advancing.
slaughterhouse 9: a group of 9 parahumans who are infamous for, well, slaughtering. wherever they go, they slaughter people in horrific ways and if you don’t die from encountering their attack, well, you’ll wish you were dead instead
about the only other thing you would need to know is that sophia hess is shadow stalker, one of the wards in the ward program that the PRT runs for underage heroes. in her civilian identity she and emma barnes bullied taylor hebert (protagonist of worm) so badly that taylor triggered.
(thanks @meltyfaust for the corrections!)

D.W. Colt → Genevieve Padalecki, Olivia Munn, Sophia Bush, Penn Badgley → Human Shifter
→ Basic Information
Age: 47
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Bisexual
Birthday: February 4th
Zodiac Sign: Aquarius
Religion: Agnostic
→ Her Personality
D.W. has always had issues forming attachments to people. Since she was a child, she looked at things through an overly pragmatic lens and tried to analyze people to best understand them. This most likely stemmed from her mother coming and going and her father’s constant distraction when she was young. She has very few familial connections, and doesn’t let many people past the outside shell that she created. One person who has wormed their way through is D.W.’s fellow clan member, Greta Bow. They connected when Greta wanted to shadow her and she was able to help her work through the trauma she experienced at the hands of hunters. While Greta ended up staying at her current position, D.W. fell in love with her. She knows nothing will come from it, but it keeps her going throughout the day. One unique thing is D.W. ’s ability to view herself, her actions, and her beliefs as tools to help fix what is wrong. She can detach from her emotions and do what is necessary to keep things on the right path.
This detachment doesn’t mean she doesn’t care, however. She cares about ideas and issues a lot, specifically those related to her career. As a Victim Advocate she is able to connect with her clients, both supernatural and human alike. She fights for them and for their safety whether it is from abusive parents or spouses, or just a system that wronged them. She is a driving force to try and end non consensual changes in the Animal Shifter community, and specifically wants to go after the Nimbles and Hyenas. Another goal that she has dedicated her current existence towards is ending the Colt family of hunters. A couple of years ago she set out to seduce one of the brothers in order to gather information. It went further and further, and she has been married to Colin Colt for almost a year. Though she doesn’t know how long it will go on for, she knows it will end with the clan taking the Colts down.
→ Her Personal Facts
Occupation: Victim Advocate
Scars: Depending on the Shift/Form
Tattoos: Depending on the Shift/Form
Two Likes: Boots and Being Alone
Two Dislikes: Dogs and Bright Lipsticks
Two Fears: Being Compromised and Childbirth
Two Hobbies: Shooting and Taxidermy
Three Positive Traits: Patience, Undisturbed, Unbothered
Three Negative Traits: Detached, Calculating, Overambitious
→ Her Connections
Parent Names:
Kenneth Grainger (Father): Despite living in the same city, Ken and D.W. rarely see each other. Occasionally they’ll meet up if Molly and her partner are in town, but that only happens once or twice a year.
Priscilla Grainger (Mother): Priscilla has flitted in and out of D.W.’s life  since she’s been born. When Molly came around, she tried to stay longer, but never lasted longer than a season. Last D.W. heard she was in Edmonton.
Sibling Names:
Molly Bliss (Sister): Molly moved to Albuquerque shortly after her 30th birthday to follow a fellow human shifter, Drew Bliss. The two have lived happily as artists in the interim 15 years. D.W. isn’t very good about reaching out to anyone, so Molly typically initiates all phone calls.
Children Names:
None.
Romantic Connections:
Greta Bow (Beloved): She only truly became acquainted with Greta when she showed interest in the victim advocate branch. When she began opening up to her, D.W. helped her with the trauma from her own capturing. Greta then began shadowing her and they spent nearly every day together for a few months. Slowly, D.W. fell for her very genuine soul. She knows the feelings aren’t reciprocated, but is happy to settle with the fact that she is in her life.
Colin Colt (Husband): D.W. seduced and married Colin to get information on the Colts, and eventually take them down. Now he’s pushing for babies, and she’s running out of ways to say no.
Platonic Connections:
Arthur Milligan (Good Friend): Art is a good friend and the only other person in the family who has a connection with the Colts. His face is known to them as her friend from high school and college, and at times he is the only human shifter she sees for weeks. She always knows that she can count on him when she needs a break from it all.
Churchill Darling (Friend): Church jokingly gave her the idea to make one of the Colts fall for her, after a particularly long ranting session about them. He gave her his full support when she laid it out for him, Sirius, and Vincent, and went toe to toe for it.
Sirius Cobic (Leader): Sirius was the one who finally gave her the go ahead to infiltrate the Colts. With his blessing she has been able to create a massive network of information on the Colts that will lead to their demise.
Vincent Kane (Friend): Vincent does not approve of her mission and was the only force working against her in her quest to start following the Colts. It has made their friendship frosty at times, though they do get along.
Douglas Gish (Friend): Douglas is a good person to go to when she needs to decompress. He’s funny and quick witted, though not annoyingly so. He has a good mind and is great at conversation.
Lillian Pickford (Friend and Coworker): Lillian and D.W. often work together when Lillian is trying to gain justice for her victims. They get along well and share a passion for their work. D.W. sees Lillian’s insecurity and is working out a way to help with her confidence.
Emmanuel Flores (Former Potential Client): Emmanuel was a perfect example of how Percy paid someone off after he ruined their life, however he didn’t want to bring anything forward, or be used as an example against the Nimbles.
Jesse Wicker (Client): Jesse’s parents were killed a few weeks ago, in what looks to be an attack by a hyena. D.W. has been helping to organize the funeral and get Jesse on his feet. He’s turning 18 in a month, and won’t have the support of the system afterwards.
Caroline Hess (Client): She has been helping Caroline process the paperwork for the divorce from her abusive ex-husband. He has continued to try and intimidate Caroline, despite numerous restraint orders. If he threatens her anymore, D.W. may take care of him, and Caroline won’t have to finish the filing.
Hostile Connections:
Elle Colt (Target): Elle, like many of the Colts, to a liking to D.W. quickly. They appeared to be the same age, had the same interests, and could even share clothes. Elle, along with Blaine and Colin, was her primary target in order to be accepted by the Colt family.
Blaine Colt: (Target): Blaine was nearly as easy to win over as his brother, and was actually her initial target before D.W knew he was married. He has a shrewdness about him, however, that made her back off in the end. They’ll often go shooting together when she has to spend time with him. Lately, D.W has been unsure about their connection thanks to Imani whispering in his ear.
Alice Colt: (Target): Alice has a deep distrust of D.W. that stems all the way back to before the wedding when she saw her slipping her ring on and off before coming “home”. She suspects that Alice brought it up to Colin, but it didn’t take much for her to gaslight the younger woman. She knows that the cruelty streak runs deep with Alice and can’t wait to get rid of her.
Hailey Colt (Target): If D.W. had to pick a Colt that she could tolerate the most it would most likely be Hailey. She minds her business and she doesn’t share any overly obnoxious opinions when they go on walks. D.W. can see how depressed she is, and wonders how no one else sees it. Then she remembers that she has a job, and not to get emotionally involved.
Casper Colt (Target): D.W. finds Casper the most arrogant of the Colts, simply due to the fact he has done nothing, yet walks around like royalty. She knows Blaine and Colin are getting sick of the attitude as well, and is looking forward to seeing him get torn down.
Iris Colt (Target): D.W. thinks it’s a bit middle ages to arrange a marriage for power consolidation, but it’s not really her place to say. She has some sympathy for Iris, and wonders what she might have been if not a hunter.
Imani Colt (Dislike): Imani is going to blow D.W cover and she has no idea how to get the former Anderson hunter off of her back. D.W did not have the correct intelligence on Blaine and Imani’s relationship and it has thrown a wrench in her plans. She is unsure whether to start playing it extra nice or go on the defensive.
Percy McCormick (Dislikes): Percy McCormick doesn’t care about the people he unleashes on Chicago or the trauma that he leaves behind when he allows reckless and dangerous changes. A significant number of supernaturals who come to her are Nimbles, looking for any kind of answer.
Juliette Willott (Dislikes): D.W. is incredibly suspicious of Juliette. She doesn’t like the radio silence that much of the hyenas became once she took over, and she knows she is behind the uptick in random changes.
Jin Asato (Former Contact): Jin was her primary contact within the Hyenas before Juliette took over. She thought she was making headway with convincing him to stop the neverending non consensual changes, but all communication ceased once Juliette came to town. Now, Jin won’t answer her emails or calls.
Pets:
Ruger (Colin’s Dog): Ruger, like all domesticated animals with Human Shifters, hates her. He seems to be the only one who has figured her out. She’s considered letting him loose, or killing him herself, but he won’t let her get within 10 feet of him.
