need an age regression/de-aging fic where a post-KH4 riku has to take care of a younger sora, and bb sora is just completely awestruck over how strong and kind and pretty (and tall!!) his best friend riku got… and is so transparently smitten that riku, who is actually dating present-day sora, is just like: wow we really were oblivious how did either of us miss sora’s glaring crush on me??
#soriku#i’m picturing like… sora right before kh1 or post-kh2#old enough to have butterflies over this other riku but not quite old enough to know what it means yet#just a puppy crush#there’s angst potential too if it’s kh2 sora before he found his riku#so he throws himself sobbing at older riku#but a BBS sora bouncing around teen riku would be very cute also#anyway i would write it myself but i don’t have the time#also am not confident about writing children#i just want riku getting to see firsthand that he wasn’t the only one pining for years and years#and that sora always loved him even at his worst#8yo sora doesn’t care that his riku teased him sometimes he still wants to play games with big riku#10yo sora doesn’t understand why his riku said they’re too old to hold hands#and is thrilled that big riku is happy to give him hugs and ruffle his hair#kh1 sora doesn’t care about their old ‘rivalry’ or that his riku was working with maleficent#he is just overjoyed to learn that riku came back to the side of light and that they get to be friends again#kh2 sora is loud about how much he missed him and very impressed by how far riku has come as a keyblade master#(also blushes when he sees him working out and then is confused as to why)#(i am thinking of that one manga panel where sora talks about riku’s “big arms” and how he can carry big logs by himself lmfao)#any of these soras would follow a cool older riku around like a duckling and be wowed by everything he does i am convinced

This one scene from the KH1 manga been living rent free in my head so I had to redraw it
Tumblr media
And of course I added my own aspects when Sora is now imagining a log.
I saw this panel again and I just started laughing for over ten minutes straight because of it. It's not even THAT funny it's just the fact that Sora describes him in this way and it's like that's not straight.
HE HAD TO GO IN THAT MUCH DETAIL TO DESCRIBE HIS BEST FRIEND ON WHY HE IS SO STRONG
Who says, "hIs ChEsT iS tHiCk LiKe A lOg?!"

how would you rate the kh games?if you played them that is
You have no idea how sad it makes me to be asked this. Has it been so long since I last live logged KH? Is age finally catching up to me
Anyway:
Kingdom Hearts 2 — this is THE game for me. It's the best of the KH console games (no offense to KH1, full offense to KH3). This game introduces both a lot of incredibly interesting concepts and a lot of interesting elements re: the main characters that were ultimately ignored in KH3. LIKE KAIRI FIGHTING FOR HERSELF. 10/10 it's Riku Riku is here fucks me up
Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 days — I'm not saying anything new or surprising when I say this is the best in terms of plot and character development. This game is fucked up. I cried so much playing the end that I gave myself an headache. It gives you brain worms that make you love Xion like your own daughter. 9/10 it took me a while to get used to the inventory system
Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep — old fans will forgive me for putting it third, but while I do know this is THE KH sadgame, the game has these spikes in difficulty sometimes that genuinely made it hard for me to continue playing it. It's fucking great tho. Aqua Terra and Ventus own my heart. 8/10 the camera movement sucks
Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance — now, is this game just blatant gaybaiting with some poor plot choices? Yes. But the game is FUN. It's flashy, flowmotion and dream eaters just suck you in and you can't put them game down until the very end. It's the only KH games that I still replay every now and then exactly because I love fighting in the game so much it doesn't get as tedious as it does in other games, and I love gay Riku. 8/10 I see a sad old man with a dark heart
Kingdom Hearts — I'm sorry for putting it so low, but it's the game that gave me the hardest time and the only one I never finished due to my PC eating the savefiles. It's good! It's a good linear story, it still holds up so many years afterwards, I just like the other games more. 7/10
Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded — I WILL DEFEND THIS GAME TO THE END OF THE WORLD IT'S SO MUCH FUN AND I LOVE DATA SORA DEARLY. It's still y know barely a game but I LOVED it. 7/10
Kingdom Hearts 3 — I own this one I have yet to play it but I saw my girlfriend play it and so many elements of the plot get on my nerves it's insane. Rip Kairi you had so much potential but no you just exist to be Sora's shitty beard. It has its moments and many of them made me cry, but you know. Also I will never forgive what they did to flowmotion. 6/10
Honorable mention: Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories. I'm not gonna rate it because sadly it's the only game I've never played and I don't wanna judge it based only on watching the plot on YouTube or the way the manga portrays the story. I know it's terrible gameplay with great plot but I don't wanna judge anything I haven't played.

sometimes i think about them post-game and wonder how Neku deals with there being "two Shikis". then i wonder how it would make Shiki feel and how it could make her envy and insecurities resurface. maybe Neku catches on (eventually) and reassures her that, no, he's not gonna replace her.. it's just really weird and he needs time to get used to it. or something like that ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Review! Digimon Adventure: (2020) Episode 63: The Crest of Courage
Tumblr media
In this episode, Taichi undergoes a test to prove he’s worthy of the power he’s already busted out twice before.
As inconsistent as the crest activation suite has been, at least it’s given us varied, sometimes interesting scenarios involving helping innocent Digimon and exploring the various reaches of the world. We’ve gotten to see some old friends again, both from this series and seasons from the past. Doing something different for the main guy like a direct test isn’t out of bounds at all, but it does sap the fun out of these escapades. It also puts the entire focus on Taichi, which is never a good thing in this series. While it doesn’t do anything wrong and Taichi at least shows a little bit of life, its simple nature and the bust of a reveal at the end makes it a hard one to get excited over.
Taichi’s route to his crest has been a weird one, criss-crossing everybody else’s paths and sticking his nose in everything. Was that part of this ultimate test, showing that true courage is following the arrows blindly without asking too many questions? Absolutely not! His winding road is never commented on, nor does it alone embody any of the traits of courage Valkyriemon was looking for. Instead, we get another straight-up crest test, isolating Taichi in a world that’s all about him showing off his courage. Not even a hostage this time! The idea is fine and the visuals are strong, but it’s unfortunate how it abandons everything that came before it.
At least not everything’s forgotten. Taichi’s companion here is a simple Botamon, rescued from some hostile Goblimon. The meeting is a nice return to basics, as it reminds Taichi of his first meeting with Agumon, back when launching himself into harm’s way was a novel and admirable approach rather than a reckless default. The sentiment is there, and that counts for a little bit. Even his aquatic adventure with Seadramon evokes his first river escape with Sora. It never gets much deeper than “remember when this happened,” but it had the opportunity. At one point, Taichi wishes he could evolve like a Digimon. You’d think he’d have picked up on that being the point of this whole excursion.
While the thought is nice, it’s still Taichi we’re dealing with here, limiting how deep anything’s going to get. He seems to get what this is right away, following Valkyriemon to each challenge, working his way through them on the spot, occasionally coming up with some randomly clever solutions, and only seldomly worrying about his own safety. His more pressing concern is Botamon, but c’mon, look at him! The whole exercise just shows how difficult the crest of courage is to represent in an interesting capacity. It’s so frequently reduced to bravely confronting every problem, which is no different than everyone else this season. Showing off the fear that someone must overcome and acknowledging the difference between bravery and recklessness are the real keys to a good courage story. This is as close as this series gets to that, but it falls far short of anything good.
Taichi does pass, at least, bowling Botamon out of harm’s way, willing to take it on himself. It triggers some more silhouette power from Botamon to stop the Allomon and win the game. The prize could not be more disappointing. Valkyriemon gives us information that we mostly already knew about the holy war, the key sacrifices, and the big miracle that shows up when everyone really needs the bad guys to just go away. Yep, the great power they’ve spent all arc striving for is… Omegamon. The same Omegamon that’s already shown up twice. And long enough ago that all the intrigue over feather magic is long forgotten. The key is apparently getting everybody to want it hard enough. You know, the same way they beat Millenniumon.
Is Omegamon going to be the only decider in this final battle against the Great Catastrophe? We should hope not. It has plenty of alternate forms and potential power-ups to add something to the mix. But it confirms the fear we had back in episode two: by using Omegamon so early, it’s one fewer thing to look forward to now. This should have been the grand culmination of everyone’s efforts manifesting into some new and sexy thing to give them a fighting chance. Heck, if it hadn’t appeared earlier in the series, we’d be frothing at the bit to catch a glimpse of Omegamon here. But thanks to them playing that card twice already, all we get is old news.
My Grade: C+
Loose Data:
Boy that whole thing with Knightmon looked poised to turn into something bigger, like some Green Knight action. Now there’s a test of courage!
Why was Sora even part of this episode? I understand the desire for continuity from the previous episode, but they’ve never been all that concerned about that before and it really hasn’t degraded the show that much. Now we’re left wondering what Sora was doing this entire time while Taichi was disassociating.
Try not to think about the physics behind Taichi’s encounter with Seadramon. Between his ability to stop getting sucked in by treading water and his miraculous ability to maneuver that heavy log, it’s… a lot.
It’s too clever a move to dock too many points for it, so just remember that coating yourself with bubbles makes you fireproof!
There were several references to the original Digimon Adventure movie hiding in that one sequence with Botamon silhouetting his way through Agumon’s evolution line and back.
Taichi seems to be getting all the credit for making Omegamon happen. Even if we discount Takeru and Hikari as representative of the praying hearts and all that, where does this leave Yamato, whose Digimon provides literally half of Omegamon’s form?
Omegamon is described as an “existence which surpasses countless space-time,” which you just know is going to launch a million theories about this show’s connection to the Digimon multiverse. This isn’t the Xros Wars manga!

Anime i’ve Watched
That begin with a N (Part 2)!
Yep this is how i’m going to bring over all the anime and manga i’ve watched and posted about on the old blog. It’s not so detailed but it will have to do. Anything new I watch or read from this point on will have their own posts.
Net-juu no Susume  (Recovery of an MMO Junkie):
Genres: Game, Comedy, Romance, ONA
Tumblr media
Synopsis:  For the first time since graduating high school, 30-year-old Moriko Morioka is unemployed—and she couldn't be happier. Having quit her long-standing job of over 11 years, Moriko quickly turns to online games to pass her now-plentiful free time, reinventing herself as the handsome and dashing male hero "Hayashi" in the MMO Fruits de Mer. With the pesky societal obligations of the real world out of the way, she blissfully dives headfirst into the realm of the game, where she promptly meets the kind and adorable healer Lily. Befriending each other almost instantly, the two become inseparable just as Moriko herself becomes more and more engrossed in her new "life" as Hayashi. Eventually, Moriko adopts the reclusive lifestyle in its entirety, venturing out from the safety of her apartment only when absolutely necessary. Meanwhile, unbeknownst to Moriko, a timid 28-year-old corporate worker named Yuuta Sakurai has also logged onto Fruits de Mer from the other side of town. Coincidentally bumping into each other at the convenience store one night, both write off their meeting as no more than just another awkward encounter with a stranger—however, fate has more in store for them than they think. [Written by MAL Rewrite]
Tumblr media
My Rating: 8/10
Finished airing in 2017 with a total of 10 episodes
My Thoughts: The male lead wears glasses! In case that’s something anyone but me cares about... Aside from that I can’t remember much about this one which is never a sign of an amazing anime so it’s up to you friends! Will you watch it or leave it?!
Nijiiro Days:
Genres: Comedy, Romance, School, TV Short, Shoujo, Slice of Life
Tumblr media
Synopsis:  Nijiiro Days follows the colorful lives and romantic relationships of four high school boys—Natsuki Hashiba, a dreamer with delusions of love; Tomoya Matsunaga, a narcissistic playboy who has multiple girlfriends; Keiichi Katakura, a kinky sadist who always carries a whip; and Tsuyoshi Naoe, an otaku who has a cosplaying girlfriend. When his girlfriend unceremoniously dumps him on Christmas Eve, Natsuki breaks down in tears in the middle of the street and is offered tissues by a girl in a Santa Claus suit. He instantly falls in love with this girl, Anna Kobayakawa, who fortunately attends the same school as him. Natsuki's pursuit of Anna should have been simple and uneventful; however, much to his dismay, his nosy friends constantly meddle in his relationship, as they strive to succeed in their own endeavors of love. [Written by MAL Rewrite]
Tumblr media
My Rating: 8/10
Finished airing in 2016 with a total of 24 episodes. Each episode running about 13 minutes in length.
My Thoughts: Love the manga, which I keep meaning to finish because it is a completed title... and I should probably finish it before manga gets even harder to find online with the way things are currently going...
Anywho, the anime! Pretty good. The episodes are about half that of a normal anime but you have a 24 episode count so it’s basically the same as having a 12 episodes run with the usual running time!  I’d watch it is you want more content after the manga, but keep in mind that the anime does not cover the entirety of the manga!
No Game No Life:
Genres: Game, Adventure, Comedy, Supernatural, Ecchi, Fantasy
Tumblr media
Synopsis:  No Game No Life is a surreal comedy that follows Sora and Shiro, shut-in NEET siblings and the online gamer duo behind the legendary username "Blank." They view the real world as just another lousy game; however, a strange e-mail challenging them to a chess match changes everything—the brother and sister are plunged into an otherworldly realm where they meet Tet, the God of Games. The mysterious god welcomes Sora and Shiro to Disboard, a world where all forms of conflict—from petty squabbles to the fate of whole countries—are settled not through war, but by way of high-stake games. This system works thanks to a fundamental rule wherein each party must wager something they deem to be of equal value to the other party's wager. In this strange land where the very idea of humanity is reduced to child's play, the indifferent genius gamer duo of Sora and Shiro have finally found a real reason to keep playing games: to unite the sixteen races of Disboard, defeat Tet, and become the gods of this new, gaming-is-everything world. [Written by MAL Rewrite]
Tumblr media
My Rating: 7/10
Finished airing in 2014 with a total of 12 episodes.
My Thoughts: I have a laundry list of things i’m meaning to watch, read or do. Watching the No Game No Life movie on Netflix is one of those things. Anyways! I recall this one being alright, nice art/ animation/ character design and an interesting premise but too short and underdeveloped. One of those animes that may have benefited greatly from a longer run or second season.
No.6:
Genres: Action, Sci-fi, Mystery, Drama
Tumblr media
Synopsis:  Many years ago, after the end of a bloody world war, mankind took shelter in six city-states that were peaceful and perfect... at least on the surface. However, Shion—an elite resident of the city-state No. 6—gained a new perspective on the world he lives in, thanks to a chance encounter with a mysterious boy, Nezumi. Nezumi turned out to be just one of many who lived in the desolate wasteland beyond the walls of the supposed utopia. But despite knowing that the other boy was a fugitive, Shion decided to take him in for the night and protect him, which resulted in drastic consequences: because of his actions, Shion and his mother lost their status as elites and were relocated elsewhere, and the darker side of the city began to make itself known. Now, a long time after their life-altering first meeting, Shion and Nezumi are finally brought together once again—the former elite and the boy on the run are about to embark on an adventure that will, in time, reveal the shattering secrets of No. 6. [Written by MAL Rewrite]
Tumblr media
My Rating: 8/10
Finished airing in 2011 with a total of 11 episodes.
My Thoughts: Just read the manga and watch this as extra, I can’t remember if the anime covered the entirety of the manga’s story but either way check out that source material first! The manga series is also completed which is a huge bonus. High point: The relationship between the two leads.
Noragami:
Genres: Action, Adventure, Comedy, Supernatural, Shounen
Tumblr media
Synopsis: In times of need, if you look in the right place, you just may see a strange telephone number scrawled in red. If you call this number, you will hear a young man introduce himself as the Yato God. Yato is a minor deity and a self-proclaimed "Delivery God," who dreams of having millions of worshippers. Without a single shrine dedicated to his name, however, his goals are far from being realized. He spends his days doing odd jobs for five yen apiece, until his weapon partner becomes fed up with her useless master and deserts him. Just as things seem to be looking grim for the god, his fortune changes when a middle school girl, Hiyori Iki, supposedly saves Yato from a car accident, taking the hit for him. Remarkably, she survives, but the event has caused her soul to become loose and hence able to leave her body. Hiyori demands that Yato return her to normal, but upon learning that he needs a new partner to do so, reluctantly agrees to help him find one. And with Hiyori's help, Yato's luck may finally be turning around.
Tumblr media
My Rating: 8/10
Finished airing in 2014 with a total of 12 episodes.
My Thoughts: Yes! Watch it! Love it! And also read it. Big downside: The updates for this manga are slow and the story is unfinished obviously. Upside: Two whole seasons of anime goodness, and if we’re really lucky we’ll eventually get another? Ok maybe not... but a girl can dream! Also this anime has one of my all time favourite opening themes! Amazing!
Noragami Aragoto:
Genres: Action, Adventure, Comedy, Supernatural, Shounen
Tumblr media
Synopsis:  Yato and Yukine have finally mended their relationship as god and Regalia, and everyone has returned to their daily life. Yato remains a minor and unknown deity who continues taking odd jobs for five yen apiece in the hopes of one day having millions of worshippers and his own grand shrine. Hiyori Iki has yet to have her loose soul fixed by Yato, but she enjoys life and prepares to attend high school nonetheless. Taking place immediately after the first season, Noragami Aragoto delves into the complicated past between Yato and the god of war Bishamon. The female god holds a mysterious grudge against Yato, which often results in violent clashes between them. It doesn't help that Bishamon's most trusted and beloved Regalia, Kazuma, appears to be indebted to Yato. When lives are on the line, unraveling these mysteries and others may be the only way to correct past mistakes. [Written by MAL Rewrite]
Tumblr media
My Rating: 9/10
Finished airing in 2015 with a total of 13 episodes.
My Thoughts: Another amazing opening theme! Seriously this series really knew how to pick them! Also have crushes on a solid chunk of the cast... so there’s that.

psa about tumblr user cptsdhymns, they’re a pedo
this is half of the callout im going to be posting, that i feel this part is necessary to get out there about this user i had the displeasure of knowing for some time, since the rest of the callout is taking me awhile to finish because of work and school. Long story short, cptsdhymns is a pedophile and a danger to minors, and just in general very gross! please block and report! idc what you do beyond that though. please reblog this
Known usernames on here: cptsdhymns (current), cptsdjohnnycake, martyrhymns, vulneramartyr, lovelydamagedtix, childmartyr, martyrtrauma, c-ptsdjohnnycade, ceetalllis, dyingjohnnycade, themartyrsystem, officialcarebears twitter: crosshatchings vent: mashiach
trigger warnings for: pedophilia, racism, incest
first and foremost, i will be referring to tumblr user “cptsdhyms” as “annemarie” during this entire post, that is the name i knew them by back before i cut them off in june of last year, i will also use they/them as they do not have their pronouns listed anywhere
pedophilia
annemarie admitted to me, through kik, that they dated a minor, and then proceeded to shift all blame to said minor and claimed the minor abused them (and they conveniently do not have the proof for that)  link to images  notice that they dont specify an age at all, just use the term “map” (minor attracted person) and simply say the victim was younger than them. I know of who the victim is, and they made a post on this which can be found here (live link) / archive do not bring the victim into this, do not message the victim about this.  Annemarie until recently was still bringing up their victim to cause drama. The victim was 15 at the time of their relationship and annemarie was 19.  This may have happened roughly 5 years ago, but annemarie is still showing interest in minors. They once let me into their vent account to make a post that they lost their phone and may not be on for awhile, while in their account, i pulled up a message, on accident trying to log out, they had sent to a 15 year old they befriended and saw this and was concerned but was unable to reach out to the minor at that time and lost track of their wherabouts.
image of me in their account conversation we had about me posting that image of them telling a 15 year old they have a “qpp” crush on them and said minor’s bio with annemarie’s @ in it.
i apologize for the quality of these images if they are low res on mobile idk whats wrong with my laptop. Annemarie at this time was 23 and the minor was 15.
take of that what you will, but thats the first part of this.
This isnt pedophilia but it should be noted they vagued a minor and made him extremely uncomfortable earlier this year dms of the minor talking about being uncomfy with them
minor talking about them copying his pages on his blog | dm between him and his friend
lastly the vague post annemarie made about said minor for being a double (annemarie claims to have a system, but is faking and the proof will be in the update coming shortly) annemarie’s cringey (now deleted) page about hating doubles which they made after finding this minor’s blog
its funny how annemarie currently is trying to downplay me being uncomfortable with them because theyre a pedophile and i dont want them on any of my blogs bc im a csa survivor, after telling them repeatedly to just leave me alone, as “kin drama over doubles” when they literally harrassed a minor over this.
imagine being this person and acting like someone calling them out for pedophilia is kin double drama, literally cant relate
racism
oh fun fact here’s violence against an asian woman, not like you know, im asian and they calls me abusive for calling them out lol and used to have me in their byf

likes  ero///manga sensei, an anime by the same person that did oreimo with similar incest themes (and general pedophilia)
kins from citrus, yet another incest anime (she deleted the posts for this anime off her blog at this point)
knows ero///manga is bad but continues to kin from it and watched the whole show
misc
kins from nekopara
asking me, who at the time was recovering from an eating disorder, which they knew about, to “motivate them not to eat”
still likes snk despite its extreme problems
kins from dragon maid
since i started working on this they have started to openly threaten me on their blog which a couple friends brought to my attention, because i made a post on my old blog to leave me alone (on cloti-moved, if you wanna go check the post out, the blog is hidden from searches), yes i am ophelia it was a name i went by  from 2017 to 2018 as that is my irl name
