The Santaka chile peppers are starting to turn red in the greenhouse:) 🌶️ if you are unfamiliar with this variety, they are spicy, pencil-thin peppers that originated from Japan in the 1950s. Totally love how the spent flower petals look like little chef hats at the end of each pepper ( see third photo! ). 👩‍🍳 . . . . #spicypeppers #chilepeppers #greenhousegardening #santaka #chilepeppers #grownfromseed #peppers https://www.instagram.com/p/Cp76sphO51e/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Fresh harvest of Padron peppers grown on an aeroponic Tower Garden🌶🔥. The Padron pepper (Pimiento de Padrón) is a chili pepper about 7 cm. in length originating from Padrón, Spain. Padrons are served sautéed in olive oil with a little sea salt, and eaten as tapas (appetizers) in Spain. Normally, Padron peppers are harvested when they are still green and aren’t spicy. However, we let ours turn red and we were quite surprised by how spicy they are! They definitely pack some heat!
