MotU mini-comic by Bruce Timm: The Terror Claws Strike
Tumblr media
Another mini-comic both penciled and inked by Bruce Timm.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Poor Rattlor, physically abused AND miscolored.
Tumblr media
Military amateurs think about tactics, professionals think about logistics. Though it’s not clear how destroying crops (”FEAST on the Eternians’ MISERY!”) benefits him.
Tumblr media
Spikor has his own home and works as a blacksmith, which would be why he’s rarely at Snake Mountain for Skeletor to use as a henchman. In the Filmation cartoons, he was only a henchman in “Visitors From Earth”, “The Games” and the Christmas Special.

Uh, Skeletor, buddy? Just cast some spells while he’s walking away from you.

There aren't too many mutants who could do damage to He-Man, but Storm could be one of them. Storm is consistently tough to beat. It doesn't matter if she's going up against The Blob, Emma Frost, Callisto, Sauron, Juggernaut, Omega Red, Sabretooth, or the Sentinels. One thing Storm hasn't done is defeat a big bad. She's never single-handedly faced and defeated Apocalypse, Mr. Sinister, or Magneto. That could be a strike against her here. Granted, He-Man has run into trouble with the likes of Beast-Man, Mer-Man, Spikor, Webstor, and others who aren't at the level of Apocalypse, Sinister, or Magneto either. Usually He-Man quickly gains the upper hand against those guys, though. It's the dragons, rock monsters, and other wild beasts that give He-Man a little more trouble. Storm has shown on a few occasions, though, that she's mighty powerful, especially when she unleashes the full force of her powers. She unloaded on the Savage Land and she helped balance the weather on an alien planet before. She could wreak havoc on Eternia, making it almost impossible for He-Man to even approach her. With hurricane-like winds, lightning, snow, rain, etc., I'm not sure how He-Man could hope to even get close to Storm. After all, he can't fly. Sure, he can create a whirlwind with his sword, but that's under normal conditions. I'm not sure he'd have luck doing that when Storm is already creating intense winds. The question is: could Storm defeat He-Man? She could try freezing him, but I think he'd break free of any ice. She could try to flood him, but he can swim and hold his breath for long amounts of time. She could create damaging winds, but it would just cause damage to the battle ground, not He-Man himself. Lightning? I'm not sure how that effects him. After all, it's a pretty impressive light show when he transforms into He-Man. I'd assume he could withstand some lightning zaps from Storm, too. It's almost a stalemate. Who can last longer. While Storm does unleash an incredible amount of power, she does tire. Eventually, I think she'd get worn out and He-Man could attack at that point. Winner: He-Man

I heard that the He-Man and the Masters of the Universe CGI TV-Series will End after the 3rd Season and if that's True, then I'm deeply Disappointed to this TV-Series. But I really Hope there are a few more Seasons to come for this MOTU TV-Series and I hope there will be some more Characters to come from both Heroic Warriors and Evil Warriors in this MOTU TV-Series as well like Mekaneck, Fisto, Snout Spout, Roboto, Buzz-Off, Whiplash, Two-Bad, Spikor, Faker, Scare Glow and Stinkor!
Slowly, I am learning more and more about Netflix business practices and it seems like ending shows at the 3rd season is one of the ways they avoid paying their employees their fair wages.
So, unless we can make CGI/Core MotU supremely popular by the time the 3rd season in released, the it's very probable that season 3 will be the last season.
Now, Mattel still retains ownership of the characters and they do have more novels, comics, action figures, and merchandise planned to be released into next year. So the CGI/Core franchise will still exist. And if Mattel is still planning on producing toys and books for the series, then they might also be willing to co-fund additional episodes of the show if for no other reason than to continue to promote their toy line. But that is speculation on my part.
For now, all we know FOR SURE is that season 3 comes out this August and the season will end with "a conclusion".

Physically disabled Masters of the Universe characters
1. Trap Jaw
Tumblr media
He’s lost at least his right arm and jaw. Both legs below the knee may also be prosthetics. Note the parts shared with Man-E-Faces (credit to Battle Ram Blog https://battleramblog.com/ ): I don’t think the fiction has ever talked about Man-E’s body below the head, so maybe he counts, maybe he doesn’t?
2. Tri-Klops: blind. Never addressed in the ‘80s, confirmed in 2002.
Tumblr media
3. Mekaneck. As explained in the ‘80s episode “Search for a Son”, he would be quadriplegic if Man-At-Arms hadn’t found him with a broken neck after a camping accident and gotten him a cyborg neck.
Tumblr media
4. Fisto. Lost his right arm below the elbow. Seen on-screen in a 2002 episode.
Tumblr media
5. Jitsu. A rarely-used character, Jitsu must be included because he clearly mirrors Fisto.
Tumblr media
6. Spikor. Lost left hand. Like Trap Jaw’s multiple attachments, he can swap between an extending trident and a blacksmith’s hammer. In the ‘80s cartoon, he went from having two intact hands to his trident without the injury being addressed.
Tumblr media
7. Rio Blast.
Tumblr media
... he’s got a hollow torso and thighs. I don’t know, folks. The UK comics and 1987 Mattel style guide say this poor man was given his cybernetics to save his life after defending his home world Loredos from an attack by Horde Prime, and then the Astro-Jail he was working in was hit by a meteor, which he got stuck to and it subsequently crashed into Eternia.
8. Rotar. Lost at least both legs. Man-At-Arms saved his life.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There are more! However, I’ll stop counting here for now because I don’t know if it’s time to move on to deep cuts like Terroar and Trap Jaw II or if there are more famous characters to count.
