Gonna go a bit insane thinking that Sam would so genuinely think Dean would let him sacrifice himself again especially when he was in such broken mental state. Like Sam at the end of trial giving that speech about how he has let Dean down was not the Sam that came to the conclusion that he should say yes to listen and jump into the cage, like i think there was more emotional turmoil and self degradation behind that too but Sam in Sacrifice was not in his sane mind so when in 9.12 he is telling Dean he can't trust him, not just because of Gadreel but bc of how he talked him out of closing hell's gates, it's just.... It's just sad and funny like boy do you just not understand??? Do you not understand Dean wouldn't trade you for the whole world???

But anyway i love the scene there. I love the palpable yearning and how at the end of the day THEY WANT TO BE TOGETHER. No matter what logic tears them apart, no matter all the broken trusts and baggages, whenever they sit in the car together, it's better. It's better than anything else and it hurts them that they cannot have it with all the painful crap attached to it

Why did dean look so bewildered when garth mentioned dean and pie on s9?

Hello! I think you're talking about 9.12 Sharp Teeth, right? Where Dean's been invited to stay for lunch with Garth's werewolf family? And they're all sitting around the table eating their raw meat, except Dean's steak has apparently been cooked for him.

And Dean... is uncomfortable about even being in the same room with all of these werewolves, even though Garth vouched for them, because he truly believes there was something super fishy going on.

I mean, to be fair, he was right... but that's besides the point.

He's not bewildered about Garth mentioning pie. If this is the exchange you're referring to, this is the clip of the transcript from the superwiki:

REVEREND JIM: I understand your apprehension, Dean. Hunters and our kind don't have the best history together.

JOY [standing by her husband]: But I think you'll find we're not much different from you.

DEAN: Oh, sister, I highly doubt it.

REVEREND JIM: Why don't we break bread and see?

DEAN: Why would I do that?

[REVEREND JIM and JOY sigh and then leave for the dining room. GARTH is shocked at DEAN's rudeness.]

GARTH: Dean!

DEAN: What?

[A short time later all are seated at the table and JOY is serving raw animal organs to the entire table but DEAN who has an overcooked steak, corn and a burnt biscuit. DEAN watches with an almost sick look.]

JOY: Now, everybody eat up. But make sure you leave room for pie.

REVEREND JIM: Sister Joy's pies are famous throughout the badger state.

GARTH [eating]: Mm. Dean loves pie.

[DEAN glares daggers at him for even mentioning that fact. He continues to watch the people around the table hungrily enjoying the raw meat. He continues to look more sick and uncomfortable by the second.]

Dean did NOT want to share personal info with the room full of unknown werewolves. He didn't want to be there at all, and Garth is trying to be the friendly bridge between Dean and his new family. I think the superwiki transcript describes the scene aptly.
