The Merriam-Webster defined it as the slandering of a person usually with the intention of destroying public confidence in that person. Athi Murugan defined “Character Assassination” as the act of lowering one’s character in a bid to ruin the character of others. There are people that take maximum delight in ruining others reputation. These set of people have what I will like to call ‘Destructive Tendencies’. They oil their own ego by pulling other people down. False allegations are the most chronic form of mental abuse. When people can’t kill your dreams and purpose, they will try to assassinate your character. There are some people that your spirit will always irritate their demons! My favorite crackship that i dont ship is dussekar x cylam because. It'd probably be platonic as fuck. Dussekar hasnt seen the sun in probably a couple hundred years. Cylam this fucking loser who does nothing but create monolouges in his super cool emporium all day. They both have someone in their basement unwillingy. They are also blue. Dussekar would never drink tea. Cylam thinks coffee is whats wrong with the world and thats why he doesn't like anshine. Its cylam going out of his way to make cute little "dates" that normally end in 100s murdered and millions injured. Cylams this narcissistic god of all gods and Dussekars just some guy who wished upon a star once and got a book. Cylam visits paper robloxia at the worst moments purely to say hi to Dussekar while hes trying to talk about the future of paper robloxia with like the leaders of the state. Cylam kidnaps Dussekar to have cute little tea partys with him and one (1) time he got Dussekar coffee. Do you see where i am going with this.

Dussekar is an enegmatic and strange character, shrouded in mystery

[LONG POST INCOMING] [[like its massive]]

1st off, tell me if he EVER, at all , ONCE actively helps you

Chapter 1, Otempes does most of it

Chapter 2, Wiscara tags alongside you to take her scissors back and beats up herbrother ro do so

Chapter 3 you just go with Otempes, but THIS is when you meet Dussekar

Chapter 4 is primarily a solo mission, with Wiscara telling you where to go

Chapter 5 everyone tags along, EXCEPT Dussekar (put a pin in that for me)

Chapter 6, Tucker (who does not need to help) convinces you to take a more active approach instead of waiting for a problem to occur and then solving it (see chapters 1, 2, and 4)

Chapter 7 Base cleph and Otempes solve this, you coming along because Claire told you too.

Chapter 8 EVERYONE gets involved

...yeah hes not the defenition of a "team player".

2nd, Dussekar is just some guy, just some guy that got what he wanted because of a likely meaningless task

3rd, he seems to be apathetic or blatantly NOT CARE about scriptliss despite saying that he does. (put a note about the "apathetic part")

D: ...So you have no idea who released you?

S: N-no... I couldnt see behind me because my entire body was chained... I have no idea who cut the chains either

(Dussekar glances to the paper ball chained to scriptliss's ankle)

D: Hmm... well it seems they missed a chain. And the clamp is tightly secured. Does it hurt to walk?

S: N-n-no... *sniff*

D: Whats the matter?

S: It's just that *sniff* You knew i was chained up... Didnt you?

D: Well... not quite. I heard some rumors. I knew your general whereabouts, but i had no idea you were actually chained up...

D: Im sorry for not going to check up on you sooner. I figured that, wherever you were, you'd be fine on your own.

S: But *sniff* Thats how we lost 1x1x1x1 to the void, too. You assumed that he was safe enough on his own...

D: Hey, can we change the subject? The protagonist is right over there.

S: Oh, hi! Didn't see you over there, Protagonist. Were're just chill out here. Isn't that right Dussekar?

D: Absolutely frigid.

S: Hah! What a Dussekar. Always cracking jokes.

D: (Shhhh. Put a lid on it.)

This shows us a lot about the characters. Dussekar knew about rumors, meaning he forgot or didnt care to check on Scriptliss, who was IN HIS. WASTEBASKET.

Scriptliss does actually bring this up in their conversation (see red text), instead of confronting this or apologising for it, he changes the subject, focusing on protag.

Once scriptliss notices this he seems a lot more extroverted and friendly from his demeanor not even 5 seconds ago. Most likely scriptliss does not want anyone to find out what happened in pr2 but he does bring up some very good points.

There was no reason Dussekar should not have been able to check in on Scriptliss. Hes immortal, Dussekars immortal, his wastebasket is RIGHT THERE.

(seriously buddy, you cant spend 5 minutes to attempt to reconcile with you only remaining friend? he seems very willing now)

L: Alright then. What are you finally gonna do when you finally catch antagon? Surely your not going to send him to banland, are you? Hes just a kid, you know. Until recently, hes been living with his mother. What are you going to do then?

L: Hes just a younger version of you. Are you going to lash out at him when you finally get the plot book back?

L: Well?

idk man dussekar definitely looked like he was considering it. Its bad for antagon because hes a CHILD but its worse for scriptliss because hes immortal. like c'mon dude this is greek mythology levels of punishment.

TLDR:

Dussekar as a character seems to show that he does not care about his old friend and has no issues with sending anyone he disagrees with to infinity jail.

it gets better after apologising about screaming at antagon and talking to scriptliss though :thumbs_up:

Wiscara and Aristris relationship in spr is that kind of "sibling rivalry" trope, its not a bad trope by any means if done well.

Unfortunately, pretty much everything in spr is poorly executed.

I dont even know if there was a canon reason for Aristris taking the scissors

My hc was always "aristris salty af" but like when you thinm about it

Imagine your sister being on a first name basis with GOD, like any acomplishments you could ever hope to make would seem a hell of a lot smaller to anything your sister could do

But if you were a villain, you could be known by more people, no matter how awful those achivments are (maybe thats why Aristris is happy when talking abt tretone in the final battle)

I will be the first to admit that this was prolly the shinttiest thing wiscaras done (in my opinion) like he didnt even try to harm you, kidnap you sure, but the only two things that can kill you is the smarmy lake, windmill things (both are out of his mansion) and lava carpet; which by the way Aristris HIMSELF genuinely dosent seem to notice (could just be him being dumb though lol)

Like the guy seems to have taken a pretty big blow to the ego (and hip)

And when the CUMULI start liking your sister over YOU, thats just more salt in the wound.

Spr to me feels like a bunch of super cool ideas for characters, backstory, lore, and just a cool idea in general

But trips and splats on the ground when it comes to the execution

To me thats what it all boils down too--

-1xs death was shown off screen, characters got little to no reprimands for their actions, things go blatantly unexplained or mentioned once then never show up again, and the plot holes

Something that always throws me off is the place where everything is

Its all so... squished into one area which, fair; i dont wanna walk for 10 minutes to get to the next chapter-

- but aristris's mansion is super close to the forest; which has a completely different style and not to mention the mesa (spharas location) and harmony haven

Harmony haven is supposed to be a sister city but it feels more like an isolated part of cutout town.

I wish they made it so that the deeper you went into the city the more... old?/steampunk it gets or like they are more guards n stuff

Dont get me wrong i love these places they have SUCH COOL designs, they just feel a bit,,, squished? If you get what im saying

Af1 sorta had this problem (not to the extent spr has it because they feel more... isolated) but af2 kinda solves this by having different worlds, and the explaination for such a diverse amount of them is that their suited to their spesific points wants.

urghhhhh thinking again

kind of a shin post really, but i feel like spr is about the past.

the past "mistakes" of dussekar, pink i, and a whole bunch of other characters, all of them reminiscing on the past with either fondness and nostalgia, or remorse and regret

and moving on with your life after everything is said and done with. some characters have more trouble with this than others (cough cough crumpliss)

tldr this game could have been amazing if the characters were given more than 3 lines of dialouge :`)
