admittedly i don't know much about either ibara or tori... i never watched/read kiseki series lol. i know a speed run of ibara but i wouldn't say i uh. Know her. if you get what i mean... i think she's silly though. definitely a guy i'd pick up by the scruff of the neck if i ever dig in. tori was also a character i wasn't particularly interested in so i never dug in... i remember during my twitter days thinking her fans were annoying. which to be fair i was right but that was less because of tori himself and more Twitter.

everyone always talks about That One panel of Trigun: Multiple Bullets, but i havent seen anyone talk about how fucking BATSHIT INSANE the surrounding fight is

Vash & Wolfwood fighting back-to-back, both using the punisher as a shield

(the rest under a readmore bc this accidentally got LONG...)

Vash seeing the shots coming from behind & purposefully not moving bc he knows if he does, Wolfwood would get hit

Wolfwood getting injured too, but not moving from Vash's back. the way he's stanced, it looks Protective. he's doing what he can to keep Vash out of the direct line of fire.

even when he's getting shot up for it, he Doesn't Move. (this also seems to be the moment he got hurt, which leads into the panel later)

& throughout this whole scene, we are only seeing Wolfwood's reactions.

until the girls give them an opening, and they burst out with THIS:

Wolfwood injured, so he can't properly aim the punisher... and he gets around this by sticking one of the leather straps in his Mouth

and then we FINALLY get to see Vash's face again as he grabs the punisher (with a "GAN" sound effect, so he fuckin SLAPPED that metal hand on the punisher).

Wolfwood trusts him enough to just do what he says in the thick of battle, so we FINALLY get to the iconic panel:

which brings us to the aboslute insanity of what Vash is actually Doing.

"DON DON" -> two shots fired for two missiles launched. he literally manages to TURN THEM AROUND MID-FLIGHT (interesting to note that they seem to have internal propulsion, rather than simply being fired by Wolfwood. how many of these does Wolfwood have? they seem heavy.)

he manages to avert the third missile from hitting the dude directly, and instead makes it land Behind him. then the other two missiles, he rests his arm on Wolfwood's shoulders to hit them and direct them behind the other two enemies

Boom.

killing no-one, but showing an INSANE level of fine control AND teamwork.

and in the end, Wolfwood's arm is in a cast, Vash seems either unhurt or hurt but unbothered by it (typical Vash). And Life Goes On.

Skywalkers apart au! It's so precious that Anakin gets to be a dad, a rebellion general Dad but he gets to be there for at least one of them and Padme survives and gets to be a mom and maybe someday they get to meet and it's so good.

Also the concept of General Skywalker of the Rebellion feels like it has so much potential cause he was such a big figure in the Clone Wars, he was the Hero, the General, he could probably get the various splinter rebel cells (they were very divided in the early Rebellion) to follow him by sheer reputation and charisma. Imagine Anakin being at Hoth, like the attack is going along the usual Imperial imminent victory and suddenly an AT-AT has been thrown clear across the landscape and an announcement sounds out "General Skywalker has entered the field" cue Rebel Counterattack due to morale boost and Imperial Panic.

What happened to the 501st here? Did he go to the Venator's crash site where Ahsoka was during Order 66 what did he think when he saw all the dead folks?

Fun thought, Starkiller being the apprentice in this AU, means that Sidious has probably been comparing him to Anakin (in part because he's bitter he didn't fall, in other part cause it's great for fueling the darkside) for years so the first time they face off he's gonna be full of spiteful hatred (all going according to plan) before Starkiller gets styled on by the Skywalker, cause Anakin isn't crippled by the suit and that means he's still massively powerful in the force and skilled in the blade (Vader was too, but less than a whole Anakin), I could see Anakin pulling a Lightside version of the Rogue One Hallway scene against Stormtroopers (or even inquisitors).

Rebel General Anakin Skywalker would be an Imperial Boogeyman.

Leia would probably appreciate it for a while but also she'd get a bit annoyed about her dad's reputation and "Legend" and the fact that she's probably got that entire thing to measure up to, making her more reckless or foolhardy. That's a big shadow to live under.

Padme on the other hand is probably in a very different situation reputation wise, she was the senator for the new Emperor's home planet, she's the old queen of naboo from the Trade Federation attack, she's a founding member of one of the oldest discrete rebellion cells but that still leaves some stigma. She's probably so very worried about Imperial surveilance on her or Luke or the rest of her family, and it doesn't help that the Inquistorious has probably been sniffing around for a while.

YES!! yes absolutely! tbh i decided a while back he never gets an official promotion to general, everyone just calls him General Skywalker for so long that it sticks loll. BUT YEAH I mean working with a Jedi is rare and awe-inspiring enough for any rebellion cell but working with the hero with no fear??? half the rebels are wondering if they can interrupt this mission to ask for his autograph

its extra funny bc for the first few years of the empire he's lowkey depressed and like agh i failed the order republic AND my family i'm a terrible horrible no good jedi who nearly turned to the dark side and while he's having this spiral there's some rebel standing next to him pointing and pogging

and yeah he's SO useful in big battles like that!! he's half a legend, half a ghost story, given most ppl think he died in the Purge but here he is, enacting justice on the empire!! tho he does struggle on quieter missions (which happen a lot more at first bc gotta hide from the empire) that you cant just blaze into. its a difficult shift to go from clone wars general skywalker to rebel general skywalker

yeah 501st same as canon ): but OHHH MY GOD yes thats SUCH A PERFECT IDEA, Anakin going with Rex and Ahsoka to the site and mourning them all (and probably going into another depression spiral lbr)

youre so right lollll obvs leia loves the one up she has in an argument of "well my dad's general skywalker, beat that" but as u say she absolutely wants to live up to that (+ is a very independent/stubborn person and would like Leia Skywalker, not just "General Skywalker's daughter" lol)

AND YEAH ABSOLUTELY Padmé and Anakin's roles in this au are both so interesting (is that egotistical to say) bc they're these upside down versions of their clone wars roles, both very loud people forced to quieten down and be Discreet about how they go abt helping ppl. Padmé is really struggling hiding so much (luke's force sensitivity, her rebel activities, all relations to anakin) and trying to protect Luke while helping the Rebellion WHILE trying not to seem suspicious. a lot on her plate -- only made worse by palpatine keeping a close-ish eye on her, and she can't tell why (is it bc of luke? the rebellion? anakin? or is it just his old favouritism or patriotism being VERY inconvenient??)

on the inquisitors, obvs you don't see a lot of them on coruscant -- but padmé's SO scared abt ppl (MAINLY SIDIOUS WHO, YA KNOW, TRIED TO TURN LUKE'S DAD SITH) finding out abt him and she hates that she's making him repress this part of himself but what choice does she have???

Ough his fes is so good. The symbolism as well like music is really important to Toya and it’s a huge part of his life but he's keeping this specific part behind a curtain for now. The fact it’s in the part of his fragment sekai that isn’t as derelict as the rest- it hurts.

It was really close between this and Torpe but ultimately I chose this one. It’s really bright and warm compared to Rui's dark and cold and Nene's in-between and I think that's why it sticks out to me.

ok so first up is producer recs!

Syudou- syudou is the producer who directly inspired the post i made about tuning (which is im assuming why u sent this ask lol)! the way he tunes vsynths for his songs tend to be very high-pitched as well as somewhat soft and quiet, which i absolutely adore. however, his unique tuning can be pretty offputting for some people (cough cough the insane amount of hate ive seen for jackpot sad girl & usseewa voca versions cough cough). if youre looking for good, unique tuning id defo say check out his stuff if u havent! specific recs are cute na kanojo and jackpot sad girl

Guchiry- guchiry is one of my all-time favourite producers, and has some of the most unique tuning for vocaloids ive heard. guchiry also usually goes for a high-pitched sound, but it's in a very different way. honestly, the way he tunes is kind of hard for me to describe?? idk... its definitely the type of vocals that a human could never replicate (this is proven by the fact that there's almost no human covers of guchiry songs LMAO). plus the way he tunes works extremely well with the intense, fast-paced instrumentals he usually goes for. honestly you'll just have to take my word for it and check out his stuff. specific recs are vanish and orthodoxia

Ayase- ayase's miku is one of my favourites ever!!!! he, like the two producers above, opts for a tuning in a higher range. there is also a soft quality to his mikus that i think is really nice. the thing that makes his tuning really unique is the fact that he leans into the robotic-ness of vocaloid! this style of vocals works so unbelievably well with the chill, electronic style of instrumental he often uses, and makes for some incredible stuff that human vocals just cant capture. specific recs are cinema and ghost city tokyo

sasakure.uk- if you thought that ayase embraced the robotic sound that vocaloids can produce, sasakure has practically buried himself in it! i think that sasakure's work is most notable to me for the fact that (in my opinion) his instrumentals stick out more than the vocals? and not in a bad way! not at all! its just that the way he tunes his vsynths is in such a fashion that they feel like part of the instrumentals. like, instead of the music feeling like it's a vessel for the vocals, the vocals instead blend into the instrumentals in a really unique way i havent heard with many other producers? the way sasakure tunes and uses vocaloids is something so distinct, and something that can really only be done through the medium of vocal synthesizers. specific recs are amara and future eve

Hiiragi Kirai- hiiragi takes flower, a vocaloid i find already sounds pretty unique, and goes fucking crazyinsane with her!! his flower tuning is so unbelievably cool and unique, ive srsly never heard someone use her in a way like he does. he makes her voice sound intense, harsh and growly which is seriously soooo sick :D flower's harsh vocals paired with the often intense instrumentals creates a vibe that's almost impossible to replicate with human vocals (the only covers i can think of that have managed to be on par with hiiragi's originals is ado's bocca della verita & loveka). specific recs are bottom and autophagy

Maretu- 😁😁😁 do i really have to say anything here. maretu perfectly utilizes the robotic sound that miku can produce, and makes her sound incredible with the chiptune & rock instrumentals he uses!! the vibes in maretu's original songs are so fucking good and ive (afaik) yet to find a cover that's on par with his og stuff. listen, you're asking for vocaloid recs on the maretu blog, this is a given. specific recs are koukatsu and white happy

im not sure exactly how much this counts as unique tuning, but im putting it here anyways... the way miku and meiko are tuned here are different to how ive often heard them sound before, with a bit of roughness to their voices that you can only get via a vocaloid

really cool high-pitched tuning that expertly blends miku's & kafu's vocals! the vocals also work perfectly with the spooky vibes the rest of the song has! if you like this you'd probably also like unfriendly hater, which doesnt stand out quite as much to me as being unique but is still equally as good

i fucking love this song sm... miku's vocals are so robotic (i feel like ive used that word a lot...) which works suuuuper well with the instrumental and, with my incredibly limited knowledge of kagepro, works really well for ene's character!

the sheer insanity of this song can really only work with vocals provided by a vocaloid. listen to it and try and tell me that a human's vocals could improve on this... you cant (also pls listen to the song bc its really good)

p.h is an INCREDIBLE song, and it has such wild vocals. somehow seventhlinks manages to make flower sound more unique than she usually does, and it creates such a cool vibe for the whole song!

you can always ask about it. this ask is from a week ago. i am sorry. i promise you that ive been honestly like digesting the game ending and juggling how to answer this at the same time. ill try to be very short and brief with my Thoughts

I'll still put this under a readmore after a bit because it might still be long and embarrassing LMFAOOOO

The short of it is that it starts rocky when the adventure starts because Salice has like. a potent dislike for wizards (i'll hear you say: vera you said her best friend is a wizard and her grandma too. i say: i'll get to it) and so immediately she would find him Insufferable. This is mostly a one-sided thing though bc I imagine him going "I'm just here man. I didn't do anything to You"

For how otherwise like harmless Gale is, she would find his lackluster humility and tendency to slip into condescending tangents very annoying, and in my head she'd always have to make quips or remarks about it. As it is one-sided on her part, I imagine he still acts amicable and tries not to turn discussions into arguments, even if her unwarranted hostility can get grating

This is also because salice in general is a distant, aloof individual who's acting as the nice guy out of pure circumstance. She's been on the road for more than 4 years after a bounty was put on her head in baldur's gate; she hardly trusts, and retains most of her past prejudices against those who are naturally gifted in magic, or are in general more attuned to it. [a/n: the details of this are in her biography] Since I imagine Gale being insightful enough to notice this, but not wanting to pry about it, kind of gives the hint that there's not just a simple-minded superficial dislike going on but something a little more complex. But again, he likes privacy and she does too. So it's just there in the air.

That said a turning point I imagine in their relationship with one another kind of is the weave scene in act 1? The best way I can put it is that yes, Salice is kind of mean to him oftentimes, but a lot of times also seems interested in the things he talks about (this imagine being a bit after they start adventuring so shes letting sliiightly loose on her distancing with the others), so he's like hey, well, I mean, why not show a magic trick. It can help with our bond since we need to stick together :-)

And the scene happens and it leaves Salice like. Befuddled. Because. Y'know. the whole Weave Rejection Problem she's had since forever. For an instant, one random night, during an awful unwanted adventure, She Did It. She channeled the Weave. The thing she Sold her Soul Over, you know, to be able to Do That. At the end of the scene she's got a thousand yard stare and he's like "????? are you alright" and she's just like Dead Inside, just a little bit

AGAIN HARD TO PARSE MY THOUGHTS BUT LIKE the short of it is that she's like. Okay. i need to get my feelings in check. but EVIDENTLY if someone's gonna have answers it's gonna be THIS GUY. So she decides to be nicer if not to try and get answers. Getting HELP is another thing, but if he's such an expert and having him around made that channeling happen then he knows something maybe???? Hopefully???? This is all before he reveals that he's got a nuke in his chest.

When that happens it all clicks together for her - a little too close to her own kind of story even if obviously she didn't get the attention of a goddess, but is rather seeking the attention of an entity she isn't even sure exists. But she did also catch the attention of a powerful archdevil, so it's similar, she figures. It's funny because I imagine her going "man, that sucks. I totally get it, dude. Happened to me too. Sorry about it. We'll find a solution I'm sure" and he goes "What do you mean 'happened to me too'? Do you care to elaborate" "Absolutely not ."

it's all kind of a Tell or Not To Tell game because Salice has Psychological Issues even if shes a chad and is generally very secretive of her past and such.

I have more thoughts to spare but i think I rambled enough. However I will add that I think in my head the reason why the romance makes so much sense is because fundamentally they are very similar in what motivates each of them but also drastically different in how they approach their objectives.

Gale made his gravest mistakes due to his ambition, even if the intentions were as good-natured as can be. He wanted to prove himself not only loyal but equal to Mystra, which was risky in of itself, but well definitely human of him to do. He is regretful of it in the present days of the story and he can be either encouraged to stray away from or follow that ambition when the crown of karsus enters the stage. He has a sense of recklessness when it comes to his own-selfbeing if the (initially) very self-sacrificial dialogues mean anything. And They Do Salice also committed the stupidest deed out of a desperate pursuit of power and ambition. The fact she could not succeed her grandma's lineage was driving her mad enough to sell herself to an archdevil, so long she would have powers, and so long he'd honor an utterly delusional desire of hers. How I imagine it, if she were a companion you can stray her from staying a warlock, or just let her be and suffer the consequences of not giving Mephistopheles back the Crown (since I am 100% he would somehow want it back). Salice's recklessness comes from the fact that she's not afraid of death. Maybe a little too not afraid of it.

How do you make your mlp screenshot edits? They always look so good!

This is gonna be really long so I'm putting it under a readmore 😭😭 Apologies in advanced, I hope it doesn't sound convoluted skhjdg

I use Procreate and my own brushes, but you can use whatever program and brushes you feel fit :3 I used to use Ibis Paint for my screenshot edits before I concocted my perfect edit brushes on Procreate khdjg

SO! I start by picking a screenshot that I like that has two ponies in the shot. One of which is my FO of choice, and a mare-shaped pony beside him (I like using a mare-shape for my sonas as opposed to a stallion shape 😭 Anyone can pick whatever body shape they'd like, though, you can always take pony shapes that you like out of other screenshots and edit them to your liking to trace over, too! @/cosmiccherri has a uniquely shaped ponysona so they use screenshots taken from other episodes for theirs and they always look so good!!)

If I can, I find a couple more screenshots that show more background! So I can cut the background out and paste it to cover the other pony. It's okay if it doesn't completely cover, though, I go over it with brush lines and additional textures so it's as seamless as I can get it. I'm kind of a stickler for having my edits and art be perfect, so I always look for ways to use brushes to my advantage especially with trickier backgrounds.

Personally I erase as much of the other pony as I can, so I can reuse the piece bc I know I never stick with one ponysona for longer than a month 😭 /lh It's just handy for me if I ever wanna see each ponysona I go through with my FOs :3

After I get the pony erased as much as I can, I lower the opacity on the background layer so the previous pony is showing a little bit so I can trace over their body, sketch in my mane + tail style, and tweak his expression to one that I like. I also make my ponysona chubbier than the standard mare shape bc I'm not a Skinny Minnie 😭 Once I've got my sketch out, I turn the opacity back up on my background layer and lower the opacity on my sketch layer. I trace a line on the FO pony to check my line thickness, edit it to my liking, and then start lining my sketch with black. You can use whatever color you'd like, I just use black bc it's the easiest for me to see my lines- I like to separate parts on different layers, especially the eyes and hair. MLP eyes are always lined in black! Once the pony is lined, I go through and start erasing lines that end in open spaces, like the chin, shoulders and flank, ear, mouth, etc. so they end in tapers. I also erase a little bit on overlapping lines in the mane and tail, I think it makes them look sharper and more streamlined :3

Once my lineart is completely finished, I color in the pony however I'd like. MLP:FIM always has at least one leg shaded, if not two, and they're always the legs furthest from the viewer. That's one of my favorite parts to shade, and I always use a grey-ish purple

Around this area, but you can use whatever you feel is good :3! I turn the shading layer into a multiply layer, and the opacity is also turned down to 25%

After coloring in my ponysona, I color in the lineart! MLP's colored lineart is one of my favorite things in the show, and I LOVE picking the colors to use. They're always slightly darker than your pony's coat colors, and manes tend to use one or two colors for lineart despite some manes having lots of colors. Rainbow Dash's mane even uses the blue in her colors as the lineart color! It's super interesting tbh, I love the colored lineart- Don't forget to shade the lining on the shaded parts, too! Same grey-purple shading color you used on the legs, turned down to 25% on a multiply layer

That should be everything! I like to make a copy of the original screenshot, merge the background layer onto the copy, copy that so I can merge my ponysona onto it, and at the very end there should be three images left, as well as the sketch layer :3 You don't have to copy everything I do to a T, that's all just my process of editing screenshots 😭

If you had to assign a theme song to each of your characters, what songs would they be and why? We think about this a lot with our OCs, and we believe personally that Ace's theme might be Crazy = Genius by P!ATD. But that might just be bcuz we fangoy over that band!

hihi! oc questions make me very happy and are always welcome <3 just for fair warning, I’m a little bad at assigning songs to characters but. I’ll try! I don’t really have a definitive single theme song(tm) for some characters so these are tentatively unofficial haha, but just for fun!

sol- mulled over different ones but the one that kept sticking out is ‘Hope for the Future’ by Bastille. very in line with their character themes and the kind of person they are.

lyra- this one was the hardest surprisingly. but ‘Passing Through’ by Kaden MacKay feels right. both the calm vibe of the song feels fitting as well as themes of making the most of their time and being with the people they love. kinda taking time to slow down in the moment of life being fast.

niko- think I’ve mentioned this one before, but I like ‘Get Used To It’ by Ricky Montgomery a lot for him. a lot of her backstory’s about trying to make things better than they were, both for themself and for others. so this one feels right.

june- the only one that wasn’t hard at all. ‘The Villain I Appear To Be’ by Connor Spiotto/Molly Pease. the most junecore song to ever song

hazel- ‘Synesthesia’ by Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness for them. song gives me autumnal vibes for a reason I can’t describe, and the calm feel and the lyrics fit them and how much they love their partner Robyn and would do anything for them. <3

regan- haven’t shown them off here yet (soon), but to those who do know them :> ‘The Ruse & The Caper’ by Coyote Theory. they’re very close with their partner Ozu- they have a really strong connection with each other, and love each other for who they are. this song is very rezu to me

as for ace- it is hard for me to assign One song to them bc they are such a complex chara along with the fact that I struggle at assigning songs anyways so I’ll try for a few (mostly based on lyrics). so starting with the top picks:

1. The World Ends With You

i think a lot of people have a similar feeling about this game. you play as neku, recently deceased kid with no memories no friends and a whole lot of attitude and your main goal is to survive the reaper's game for 7 days to get a chance at living again. he trusts no one and believes in nothing but himself and being an extremely depressed middle schooler, i related to him but watching the way he changes over time and learns to open himself up. its kind of an eye-opener and i've seen the same though echoed through a lot of different people like me who wanted to really give up but this game does take you by the hand and oush you to try again. make connections. live and whileit may be a struggle its alright because you always have the option to keep going. also the ost is AMAZING and the art style is very unique and the story and characters captivate you so well. idk where id be without this game honestly. preferably if you do want to play its best to play the og on a ds (can be done w/ a hacked one) but if not its on switch and theres a sequel! which is ok but its not as great as original twewy

2. Tales of the Abyss

ToA (or tota as most ppl tag it but i stick with toa to match the tags for other tales games. which are also good esp vesperia i just wont add it to this list bc its already gonna be a long one). what stood out to me a lot with this game besides the main cast who i love to bits, is its theme on religion actually. when i first played toa i was still in the church and the main theme of religion in toa can be boiled down to devotion is all fine and good, but don't let it rule your life. the fate that is written out for you doesn't rule you, you make your own choices. even if they seem futile, you still don't have to take your fate sitting down you can kick and scream and fight as much as you want towards another path if that truly is what you desire. and that resonated with me heavily. this one's a little more crunchy looking from its age but i still really like the graphics (and i played on 3ds lol) and the environments in tales games are all so stellar its such a good game. and oh my GOD the party interactions. tales games usually do really good at having main casts that are "6-8 people who have no business being stuck together but they are anyways" and i think the part for this one will always be my favorite. also last little bit but theres so much about identity in toa as well and the way the main character, luke, is written with his own struggles about feeling like his own person has gripped me to this day. ive heard this one is hard to find a physical copy of but like. again shoot me a message if u have a hacked 3ds

3. AI: The Somnium Files

i've been here since day ONE (not exactly but theres a youtube page for one of the characters they were using to drop some info before the game released and i was watching while that was still going so. close enough). i am obsessed with aitsf. my icon is even the main character (edited a bit and w/ stickers). this game doesn't have combat like the first to and is strictly a visual novel and i adore the way it explores the central theme of love, especially familial love and its many shapes and forms and how sometimes even through blood it just doesnt. exist. but that doesnt mean you dont deserve love. someone will be there to give it to you and if not you take it however you can. this is much more apparent in the left half of the game which to this day has made the mizuki route my favorite. this one's eveywhere (playstation, steam, switch) and goes on sale frequently on steam for like $7. this one also has a sequel which is pretty good but again i think the original is much better

4. Heaven Will Be Mine

honestly with how many people i see daily gushing over poetry and writing im surprised more dont play hwbm. its a space mecha visual novel set in the aftermath of a war where earth sent children to go fight an existential threat which may not have even existed and now all of those kids are adults who have grown up without the shackles of society on the earth which js funny enough, finally calling for them to come back. the writing is beautiful and fun to pick apart and if you're a fan of prose i definitely think you should give this one a try. double of you're lgbt in any way this game is good for its writing about queerness especially if you're trans. please play hwbm. this one's on steam and doesnt have a sequel game but the devs, worst girl games, also made We Know The Devil which i like less than hwbm but its still pretty good! that ones got gay religious trauma

Witch's Heart

listen i know theres some strange bias some ppl have gainst rpgmaker pixel games but like. 1) odd but ok 2) witch's heart is such a beatiful story i need you to throw whatever biases you may have abt pixel games RIGHT NOW. my header text comes from this game. it means everything to me. do you have a wish you would kill for? does your wish mean more to you than another's? how much will you let your selfishness control you. for a game that looks so silly it made me cry a lot. this one's free on vgperson's translated game list and theres still MORE BEING MADE. a rhythm game this time! it's got a cute little story mode but it is just a dubstep rhythm bullet hell i like playing. did you know i was a dubstep fan in middle school well now you do and im sad skrillex is mid now. its on steam and switch. not a good pick however if you are sensitive to flashing lights or have epilepsy im sorry. i believe there are safe modes but i havent tested them myself to see how well they work

Paranormasight

paranormasight is a horror visual novel illustrated by gen kobayashi who, if you can tell from the linework on the sprites and in the portraits and what have you, illustrated for twewy. i'll be real i was ready to screan and cry 30 minutes in but its not actually that scary im just a wimp. this one could be seen in a similar vein with witch's heart in the idea of: what would you do to fulfill your greatest wish. how many people would you kill. because you will be killing. on steam and switch.

Bustafellows

for being an otome bustafellows rly got me. while being an otome it is still plenty silly but heavy with fun characters. also i think this is the first time ive really liked an otome mc they tend to be very waify and kinda annoyingly written tbh but teuta is a VERY fun character and not at all a stand in for a self insert. or at least she isnt good at being a self insert which is fine to me because i love a main character that has their own personality. a guy dies like 10 minutes in. this ones on steam

Mamiya

i seem to like a lot of visual novel games with time loops and dead main characters and this is another one. very dark but i love it to bits. also this one requires a warning list i haven't seen anywhere but i made one myself here. its on steam

Ok so a while back I RP’d (ish. More like discussed the scenario we never played it out. Or the scenarios? Idk) something super fucked up but wildly entertaining. I’m on mobile so I’m gonna try to put this under a readmore bc cw for fatal and abuse. But the set up is yonah get caught by an evil circus and uhhhhh not great things happen to him. (Think if it like… the circus in appa’s lost days but worse. Way worse. My RP partner had not yet seen that episode we were on season 1 of atla and I Somehow managed to not spoil it though this?)

So basically the circus buys monsters that monster hunters trap to use as sideshows/in the circus ring. Yonah is a very interesting magic monster because in the context of the world this is in, yonah just appeared there! It’s not the mystic woods world. And giants are thought to be *extinct. So yonah is a very unique monster to have. His presence sells a lot of tickets.

They have him in the circus ring and show off how strong he is. Have a person stick their head in his jaws like with a Lion to show they’ve tamed him. Try to set him on fire to show off that this magical beast is fire proof.

But every so often they stage an “accident”. See this circus is known for danger. To the patrons. This is known and people still attend.

What they do is before some shows they will starve yonah to the point of savagery/ferality . I’m talking no food for a few days. And on the day of the show manage to get a random audience member to heckle yonah. Causing yonah to snap and devour them. Sometimes eating them whole sometimes not, but killing them. This is peak entertainment, the crowd loves this. Because it’s a fucked up little world. (Why isn’t the circus shut down? Who knows. The greater politics and law and order in that world aren’t well defined.)

After eating yonah will regain his sense of personhood. Though it’s usually a few hours later. And he’s extremely distraught every time. There’s some janitorial staff (idk what the term would be??? They clean up the circus and the beats cages and the beasts! Sometimes feed the beasts) They who are more kind to him and the other poor beasties the circus has and they try to comfort him but while cuddles would be nice he is not in the mood for holding smalls after devouring one in a rabid frenzy.

At some point yonah acts out and is punished by being tricked into devouring one of the nice janitors. He had a hard time after that.

That’s all. Well. Not really. The rest is a little more whimsical? Ish.

Eventually he break free (oh and with Sophia who the circus eventually captures as well and uses threats against her to keep yonah in line, lucky for them because yonah had been starting to contrive means to escape. They said that if he or Sophia show inclinations if rebellion they’d feed another of the nice caretakers to him). He breaks free with other beasts and they wander the woods before finding an underground city where a population of giants took refuge long ago due to conflicts with humans. There’s some drama because I the king of the dwarves learns that yonah ate his son (safely). A crown prince who the dwarven king adopted (the prince is a Naga. Yonah often ate the Naga as part of the show but it was always safe. A very popular show to watch the giant slurp the snake monster like a big noodle). And as they neared the entrance to the city it was winter outside so yonah’s solution to the reptilian prince not dying in the cold was also noms XD

its not too short at all. its a cod campaign. mwii was bloated with missions that went on way too fucking long. i would maybe say theres like 2 missions that could go on longer (NOT by much). gaz and ghost's missions come to mind

i dont get when people say the boys didnt have an emotional reaction to soap's death i think theyre pretty clearly affected by it. price blames himself, gaz feels the loss of a friend, ghost is like. hes just closed off about death hes dealt with it a lot? in og price screams and cries bc he 1 rly thought he could save soap 2 soap was all he had? everyone else had already died. he didnt have gaz. he didnt have roach or ghost. hed been stuck in a gulag. like he just.. had more going on? but newsoaps death is still Going to stick with them all. its impactful its just the end of the campaign so. we have to wait for the next game to see how theyre all handling it

I think i am going to put this under a readmore bc i am going to ramble so so much

I definitely followed conventions of the 3 visual novel dr games, and studied the trials and motives to make my own motives and trials. I found as many consistencies as I could and tried to stick to them for my fangan, just to give myself a framework to work off of and I thought it would be fun :^))

For the motives: I have all of them planned out pretty well except chapter 4 and 5, which need some ironing out but i have some ideas.

Chapter 1: The motive is the idea that one among them has already killed someone, but since the person wasn't a student, there will be no trial. What actually happened was that one of the people working for the mastermind was killed by the mastermind, because that person was planning to betray the mastermind. The mastermind then staged her body in a spot where the students could find it, and claimed that one of the students had killed her in secret. But because none of the students actually killed her, they aren't able to figure out who among them did kill her, and so they just keep throwing accusations and tensions rise, leading to a killing on false suspicions.

Chapter 2: This motive is kinda specific to Shin, my Ultimate Ghost Hunter, but because the mastermind has all information on the students, she can do something like this. Basically, there's a horror movie that follows a serial killer butcher, but throughout the movie there are subliminals that activate a curse/pact Shin has with a demon that he made in the past. The deal is, he has to kill someone or else he will die horribly from the curse, and he has a time limit. So this leads to him killing someone, and then staging it like the movie to frame my ultimate Butcher character. (this follows the "revealing a serial killer" convention (even tho it's fake))

Chapter 3: The motive this time is a time limit, but its so that if they don't kill anyone, they get to go free, but they will all have their talents completely erased from their brains, and will have to live as talentless people. Junichi, who can't stand the thought of losing his talent and livelihood, ends up killing two people to keep it.

Chapter 4: for this one I have a sort of end goal in mind, where the Real goal was to create a complex murder and prolong the trial as long as possible so that one of the people working for the mastermind can work behind her back while she's distracted to slip information to the students. There needs to be something more to push for a murder, and i'm still working on that

Chapter 5: Like v3's chapter 5, the motive this time is to create an unsolvable murder in order to break the killing game. I also think that Kazuya may be getting too much info at this point, and the mastermind may cook up a motive to put a target on his head specifically, like how Junko did to Kyoko in chapter 5. I am still workshopping this one as well.

OK for puzzles, i am still working on my trial puzzles, and honestly not super confident in those, BUT i am kinda proud of some of the hints for the bigger mystery. I think the ch 3 motive is one of them, the indirect hint being that if Monokuma has the power to just. take away someone's talent, that might say something about the talents and their legitimacy. (foreshadowing for the fact that their talents are fake like in v3)

To add to that, Kazuya (my lesbian komaeda clone) starts the killing game not knowing his talent, but later finds a letter of acceptance to Hope's Peak in his room that wasn't there before, and it claims that he is the Ultimate Lucky Student. He will tell this to Emiko (main character) and say that the fact that it was clearly intentionally placed there might mean something; basically, this is information that the mastermind *wants* him to know, and he is aware of that.

In the end, it will be revealed that Kazuya was originally supposed to be the Ultimate Character Designer, and that is foreshadowed by his drawing gloves >:^) (that was an idea from a friend hehe <3)

HONESTLY i was sad to make any of em die, but i think the one that's gonna hurt me the most to write is Rokurou's death, not only because I am very attached to his character but because he's a killer and is gonna get executed </3. I wanted his death to mirror Gonta's in a way, and dear god that trial Hurted me.

OK SO REBELLION IS MY MAIN BBY RN i love itttt

I’ve mentioned earlier taht it’s gone by a few names at this point like Sonic Boom: Underground (sb:u) and Trouble Keeps you Running Faster (tkyrf) but Sonic Rebellious is prolly gonna be the finalized name 💙💙💙

ANYWAYS it’s a continuation of both Sonic Underground and Sonic Boom, where the events of Sonic Boom take place 10 years after Underground.

A LITTLE is changed abt underground, but for the most part, unless it comes up in the current day of the story (like the backstory between manic and rouge) its probably the same. The backtory for the story, though, is that shortly after the events of underground, the triplets adopted tails as their little brother, before Manic goot killed defending them (he's not actually dead, just captured, but they don't know that.) The grief tore Sonic and Sonia apart, Sonic wanting to run away from the war to keep Tails safe, while Sonia felt bound by a sense of duty. They ended up parting on bad terms, both feeling hurt at the other's descision (Sonia felt it was selfish for Sonic to run, while Sonic felt that Sonia didn't care enough about them to come with).

Meanwhile, Knuckles, guided by a spirit of his people (Tikal) ends up shattering the Master Emerald in a ritual designed to nullify the Chaos Emeralds' power until it can be reformed, in order to keep any from falling into Robotnik's hands again. Unfortunately, the ritual was originally designed so each member of the tribe would have a piece of their mind linked to a shard so they could recover their piece when the time came to rebuild the Master Emerald. However, since Knuckles is the last, his sole mind took on the responsibility of the entire tribe, shattering across the planet along with the shards. As long as he kept one piece, he could retain his mind and memories, but he didn't trust himself to keep it safe in his state, and so he entrusted it to Sonia, losing his memories in the process.

Timeskip to ten years later, Sonic and Tails have made their way and settled into Bygone Island, as has Knuckles, and they, along with Amy, a resident of the island, teamed up to continuously take down Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik, the son of Dr. Julian Robotnik. (They're two seperate characters bc I didn't want to deal with the logistics of making them the same and I felt it would be a neat dynamic. Eggman also mentions having a dad in the show, and it's implied he doesn't have a good relationship with him, so I felt it would work to make them father and son. I'm gonna mention them a lot so from here on: Eggman is the one from Sonic Boom, and Robotnik is the one from Underground).

They've become a pretty close-knit group, with on-again-off-again member Sticks, when suddenly Sonia shows up out of the blue and kinda throws a wrench in everything simply by being there. Meanwhile, Shadow, who works for and believes himself to be created by Robotnik, has grown fed up with his treatment of Manic, who he has secretly bonded with over the years, and breaks him out of his prison. The events of the finale of Boom, where Shadow tries to destroy the multiverse by trappng the two alternate versions of Eggman in his cave hideout, was a test. If they failed, then the multiverse would be destroyed, which Shadow saw as a potentially favorable outcome, but the more likely (as well as his preffered) outcome was that they succeed, and Shadow would be able to trust them to take care of Manic, as he knew he wouldn't be able to for long, since he works for Robotnik (Shadow doesn't know they're siblings at this point)

So Shadow breaks Manic out of prison and has him stay in his cave hideout for a bit while he recovers, and then Shadow goes back to get his medallion. However, Robotnik catches him as he gets it, and so he has to get back to the village as fast as he can. Unfortunately, when Sonic sees Shadow with Manic's medallion (WHo he still presumes is dead), he assumes the worst and flips out and they get in a huge fight. Shadow ends up trying to get back to Manic, only for Sonic and SOnia to chase him down, resulting in their reunion.

Eventually, though, Robotnik catches up, and the village is destroyed. The team does their best to evacuate the villagers, but its only when Eggman is convinced to help do they manage to escape with minimal casualties. (Its for complicated reasons; he says it's because he can't rule over the village if there's no villagers to rule over, but in actuality he's grown attached to Sonic and his friends, and also wants to make a stand against his father and step out of his control).

As they leave the island to return to Robotropolis, Sonia returns the Master Emerald shard Knuckles gave her, restoring a piece of his memory.

ANYWAY thats the beginning of the story and theres a LOT more after that but I haven't decided on an order for everything past that yet RIP

Cursed Planet / Ruined World

OKAY so these two are techincally the same paracosm with two different casts of characters, one being all fully original characters, the other being mostly canon characters from different media and a handful of fancharacters. HOWEVER, since there's no real plot, I'm gonna talk about the setting, because that's the actual important thing in these two.

The City exists in a pocket dimension, created by an entity that feeds off of the despair and suffering of the living. While she can change and control the entire City on a whim, and create literally anything in her domain, she can't feed off of what she creates, and so she pulls beings from other dimensions to be transported to The City.

The City itself is constantly changing, and only exists as an actual city in its current iteration. It is warped, eldritch, and twists itself to the perception of its inhabitants. The more people fear a place, the more twisted and horrifying it becomes, to match its perception.

Fears increase at night, and so the City becomes more dangerous. That shadow out of the corner of your eye is always exactly what you fear it to be.

While the City itself is entirely under the entity's control, the people she summons to inhabit it aren't, and so she cannot just cause them to suffer. She must use the city to bring them to despair, but the human spirit is indomitable, and hope always has the chance to win out.

(Here's where the main difference in the two lays, the original characters one is mostly cynical assholes with one or two rays of sunshine like Alice Read and Sveta, and their groups tend to struggle a lot more with keeping morale up. Meanwhile, the fandom one has Sonic the g-ddamn Hedgehog, who will literally kill g-d to bring hope to his friends, so, like, the entity's kinds fucked with him around)

Don't Split the Party

this is the one ive had for like, the longst, and its just me putting every character ive ever liked in a dnd settign. It's so big at this point that it doesn't really have one plot, it's an entire world where every person has their own thing going on. The main ones I can think of are Sonic Wachowski, an Elven Ranger going off to save his adopted parents, only to find out that his fox familiar is a shapeshifting Artificer boy, and the misadventures of the Red Guild, particularly Scout as he runs around with Justice and Alyx, a Tiefling Bard and a Fairy Artificer. There's also my parame Rua, the Half-Elf Ranger, and their adventures with their adopted sisters, and their boyfriend Barney Calhoun, a Human Paladin.

There's a LOT going on in that one, so I can't really go over all of it here. A lot of it also follows storylines of other paracosms, just switched to a DnD setting.

Forces: Reloaded

Honestly shoud be called Sonic: Reloaded at this point, as it's gone from a simple Sonic Forces rewrite to an entire paracosm spanning from 06 to Frontiers, and even further, as I even included an adapted version of the Metarex Sage from Sonic X, which is currently the final point in the timeline, though I'm sure that'll change soon enough.

A lot of the changes are about adding or swapping characters around, such as the plotline of Sonic 06. I've written this one up already, so I'll paste it here:

OKAY so Stella replaces Elise as the vessel for Iblis, her father purposefully using them to house the deity, all while Elise stealthily watched. So Elise KNOWS that Stella holds Iblis, and so does everything in her power to keep it contained.

When Stella gets kidnapped by Eggman, Elise wants to go after him to keep Iblis from being unleashed, but can’t leave her station as monarch, and so she sends one of her guards, not knowing that a. Sonic is already on it and b. Stella is having a blast making Eggman miserable and breaking out on their own.

So Elise's role is pulled back to be a lot more of an authority figure, she's the royalty while Stella (the oc) is the 'damseled' one. One major difference this brings is there's no romance between Elise and Sonic, transferring over instead to Stella and Dusk (the guard Elise sends to rescue Stella). I haven't played 06 in a long while, so all this may be subject to change. I just wanted Stella (my self-insert) to be introduced in Sonic 06, as it was my first Sonic game and was what got me into the series in the first place.

Skipping ahead to Forces, as it was the original main focus of the paracosm and as such is the most in-depth, the story starts out the same, with Sonic being very abruptly defeated by Infinite. Except, unlike the game, where he just summons illusions of Shadow, Metal Sonic, Chaos 0 and Zavok before kicking him around for a bit, he... oh i dunno...

CONJURES PERFECT CHAOS, BEFORE CREATING A WHIRLPOOL OF WATER IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SQUARE TO DROWN HIM???

Obviously he doesn't kill Sonic, just incapacitates him, but, like, Sonic's got a whole thing about water, why not take advantage of that?

Tails takes just a bit too long trying to figure out Infinite's deal before he creates the whirlpool, and Tails tosses his datapad aside and rushes in to try and save Sonic, only for Infinite to take him down almost instantly.

The story proceeds as normal for a bit after that, with Eggman taking over, Tails going AWOL, and a resistance being formed by Knuckles. Rather than being stationed in Green Hill Zone, however, the headquarters is on Angel Island, meaning only the people Knuckles trusts enough to be near the Master Emerald is allowed in the headquarters. They have other rebel camps stationed all over South Island, but they're small, and they can quickly be overpowered by Eggman's forces.

Meanwhile, Starburst and Sun's parents get killed in the initial attack on Seaside Hill, and they get seperated in the chaos. Starburst finds her older brother buried under a pile of rubble, but Infinite gets to her before she can reach him, taunting her and letting her escape with her life if she leaves her brother to die and flees in terror.

Later, Starburst gets rescued by Amy, and decides to join the resistance.

Meanwhile, Tails has gone a bit off the deep end, and seeks out an old model of Metal Sonic that was destroyed in a battle years prior, and brings it back to his makeshift lab to rebuild and reprogram it. He affixes the fake Chaos Emerald he made back in SA2 to him, using it as a power source, and sets out to train him to be essentially Sonic's replacement. (This guy later becomes Shard.)

Sun actually survived being crushed by a building, and gets fished out by two girls, Flare the Bear and Echo the Fox. They end up getting along like a house on fire, and they agree to help Sun search for his missing sister.

The rebellion discovers that Sonic is alive, and after they launch a rescue mission, Starburst is the one that ends up finding him (This plays out pretty much exactly like the game).

They come back to the base below Angel Island, and take Sonic to the infirmary, only to discover that there's barely any room left. Amy decides that they need to liberate an actual hospital, and fast. Much to Sonic's disappontment, she sends Shadow and Starburst on the mission, as Sonic is still too injured. While Shadow is initially unimpressed and uninterested in working with Starburst, during the mission he warms up to her a little.

Meanwhile, the Metal Sonic that was repaired by Tails has been feeling uncomfortable, both with Tails' insistance at him being essentially a Sonic replacement, and Tails' obvious fear and discomfort towards him. He ends up running away, and though he still defends and protects the people he comes across, they aren't exactly appreciative. He still looks like Metal SOnic, and people are terrified of him, until he encounters one girl.

Aryl's a mechanic and an outcast, with a pet Buzz Bomber that she reprogrammed herself, and she offers to help repair his battle damage. He agrees, and they end up having a mutually beneficial friendship, where he protects her as she scavenges for parts and she repairs any damage he gets as he fights off other badniks.

A lot from this point is similar to the game, with some exceptions, like Shard being the one to fight the Metal Sonic illusion with Sonic on the bridge rather than the rookie, and the Null Space scene being a LOT longer and more impactful on the story, but im starting to get a headache and cant type for much longer so have some art instead

This is gonna be long, so BUCKLE UP, BUTTERCUP.

[mouth]: are their lips always drawn thin or are they plump and kissable, what’s their “default expression”/resting face, do they have all their own teeth, do they use their teeth to smile, etc.

One of the great things about Val is, regardless of if they're presenting male or female or anywhere in between, a lot of their facial features remain the same, just a more masculine or feminine presentation.

They always have full lips, which is one of the things that does not change. And they take good care of them, too: lip scrubs are not an uncommon thing to find in their toiletry kit, along with balm and other products to make sure they're always properly taken care of and ready to be kissed at any moment.

When using Valentina and presenting more feminine, there is almost always purple lipstick on her lips, because she knows she looks good in it. They're well-versed in using only makeup to present more femme if they need to, as well.

The default expression on their face (usually when they know someone is watching them) is a mischievous smirk, like they're up to no good. But if they're unaware if anyone is watching them, their resting face is more thoughtful, as though considering the world around them and their place in it.

While they do have all their own teeth, they don't usually use them to smile; they got used to keeping their true feelings close to the chest very early on, so if you get a full, genuine smile from Val, you know you're doing something right.

[skin]: obviously colour, but also if they’re inclined to run hot or cold, do they have any blemishes or unusual markings, are they inclined to blush, are they freckled, do they tan, what does their skin feel like, etc.

One of the first things someone might notice about Robyn are the two beauty marks she has on her face: under her right eye and on the left side of her chin. They're not large, but they definitely stand out.

While she doesn't run hot, Robyn is definitely a little warmer than average, which is great in the winter, but not so much in the summer. There's a reason she wears a layer that has absolutely no sleeves, after all.

She takes care of her skin as much as she has the time to do; usually that only amounts to washing and moisturizing, but when she has more time, she'll do a full skincare routine. This is partly because she spends a lot of time outside, sometimes in the elements, and it's important to take care of yourself. Which means that her skin is very soft, underneath all those layers.

While her skin is not exactly pale, it is obvious when she flushes because it's not that common.

She has a scar on her stomach from a time she was stabbed in an attempted mugging that didn't heal as well as it could have.

[chest]: (potentially nsfw) what size are their breasts if they have them, nipple colour and shape and size, do they have visible muscle definition/abs, etc.

I am not putting this part under a readmore because breasts are not inherently sexual, damn it, and I have some asks about man-boobs in my inbox and I'm not putting them under a readmore either.

I legitimately attempted to do math for this, and after research and looking at many many screencaps of Glynda, she is a 34E, which makes shopping fun. There's a reason she has a specific style and sticks to it.

As for shape, her breasts are pretty even, with the right one a touch bigger than the other, but that's mostly only noticeable if you're really studying them or handling them. She only really notices when she's looking in a mirror; it doesn't make much of a difference for clothes, thankfully.

Her nipples are pretty small, with slightly bigger areola, and both nipples and areola are a very light blush pink.

Her abs are toned and there's just a hint of muscle definition. She keeps herself in good, fighting shape.

[eyes]: not just the colour, but the shape, the length of their eyelashes, whether they’re alert or usually half-closed, large or small, sunken into the face, ringed by bags, etc.

The picrews that I used to generate Aster didn't have hazel as an option so I ended up going with brown most of the time, but his eyes change colour depending on the light and sometimes with his emotions. Sometimes they're more brown, absolutely, but there are times they appear almost green. Most of the time, they're a mix of brown and green, with gold flecks if they catch the light just right.

His eyes are actually shaped almost like a leopard's, almost round, very open and wide. His eyelashes aren't overly long, but they definitely take mascara well, if/when he wears it. They also do shine at night if you turn a light on him, like a leopard's would.

For the most part, he doesn't appear to have bags under his eyes, but if he does, he's very good at concealing that fact.

He's usually pretty alert, with his eyes fairly open, looking around to see if he can do anything to help, regardless of where he is.

If eyes are windows into the soul, then Aster is an open book.

For the freebie, we're going back to Val/entina!

OKAY, so. When using "Val" and presenting as more traditionally 'masculine,' they have a penis and scrotum. Length is between 7 and 8 inches, since they were able to choose, and matches their regular skin tone. Girth is fairly average, head isn't too bulbous. Overall, a very nice-looking package.

When using "Valentina" and presenting as more traditionally feminine, they have vulva, vagina, and clitoris. Because they were able to design it, they were able to ensure that it is uniform, with the colour a bit pinker than their regular skintone.

Regardless of presentation, they keep any hair fairly well trimmed, though there is definitely a happy trail when presenting more masculine physically.

And they've got a rockin' booty, no matter what, with firm, round cheeks that look good in whatever they choose to wear.

these early wandering scenes are really nice. lighthearted and peaceful, and probably quite enjoyable for a wwx whose last memories were of grief and pain and exhaustion and stress and persecution

reminds me - wwx was crying last episode when jc came to kill him. he might have smiled a bit, but he seemed so resigned to the fact that jc hated him but when jc told him to go and die he started crying. it was so fucking sad
