Jolly-O Wipplesnit

This is the first digital rendition of my WIR: Modified (Next Gen AU) child, Jolly-O.

Jolly-O Wipplesnit is the only child of Swizzle Malarkey and Sticky Wipplesnit. Jolly-O's theme is based on hard candies like Jolly Ranchers, and he likes the cosplay aesthetic.

Additional details on Jolly-O:

He is the 3rd youngest of the Sugar Rush Next Gen children.

He is best friends with Cadbury Treat, and he gets along with Felix the III.

He is enemies with Sourpat and Cerecita Chamoy-Bing-Bing. Between the two though, Sourpat hates him much more; Cere just sees him as a nuisance, but she sees just about everyone this way.

He is a massive weeabo! [He likes to make believe that he has a stand called "Shut Up and Drive"] He also thinks he's the main character.

Besides watching anime, he also enjoys dance choreography.

Shakelynn Maltswirl (Sticky Wipplesnit)

The playful friend that always has a few jokes up her sleeve, Shakelynn also has a love of adventuring embedded into her code. She loves to explore every corner of the Candy Kingdom, and is the go-to racer for finding alternate paths and hidden routes the game had to offer. Her earliest memory after Sugar Rush was plugged in was her friendship with Swizzle. Like her fellow Recolors, she always felt at odds with her theme and her identity at that time. After the reset, she took to making milkshakes for her fellow racers in flavors that matched their respective themes. She also had a serious talk with Swizzle after learning he had willingly participated in bullying Vanellope prior to the reset. Her favorite flavor is birthday cake.

My take on this character was inspired by a popular headcanon back in 2013-2014, which talked about how the 4 palette swap racers were the products of the game being hacked. Prior to it, they had identities just as unique as their fellow racers. These designs and profile below are my own idea on what these former identities were and what they return to after Sugar Rush gets reset.

In this AU, the game was plugged in 2010 instead of 1997, and had been active for just a day before Turbo took over. When he tampered with the game’s code, an unintended side effect caused the girls to take on the appearances of the racers they were hanging out with at the time, turning them into their palette swaps.

Stella Wipple is based on Sticky Wipplesnit from Wreck It Ralph. She is a 24 year old human, table busser, and uses she/her pronouns. She has no powers. Stella is portrayed by Leah Lewis and she is open.

CATCHING MY DEATH, AND I COULDN’T BE SURE

Stella had a good childhood. She had loving parents, two mothers that taught her how to be warmhearted and kind while never turning down a thing she asked for. She didn’t have any trouble making friends or good grades, she was lucky enough to fall into pure young love. Life was about as perfect as life could be... until right before graduation. There was no reason for why Stella ended up in Evermore, none that she could find. But the how didn’t matter when the why took her away from everything she knew. She didn’t recognize a soul in town. Away from her family, her friends, her high school sweetheart, it took awhile to get back on her feet, to accept this was just the way things were now. But when she did, she did so with a smile. If anything, this place was just another opportunity, and that was a wonderful thing for a girl whose mind was constantly changing. Was teal her favorite color, or was it pink? Did she want to be a racer, did she want to be a scientist? Cat person, dog person? She didn’t know. After getting her diploma and moving onto the university, she changed her major at least once a year, switched up her jobs as soon as she started to get comfortable. She would even have phases where she would quit racing, the one hobby she’d carried with her since she was a kid... just to pull her car out of the garage again a few months later. It wasn’t that she didn’t find joy in anything, her problem was the opposite --- she found joy in everything. Life was short and with so much to offer, Stella intended to put every second to use. She knew firsthand how quickly things could change. From now on, she would be prepared to roll with them.

I HAD A FEELING SO PECULIAR

❀ Sibella Dracule: Like Sibella, she awoke in town near the end of her senior year. With it happening around the same time, she found a quick friend in the other young woman, someone who shared her confusion and the longing of missing parents. ❀ Peri Winsdor: Her favorite employee at her favorite ice cream parlor (of the month, anyway), Peri has the best suggestions when Stella isn’t sure what to order. Something to keep her everchanging sweet tooth happy. ❀ Sterling Malarkey: They’ve had a... thing going for awhile now. Stella really isn’t sure what it is or how he feels; she just knows Swizz likes to flirt, and she can’t deny she likes the attention.

What’s in a Name? - A Wreck-It Ralph Quic-Fic

(Rated T for language and suggestive elements. Also I am not making this up, these are the actual names of the Palette Swaps from Sugar Rush.)

“You know what the worst part about being a palette swap is?” Nougatsia Brumblestain asked her fellow Sugar Rush recolors.

The four racers sat in their usual booth in the far corner of Burger Time. It was Sunday night after Litwak’s has closed for the evening, and the whole game was packed with characters from all over the arcade looking to relax after a long weekend.

“The fact that we almost never win spots on the random roster race?” Sticky Wipplesnit asked.

“The fact that even when we do, the players almost never pick us?” Torvald Batterbutter asked.

“The fact that our entire existence is to just pad out race rosters, making us barely better than generic NPC’s?” Citrusella Flugpucker asked.

“Well... I mean yeah, all of that too. But I’m taking about our names.” Nougatsia threw her arms up in exasperation. “I’m named after nougat for crying out loud! Who actually likes nougat? Geriatrics and serial killers, that’s who!”

“That’s nothing, my name sounds like some kind of freaky sex thing,” Sticky said with a roll of her eyes. She puffed out her chest and spoke with a stereotypical ‘dude bro’ infliction. “Yo dude check it out, I went home with that chick from Tyler’s party last night. We got back to my place and I gave her the ol’ Sticky Wipplesnit, if you know what I mean.”

Torvald snorted. “At least you two have names that are related to candy and sweets. Like ‘Batterbutter’ is fine, that’s baking stuff, whatever. But what the hell even is ‘Torvald’?”

Citrusella chuckled. A dry, bitter, joyless chuckle. “You’re actually complaining about names? You three don’t know how good you’ve got it.”

“What do you mean?” Nougatsia asked.

Before Citrusella could answer their waiter approached, holding a tray piled high with plates of burgers and fries.

“Here’s your order, ladies,” he said grabbing one of the plates and looking at the order slip on the tray. “Okay we have a double-quarter pounder with cheese and extra pickles for a... Citrusella Plugfucker?”

Citrusella’s eye twitched. She slammed her palms down on the table, making everyone jump. “It’s Flugpucker, goddammit!”
