Whumpee is trying to do their job, and everything is very chaotic for the team right now. As Leader, they are constantly working, and right now, the stress is... A LOT.

One day, probably due to stress, Whumpee has a horrific headache, plus some chills, maybe even a fever or cough if you're so inclined. Normally, it wouldn't be a big deal, but given their lack of sleep, it's excruciating.

They try to power through, but at some point, they just curl up on the floor between tasks and squeeze their eyes shut. Caretaker finds them like this and quickly gets them a blanket, some medicine, and a soda to give them some relief.

i have had a shitty 48 hours and all i want is a nap

#i was handed a new project at work unexpectedly and had to start it completely on my own #and that was so stressful and then i came home to a sick kitty #and got basically zero sleep last night from trying to take care of her and worrying about her #and so i'm exhausted and then at work had to finish the project and help with another #and had to get missy a vet appointment and get her to that today too #and now i have to figure out how to get her to use a new litter box so i can get a urine sample from her to take back to the vet tomorrow #and i still haven't gotten all the christmas presents i need to get #so some of my friends just won't get gifts until late cause there's no way they'll be here on time now #and i'm on my period and i have a headache and i need to do laundry because kitty pooped on my sheets #and threw up on her towels #and i'm really tired which means i am starting to get physical symptoms (thanks for always doing that body 🙃 it's so helpful) #so my lunch is making me super nauseous which fucking sucks #i'm just done

genuine question, how often do regular people get headaches? like,, I know I get them an irregular amount but. it’s so weird to think about. I get usually.. too many very very very light tension headaches (basically 0 pain, just the “band around head” feeling), 1-4 fairly light tension headaches, and 0-3 light to normal tension headaches daily (note: it’s entirely possible that my pain measurement has been thrown off by constant headaches). varies by how stressed we are though + switches n shit. on fronstuck days, I get that 0-pain headache (or higher) 24/7, while on rapid switching days or splitting days, there’s usually a proper tension headache around. #girlboss

#I feel lucky we don’t get migraines though #I’ve had one (1) headache that hurt way more than usual #and that fucking sucked #but it wasn't a migraine according to symptoms + the internet #so like. very glad I don't get migraines lmao #anyway yeah I'm fairly sure we didn't get headaches this regularly until like 2018-2020 #which uh. checks out #sometimes I wonder if I just have like a concussion or something. but ehh? all symptoms line up more w dissociation + stress
