Do you have any examples of where Charles’ aggressive driving style shows? Like maybe not even this season perhaps…(this is my first season in f1 and only since August !) but I just saw a post;;;;; I’m taking notes,,,, researching……..
Hello, my darling anon, and welcome to the F1 fandom! We're so happy to have you. ❤️
Oh, there are so many wonderful examples of this and I wish I had more time to compile a proper selection for you, but I'm in a bit of a rush and I don’t want to leave you hanging. So I've compiled a few of my favorite examples for you below.
Charles being unhinged at the 2021 Styrian Grand Prix.
A collection of Charles' best overtakes in the 2019 season.
The 2022 overtake that was named overtake of the season.
Charles' battle with Checo and Lewis at Silverstone in 2022.
Some of his unforgettable battles with Max in 2022.
And my personal favorites:
Lestappen's epic battle in Bahrain 2022.
Lestappen's epic battle in Austria 2022.
These are just a handful of examples of Charles' aggressive driving style, but there are so, so many more out there. Honestly, you could probably find hours and hours of videos on YouTube if you should feel so inclined.

November F1c Prompts Day 30
A/N: finally! It's only taken an extra,,,4 months, or so. Oops. I love this little sunshine verse. I'm so happy that I could share it with everyone who's enjoyed it 💕
30. Nociception: Pain
July 2020, Styrian Grand Prix, post-FP1
“He’s alright.” Michael tries, looking to Blake for support.
The other man clears his throat. “Yeah but maybe don’t...the real wound is pride, y’know?”
Your fingernails have dug into the skin of your arms, crescent moons only just not deep enough to scratch, and you raise an eyebrow at the pair. “I’m not gonna bitch at him for crashing, guys. Come on. I just...I wanna know he’s alright with my own eyes.”
He doesn’t make a habit of it. Which is good. You’re not sure you could take it if this feeling were a regular occurrence.
“I’m alright.” He sounds sheepish, from over your shoulder.
You whip around to look at him as soon as you hear his voice. “Daniel...”
“No I am, I promise.” He’s limping a bit but tucks you under his arm and kisses the top of your head. “Just totally lost the back end, we fucked the setup, I think. I hit my knee and there’s a wicked bruise, but I’m good. They let me out and said I can just take painkillers.”
You wrap your arms around him and squeeze. “Glad you’re okay.” You breathe.
/
2021
“How are you doing, love?” He peels the covers from over your head, endlessly gentle. “Feeling any better?”
You chance cracking your eyes open and realise he drew the blackout blinds over before pulling the covers off your head. “Head still hurts., a bit.” It takes your brain a second to catch up. “Wait, when did you…”
He grins as he sinks down onto the bed, careful not to jostle you. “You were dead to the world when I got back, I thought I’d let you rest.”
You try moving and find it doesn’t make you want to throw up anymore, then drag yourself closer to rest your head on his chest, burrowing into his hoodie. “Missed you.”
“Lil old me?” He drawls, definitely trying to coax a laugh out of you (it works). “I should be so lucky.”
“It’s true.” You say, aiming for demure. He’s already ruining it with barely contained giggles. “Days and days I sat here, wondering when my handsome cowboy would return. So much I fell ill, the most terrible migraine.” You take the hand from his chest and put it palm up on your own forehead, feigning a swoon.
He’s laughing outright now, catches your hand and settles you mostly on top of him. “Well, nothin’ to worry about now darlin’. I’m here.” He hums against your mouth when you lean down to kiss him.
“m’hungry.”
“I made dinner.”
You kiss him again, day long migraine fog leaving. “You’re my favourite.”
/
Belgian Grand Prix (post race), 2022
“There you...” You stop in your tracks, realise he’s alone and the lights are off, just the outline of his back (still in fireproofs) visible in the light from the door you’ve opened. “Daniel? Are you..?”
You let yourself in and feel your way across the small room to him, heart clenching when you realise his shoulder is shaking under your hand. “Danny...” You start, then you feel more than see him shake his head.
“I just...” His voice sounds raw and you wonder for a second if he and Michael fought, but you would have heard, this place is so small and on top of each other. “I wanted it to be like a big fuck you, right. But it was just...” He sniffs as you settle next to him, arms snaking around his waist. “Kind of pathetic. I tried so fucking hard, like...”
“I know, my love, I know you did.” You make your voice as soft as you can, like it can settle around him like a blanket, take away the pain in his voice. The doorhandle rattles and you only turn your head towards the door as the light starts to appear when it opens. “No.”
It shuts again instantly, and he tries to laugh. “Scary voice.”
You burrow as close to him as you can. “Everyone who matters knows how hard you’ve tried, okay? I know it doesn’t make all the...noise, any quieter. But...”
“It doesn’t matter.” He says quietly. “It is what it is.”
“Of course it matters, Daniel.” You reiterate quietly. “If you’re gonna be throwing around cliches maybe start with ‘you can lead a horse to water but you can’t make it drink’. Y’know, if the horse is a team, and leading it is giving useful feedback, and the water is making a good car.”
He laughs wetly, one hand playing with the silver bracelet that matches his favourite Tiffany’s necklace. You stopped differentiating jewellery years ago, it all sits in the same box on the dressing table at home now. “Message received loud and clear.”
You push your head against his, unbothered by his sweatiness. “It’s okay that it hurts, too. It always does, when you-“
“Try your best but you don’t succeed?”
“Did you just...” You can almost feel him trying not to laugh. “Did you just quote Coldplay at me?”
“Who could say.”
“Daniel, I was trying to have a supportive partner moment and you’ve just quoted Coldplay lyrics at me.”
The laughter spills over and he brings his arms around you, pressing his face into your neck. “You’re right, that’s unforgivable.”
-
2025
“You’re so pretty.” He says right near your ear, hand curling around your waist.
You’ve managed to avoid FIA end of season functions for the most part, because Daniel doesn’t particularly enjoy them. But Christian had insisted, this year. “I feel like I’m too old for this and it shows.” You say back around a smile for the cameras swirling around you all.
“Nah,” he puts his mouth close to your ear and you can feel how cheeky his smile is (dread the day that Elio or Allegra work out how to master the same cheeky grin), “Big MILF vibes, I rate it.”
Max, of all people, overhears and they set each other off laughing, even as you roll your eyes and let Geri pull you in for a photo with her.
It’s boring, mostly, even if you’re grateful for any occasion which gets Daniel in a suit (particularly the green Gucci one, still love it as much as you had in the first place). The food is nice and the wine is good, although you’re not particularly looking forward to pumping at the end of the night just to throw it away. It’s a rare night without the kids, Daniel’s parents happy for the excuse to travel and babysit (even if they’re about to have a full summer of all of you).
It’s nice actually, after a couple of years of not being at every race – and preoccupied with small children when you were – to catch up with people, drink and dance and be merry. You’re sitting down with a water though, when Daniel approaches.
He grins at you and rests his hands on your shoulders. “All good, bub?”
You let your heel dangle off your foot, stretching it out with a groan. “I’m out of practice, my feet are killing me.”
Daniel laughs, digging his fingers into your shoulder muscles. “I think we have more than fulfilled our obligations and we can go, Actually. If you wanted to head off.” He offers his hands and uses them to pull you to your aching feet. “There’s a gigantic bath tub and a very nice bottle of wine at the hotel for us, I think.” He says as he kisses your cheek.
“Well, now you definitely have my interest.”
It takes another half an hour to do the rounds saying goodbye (you might manage to slip out easily enough, but Daniel is a capital P Presence in a room), so by the time you’re at the top of the stairs outside your feet are throbbing again. You might groan a bit.
“Here.” His suit jacket lands on your shoulders and Daniel stands in front of you expectantly. “Piggy back.”
You can’t help but laugh. “No, you’ll trip and we’ll fall.”
“That’s the most insulting thing anyone’s ever said to me.” He huffs. “C’mon. I got you.”
“If our children end up orphans I’m going to make your afterlife hell.” You threaten.
He laughs loudly as you slip off your shoes and jump onto his back. Daniel hooks his arms under your thighs and you can feel the smugness radiating off his face. “Ye of little faith.”
“You’ve made it one step.”
To his credit he makes it down all of the steps safely, and you’re both laughing by the bottom, sore feet forgotten at the prospect of the rest of the night to yourselves.

▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄ ▀▄▀▄▀
In celebration of Lando's 100th race this weekend, I think it's only appropriate to recap the amazing years he's had in his f1 career.
▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄ ▀▄▀▄▀
2019
In February 2019, The British-Belgian driver was contracted to drive for Mclaren in the 2019 Formula One World Championship, meeting his first teammate of his career Carlos Sainz Jr, later becoming a beloved duo in Formula One.
Scoring his first Formula One points when he finished sixth at the Bahrain Grand Prix. However, at the Belgian Grand Prix the rookie missed out on his best career finish yet due to a power failure on the final lap.
In his rookie season he finished with three consecutive point finishes, finishing the season eleventh in the drivers' championship, with 49 points.
This year he also re signed with Mclaren to stay with them until 2022 due to such a successful rookie year.
Tumblr media
2020
In 2020, the first race of the season was the Austrian Grand Prix where Norris qualified in fourth place, but was later elevated to third place due to a grid penalty for Hamilton, making this the highest grid position of his career yet and the highest grid position for Mclaren since the 2016 Austrian Grand Prix. Norris set the fastest lap of the race, and due to the 5 second penalty for Hamilton infront, Lando Norris had achieved the first podium finish ever of his career, making him the third youngest driver to finish on the podium in Formula One History.
Norris got six consecutive point finishes in the season between the British and Tuscan Grand Prix. He finished fourth at the Bahrain Grand Prix and fifth at the closing race of the season, Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
Alongside his teammate Carlos Sainz, they brought Mclaren to third place in the constructors' championship. Ending the 2020 season in ninth in the drivers' championship with 97 points, just 8 points behind Sainz.
Tumblr media
2021
Norris met his new teammate for the 2021 season, Daniel Ricciardio, as Carlos Sainz left Mclaren to join Ferrari.
At the season-opening, he finished the Bahrain Grand Prix in fourth place. At the following race of the season, the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, Lando was set for second before being overtook by Hamilton with just three laps remaining, however he still achieved his second Formula One podium finish as he passed the chequered flag in third place. Lando also equalled his highest-grid position at the Styrian Grand Prix, starting third as Bottas recieved a Grid Penalty.
The following weekend at the Austrian Grand Prix, he started in second place after setting a time of just 0.048 seconds behind Verstappen. He finished the race to claim his third podium of the season, coming third.
At the British Grand Prix, Norris set the fastest time in the Friday Qualifying, also finishing fifth in the sprint qualifying and fourth in the Grand Prix, meaning he moved up to third place in the drivers' championship.
At the Italian Grand Prix, Lando finished fourth in the sprint qualifying, soon becoming third as Bottas recieved an engine penalty. The driver managed to finish the race second, behind his teammate Daniel Ricciardio, achieving his fourth podium of the 2021 season and securing a one-two finish for Mclaren for the first time since the 2010 Canadian Grand Prix.
He finished the 2021 season in sixth in the Drivers' Championship, and this impressive year of racing led to Lando signing with Mclaren once again, staying with the team until 2025.
Tumblr media
2022
For Norris the 2022 season brought a new era of Formula One with it, a chance to further develop himself and his Formula One career.
Lando took third in the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, which ended up being his and Mclaren's only podium finish of the season. At the Monaco Grand Prix Norris came sixth and secured the fastest lap while doing so.
Despite only securing one podium, Lando still finished the 2022 season seventh in the Drivers' Championship, with 122 points, Mclaren finishing fifth place in the Constructors' Championship.
Tumblr media
2023
This year for the 2023 season, Lando has stayed with Mclaren where he has met yet another new teammate Oscar Piastri, a rookie in Formula One. For the first few races of the season the Mclaren team had not been performing as well as other teams, finishing seventeenth at Bahrain. In Saudi Arabia Lando was eliminated in Q1 while qualifying.
However at the Australian Grand Prix, Norris finished sixth and Piastri finished eighth, scoring their first points of the season. The British Grand Prix meant that Lando had got a new best start with a second place qualification. In this race Lando Norris even held the lead for the opening laps after having such a successful start, further managing to hold off Lewis Hamilton for the race and taking a well-deserved second place after such an incredible drive. This finish meant that Lando had become the first Mclaren driver to finish on the podium at the Silverstone Track since Lewis Hamilton in 2010.
In Hungary, Lando started third and finished second, scoring a back-to-back podium for the first time in his career.
And in Singapore fans saw the bond of Carlando return to their screens as Carlos Sainz assisted him in holding off the Mercedes drivers until the end of the race, allowing Lando to gain yet another podium finish for this season and doing it alongside his close former teammate Carlos. His result at the Japanese Grand Prix, taking his fourth podium of the year, meant he took the record of the driver with the most career points without a win.
The success of Lando Norris makes it clear to see that his win is just within his grasp, a truly incredible driver with the full potential to become a World Champion in the future. Congratulations to Lando as he races in his 100th race this weekend, what an amazing couple of years this driver has had, and although he hasn't had the most smooth-sailing couple of years, the potential of Lando Norris should not and can not be ignored.

Collection of one-shots that offer us a glimpse into the life Daniel and reader have built together ever since they were teenagers, all taking place in the same universe. Another wet weekend forecast in Austria with rain likeliest during sprint race | 2023 Austrian Grand Prix weather
Formula 1 drivers are likely to do some wet weather racing at the Red Bull Ring this weekend – though the Austrian Grand Prix on Sunday is expected to be dry. The inclusion of a sprint race means there are qualifying sessions on Friday and Saturday, and so the grid for both may also be influenced by the weather. Any rubber that is on the track surface once the F1 paddock arrives will likely be washed off by the time they actually get on track for first practice on Friday afternoon as it is wet and windy at the Red Bull Ring today. Friday morning will be sunny, but only the support series will be on track then for their practice sessions. That does mean rubber will be laid down on the racing line, particularly as there are 30 cars in the Formula 3 field, but F1 drivers may not be able to benefit as clouds are set to converge over the circuit in the afternoon and stay there throughout, with an increasing chance of rain. Qualifying for the grand prix will take place towards the end of the day, putting it at greater risk of rain. Even if the wet weather does not appear then the track temperature will be low due to the cloud cover. The F1 cars will take to the track at midday and again at the end of the day on Saturday, and there is a very high chance of rain throughout according to the official forecast. The predicted air temperature is 19C for the morning’s sprint race qualifying session, falling to 18C for the sprint race, but the 80%-plus chance of rainfall is likely to be the greater concern. That is cooler than the conditions F1 raced in last year in Austria, which was already one of the coolest races of the season. It ranked only 18th out of the 22 rounds for ambient temperature, and had the 15th highest track temperature. Sunday’s forecast is far warmer, however, with afternoon sunshine bringing a high of 25C air temperature before the grand prix takes place. Some clouds will remain in the area later in the day, leaving F1 vulnerable to the type of brief showers that cause anxiety on the pit wall as strategists debate whether or not to pit for intermediates tyres before the rain stops and the track dries up again. NB. The track also held the Styrian Grand Prix in 2020 and 2021. What to expect from the Austrian Grand Prix?
The Austrian Grand Prix is one of the most scenic and challenging races on the calendar. The Red Bull Ring is a short but fast circuit, with only 10 corners and four long straights. The track is located in the Styrian Alps, which means it has a lot of elevation changes and unpredictable weather conditions.
The race is also a home event for Red Bull Racing, who have dominated the season so far with eight wins out of eight races. Max Verstappen leads the drivers’ championship by a comfortable margin over his teammate Sergio Perez, who has won two races this year. The Dutch star has also won the Austrian Grand Prix three times before, in 2018, 2019 and 2022.
However, Red Bull will not have an easy ride in Austria. Their rivals Mercedes, Aston Martin, Ferrari and Alpine will be eager to challenge them and end their winning streak. Mercedes have won four times in Austria since 2014, with Lewis Hamilton taking three victories and Valtteri Bottas one. Aston Martin have shown strong pace in recent races, with Sebastian Vettel finishing second in Baku and fourth in Monaco. Ferrari have also improved their performance this year, with Charles Leclerc taking two pole positions and Carlos Sainz scoring two podiums5. Alpine have also scored points in every race so far, with Fernando Alonso and Esteban Ocon showing consistent form.
The Austrian Grand Prix will also feature the second Sprint weekend of the season, which means that qualifying will take place on Friday instead of Saturday, and a short sprint race will determine the grid for Sunday’s main race. This adds an extra element of excitement and unpredictability to the weekend.
So don’t miss out on this amazing opportunity to watch the Austrian Grand Prix live with F1 TV Pro! Subscribe now and enjoy the best Formula 1 coverage available!
