Girls’ night in! Ever had a sweet wine from Orvieto from the Sassicaia family? Yeah, no. Well, they’re out there. They just rarely make it here to the US, which is a shame. Yellow flowers, fresh and dried apricot, honeysuckle, honey, cooked apples, preserved lemon, and cooked pear on the nose. Lovely acidity and balance on the palate with apricot, pear, superripe asian pear, honey, and chestnut. Cheers!

Other Half Brewing Company / Great Notion Brewing Company ; Super Ripe; Double Indian Pale Ale #SupportLocalBreweries #DrinkLocal This was my first beer from Other Half Brewing Co. This beer is originally from  @greatnotion  brewed out of @otherhalfnyc . An amazing beer. Other half along with the @theveilbrewing created the concept of #FreakyFriday where breweries are exchanging their recipes and creating a new version of Classic craf beers. This amped up version of their classic Ripe IPA is hopped with Citra and throughout and aggressively double dry hopped with Citra and Vic Secret. Lookswise, with a huge thick white head, this was a very hazy light yellow / orange. Smell was warm orange, sweet, and tropical fruits. Most passion fruits, grapefruit, orange and mango. Slightly sweet and frankly stunning Taste was great and follow-through from the nose, what first hits me is how smooth and creamy it is. Same tropical and citrus notes get through, finishing with a good little bitter hint. Medium / long finish, incredibly easy to drink and not overly sweet, medium carbonation. Delivers unbelievably creamy and smooth, tropical notes on the NEIPA. This beer was terrific.
