A scrappy girl who wants to become a noble Hero in the vein of knights or samurai of old (or at least the idealized version).

Hero Data -Quirk: Armory (兵器庫): Ryouko has the ability to produce metal weapons from her body, anything from a knife to a tonfa. These weapons cannot detach from her body but she can manipulate their movement and shape. -Hero Name: Valkyrie -Hero Costume: Ryouko wears a breastplate, plates of metal for her the lengths of her arms and legs, and a helmet. Her major joints are also covered. She also has a skirt of chain mail that goes halfway down her thighs as part of her Hero costume. There are gaps in the armor to accommodate the creation of weapons. Underneath the armor was a solid black jumpsuit and brown boots. —Power: 4 —Speed: 3 —Technique: 4 —Intelligence: 3 —Cooperativeness: 3

Backstory -Her father, Tachi, is a professional ballroom dancer and his Quirk makes his bones harder than steel. Her mother, Ayame, is a fashion designer and her Quirk lets her create metal objects from the metals within her own body. -When Ryouko manifested her Quirk, she knew she wanted to be a Hero in the future. -Got into ballroom dancing at 4 because she wanted to be as elegant as her father and wear the fancy clothes that her mother designed. -Started out paired with other girls, dancing the part of the leading dancer which usually goes to males. From learning from her father and practicing frequently, she got good fast. -When she was 9, she finally got a male partner (Yousuke) and started dancing as the follower in a dance couple. The two of them were soon top contenders in youth tournaments. -Over time, however, things got tense between them. Yousuke thought she was intentionally trying to overpower him. Ryouko thought he was holding back and riding her coattails. -They decided to split and prove they were better without each other. It didn’t work out. Ryouko was too aggressive for her new partner. Yousuke’s new partner didn’t have the same energy as Ryouko. They both lost their next competition and mutually went back to each other. -They fixed their mistakes. Ryouko lessened her energy and Yousuke increased his own so they would be equal. They went back to being top contenders and were better than before. -Age 12, Ryouko decided to put more focus on becoming a Hero and start learning how to fight. Yousuke was understanding and showed his support. -The other boys at the dance studio Ryouko went to mocked her. They said that a “delicate, girly girl” like her couldn’t become a Hero. Ryouko would’ve fought those boys had it not been for Tachi and Yousuke holding her back. -Ryouko trained as much as she could at home, practicing how to make a variety of weapons with her Quirk. -At U.A.’s Entrance Exam, she saved a girl from being attacked and cut her hair from a tangle of robot debris. Near the end of the test, the same girl saved her by pushing her away from falling building debris.

Personality -Ryouko wants to be a person who can act like a noble knight/samurai - calm, disciplined, respected, chivalrous, and generally heroic. But she can’t really pull it off. Like, at all. -Tough and aggressive. She’s confrontational and quick to get physical. Some of this is an act as she tries to come off as “strong” because she doesn’t want to bee seen as a "delicate girly-girl." -Even without her tough act, she’s remains pretty hot-blooded. Gutsy and determined, she’s the type to see things through to the end, even when it comes to something she dislikes. -Throws herself headfirst into situations, relying on her instincts rather than taking time to analyze and plan. -She’s got a short temper and very little chill. Falls for provocation pretty easily. Usually seen with an RBF. -Casual and a bit unruly. She’s got a foul mouth and unapologetically blunt when she speaks. -Has few qualms with lying. To her, it’s okay to lie sometimes if it leads to results that one wants. -Prefers to engage in combat solely because of the nature of her Quirk. Unfortunately, her combat abilities aren’t high and aggression does not equal combat prowess. -As coarse as she is on the outside, she’s defensive of her friends (especially Haruka and Okami). Wanting to live up to idealized images of samurai/knights inspires her to protect those she holds dear. -Since she’s not that good at being gentle, she knows it’s wiser for her to shut up in delicate situations. In her softer moments, giving her presence and physical affection is how she comforts her friends.

Trivia -Likes ballroom dancing and training. -Her closest friends are Haruka, Okami, Kyouhei, and Terumi. -Ryouko is considered the prettiest girl in class.
