And now for a little shameless self-promotion!!

@spectre-requisitions-exchange 2024 has officially ended and the authors have been revealed! Which means I can talk about all the stuff I wrote! (I may have gone a little overboard...)

In addition to my first assignment, I picked up a pinch hit. And then I was feeling so inspired I wrote another two treats! I have been on a writing bender and it feels good! Not gonna lie, I'm pretty proud of myself. 😌

So my fics this year were:

T-rated (my first non-explicit fic!! 😅) FemShep/Ashley pairing. For @biotickaidan

Set in ME3, Ash has a crisis of fate after her near-death experience and talks things through with Shepard. A romance is rekindled.

People have been SO NICE about this fic?? I have never had so many comments before, it's honestly blowing my mind. Y'all are so sweet. 🥹

E-rated Jack/Kasumi (t4t!!) for @krahka

Be gay, do crime! Set pre-ME2, Jack and Kasumi accidentally end up committing the same crime. Hijinks ensue™️ and things get a little sexy.

This was ridiculously fun to write and very challenging. I watched a ton of heist movies to prepare for this one! 😂

E-rated MShep/James Vega for @ginbiscuit

Set between ME2 and 3, while James is guarding Shep in lock up. Shep is bored and entertains himself by being an incorrigible flirt. James tries to behave. You can guess how well that goes.

I think this is actually my favourite fic I have ever written?? I really think it's quite good. I fell in love with those two idiots while they fell in love with each other. Ethan Shepard may just have some future adventures, cause goddamnit HE IS CUTE. And I'm proud of my baseball metaphor (gods I hope someone notices 😭).

And finally! M-rated Tali & Jack for @beltsquid

Set during ME2. Tali is having a bad day. Jack is having a bad day and is making it everyone else's problem. Together they clean out the Normandy's bar and an unexpected friendship(?) develops.

I literally just finished this one a few hours ago. 😅My first gen fic! The prompt was fantastic and super inspiring. These two are so great together and I had so much fun exploring their relationship.

There were even more fantastic prompts I really wanted to write, but time is short! So I'll save them for next year. ;)

Now that I am finally done writing, I am going to delve into the rest of the fics available in the collection! There are SO MANY I'm excited to check out! So definitely look out for a recommendation list in the next few days. Or just go poke around the collection yourself!!

at first this was going to be a crossover with Blitzwing, Spinel, Pink-Pearl and Padaparacha...

but then I decided to add more to it, and added some other cartoon and video game characters into it.

also when playing Fallout 4, I really like to use the baseball bat to fight with, so that is why Nora from the Fallout 4 game, is holding a bat and seems to be keeping a eye out for danger...and yeah even if it isn’t canon, in this drawing, Husk has a little crush on Nora...

also Husk has a Cabbit on his head, well the hat he is wearing, and the Cabbit is Ryo-Ohki...

the little robot that is floating above Sundrop & Moondrop’s heads, is Pyoro from Vandread.

in The Cuphead Show, Cuphead & Mugman are twin brothers...

so if those two twins in the show, would that mean they are twin brothers in the canon of the game world of Cuphead...?

Raven from Teen Titans Go, is holding a sign with her magic...

that shows that Teen Titans Go should stop at Season 8...

I hope I can watch Villainous in it’s place someday, I mean even if it is just wishful thinking and hope it does happen one day...

Sallie May x Collin is in this Crossover drawing as well, if they ever got married in a Fanon Timeline, that would make Moxxie and Collin....brother-in-laws.

Lancer is wearing a crown and is holding on to Husk’s wing, it be cute if he ended up calling Husk “Cat-Dad”, like him adopting Husk as his third father figure.

of course when I was first working on this drawing, I had to at some point go to sleep, but then once I did wake back up I went back to working on this drawing.

the geth in this drawing is Legion, and Tali is a much better character once she accepts the geth, and maybe when she finally realizes that the quarians aren’t victims, since they started the mess first, and they were the ones who just assume that the geth would attack first, even if some quarians did try to help the geth and got k*lled for it....

but some of the quarians who fully blame the geth for being driven from their home world, are just being a bunch of shisno.

I wonder what a crossover ship between Caboose from Red Vs Blue and Legion from Mass Effect would be like...?

maybe it be more platonic, and Caboose would view Legion as his best friend, and if Tali ever talked bad about Legion, it could have Caboose tell her off by saying “now Miss Tali, I will have to ask you to stop being a Mean Lady to my best friend Legion....you are being very hurtful, nobody likes a shisno.”

I know there are some fans who 100% love Tali, I just don’t agree with her view on how the geth are the ones who are the “bad guys” when it was some of the quarians who started it in the first place.

I still think the Ralsei that appears in Chapter 2, and might of switched places with the real one when King was about to hurt Kris but was stop by Susie.

both Ralsei are different heights, the original has smaller horns and smaller feet than the one that is in the party in Chapter 2.

it’s my theory and fan headcanon that the Ralsei that went with Kris to the Card Kingdom, is not only trapped in the Card Kingdom but was replaced by the Other-Ralsei, who locked both the Door that takes Kris and their party out of Castle Town to Card Kingdom, and even locked it’s light world counterpart that is in the unused classroom, making sure Susie and Kris wont end up back in the Card Kingdom and find out the Ralsei they befriended is still trapped there.

don’t know if that theory will turn out to be true and fully canon, but if it turns out it isn’t, it can always be used in the fanon.

oh and the Other-Ralsei is using the Green Soul to keep the True-Ralsei trap in a green energy box.

now I’m going to go eat some pizza and watch some Transformers Animated, before I go back to checking out some more fan art on here.

"Its happened years ago Markus get over it." Karma and Talia were discussing something about the past and Mark was there and looked at them in surprise.

"You are like a clingy child....I can't get rid of you." She said as Hyunjin was whinning for her affection.

"You low life." She was just talking to Han about how messy he is.

"I keep you alive and you treat me like this?!" Jeongin was teasing Karma and she was just like, are you kidding me.

"Not gonna lie Lee Know, this was pretty Lee low of you." Minho teased Karma during the Survival show and Karma said that.

"Yes, they are lurkers." Karma was talking about how every members knows whats going on in the fandom.

"Pack it up Nam Joo Hyuck." Han was trying to act and Karma made that comment.

"DO I LOOK LIKE A PEICE OF BREAD TO YOU?!" Changbin tried to bit Karma saying she is bread and she yelled.

"What in the 5 minute crafts?" She was looking at a video that stays were showing her and was a weird video of a ramen getting turned into a table.

"Listen Hyunjin, did your parents have any kids after they had you?"

"No"

Hyunjin was annoying Karma and she said that to him.

"Look you scared her away Kai." She was having a coffee "date" with Kai when a fan wanted an autograph but was shy cause Kai looked at her funny.

"....JOHNNY GET YOUR MAN HE IS TRYING TO FUCK ME." Karma was have a collab with Ten in dance and he was flirting, and she called out for Johnny who dropped him off.

"LOOK I HAVE CHAN'S BOOB PICS STAYS!" She was on vlive and saw a comment that Chan hasn't posted so she shouted it out while looking for her gallery for Stay to screenshot, and Chan slammed the door and tackled her to the ground it was an interesting live to say the least.

"YOU CANT SAY ANYTHING, YOU GOT BRIBED BY TOAST TO AUDITION." Karma and Taeyong were on a show together and they were saying how they were casted or how they auditioned and Taeyong said well they way Karma auditioned she thought she was gonna be in a commercial.

"Please companies be out here like....hey kid....want some candy?" She was with Taeyong on a show.

"YES I AM ON THE WAY WITH YOUR DAMN BURRITO....oh...hi Stay 🥰." Chan was live called her like for a song recommendation but forgot he bugged her for a burrito, Stays love that moment because they know she is only soft for them 😌.

"The oldest one drives like he has nine lives....so no." Fans asked if her brothers are able to drive.

"Mother fucker, you were 4 feet when I last saw you." Karma met Mark after a year maybe and he had a growth spurt and thats the first thing she said to him, in front of Jeno and Jaemin and that is the first time they had met her.

"Top 10 anime betrayals." Chan chose felix to flick his head and felix flicked his head hard and Karma laughed at him say that.

Who were you named after? Technically no one? It’s not a family name, my parents just thought it was pretty. Though it was a couple years after a semi-famous wedding which probably influenced their mindset (it’s Diana, btw).

Last time you cried? Oh god probably yesterday. My dad died a month ago, it’s been a rough time. My mom also was around people who tested positive for COVID so I’m very stressed out at the thought of losing both parents in the same year.

Do you like your handwriting? For the most part. Fairly legible most of the time.

What is your favorite lunch meat? Turkey

Longest relationship? My current one. Even married the guy. Been together since 2011, married in 2016.

Do you still have your tonsils? Yes I do! Appendix too!

What is your favorite kind of cereal? Honestly Honey Nut Cheerios

Do you untie your shoes when you take them off? If they have laces, sometimes. Usually just in flip flops

Do you think you’re strong willed? Depends. I’m pretty beta/go with the flow at times but I have a strong stubborn streak (especially if I feel bullied like by aggressive sales people)

Favorite Ice Cream? Classic chocolate

What is the first thing you notice about a person? Probably eyes

Football or baseball? Neither. Used to play softball as a kid, but sports are dreadfully boring for me to watch.

Favorite donut? Cream-filled plain donut, though I’m starting to like bear claws

Last thing you ate? A poke bowl with salmon that I bought from my work’s food delivery service

Hair color? Medium brown though with these bleached blonde sections that used to be purple but rinsed out since Covid started

Where would you like to travel? My husband is dying to go back to Japan while I’d like to go back to the Caribbean for more scuba diving

Idolatry: the worship of an idol or cult image, being a physical image, such as a statue, or a person in place of God.

Envision the ruins of a church in the broken-down slums of Paris, 2162. A young girl, paper thin, stares up at the shattered remainders of a stained-glass Joan of Arc. A saint, a soldier, a martyr to her cause. See the young girl bend, break, until she has become her idol. Come closer, now, to hear the legend of The Shepard.

There was a dilapidated ruin of a church that lay amongst the tumble-down slums of Paris. The glistening lights of the golden city couldn’t quite penetrate into the darkness of those streets. Shepard, nameless, flitted through them like a wraith. Every night, she made her way to the church, and she curled in on herself between the disused pews.

The stained glass windows of the church had long since fallen prey to stray gun shots and vandals, but one remained partially intact. Joan of Arc, resplendent in her ruin, still stared up at the dust-covered rafters. Shepard’s makeshift bed had been hauled under that window – within easy reach of escape routes – and when she laid down to rest she would turn her heavy eyes up to the saint, and talk to the glass in a dry, rasping whisper.

She told Joan everything; the colour of the sky at dawn, the names she’d given the bats that lived in the ceiling, her hopes, her fears. Sometimes, when the streets were silent and the wind lay still, Shepard imagined she could hear Joan singing to her. There was a small plaque below the window telling the story of the saint, and Shepard could recite it from memory. It was how she taught herself to read.

Shepard’s parents had left her with a last name, but no first name. Voices scathing, the street rats of the Tenth Street Reds called her Joan. It fell on her like a benediction. It was something for her to aim for, a goal to aspire to. Shepard didn’t believe in God, but she believed in Joan of Arc with every fibre of her malnourished body. She admired her goodness, and her strength, and her bravery in the face of pain.

When she told the Reds she was going to enlist with the Alliance, Finch took a baseball bat to the window. Eyes red-rimmed, teeth bared, Shepard picked up the glass and slashed him across the face. The sharp edges bit down deep into her palm and she had to choke back her scream. Clutching the glass tight, ignoring the blood pouring down her hands, she ran, and ran, and ran. She never returned to the church.

When she was a child, Shepard hadn’t expected to live past her teens. But then she did survive, again and again. Apparently she had a knack for living. She threw herself in harm’s way to protect others and all she took away were a few scars and a medal.

Shepard saved the Rachni queen, and rescued every colonist on Zhu’s Hope. She looked Garrus in the eyes and told him that they were better than Saren, that if a job was worth doing it was worth doing right. She helped Tali complete her Pilgrimage, found Wrex’s family armour, helped Ash see beyond her own prejudices. She gave, and she gave, and asked for nothing in return.

Joan Shepard was in the business of self-denial. She kept her feelings buried away, obscured by a heavy layer of compassion and wry humour. Everyone was kept at arm’s reach. If asked, no one in the squad would be able to say anything specific about Shepard, aside from the fact that her driving and her dancing were tantamount to war crimes. No one knew about her past. No one knew about her present, really. They knew she was a model leader, a paragon of virtue, a symbol of kindness. That was all.

There was one small hiccup, one chink in her armour. When she walked out of Chora's Den and saw Finch's face, her vision flashed red. She could barely hear his request over the roaring in her ears, the stinging in her hands. She noticed that his face had scarred, and she felt some vindictive satisfaction in that. Some bruised and battered part of her soul demanded that she kill him, that she tear him apart like he'd done to her.

But she had brought Garrus along with her. Garrus, who wanted to operate outside of the law and break rules. Garrus, who respected her authority and followed in her footsteps. Garrus, whom she had convinced to spare Dr. Saleon. She couldn't let him see her fall apart. And so she choked down her rage, and asked Finch what he wanted. Her desires didn't matter anymore, only the example that she set.

With every day that passed, Shepard wondered if the universe wanted her dead, wanted her a martyr. It was a terrible burden that was demanded of her, an exacting standard she always struggled to reach. Her responsibilities hung heavy on her shoulders, gauging deep shadows under her eyes. She developed a habit of digging her nails into her palms when she was upset, aggravating the old scars. Dr. Chakwas wrapped her up without question, each and every time.

That jagged shard of glass, worn smooth with time, was kept tucked away in Shepard’s locker. She had a pocket added to her armour so she could carry it with her on missions. She offered no explanation, and her crew never asked.

Virmire hit her hard. Her persona, too brittle, shattered like glass. She didn’t sleep for days, plagued by nightmares of Kaidan dying. Food was ashes in her mouth, and she couldn’t keep down what little she managed to eat. Eventually she found a dark corner of the Normandy, wrapped her arms around herself, and cried for the first time in years. For the first time since she left Earth, maybe. And then she dusted herself off and kept going. There was work left to be done.

They called her the hero of the Citadel, for defeating Saren and Sovereign. She didn’t want that, didn’t want to mean so much to so many. Whenever you’re more than a person to someone, you’re also less than a person to them. But she knew firsthand what it meant to have an idol. And so she accepted the title, and she did everything that was asked of her. And so they kept asking, and asking, until there was nothing left of Shepard to give.

And then, finally, she died. Died and was released from her work, her constant need to do better, to be better, her one-woman crusade to sainthood. At a certain point, martyrdom and freedom became inextricable. As her space suit ruptured, Shepard closed her eyes and pictured the derelict rafters of the church. She heard the leathery flap of bat wings, and, feather-light, soft singing. And then she was gone.

Thoughts on a fun way to make a Star Trek/Mass Effect crossover? Or characters interactions cross-series?

like a full crossover? hmmm, certainly it’d be a parallel worlds type situation where I feel in Trek world the Leviathans didn’t evolve and create the Reapers and thus life wasn’t constantly wiped out and that’s why there’s more of an alien populace in the galaxy to explain the stark differences. And then time travel would get involved too since ME takes place before Trek.

So depending on which Trek you’re gonna go with (which for me I can pick any) there’s some wormhole shenanigans going on only what they call wormholes are the dark energy spots that Reapers use in ME time. The crew is investigating them when they go through it and end up in ME time (or if you want the ship accidentally goes through a la Voyager crossing over quadrants).

At first the crew is clearly trying to not get involved but can’t resist the chance to explore and learn the differences and when they realize this isn’t their actual past and can interact with the place more, which brings them into contact with the Normandy which has been sent to investigate the strange readings so we get to crew interactions of (which I’ll put under a cut cause it got long):

Spock and/or Tuvok, and Liara discussing the Vulcan Mind Meld versus the Asari meld and coming to the conclusion that they might have a genetic link back

Tali and B’Elanna having a field day comparing notes (and complaining) on what it’s like keeping a ship together when you don’t have all the parts you really need since Tali used to do that with the Quarian ships and B’Elanna does that now

Kirk and Shepard discussing choices made that shape worlds for better or worse despite the best of intentions and geeking out over model ships. You can’t tell me that doesn’t happen.

Bashir and Mordin are the only people able to understand each other in their speed talking and excitedly sharing notes about different aliens.

Worf and Wrex and Grunt immediately start a fight (bonus points for Wrex insulting Worf for sounding like Uvenk whom Dorn voices)

Seven and Legion (in a world where he lives, what do you mean he dies) discussing what it’s like going from a hive mind to being individuals and coming to find yourself and who you are as a person, like Legion clearly was more involved in finding this aspect for his people as opposed to Seven who had it forced on her but they share the desire now to learn and become an individual and protect those they care about

Janeway and Shepard blow something up by accident while trying to investigate something because of course they do

Samara and Deanna sitting down and just discussing life because I feel like these two would be friends and smirking at their friends antics and secretly betting on who’s gonna get into what danger

I actually have a lot of thoughts about paragon!Shepard and Michael being similar characters in the sense of having this burden of the galaxy placed on them and speaking out against things that people refuse to see except for the crew they’re apart of and trying to warn people of a war and do their best to prevent it and bring people together

Tilly and Tali and Gabby together would be a delight I feel, just talking excitedly about everything under the sun. including the sun.

Sulu and Joker arguing who's a better pilot and Sulu being fascinated how Mass Effect fields work when it comes to piloting and Joker proudly explaining it

Sisko tries to adopt Grunt from Shepard (no I’m mostly kidding, I think that Sisko and Shep have a great deal of respect for each other in caring for the crew and having in placed in an almost god like reverence in certain situations and the struggles with that. and then also Sisko brings back baseball to the Mass Effect world. Shepard absolutely hates that)

I figure the EMH would actually be most interested in biotics and the science of that and writing down to make a paper to publish as the first hologram to do so.

Likewise EDI is fascinated with hologram technology that Trek’s have and if the ships have ever developed sentience in any way and if she can incorporate some of that technology into the Normandy to further her own development

I think Kira gets along with Wrex and is angry at Salarians on his behalf once she hears what was done to the Krogan because the genocide of a species hits hard with her

Tilly and Samantha are even worse than Bashir and Mordin at talking so fast no one gets it but them and they very much do enjoy talking to each other

Tom and Steve have shuttle races until they’re ordered back by their bosses because really guys

Geordi has a lot of talks with EDI, some about his friendship with Data and the human side of interacting with a being that’s trying to learn about humanity themselves but most about the ship and the benefits of integration with it that allow you to be aware of everything that’s happening on it

also Data and EDI tell the worst jokes and everyone regrets this

Picard and Thane drink tea together and discuss philosophies and Thane talks about his species old artifacts and how they were lost to his culture and Picard just listens with interest and some ideas on how you could maybe get those back

Jadzia and Jack get along surprisingly well, they have a holodeck fight at one point and Jadzia takes tricorder readings of biotics and then they go out drinking together

on the flip side Ezri and Miranda get along in terms of being forced to live up to unreasonable family expectations (all though far less harsh in Ezri’s case) and having to carve out your own identity and also like...weirdly everyone hating you for no other reason than your character exists

Bev gets into playing poker with Kaidan and Steve and now they’re all trying to beat each other constantly at it

Saru and Liara get along the easiest at first and discuss the wild things their crews get up to and how they eventually just started to go along with the madness

Kasumi keeps trying to steal from Tuvok but can’t manage it and thinks it’s the best challenge she’s had in years. Tuvok just wants to talk to Thane and get back to the Delta Quadrant already captain.

Harry and Jacob get to talking about having to prove themselves and always being looked over and the troubles of trying to get your own command

Bones hates all of this, Kirk what the hell have you done now. That said he and Zaeed get to drinking and talking about the bullshit that comes from space travel. All though Zaeed’s is more about how annoying it is to try to kill someone in it. Bones thinks he’s just over exaggerating and not a mercenary at first.

James keeps showing off for literally everyone and turning things into a competition with whoever he can when it comes to physical activities, he’s still sulking that Data beat him until he finds out that Data is an android and then calls foul on it.

Odo and Zaeed grumble about everything together

B’Elanna and Ashley have a book club that they don’t tell anyone about and share romance novels and poetry while complaining about how everyone doesn’t expect it from them and that’s part of why they don’t tell people those parts of themselves

Uhura gets the translators turned off on the Normandy to listen to everyone’s dialect and language and is quick to pick up on it, she’s especially good with Drell and enjoys conversing with Thane in it

Liara is absolutely freaked out that Deanna sounds like her mother and Deanna is absolutely using this to troll her whenever she can because it amuses her

Grunt and Chekov get into arguments about history of all things despite that people keep pointing out that they’re from alternate worlds and therefore it’s different anyway

Chakwas and Chakotay sit down to talk about what it’s like sorta taking care of the crew and just ridiculous stories of things they’ve put with

Riker at one point talks to Miranda about clones and dealing with someone who is the same genetically as you but isn’t you and do you have a relationship with them or leave them be (they don’t come up with an answer really)

Mordin gets banned from taking samples of other aliens

Nog and Gabby talk one point about being sorta new to the experiences of war and frontline suddenly and the horrors that come with it and share their experiences of being trapped by the Reapers vs being in a Jem’Hadar fight and coming back from that

Guinan doesn’t care much for Javik but they do have one good discussion about what it’s like being one of the last of your species and seeing so many of them die due to a machine race (and worse, converted to serve that race) that you just can’t fight back against no matter how much you try (or that’s what they thought at the time)

Samantha and Spock and Kirk and/or Airiam have strategy game nights and really get into it and Spock will typically leave while Sam and Kirk are still geeking out over it until the morning

Quark is banned from the Normandy point blank

Worf tries to get everyone to appreciate Klingon opera, the only one he manages to get into it are Grunt and Legion

Scotty is especially fascinated with the drive core of the Normandy and talks to Adams about it constantly

Chakotay and James having a boxing match at one point

Jake interviews like everyone and is thinking about turning this experience into a novel and enjoys listening to everyone’s stories

O’Brien and Garrus get caught up in calibrations, can you come back later

okay this literally is getting too long already but I could keep going. I think then there’s a group discussion about the Borgs vs the Reapers and the troubles everyone faces in those fights and a lot of back and forth about things that have worked for one crew that may help someone else out (like the Changeling cure to maybe help the Genophage cure or vice versa)

1. do you make your bed? oof, no unfortunately. i usually do on sunday mornings but throughout the week i’m always running to late to do it!

2. what’s your favorite number? 13 (birthday day)

3. what’s your job? i work in accounting at a nissan dealership. (blech)

4. can you parallel park? oop, no lol.

5. job you had which would surprise people? uhh maybe my accounting job? i worked from the bottom up and got promoted to here before turning 25 so that’s kinda cool.

6. do you think aliens are real? absolutely without a doubt 👽

7. can you drive a manual car? nope, never saw the point in learning to be honest.

8. what’s your guilty pleasure? umm i still listen to most of the music that i listened to in middle school (bmth, mayday parade, alesana, etc)

9. tattoos? yup! in order of getting them: deathly hallows symbol, a crescent moon, wir kamen wir sahen wir liebten, and three downward pointing arrow heads (they’re supposed to be a symbol for create your own happiness idk). i’m also going to be getting another in april! ♡

11. things people do that drive you crazy? drive like they’ve never seen a road or a car and they’re not sure how they managed to get on/in either.

12. any phobias? clowns. fuck them. (i’m at sam winchester’s level of clown hating)

13. favorite childhood sport? uhhuhh lol, well i played baseball when i was 8 for a minute. that was pretty fun for what i can remember.

14. do you talk to yourself? yup, there’s a constant narrative going on in here *points to noggin*.
