Years ago, myself and revolutionnaire bandied about the idea of Yukawa and Utsumi after a Police Ball, and while we didn't work on it together, we were both very excited about it.

I had started something along those lines for a prompt on my 30Kisses table, but never got far with it. Those scenes sat, lonely, until I decided to fold them into my Whumptober fic started last year. That same fic is now very close to being finished. I'll be glad to get it out of my works-in-progress list, as that brings the total of 30Kisses stories I need to write down to only one.

For me, I didn’t create Galileo content with the thought that “these two (Yukawa and Utsumi) have absolutely nothing romantic going on between them.” The fact that two people, who are such polar opposites of each other, could solve problems together from the same point of view using different approaches, means that their hearts and thoughts are linked, because it’s impossible to achieve something like this otherwise.

Yukawa says he’s not good with children because they’re illogical. But Utsumi operates on her detective’s intuition, which in itself is an illogical thing, and he’s willingly worked with her for so many years. That’s evidence that Yukawa can handle Utsumi very well.

On the other side, Utsumi is the one who respects Yukawa, his thoughts and ideas most, and understands best Yukawa’s sense of justice but also tenderness as a scientist. Yukawa is the person with whom she can be totally, purely herself.

So when these two debate fiercely, as an outsider one would think that they’re bickering and flirting. Isn’t it a blessing to hear the audience say, “Just date already!” ?

lol, what is my main fandom anymore. This blog is a mess. I guess I wish there was more stuff for some of the lesser known/older series that I like?? The Last Dragonlord by Joanne Bertin has all of like... six posts on tumblr. Tops. But it’s one of my comfort reads and I love it, and I wish I had more people to talk about it with. Ditto for Twin Signal. I wish I saw more... I dunno. I’m pretty easy to please when it comes to fandom stuff, really.

Blood by Abandoned Pools - while I’ve wanted to make an AMV of Galaxy Railways to this song for ages, it actually reminds me more of Sirius Black...

F: Special radio show for the premiere of “Silent Parade” on 16th September, starting now!

F: I am Fukuyama Masaharu and I play Yukawa Manabu.

S: I am Shibasaki Kou and I play Utsumi Kaoru. And we’re on air!

F: This show is a mix between a radio show and a TV show.

S: Yes.

F: This is my home ground!

S: Your radio shows are recorded here aren’t they?

F: Yes, I go to work here.

(Laughter)

F: The new Galileo movie is premiering on 16th September, and in this show, we’ll be talking both about the movie and ourselves.

F: Exposing? Well maybe 😂 First let’s watch this message from Kitamura Kazuki, who plays Detective Kusanagi.

F: Change of topic. This is a message from crew member edachin. I am a big fan of Ms. Shibasaki.

S: Really? (looks around)

F: My daily motivation is to become a man worthy of Ms. Shibasaki. To make sure that I am on the right track, I would like to know what Ms. Shibasaki's type of man is.

S: So the writer is here in the studio?

F: Maybe?

S: Isn't that great?

F: (looking around) Wait who is it? How old? Is he young? (laughter)
