hey t, 🍒 here!!! i’ve seen 🧸 and bby’s messages and it’s kinda made me feel a bit braver to let this out. i recently turned 18 (like 3 months ago) and my further geography teacher has been kinda perving on me 😭 like don’t get me wrong he’s not bad looking and i’d def SMASH but i feel like it’s a bit off since he’s taught me since i was 16. and it’s not just normal ish stuff like he calls me baby and babygirl (tbf tho he calls everyone nicknames, never that though), and he was helping me out with something the other day and his hand was on my thigh. i feel kinda grossed out but i kinda want him uhhh what do i do??? ts so wrong but like sorta hot ughhh do you have any advice because i feel super objectified but i really want his attention because his subject is important to me and also it does seem like he really cares abt me but i’m still really unsureeee

He’s grooming you.

The fact that he’s your teacher, while the situation might be hot in your mind, would be abusing his power over you. It’s beyond creepy that he has known you since 16 and now that you’re of legal age, is making uncomfortable moves on you. He’s an authority figure and he knows better than to be talking to you that way and touching you that way. I assume he’s in his 30s or 40s and when it comes to maturity, there is a HUGE difference between 18 and 30. Even between 18 and 21, I myself am an entirely different person than I was at 18. Your frontal lobe isn’t even fully developed by 25. I know that might not feel good to hear but it’s true.

To put it blunt, your teacher is a creep. If you were 30 and doing your masters or your phd, I might feel differently. But you’re not. You’re freshly 18 and he’s your teacher.

Don’t go for this. Don’t do it. Don’t romanticize it. Don’t convince yourself that you need to sleep with an older guy just because anyone else is. Or even just because you have convinced yourself that you want to. You said yourself that it grosses you out and makes you feel objectified. That is enough for me to see you don’t actually want this. You just want some form of attention and validation that sleeping with him would bring.

Spoiler alert, it won’t. In fact, it’ll probably make you feel worse. It will make you feel even more objectified.

I slept with guys back at 18 for the sole purpose of attention. Looking back now, there are things I did that I definitely wish I hadn’t. And they weren’t even any older than me.

And sweetie… you’re still a kid. Like you said, you can’t even drink yet. There’s no way for me to look at this situation and feel that sleeping with him or pursuing him is a good idea.

can I ask who that strongest and most important girl is and also about what makes that episode so horrible and infuriating… I’m curious I like hearing you talk abt ranma O_o

(i'm going to use pronouns/genders as they're used in the show for clarity so i apologize if this sounds rough) her name is tsubasa, she met ukyo (girl who spent most of her formative years dressed as a boy, and another girl that ranma's dad promised ranma's hand in marriage to when ranma was too young to understand what was even happening) when they were young and has been in love with her ever since. eventually, ukyo gets sick of receiving love letters from tsubasa so she sends tsubasa a letter saying "i'm in love with someone else, drop it already", with a picture of girltype ranma (because tsubasa thinks ukyo is a boy, so the person that ukyo is in love with should be a girl). well tsubasa shows up and takes ranma (ranma spends most of this episode as a girl, the episode just starts out with him in his girlform without explanation. and he only changes to his boyform for a specific reason which ill get to. based. anyways) as a rival for ukyo's affections instead of taking the hint that ukyo is just not interested.

in an attempt to get tsubasa to finally drop it, akane (she's also here) tells tsubasa that ukyo is a GIRL, not a boy like tsubasa supposedly originally thought, but tsubasa proudly announces that she ONLY likes girls and she has in fact known all along that ukyo is a girl and just doesn't care. this is of course based on tsubasa's part but she is met with disgust by especially akane. ranma is preoccupied because tsubasa called him ugly.

tsubasa later falls in love with ranma (still girltype) in a heart to heart where ranma feels bad about winning ukyo's affection over tsubasa, especially considering he doesn't even LIKE ukyo, because no matter how annoying someone is if they start crying ranma will start to feel bad for them. anyways she says she never actually thought he was ugly she was just jealous that ukyo liked ranma better. ranma is so kind to her that she falls in love with him.

the second half of the episode is essentially them trying to make tsubasa straight, this is where it gets really bad. akane meets her for lunch and tries to tell her that she should try and find a good boyfriend instead of chasing after ranma and ukyo, but tsubasa dismisses her and says that she hates boys and isn't interested in anyone else. then, ranma agrees to meet tsubasa for a date. he shows up though as a BOY, which obviously makes tsubasa angry, and when akane and ukyo approach him about what he's doing he says he was "trying to get her back on the straight and narrow."

THEEEN then through a series of events tsubasa gets revealed to actually be a BOY who crossdresses. ukyo knew this the whole time and thought the other two already knew. akane and ranma are deeply disgusted, calling him a creep and a pervert and a freak. akane questions if he's gay (this episode is literally the most direct they've been about sexuality, also that question makes no damn fucking sense), and he proudly says that nope, he's as straight as they come, he just likes to dress up as a girl. ranma says thats really weird and gross and tsubasa tells him that he and ranma are kind of exactly the same actually, which ranma angrily dismisses (and the way this discussion is framed the audience is supposed to agree that ranma is somehow different).

now tbf i havent WATCHED every episode, there's a lot i havent seen/read yet, but this is the most direct they've been about .. all of this. offhanded comments are BAD but i can stomach it fine, but literally the whole plot of this episode is "this girl is a lesbian, this is disgusting and we need to fix it" to "this [girl] is [trans], this is disgusting and we need to shun [her]." part of my annoyance with it also is that ranma LITERALLY spent the first half of the episode AS A GIRL, FOR NO REASON, TO COMPETE IN A CONTEST WITH TSUBASA OVER WHO COULD SELL THE MOST OKONOMIYAKI [TO SPECIFICALLY GUYS] BASED ON LOOKS ALONE? and this was treated as a silly gag as usual (still bad framing obviously but to be expected), but when tsubasa did it it was freakish and perverted. akane has MANY romantic scenes with ranma while he's a girl, but tsubasa blatantly saying "i only like girls" was treated as an issue that needed to be fixed.

idk it might sound silly to hear me be so upset about this ep like what did i expect really, but this is the most on the nose they've ever been . and it just made me sad and was hard to watch . worst part is, its still a trans allegory and none of this is unrealistic. i cant even say the characters wouldnt do or say that. the episode's deep hypocrisy is so obvious that its kind of insane that the mangaka didn't even recognize it. like of course akane would be extra disturbed by a girl who likes girls due specifically to the fact that she's afraid of her own obvious bisexuality, and of course ranma would be extra disturbed by a boy who shamelessly enjoys telling people he's a girl due specifically to the fact that ranma is coming around to doing that as well himself and its frightening because it's supposed to be wrong.

the reason i like ranma 1/2 is because i LIKE the realness of it. even though the premise is so bizarre, it does actually feel like how it would go if a kid in the 1980s was slowly realizing they were bigender due to a freak incident that forced them to confront their gender identity in a way they never would have otherwise. because of the perspective of the author, this is never fully going to come to pass, which makes me sad but is to be expected. i feel like my expectations are generally where they should be, even though i complain about it a lot its not totally because i EXPECTED better. most of it is bad. not even just from a "this is transphobic" perspective but just from a narrative perspective, pretty much nothing ever changes, none of the characters really learn anything (except ranma sort of), most of the time the story is just chasing its own tail. but there's something special about it and something really important to me that i have a hard time putting into words. idk idk i need to get them out of there. does this all make any sense at all

SO my space pirates r cap tachi and maisie. i love them with my whole heart. they’re a polycule <3 cap’s aromantic bc i love projecting but they and tachi are dating in like a bffs sort of queerplatonic but almost romantic but not really and love each other sooooo so much way (also bc i love projecting)(although tbf i came up with their relationship before i myself had a relationship to project onto them. it’s still kind of projection tho).

they r also dating maisie but like the cap/tachi dynamic is. okay i’m gonna clarify first that this bit is NOT projection. anyway cap and tachi r suuuuuuuuuper codependent and like definitely pretty unhealthy but also it works for them. they don’t know how to live without each other and neither of them want to find out. they’re definitely the type to go on an absolute rampage if either of them got killed. tachi can do the most terrible shit in the world and cap will find a way to justify it. cap can do the most terrible shit in the world and tachi won’t justify it but he will forgive it. tachi is cap with fewer inhibitions. he’s loud and brash and impulsive where cap actively reigns those traits in in themself. cap also tends to be very stoic and doesn’t like admitting they have emotions. they take care of people that’s what they Do but they often do it to their own detriment. they’ll ignore their own needs if there’s someone that they perceive as needing their help.

tachi loves swords. it’s a bit sexual ngl. he also loves fighting people. he’s absolutely the first of the group to start a physical fight; cap prefers at least an attempt at diplomacy and maisie likes to sit back and watch things unfold. tachi is easily bored and tends to look for any type of excitement. he and maisie argue for fun, but neither of them are very good at knowing where to draw the line, so often one of them will accidentally say something genuinely upsetting and it’ll become an actual argument. they fight a lot, but they also make up pretty easily. tachi will flirt with anyone and everyone, and he’s usually successful. he’s got a huge amount of people on various planets that he keeps in touch with bc he slept with them once or twice and left on good terms. this comes in handy a Lot. cap and maisie do have the occasional other partner, but tachis has the most simply bc he’s the most extroverted and socially adept.

maisie love of my life !! okay she kinda sucks ngl. VERY fuck around and find out. this often results in Bad Things. cap and tachi think she’s the hottest person in the universe but she’s actually kind of gross and greasy. (obviously this only makes her hotter) she likes to hide deep in the inside working of the ship and build bombs, but she also does general repairs when necessary. she loves to be taken care of, which feeds very well into caps need to take care of people, especially since tachi hates being taken care of and will brush off a near fatal wound if he can.

iont talk abt eris enough

#tbf I’m really bad at talking abt anyone #i mostly talk abt retro and no one on tumblr knows anything abt her but ppl in the server #oh fuck the server #but yeah I never talk abt eris #she’s. funny. and very tragic #and I can’t talk abt her without talking abt Alice.. those two r very important to me esp as a black system because god. ugh feelings hard #eris comes from such a complicated situation where she had all the resources to get the help she needed #(not ALL the resources but still) and yet never got it. her moms were good people but not the best parents #when they died she kinda repressed a lot of the stuff they did that hurt her. one of her moms was a pediatrician and the other a child #services worker.. they saw the signs they had to. But black ppl don’t like givin up on family #and they were busy. too busy saving other peoples kids to protect theirs and that’s not fair to them or to eris’ memory of them #but honestly she could not deal with the realization that her mothers weren’t perfect AND that they were dead #and that’s where Alice comes in and I think it’s so interesting that whilst eris grows up to be bitter and jaded it’s not her who completely #splits on the idea of her birth parents but Alice. but Alice protects Alice is a friend in her loneliest moments even if Alice was only a #little girl herself. and it’s so funny how similar Alice is to leo because I’m sure to eris even tho leo was just a scrawny runt too. leo #but that’s besides the point. idk abt other systems but we are so many people it gets confusing. but it’s just eri and Ali ik there #and I project abit. once the abuse stopped and her mothers put her in therapy eris did repress alice and all the things that happened to #idk make her words r hard right now. and there’s a resentment there but also a sadness that eris needs her again years into the future #alice is the reason eri even gets sent to fuse in the first place. trying to protect her and separate her foster parents #alice is a culmination of eris’ want to be protected and loved and safe and free to express herself. but alice is so different she presents #herself as eris’ older sister and it BURNS her to know that eris sometimes scapegoats her whenever she does something that has consequences #Alice is overprotective and anxious and grumpy but also fun loving and kind. she stands up for herself eris and others whenever she feels #like it unlike eris who has to calculate when and how she speaks. they both have aspects that the other envies and that the other hates #Alice does present herself to eris as a big scary monster sometimes but that’s mostly out of anger and eris isn’t really scared. more anoyed #eris’ plots don’t revolve around her did but when she does have the spotlight Alice will as well to her chagrin. eris is in a constant state #of denial at all times. it’s one of her biggest character flaws. she denies that Leo’s changed denies that Retro isn’t out to hurt her #denies that she can’t do anything abt her moms’ murders denies that everything is changing #denies that cops are a problem she denies Alice’s existence but to acknowledge Alice means she has to acknowledge all of the ugly parts of #her life. her accepting herself and Alice and the truth really pushes her to places she has hasn’t been since before her moms died before #her friend group broke up etc. but golly the journey is long. i rambled more abt Alice than eris lowkey but that’s fine they’re sisters

hii, i wanted to ask a question about my bestie xx

i’ve typed her as an enfj bc she’s always seemed like a high Fe type to me and the enfj function stack and descriptions of them on various websites were describing her very well. me and her are very different “people-wise”: she always talks abt ppl behind their backs while maintaining friendly attitude talking WITH them, always compliments ppl to get something she wants(some of our teachers always loved her bc she knew how to get their love and trust); then me…i’m an isfp…totally opposite, i have only a few friends, i hate talking behind people’s back, never “sucked up” on anyone, including teachers(some of them still love me, but for different reasons), i can’t compliment people i don’t like(tbf, i can’t compliment AT ALL, very bad at words, unlike my friend) and etc. I also don’t like lying to people and friends, and she, on the other hand lies or manipulates her words quite a lot(sometimes it helps her getting what she wants tho, i must admit).

But i’ve noticed recently that she’s very secretive…like…really secretive. She never shows her true feelings or struggles to her friends(or me, at least, lmao)…We both keep our feelings inside, but I have high Fi and I thought this kind of way of dealing with emotions was kinda Fi-ish. Not that she shows her friends her fake emotions, but more like she deals with them on her own.

also, she’s very impulsive in terms of her interests? more than me sometimes(and i have aux Se)…she gets heavily invested, for example in her choice of her future career and has her future in this career all planned(what uni will she graduate, how successful she might be, how “cool” will she be, etc.) and she talks about it(her new interest/hobby or her career choice) so passionately, that you think “omg, she REALLY wants to be a therapist/marketing specialist/dentist/whatever”, and she seems really invested in it, but then she DROPS it…like, she suddenly “realizes” it’s not what she wants or that that profession isn’t as good/profitable as she thought. She also cancels plans last minute a lot. It can be her, who encourages and organises our friend group’s gathering, but then gets out of it last minute herself, sometimes trying to make really pathetic excuses(but sometimes they’re very well-thought, such as “my parents asked me to babysit my little siblings” so none of us could blame her for telling that she won’t go w us last minute). I’m not telling it’s always lies. I’m sure sometimes her parents really don’t allow her to go somewhere or ask to babysit, but why does she always tell us that last minute!? sometimes she does things for her own benefit, like she’d rather go out with a person who has a good camera(so they could take pics for her), rather than someone she’s closer to and will have better time with. she’s also very insecure deep down. me too, but i don’t want people’s approval as much as her. she’s always scared to gain weight or look bad to her boyfriend, even though he’s the nicest guy i’ve ever met and has always told her that she’s the most beautiful girl ever and he would love her no matter what. perhaps i could also describe her as “all talk, no actual actions” and it hurts me isfp ass very much :((

we also have a lot of passive aggression in our relationship, bc we’re both hate conflicts in some way, and sometimes supress our anger towards each other(i tend to sometimes burst out tho), so ig she’s more passive aggressive than me and never tells me what’s wrong, therefore i can never tell if i offended her or not. idk, maybe she thinks the sam abt me?

she’s not a bad person tho, she’s a good friend and we’ve been friends for a long time, but sometimes she acts very very strange and i’m not the only one who has noticed this.

maybe you could help me…from what i’ve described, does she seem enfj type 3(have difficulty telling what her wing is)? ty in advance ❤️

Based on this it sounds like you are both in your mid-teens, and so honestly I would just give it some time if you want to type her because while your personality certainly exists at this time, it’s very much in flux. A lot of this just sounds like she’s dealing with a lot of insecurity and expectations and it’s hard to say if it’s typology governing these actions or if it’s just like...being 16 or 17 (which is what I’ve assumed from this).

I’m not sure what her type is but here are a couple of things that might help you, and I will say that ENFJ doesn’t sound wrong given that assumed age. It could be - looking at ENFP or ESFP wouldn’t hurt - but a lot of her behaviors seem in line with high Fe and even with Ni I would expect a certain amount of impulsivity and indecision at her stage of development.

First, try to think about her in terms of who she is without comparing to yourself. I don’t know for sure if you’re an ISFP - you might be, or you might not be - so if you compare to yourself and you are mistyped then you’re working off an incorrect basis for comparison in the first place and that will make everything harder. Try to think how she compares to people you know in general - and especially your peers. Is she more impulsive than most of your classmates? Less? Around average?

Second, I have found the idea that high Fi users are more private and high Fe users are less private to be absolutely false; I think it is partly based on a Tumblr user who mistyped as an Fe user for a long time but then realized they were a high Fi user and was trying to make that fit and it’s persisted long past that. A lot of high Fi users, especially extroverted ones, are very expressive, and a lot of high Fe users can be private - Fe users are typically very attuned to what others think of them and so might keep their emotions on lockdown or hide them in order to elicit a certain response (Fe-dom 3s, for example, will absolutely do this). As a rule thinkers and introverts are more private with their emotions than feelers and extroverts but that’s about the extent of it.

And finally, and I tell most people this especially when they bring up not just a typology question but also some conflicts or personal difficulties; I get that you are asking me for help with MBTI, and that’s the main help I feel like I have any ability to give and I know unsolicited advice is often unwelcome so feel free to ignore, but: MBTI does not solve interpersonal (or intrapersonal) problems. It can be a very helpful and powerful tool, but knowing is only half the battle (or something). A person who knows literally nothing about MBTI but is an empathetic and thoughtful communicator who does not shy away from healthy confrontation will do better than a typology expert who lacks even one of those traits. If you want to know her type, review the first few paragraphs and see if that helps and feel free to revisit after some time, but if you want to like, know why she keeps flaking on you, then unfortunately getting over the fear of confrontation and potentially upsetting someone will be a far more effective use of time.

I mean she's still active on twt and blocks everyone shipping jb on sight but good bc let's just say she's a piece of work not to mention that she spent months/years writing meta abt how jb was like fanfic stuff and had no book basis and how if you liked j but not c you were a misogynists which was wildly popular

I would like to add that person is basically... let's say everyone in jb fandom who ever got harassed knows exactly who I'm talking about and I'll leave it at that and was not for ship and let ship let's put it like that

so basically this person was on my dash bc I followed ppl who followed her and I saw a lot of jaimes*nsa stuff from her

in the sense that like... she was doing with it what I did with jonc/brynden back in the day when I was wanting to convince the world they were the crackship that was promised as in posting abt it/spamming it/discussing how it made canon sense/more canon sense than jb anyway and the likes, and like there was a fairly numerous amount of stuff for that ship back in the day - like before S2-3 aired jaimes*nsa had pretty high fic numbers/fanwork numbers considering that in canon they haven't interacted once

and that went hand in hand with keeping on trying to burn ground around jb before S2 aired/before they met in canon with that meta

and like... it's not like it started as an antijb thing in itself bc I'm sure that there must have been someone into it before the show aired same as there were ppl who as I was reminded lately wrote brienne/loras hatesex and so on, but the explosion which was during S1-3 (then it lost a bit of traction I think mostly bc jb exploded and sansa/tyrion happened on the show and the ppl involved kind of went more on twitter and didn't produce that much content anymore tho it still has numbers™) was also continuously fanned by person above + her followers who most likely were like... genuinely into it but again the antijb meta was around quite enough at the same time, so

also like... let's just say that back in the day I was the main t*robb ship contributor and I also wrote jb though less but jb was smaller as a fandom so I did post when the ao3 tag was at like... 30 fics or smth so I separately had my foot in both ponds and like until S3-S4 any t*robb fic where jb was the sideship would get tangentially less views/reviews than ones where they were not which in itself wouldn't be a problem bc obviously maybe ppl wouldn't ship one of them, but then there was this uuuh specific case

where someone who followed me for the t*robb who also followed her at some point asked me in private if a 22k t*robb fic that was the sequel to... my most famous/popular jb one let's put like that had a lot of jb in it because they were die hard jc people and it was triggering to them (which... I mean fair enough but in retrospective using that term instead of 'you know I really don't vibe with jb and I'd rather not read it' felt a bit like they were trying to guilt trip me ngl), I said that they showed up together in two scenes and were in the background and at most it was 1k worth of fic and the answer was that it was way too much so they were going to have to skip and like again their prerogative but idk that conversation kind of left me like is this some kind of roundabout way to say that it'd be better if I didn't sideship them? idk but until S3-4 I had the distinct feeling that at least for my own stuff having both ships together meant less readers and ngl I didn't update the infamous t*robb wip fic for a year because I was planning to make jb fairly prominent as a sideship there and I was there like 'oh god what if I get wank over it' and I didn't but again I would like to state it wasn't just because of one person, it was... the general atmosphere that seemed unfriendly unless you stayed on the jb tag/kept both separate

and I would like to add that the moment S3 happened and it sailed anyway bc it was going to was when the targeted harassing of anyone who was active on the tag started ssssso :|

basically like... In retrospect, though, this is an interesting parallel to Forces because he’d apparently learned from his mistakes. TBF, and it has been brought up elsewhere on tumblr, this is a man recovering from amnesia. He must’ve just not gotten to that part. OR HE’S JUST. DUMB AND ARROGANT. Like, yeah, sure, there’s no vaccine - lol the heroes can’t fix anything & it also means you’re valuable because you’re the one person who can. BUT COME ON EGGMAN.

my friend actually predicted this holy shit. i was rambling abt a discussion we had in the egg cult, where we were talking about the possibility of sonic infecting eggman to blackmail him into getting the cure because he’s reached the point?? hes so done with eggman’s shit??? all his friends are in danger and hes backed into a wall what else is he to do than do the one thing he doesn’t want to: use eggman’s tactics against him?

and my friend was like:

LIKE. IT IS A HUGE RISK, and Sonic went FOR IT. I’M SCREAMING TBH.

THIS CONFRONTATION WAS SO FUCKING RAW YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND. I thought I was ready for it but I really, REALLY wasn’t. I love the little details of Starline bein’ like: “oh fuck” - usually he’s pretty cocky around Sonic but uh. HE’S INFECTED NOW. And the zero remark - idk if that’s intentional on the writer’s part but ZERO TO HERO anyone?

anyway toxi broke down crying at this point. you have no idea how much i was sobbing over my blue son just. pouring out his heart to his nemesis. that’s top tier tearjerking material.  also starline passive aggressively readjusting his outfit lmfao. BITCH IM FABULOUS. but man the usage of ‘ BE’ and ‘LIKE’ - Sonic knows who Eggman is; he’d never ask him to be something he’s not. but it’s also a reiteration of sonic’s want to see good in him; being LIKE tinker is a statement in that he wanted eggman to be who he was, but NOT to go back. to do good for the world. have it be his own decision, because deep deep down:

isn’t that what he really wants?

Also, although there are those sickly sweet descriptions, the usage of ellipses in this narrative really fucks me up because you can practially hear the gradual realization in eggman’s voice. his mockery starts out so !!! but it just eventually gets straight to the point, as a list. as a routine. because he was used to it. and because, some part of him misses it. notice the usage of ‘need’ and ‘use’. they needed him, and yet he used the people that appreciated him sm like puppets.

ALSO I SPENT LIKE, HOURS TRYING TO FIND THIS EXACT DIALOGUE, but Eggman has a conversation in Dark Brotherhood with Sonic and makes this remark:

LIKE??? this isn’t new to his character, actually? Ignoring the ken penders thing bc smh. Going by this game he’s actually kind of okay with that set up. And he just works so well with the others too??? this isn’t even taking into account the other games he’s teamed up with them. I’m sorry but my head just goes back to this line so many times; it’s one of the ones that stick with me, along with ‘complicated guy’ from lost world. HE COULD!! legitimately do good. and he actually doesn’t find it too bad??? IM EMO MAN...

and IMAGINE making super cool things that people genuinely like... eggman has a HUGE ego, that much is very apparent; he’s super big on appreciation as comes with. and with tinker? he had that - he felt appreciated and loved. people LIKED what he made, and he didn’t have to bend over backwards to have that. his work felt included and he didn’t have to take that appreciation by force like he did with his lackeys (which half the time was fake anyway) .

first and foremost - WE SEE THAT OPEN YOUR HEART REFERENCE, IDW. also sonic’s frustration here, in comparison to the lil smile the panel before - he’s just!! “WHY CANT YOU WAKE THE FRICK UP OLD MAN”. the justification here seems a tad bit like DENIAL to me. and the justification seems... kind of odd from him? since when does EGGMAN justify anything he does? He does what he wants and when he wants, because he’s the E.G.G.M.A.N. he doesn’t care what anyone thinks... right?

it’s because - especially with the usage of better - he didn’t like where that train of thought was going. for once, he’s justifying himself - because the alternative is admitting sonic is right. that he did like that life. that he’d want to go back. throw it in a hierachy and it’s all so simple, right?

also the inclusion of open your heart lyrics here. the incident with chaos was just as catastrophic. and these lyrics in context of the previous panel, highlights how sonic and eggman both seek unity and peace but in their own ways; eggman’s is just evil. it seems a little bit of a diversion to me - to antagonise sonic and make him forget about it. what better way to do that than to relate to him? ‘own styles that we won’t change’ highlights a stubbornness in ways, too, especially with the current context of eggman denying his old life. ALSO IT IS LITERALLY TELLING EGGMAN TO OPEN HIS HEART.

and ngl this seems like idle banter to hide the fact he genuinely felt remorse for his actions for a second. because lbr he has a habit of being all talk when a plan goes wrong or suffering inside,

which starline does quite pointedly explain.

As I was saying above, Sonic has no choice in what to do now - he’s reaching his limit. OR ELSE. hes pondering doing the thing he doesnt want to do. and honestly, ‘you can’t stop me. no one can,’ is so hardhitting not just because of its looming threat, but because of how much it solidifies for sonic that he can’t take the chance anymore. if anyone is going to change eggman, it has to be himself.

also can i just cry over how much sonic trusts tails. im getting sa2 flashbacks.

also man i’d like to point out the specific use of ‘lock you away forever’. it coooould be a reference to sonic’s time imprisoned during the events of sonic forces. bitterness?

NOT SAYING I CALLED IT, BUT I CALLED IT. it still hurts though. and wow, it really is horrifying when eggman fears his own heccin’ creation, huh?

im immensely concerned the direction starline is going, honestly. but it does say a lot about eggman; how he’ll keep trying the same things expecting different results, but failing and never seeing that. because he’s EGGMAN; every plan is brilliant by default!

i love how sonic just !!! SHOT... THE MOMENT HE WAS REMINDED WHAT WAS AT STAKE. son i love you so much you’re doing great sweetie

also, man, can we talk about eggman avoiding his blatant faults, and shoving his failures onto someone else? because this little scene here - eggman ur literally the one who crashed the thing. it had absolutely nothing to do with sonic. i feel as though this is symbolism of his self-destructive nature, honestly. hes always gotta make things harder for himself. (also starline’s face is killing me)

Eggman does what he has to, but technology won’t work every time you kick it. he thinks he can get everything through force but we have several instances in idw where force did NOT work out; you’re not gonna get far, egghead.

MHM, and just who does that sound like, Eggman? honestly the mirrors between these two are seriously destroying me. although sonic is in a horrible position, so is eggman; he likes to think he’s won the war, but hes surpassed his own expectations, and that’s going to backfire on him eventually. hes stubborn to admit he has NO REIGN over this and they’re all doomed, so he’s pinning his failures / loss on Sonic.

is that the amnesia kicking ya in the shin, eggman? or sonic’s reality check? either way, the doc hates emotions. dammit man why you gotta make him emo

future eggman is going to kick past eggman in the kneecaps. it’s times like this ur reminded how much of a kid he is. eugh but that’s work i want my victory and senseless destruction now. honestly if the doc is after success, he is certainly not getting it this way and I AM FEARING FOR EVERYONE’S LIVES. he’ll probably have to work with what’s left of the resistance like the back end of most games at some point.

I’m getting a little burnt out but i can’t forget my son and how much he hurts me.

first of all that third panel terrifies me. the fact it GOT that far does me great concern. the RED EYES? that’s pushing it fam i dont like that. the expressions are also just freaking destroying me; they’ve been PERFECT this issue. and the fact sonic is at his weakest when he feels like he’s failed everyone hurts me deeply. he has SO much on his shoulders and its getting too overwhelming for him.

also man... the whole thing with eggman... just stuff me man. but it hurts all the more because it’s so glaringly clear that there is?? some good in eggman??? he just. doesn’t want to admit it. and unfortunately these aren’t good circumstances to debate on that.

ANYWAY, THAT ISSUE WAS AGONY AND IM STILL REELING AND HAVENT EVEN. TALKED ALL THAT MUCH ABOUT SONIC HERE (on account of this being eggman’s blog) but idk if i’ll write anything on that.
