finished trimax too so sketch collection yippee. my favorite gung-ho gun is elendira by far and all i truly care about is all the women + SEEDS family drama. subscribe now for my “jokes” about how i heard some vague things about the twins backstory before getting into trigun and expected them to be like kuja zidane and mikoto ffix but theyre actually like the perfect reverse i love it

Here's some fun etymology facts about the Plant kiddos while ep 11 drops for real (14 GMT/2 pm) :D
Vash- Got the street name "Stampede" is because his name (Vashe = cow in french) means runaway cattle, and the mass panic of his bounty hurts him more despite his pacifism. His alias, Eriks (from TriMax and '98) is a derivative of "ever/always (ei) and ruler/king (ríkr)" which paired with his two year retirement, he actually gets to live a relatively peaceful life despite being haunted by his past (and Wolfwood)
Nai/Knives- Living up to the name Million Knives like a deranged teen girl. Nai is not only a feminine name but also means so much more; (ない nai) "absent", (那 na) "many", combined with (那衣 nai) "clothing", and an obsolete meaning (奈 na) "apple tree"; Considering Trigun/TriMax and Tristamp's ep. 10 foreshadowing...Ouch.
Tessla- Both a masculine and feminine name, is not only based off of Nikola Tesla (discovering/manipulating electricity, bringing forth modern alternate power after his death/recognition in 1990's) the surname Tesla is also a special woodworks/agricultural axe called a adze. Story-wise, Nai took her death pretty hard in TriMax and they all have some tree symbolism sprinkled in there as well so... :)

ngl I feel so validated knowing that in trimax Rem and Conrad didn't just oppose the experimentation on Tessla, they fucking raised hell about it
bc I've seen so many dogshit takes like "well Conrad fucked up Tessla too" and they cite tristamp Conrad's guilt aS IF ONE CAN'T ALSO FEEL GUILTY FOR BEING UNABLE TO STOP THE HORRIBLE THING??? UNABLE TO DO ENOUGH??? BC THOSE FEW VOICES OF PROTEST GOT FUCKING DROWNED OUT BY THOSE WHO DIDN'T EVEN SEE THIS LITTLE GIRL AS A PERSON???
like. no. shut the fuck up. yeah, both iterations of Conrad got hands-on on some p fucked up shit - BUT NOT ON TESSLA.

Me, ready to explain how we still miss many key pieces of Knives's story puzzle and that while he's more fleshed out in Stampede than in 98' anime he still isn't as sympathetic as manga's Knives but it's all the part of creators' Grand Scheme and pretty sure is going to change cardinally in the future:
Me, realizing that for all this to be confirmed, I need the second season, and it's still far away:

See my thing is I go back and forth on if I want Tesla to either be even more unhinged than Nai/Knives, or just not give a single fuck about humanity either way now that the ones who directly harmed her/were responsible for her suffering are dead.
