Absolutely! Full disclousure though: Im villain woobifier and while I dont woobify all my villain blorbos, Ehlek is one of the ones that I do.

Ehlek is my third favorite Barraki (my 1 and 2 being Pridak and Takadox respectively if you're curious) and one of my favorite characters in the series as whole. I honestly consider him to be one of the most underrated characters in the series, and easily the most underrated character that isn't a serial-exclusive lore character (see Miserix or Artakha for instance). Just, I adore him so much.

One of the main reasons I like Ehlek is because of he is rather unique by Bionicle villain standards. Ehlek is one of the rare villains in the series that isn't a variation of the "powerhungry conqueror with a personality gimmick to stand them out" archetype because...he isn't really powerhungry or greedy at all. Instead, Ehlek is pretty much exclusively characterized by his anger and paranoia towards others. Ehlek is motivated not by a thirst of power, but rather by his emotions: from what I recall most of his actions in canon stem from wanting to hurt whatever upset him that day. And like I said, this incredibly unique by Bionicle villain standards, the only other villain who is motivated exclusively by emotion is Miserix, and guy isn't even really a villain (TSO and Pridak ocasionally are driven by their emotions, but they still mainly fall to the "powerhungry bastard" trope Greg loved to use). And not just is Ehlek stand out, he stands out in a way I like. I love villains driven by their emotion, so Ehlek being a paranoid distrusting mess is just the absolute best for me.

Because Ehlek is an emotionally driven character and doesn't fall for the "greedy bastard Greg villain mold" unlike his fellow Barraki (Takadox and debatably Carapar not withstanding), I actually really like thinking of Ehlek as the "token sympathetic villain" of the Barraki. I ADORE the "token sympathetic/nice guy in a villain faction" trope, and wish it was something Bionicle had done more often. Now, due to Barraki being tyrannic conquerors, seeing any of them as a "good guy" is kinda iffy. However, I do think having one of them be less bastardly and more sympathetic/tragic could work very well. And I think Ehlek is the best fit given his personality as said. As such a lot of my Ehlek related headcanons are giving him more sympathetic traits. Including giving him a tragic backstory because of course I would.

So my backstory headcanon for Ehleks backstory is rather long and detailed, so I wont go everything here. But I can give you a summary. Basically my headcanon for Ehlek is that he was a prince/ruler of one of the many underwater kingdoms in a continent somewhat wayside of the Matoran Universe. He was well meaning and rather naive, and thus was used as a political pawn by other political figures. He was repeatedly manipulated and taken adcantage of both by other rulers and his own allies. Eventually, after being told he had been used by his own advisor the whole time, Ehlek snapped, and killed anyone he saw as a threat, including the aforementioned advisor. Guy basically become a tyrant after having his trust being broken and kindness abused one too many times.

And thats why I put all those "aaa poor baby uwu" answers. Ehlek for me is a tragic figure who was evil not by nature, but because being repeatedly betrayed and used broke his mind to a distrustful mess. He never wanted to hurt anyone, he just wanted to love and help others. Unlike the other five Barraki he wasnt always an opportunistic warmongerer, he was orginally a kindhearted sensitive soul that wasnt able to take it anymore, so he broke. Just god little little baby you didnt deserve it and shouldve been able to live a happy nad fulfilling life.

um. so i have a story set around tenebraes birth, so about 5000bby ish. at least 2k years before the swtor story, anyway - and i draw a lot from purebloods encouraging polyamory as a means of fertility and diversity, also because there is no reason to be Stuck With One Person.

but you are expected to be reasonable, fair, and courteous to your existing partner(s) and they must agree to enter a relationship with the new partner being courted. having an undue affair is punishable by probably death.

regarding children - all marriages are officiated with a borne child who will wear the combined named of their biological parents. being a deadbeat is punishable by death and having your name stripped from that child and also from history.

ummmmm. before the dark jedi, the castes werent so Widely defined; everyone had their jobs but there was no reason to cause strife and division. the dark jedi came in and said NOOOO YOU BELONG HERE AND THEY BELONG THERE AND YOU CANT MIX NOOOOO HARMONY IS SUCH A JEDI TRAIT and now theres inter-species racism, thanks,

oh my personal fave, ofc the zuguruk have five-fingered hands. then its stated that the purebloods hybridized w the dark jedi. to me, that is false - the purebloods hybridized through the dark side of the force over time because they were no longer the dominant threat on their planet. this can be observed on ziost as well, with an increased number of mirialans in recent years and newborns are already starting to exhibit heightened flexibility and agility reminiscent of the mirialans.

i once again went to sleep instead of watching an episode but im here for the first vice versa episode now! (and depending on how im feeling, i might watch the second episode when it airs tonight, but no promises)

man my dreams earlier were so cool. only three out of five were connected. one of them was a dream in a dream. its been so long since ive had that type. usually its scary but that one was really fun. it had a theme of elongated teeth, red curtains, endless rooms, and large feasts. like whoa... thats a preddy nice theme you got there! and the one thing that was really cool about it was that i wasnt even in the dream itself. i was just an audience or a pov without a body watching everything go down. it felt like watching a show :,) and man the lore was really nice too. basically the characters in the dream were dreaming and going through these endless rooms and pathways, which were apparently part of this global network of nonsensical paths that teleport you anywhere in the world into other peoples dreams. there are little to no self governing beings in the network, and if there are, they either want to help you or eat you depending on their mood. theyre like these eldritch characters with skin similar to a squid dying. the one my characters met were helpful so they got to explore the pathways safely. they didnt have names in the dream so ill call them dreamereaters. they dont do much aside from occupy the pathways. oh and i did saw this birds eye view of the network and it looked like the pathways were represented as rays of light connecting to this circular center point. the pathways always moved, disappeared, or reappeared, but there were these large straight ones towards the north, south, east, and west that stayed in place. never found out what was in there. since the only way to access the pathways was through a dream, a lot of weird stuff happens inside. there was one time the characters' teeth stretched out and another time where it was just pitch black except for the campsite a dreameater made in the room. the only common room trait youll see is the varying lack of gravity and red curtains lining the walls. never did find out what happened if the characters or i stayed in a pathway that was disappearing though

LITERALLY HOW r u so good at portraying tyrell it seriously kills me. every five seconds im just screaming at my phone "HOW DO THEY KNOW THAT. WHO TOLD THEM"

thank you! i just try to be as accurate to canon as i can be, without sacrificing anything just to make the ship work or the slow burn go faster. i think tyrell is a bit harder to get right than elliot (we see the whole series through elliots perspective and have access to his thoughts, so hes more familiar) so im happy you think im doing something right, lol.

if you want a little bit of Cainight Lore i was diagnosed with a personality disorder about a year ago (szpd) after i was forced to attend government mandated therapy due to numerous suicide attempts lol. its kind of ironic that i love reading/writing fanfiction so much because irl i have absolutely no interest in romance. i hate therapy and am ambivalent toward psychiatry in general, so im really resistant to accepting this diagnosis, even tho i do have all of the symptoms. im not really in the business of trying to diagnose characters, but on the most basic level, i do understand the minimal diagnostic criteria for PDs just from personal experience. i think the identity issues tyrell faces definitely qualify (and ofc are literary parallels to elliots own identity issues, caused by did).

interestingly tho despite the fact that theyre pretty toxic for each other, i think their respective mental problems kind of balance each other out, in a way. theres a lot of fanworks out there that try to diminish tyrells arrogance, for example, or make elliot more outwardly affectionate, but i just dont think thats realistic. i think the characters are way more interesting with their flaws preserved. i also dont take the standard view that people with personality disorders (esp cluster b) are inherently evil or anything, which is the sentiment i think most people have. on a personal level, i actually really dont care about antisocial traits, although most people do. i wont get too much into my personal life because thats not really the point, but ive known lots of people who probably qualify for a cluster b diagnosis, and i find i often get along better with them than “regular” people.

Horrible,i hate dark raiden(always have,sorry to me its a cop out and a cheap way of writing his darker traits. I hate when a character has to become "evil" to show dark traits. Or worse have an external factor to contribute to said darkness,ugh). I hate hate how raiden sounds. No offense to Richard epcar fans but he doesn't sound like raiden to me. He just sounds like Joseph joestar. (I love him but not for this character. Not rai). I hate how he basically had to do a dbz fusion dance with liu kang to defeat a mediocre villain. Which btw was easier to beat with shang tsung than liu kang. And liu is supposed to be easy in every mk game ive played. Which for the past how many years i have never had any problems playing liu kang,like at all. Legit shang tsung is so damn easy to play.

Raiden is relatively easy and so is kung lao. Sindel is embarrassingly easy to play,oof.

But yeah. Raiden's character consulting every five damn seconds with the elder gods is annoying af. The real raiden wouldn't have a need to unless and absolute crisis. But even then he has faith in his warriors. Thats the difference between the real og raiden,and legit any other raiden before mk9(minus crappy dark raiden,sorry not sorry) and mk11 raiden.

Plus i hate how unemotional they make raiden. That's not how he's supposed to be. In fact. That's quite the opposite of how he is.

Its like NRS is trying to make raidens character unlikable so we should like his younger brother more when thats horrible. Because raiden n fujin go hand n hand and never separated.

Fujin is his equal and brother. And should be treated as such. But he isn't. The only difference between them is one does things in an introverted way and the other extroverted. One is the carefree young bro and the other protective and caring older bro. Thats legit it! Its not the fucking hard to comprehend.

Yet NRS,completely forgot that. And shat on the ogs work and lore.

But then again they wanna be the next hot thing to the *shivers* mcu. Like its disturbing.

Like also not to mention,there was more gameplay in aftermath than the main story. I felt like i was watching a movie instead of playing an actual game.

That's annoying af. Like i absolutely about fell asleep while playing. That's how annoying it was.

Aftermath is clearly the stronger of the two archs. And genuinely ngl. Solely because of shang tsung,fujin and nightwolf. Especially shang tsung. Come fucking on its cary hiroyuki tagawa ffs! How can you not!?

But also fujin and nightwolfs contribution to that arch was amazing too.

Like fr. I wish the whole game was about those three.

It would be way fucking better than whatever crap they were trying to sell before shang came back.

Shang tsung single handedly made mortal kombat interesting.

To get rid of him is not good. But its also bad when this one asshole(i say that lovingly shang darling) is your only one thing keeping you afloat story wise.

How bad does your games storyline gotta be when the dlc og villain is the best thing about your game? Shang tsung legit was the saving grace of mk11.

okay i know nobody asked but dsmp hp houses in 2021 (guys if i get aggressive its just for emphasis and drama and because i am unecessarily passionate about harry potter houses in the year of our lored 2021

so look,, im incliend to believe that hp should lean more towards traits that are valued by the person, not entirely towards what they exhibit. that’s why we get hermione who is smart and textbook ravenclaw, but values the gryffindor qualities more. and peter pettigrew literal coward in gryffindor. but who fucking knows who fucking cares

Shadow Moon Challenge

Hello! I’m Simbones! *waves*

I created this challenge as I never play with Vampires anymore and I thought it would be great idea to combine general gameplay with Vampire generations.

This challenge is based on the same style of the Not So Berry challenge, which I love and I enjoy the general layout so I wanted to create a similar style challenge but with Occults. You don’t have to stick to any colours for this Challenge, I just wanted to keep the format the same. If you haven’t already, you can check out the NSB Challenge here.

RULES:

There are some notes on some Gen rules, I have tried to explain as much as I can, but ultimately how you play this challenge, story wise is up to you.

Gender is not specific to any Generation, apart from Gen 2, where you must birth a son, a ‘male heir’ this will be the first born male. This ‘heir’ however is a false heir and will not be the heir to the next generation, Gen 3.

If a sim specifies that they have a coven, you must make a coven using the GTW group feature. You may put whoever in this coven, the only rule is that they vampires.

If another occult is mentioned in a Gen, e.g A Witch, give them the Vampire occult.

Money cheats can be used, but only to purchase a Gen’s first home, this must be realistic however, especially if they have money tasks in their rules.

If their is no career specified for a gen, you can choose if they have a career or not, such as the vampire aspiration gens.

Explanations:

Bloodline - a direct descendant of your selected sim.

Pureblood - a ‘true’ vampire, a sim that has not been turned, but is a descendant from vampire parents.

Coven - A group of vampires using GTW Clubs. If a sim specifies that they have a coven, you must make a coven using the GTW Club feature. You may put whoever in this coven, the only rule is that they are vampires.

So I’m just boutta spout my own Pop lore for shits and giggles because I think it’s fun

So basically, my version goes: Back, way back, wayyyy back, basically pangea of the world, more or less ruled by the gods almost completely. The gods back then are as egotistical and kinda funny as they are now, but there were a lot more active gods back then. And, more or less, were all in a hurry to populate the planet with their own ideal creatures. And it's all in good fun at first, however head god of course, thinks that the humans are the most ideal, and above all others, because he made them. The other gods kind of model their own a bit after his because they dont want to rock the boat too much.

For a while the species are free to mingle and be happy, but eventually gods get tired of kissing up to head honcho, and decide to make their own singular magic super thing to kick the gods ass. God throws a hissy fit, and starts killing all the creations except the humans, unfortunately largely succeeding. But super whomstever decides to stop this by snapping the pangea apart and creating the islands, sealing the gods on one island, and getting an island of their own, making it float, and becoming the original poptropica island, and taking remaining extra species up with them, to create a thriving island in the sky. Unfortunately, this caused a lot of strain on the super, and they're dying slowly. But thats very slow in human years, so they have time to pop out kids. A LOT of kids, that each carry different parts of their traits.

Superbeing eventually dies but its kin are left behind. But its blood lives on, even if slowly getting watered down. Travel and stuff happens, more watering down, and eventually that leaves with the today floating islanders. They are still highly diverse, but largely are more humanoid. However the blood of the superbeing never went away, and usually it shows itself at the age of five, creating physical attributes, but ones that are actually usable and not just physical are quite rare. Somewhere along the lines, it became a tradition to name your child after the attributes they get, and wait to name them until they show up, likely a tradition to honor the superbeing in way of the rest of the world forgetting it.

Now onto modern beings

So, just before the being died, they basically said "Hey don't hate the other islands and humans for what the god did, in fact I want you guys to go and help them when you get the chance to make sure that they hopefully don't become like the gods." then promptly died. Islanders basically went "Aight" and set about making flight to get down there. They took a bit, but eventually they made damn good reliable blimps and stuff, and started an organization dedicated to the betterment of man. Unfortunately for them by that point, people had already started a hate of people unlike them, and began a rise of supervillains. So the organization focused on that instead but still taught people to beat humans with a stick of kindness to teach them better.

The organization only grew, and things kept expanding until modern day, theres actually a reason the poptropicans go jumpy flippy everywhere. Because pretty much all adults get into the organization, and they naturally teach their kids lots of cool shit and teach them how to be good at fighting and moving around, until they more or less evolved to be built to learn how to make jumping over a 6 foot man look easy as pie. Blimp flying is also mandatory to be taught, to the point kids are pretty much flying on their own by the age of 9 or 10. However with the organization, theres also a lot of deaths, and that causes an orphan system to be placed.

The kids are given free housing and food and stuff, and given a guardian to watch them, weather the guardian lives with them or not is their choice. But if the kid wants extra money for extra things that their guardian doesn't want to get them, they usually have to do small, menial missions assigned by the organization.

Now a lot of these kids are just. So completely confident in themselves, and go off on their own to do these things even though their guardian is supposed to accompany them. Usually it turns out fine, in any case, and if they prove themselves, usually by way of tests and medallions (kind of like a universal big thank you, almost a less meaningful key to the city type thing) they strike out on their own officially.

The 20's had amazing music and the amount of rebellion the ladies had was just yes (cutting their hair short af, going to speak easys, not giving a fuck what society says and wearing oh so scandalous clothing for the time oh hell yeahhhh) (but also majorly bad racism and sexism so uh yeah not my favorite here either) the 50's the clothes! The music! (yet again nopes for alot of reasons) and for my final answer here i think im gonna culster the 70's-90's just for the music and how much of it is still so well known and its just amazing the rock, grunge and punk just all at its prime just ugh yes 😂 also the CLOTHING IS JUST I WANT BACK PLEASE BRING BACK (talking the alternative/ "hippy" looks)

Cutsie- what makes you happy- theres alot here ummm... lets see... animals (especially baby animals), having somebody remember something totally random about me/ something we talked about years ago, crafting/ diy projects, ittsy bittsy things that are normally huge for instance tiny pumpkins oh my god i love tiny pumpkins, when things just fit perfectly in something like no extra room, no over spill just. Perfect., walking in the forest with no idea where im going just adventuring, finding weird lil trinkets/ shiny things, art, seeing ppl do nice things for other ppl, (this list is getting way too long ahhh) and i think im gonna add one last thing hugs from just the right person :)

Dovey- any paranormal/magical experiences- im not really sure but when i was lil younger i used to have things just fly off my shelves for absolutely no reason (i almost had a cereal box hit me in the face because of it) and im pretty sure it was sleep paralysis butttt my dead aunt was hovering over me telling me to find who killed her (i was told she died from a brain aneurysm but after that idk man) (oh also bonus i have a painting that weve had in the house for over 20 years and one day it ripped alot and after that i started getting hella bad nightmares and was waking up at 4am every single day until i patched it up so ima go with its haunted but i love it so it may stay)

Okay I know that kingdom hearts has a bad reputation for sticking crucial plot information on obscure spinoff games but HOLY SHIT I just finally watched a lets play of the fuckin digimon tcg game and found out it ACTUALLY HAS A GODDAMN CONCLUSION TO ANALOGMAN FROM DIGIMON WORLD 1

like 90% of the damn game has no plot whatsoever let alone indicating its a digimon world sequel! and then suddenly in the last battle without being foreshadowed whatsoever analogman returns and gets possibly the best boss battle ever IN A GODDAMN TCG GAME

holy shit his whole fight is framed as ‘this is literally the same guy from digimon world 1, hacking another game’, the interface wigs out and a bunch of fake command windows pop up with rapidly scrolling code of the game supposedly falling apart. And then his boss battle flips the entire gameplay system on its head by giving him fourth wall breaking special moves that pull overpowered effects by “hacking the engine”, with cool animations to fit. Fuckin badasssss!!

and it also fuckin FINALLY EXPLAINS THE DAMN PLOT LIKE GEEZ

digimon world’s conclusion was so rushed, you never even meet the villain until the final battle and it ends all weird with just “something” going wrong that causes him to get sucked into a portal or something while screaming dramatically in weirdly high resolution terror faces??? the tcg game confirms that this was him attempting to flee back to the human world after you defeated him, but one of the stray attacks from the battle damaged his machine and it caused him to essentially commit accidental suicide when he turned it on.

and HOLY SHIT MY FUCKIN OBSCURE HEADCANON IS TRUE????

the game had some sequel bait hints that maybe analogman is somehow still around and that the portal explosion just turned him into “corrupted data” so he can never return to the human world. and i always thought it would be super ironic if he actually got turned into a digimon aka the thing he hates more than anything

WELL OKAY I GUESS CRITICAL LORE IN A TCG GAME IS OKAY WHEN ITS A BIG YES BUNNI U THEORY BE CORRECT

he appears in this game as a malomyotismon who does a damn good vexen face during the fight, lol. And he’s all “gahh that stupid kid ruined my plans but this accursed body at least improved my hacking abilities!” Tho its implied that his corrupted state is more like a bodyless cloud of data that can possess/copy different digimon, which would be REALLY FUCKIN CRITICAL to explaining the goddamn plot of Digimon World Next Order!

Seriously wtf is up with this series? Digimon World 2 is not the sequel to Digimon World 1, all the numbered games are entirely separate individual stories with wildly different genres from pet sim to roguelike strategy. The real sequel is fucking DIGIMON THE CARD GAME THE GAME and then Digimon World Next Order a bazillion years later for the ps4. In which i am STILL REALLY SALTY that they have a FUCKIN RAD remix of analogman’s boss theme yet he doesn’t appear in the game. The added context of this damn tcg game confirms once and for all that the Ambiguous As Fuck Ending actually WAS him appearing in the game, this unexplained “oh wait the villain was good all along and he was just possessed by an evil virus” was supposed to be corrupted-digi-analogman and seriously WHY DONT THEY JUST FUCKIN EXPLAIN IT!!! this tcg game wasnt even released in europe!! and even american fans probably had no clue it was linked to this entirely separate subseries! You have to friggin piece it together with context clues like the battle music and the fact analogman’s signature mon was machinedramon. I mean vjesus christ Next Order is a litera; sequel with the grown up version of Digimon World’s protagonist as a badass home ec teacher who still defends the digital world in his free time yet you couldnt spare ONE LINE OF DIALOGUE mentioning the name of the villain?? and summarizing the fuckin tcg game everyone missed??? AND CONFIRMING THAT THE VILLAIN IS INDEED MAKING A REAPPEARANCE POSSESSING THIS GUY??? oh god everything makes SENSE, thank you terrible card game adaptation. ehh but i do still love Next Order for making Hiro/Mameo’s canon partner Mamemon, he’s even more badass as this big tough bishie version of himself with a tiny adorable pal that can shoot rocket fists through space and time. (its funny tho cos the DW1 intro movie showed metalmamemon and metalgreymon and the american boxart flipped a coin and decided metalgreymon must have been the one the protagonist was using in that scene. Whoops!)

anyway even with the added context that IT WAS INDEED GODDAMN ANALOGMAN, the final boss fight in Next Order was as terrible as the rest of the plot. So I’m glad trash gramps got a suitably badass boss fight after all, even if it was a CARD GAME VERSION! lets all celebrate the awesomeness of this obscure fuckin spinoff game’s obscure fuckin intercontinuity cameo with the boss fight music that other game wasted

seriously fuckin hell the biggest challenge in that final boss was that i was so distracted by SHEER OFFENDEDNESS at the cool music not matching it that it was hard to keep focused

its not just a great boss theme for a terrible boss, its a really fuckin EMOTIONAL song for anyone whose childhood was fuckin defined by the first game!!!

and look you had a PERFECT FUCKIN EXCUSE for a REALLY GOOD boss battle against MY MAN GRUMPY GRANDPA OF THE COOL DAMN NAME. Seriously guys analogman was THE FIRST digimon villain! digimon world came out before the anime, digimon world was the BETA FOR THE ANIME! this was the first place they had the ideas for file island, so much of the areas in the game are awkwardly mistranslated versions of stuff that would later appear in the anime in a different form. before this digimon had never been anything more than a fuckin 2-bit graphics tamagotchi and this was (after the manga) only the second goddamn time these monsters had an actual full colour character design! all of those charmingly janky 90s gross out show styled tcg illustrations? that was concept art that this game was working from! fuckin hell this game thought up the idea for metalgreymon’s changed design that ended up becoming the iconic partner of tai in the anime. (you can also see beta tai in the manga with a beta veemon as a partner instead! o_O)

man god i didnt expect a fuckin TCG GAME to revive my righteous fury from back when i first played that piece of shit. i hate it cos Next order is so pretty and its gameplay is so good and i really loved my twin digis but there were SO MANY bugs and cut corners and missing content and really bad writing and GOD it made me so sad that the dub team really really tried, they tried so hard that they got fuckin renamon’s original voice actress back even though the renamon in this game has nothing to do with the anime one. THE DUB WAS REALLY GOOD BUT IT COULDNT SALVAGE THAT SCRIPT!! THE MUSIC WAS REALLY GOOD AND THE ART WAS REALLY GOOD AND THE DIGIMON THEMSELVES WERE MY BEST DAMN FRIENDS FOR THAT MONTH OF MY LIFE BUT THE GODDAMN FUCKIN SCRIPT!!! the postgame was MORE FUN because FINALLY everything opened up like the sandbox of the first game and you could just fuckin hug u digis without being distracted by constant cutscenes butchering your childhood nostalgia

oh! and the female protagonist design! thats another rare good part of that thing! i loved the pixellization effect on her ponytal, way better than the male equivelant having a very ordinary costume design just with a pixel corner taken out of his jacket. also why did the plot never actually make a thing out of that? like you’d think that ‘unlike every other digimon tamer i’ve got this scar of my digitization’ would be a plot point. like they didnt give everyone else a cool pixel squares mark! they could have at least used it as an excuse why the protagonist is the Only Chosen One who can do all this plot shit. or if it was me i would have made it early foreshadowing for the Return Of Business Gramps, like you were partially infected by the Oooo Mysterious Unexplained Digi Virus (seriously why did they not just have ONE SENTENCE explaining its the fuckin original villain returning????) during the prologue and i dunno somehow that gives you powers to break analogman’s control on the digimon he possesses. or maybe the pixel thing is like a tracking device he put on you? or just give that cool design trait to the protagonist of digimon cyber sleuth instead, whose entire plot is that theyre a digimon human hybrid with literaly the power to pixellize themself into computers.

they really fuckin hyped up in all the prelease materials that the digimon world 1 protagonist was gonna be in this game and he’s all grown up now. and then he does NOTHING in the plot except babble exposition and stand around your home base. and has one line about how he’s a badass teacher now and his partner is mamemon but hey we made a bullshit excuse for why his digimon is sealed away and he never gets to fight :<

GETTING TO KNOW THE ACCOUNT :

WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO TAKE ON THIS MUSE : i’ve had hellhound for about 4 years now – she started off as a D&D character for a sci-fi campaign. back then, there was no ‘hellhound’ - just a girl with a gun and a (very different) twin brother. she was an artificer, ironically, with a knack for tinkering and poisonmaking – still just as hard to get along with though, lol. but, yeah - that campaign died out, then a couple years later my friends and i started a blades in the dark campaign. muse for her did not die out, and i really wanted to play her in something, so she became hellhound – an industrial fantasy sniper with smoking hair and a beastly persona. thing is, we haven’t actually played that campaign in like two months. hellhound muse was banging on the walls SCREAMING – and i had no outlet. the idea to make a blog for her sorta... floated through my head at one point. but i’ve made an oc blog before. had a multimuse, a while ago, and it got absolutely no traction, so in low spirits i decided never to try to make an oc blog again! just to stick with my canon blog ive had for five years and let that be that. i made a sort of joking sort of self-deprecating post on that blog about making one for hellhound, assuming folks would scroll past it. instead, @waywardsignns encouraged me to do it and gave me a list of cool blogs to follow, so i decided to give it one last shot. and here we are! i havent been this happy on an rp blog since the early days of my canon when the community was thriving.

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVOURITE ASPECTS OF YOUR CURRENT MUSE : i really love playing with mystery and misconceptions. running this blog in a way where i slowly reveal her past as it comes up naturally in threads was a risky decision, because i had no idea if i was gonna be able to really hook people like i wanted to. i didn’t know if i could make them care! but yeah, i really like being able to focus backstory-wise on the other character and have hellhound’s personality stand up on its own without context. i also just ... i love to play with the rumors, the fear – when muses are scared of her or hate her from the outset because of her reputation (rarely happens but c’est la vie!) that’s my absolute favorite shit. i understand why most muses just treat her like a normal person, but i do wish more people had Opinions and preconceptions on her notoriety upon first interaction. another thing i really enjoy about her is that despite everything, despite the sheer unholy amount of shit she has been through and inflicted upon people, she still loves easily. if she didn’t? like – if the body pile and the sins that make her lungs feel black had snuffed out that trait, i think hellhound would have skewed FULL evil by now. she’s still clinging to this tiny ember that’s kept alive by her brother, by the ghost that manifests in her subconscious. that provides a really interesting contrast to how hard she pushes people away, because it’s kind of a constant push and pull. it also provides an interesting contrast to her anger. which i’d talk about if i wasn’t already pushing the length of this post lol – just one more thing, though: i don’t know everything about her yet. because she’s a character in an ongoing campaign, there are a lot of parts of her lore that i’m still not even clear on, so it’s really fun to be able to find out about her along with everyone else!

WHAT’S YOUR BIGGEST INSPIRATION WHEN IT COMES TO WRITING : i listen to hellhound’s instrumental playlist when i’m writing her a lot. in between threads or campaign sessions, i’ll watch the punisher season 1 or read six of crows – both have characters ( frank castle, obviously, and inej and kaz in soc ) who really resonate with parts of hellhound’s character. for the most part it’s music, though. there are playlists for all the major figures in hellhound’s backstory, all with very different moods. there are three different playlists for hellhound herself. (slaps computer) spotify is Always Open on this bad boy

FAVOURITE TYPES OF THREADS : that’s a great question, i’m not 100% sure yet. like i mentioned previously, i really, really love threads where muses fear or hate hellhound upon meeting her because of her reputation. the public LITERALLY calls her a dog. a beast. so like – when muses share in that, it shows that the mun took the care and time to think about how their character would react to this important lore and it makes me really happy. no loss if they don’t, of course! i’m happy to write with people either way. i also love threads where hellhound’s actual feelings come up beyond her walls. her repressed anger, her grief, her fear of losing people. i don’t think any of those have actually happened yet because she’s SO guarded but... we will get there. i’ve really been enjoying threads where people annoy the shit out of her, because for some Fucking reason she always ends up developing a soft spot for those folks ( @prphyrik‘s vicente and @nclled‘s litho come to mind. ) that ends up evolving into enemies to friends and i get so soft when people hate hellhound at first and then warm up to her over time it’s... so good... threads with muses either very similar to her – violent people, angry people, those who are hell-bent on revenge – are very fun as well. look into that mirror and see yourself motherfukcer

BIGGEST STRUGGLE IN REGARDS TO YOUR CURRENT MUSE : god... hellhound’s always in an INTENSELY UPSET headspace. she hasn’t been happy in like five years. she has pretty severe PTSD. she’s suffered and made people suffer. she’s guarded, violent, and destructively angry all the time, and she can repress in one minute what i have to take like a month to process. it ends up falling into the same issue that method actors face – because she’s a big hyperfixation of mine rn, i’m almost always thinking about her, listening to her music or writing her because i love to do so. i have to immerse myself fully into her mindset in order to play her properly. to an extent it’s cathartic but it’s also a lot to feel this way all the time. i wouldn’t say it’s taking an actual toll in any sense, but it does get kind of exhausting? i gotta remember to force myself to take Breaks sometimes.
