ok so for some reason a lot of fanon content has Izzy as the younger one who gets taken in by Ed for some reason (and don’t get me wrong I love that, the vibes are immaculate) but guys. GUYS. please share my brainwaves for a minute… bc I’m just now thinking of like, a super young Edward Teach getting his first start at sea, and whether they’re already actual pirates or not, Izzy Hands is one of the first real sailors he ever meets and he just thinks he’s SO COOL… they’re both around young adulthood (MAYBE teenagers if we’re getting real cutesy) but Izzy is an older boy, he’s already been on sea for a while, and even though their age + experience gap isn’t actually that much, in Ed’s eyes Izzy is like, Thee Coolest Guy he has ever met in his life. He wants to be just like him ooooohhh he wants to impress him so bad. He desperately wants Izzy to think he’s cool. He follows him around and Izzy acts like he hates it (he doesn’t).

So Ed and Stede are basically AWOL. And the second Badminton is dead—his body is bound to be found eventually, right?

I’m thinking with S2 there will be a big bounty on their heads (but then again as I’m typing this I realize there’s probably bounty on their heads already, at least for Blackbeard anyway). So my headcanon for S2 is:

- Ed is raising hell across the seven seas but gets captured where he learns he and Stede are wanted for the murder of another Badminton and reneging on their Act of Grace ofc

- Stede puts on some art of fuckery to save Ed. And it goes pretty well, Stede in slow-motion leading his crew, sunlight illuminating his slicked back hair and tattered-but-rugged look, Ed gazing on with his bewildered bambi eyes

- … until things inevitably stop going according to plan and Stede fails spectacularly and also gets captured

- at which point Ed has to bust not only himself out but also this bizarre little man (and the crew he marooned) he hates but also loves but also hates and

- ah, whatever, he’ll think it through later

- they manage to get away. And Stede tries to explain but Ed decides no, Ed does not want anything to do with Stede. The only reason you’re alive is what you used to mean to me

- rejeeecteed, Stede leaves Ed be, but some circumstance requires them to work together whether Ed likes it not

- cue some third party (ahem Jemaine Clement as another dashing pirate ahem) taking a liking to Stede and Stede being oblivious to it while Ed notices from day 1 but no, he’s not jealous, fuck off

- ???

- and they lived happily ever after

- or not. We need season 3. David Jenkins said he can envision 3 seasons. Then they can sail off to China
