So the first two are some VERY old drawings- like, I was back in high school kinda drawings. Oof. Sorta hurts to look at it, but whatever. XD The next two plus the dancing one are closer together, though still fairly old, and the Ienzo drawing is one I did literally the other night because I was listening to “soldier” nightcore and OH MY GODS. 

Because, like, Nobodies grow hearts over time? Well, Irene is crushing on Zexion from the start, and she pretty much just sort of annoys him into falling in love with her- though he doesn’t realize it. He just gets angrier and more flustered, until La City de Cloches happens (right before CoM) and he snaps. (Riku witnesses their friendship in the DDD part of the fanfic, or at least will when I’m able to write ti) Also, while I originally planned on them masquerading as gypsies because it’s fanfiction and I can do that, um, I rewatched Book of Life and realized-! BATTLE DANCE MOVES! Which basically inspired the last page because it’s them fighting and doing a team attack. A dancing team attack.

Major Fanfic Spoilers below

Anyway, the whole Irene/Ienzo conflict is that Irene was super freaking in love with Zexion, right? She was happy and sweet, and he was calculative and manipulative and smart, and she knew that, and he knew that, and it worked. But then he died. Lexaeus- bodyguard/father figure- died. Everyone at CoM died. Even Xion. But then Roxas defects. 

Irene tracks Roxas to Twilight Town after he ran away from the Organization in a desperate attempt to bring him back so to avoid his obliteration. In the process she meets Hayner, Pence, and Olette who mention they just met a blond a day or two ago and wish her luck in finding her friend. She learns of the abandoned mansion and encounters “Ansem” at the gate. She asks him about Roxas, but the only response she got in turn was Soul Eater pointed at her face. Irene tries to go about things peacefully, but when he refuses to put his weapon away Irene summons her own and tells him that she won’t go easy on him for hiding her “brother” from her. Irene wins and manages to break into the mansion. 

There she encounters Namine, who is all too aware of who Irene is because of her connection to Roxas and Riku- and therefore her connection to Sora. Namine is surprised, but says that she should have expected Irene to come to the mansion because of how much she cares for Roxas and the other organization members. She then says that she’s always wanted to meet Irene since she found out about her, having learned of her apparent affection towards Nobodies. She explains that Roxas is hidden in a version of Twilight Town DiZ created, but his memories of her were now locked away. 

“Without the memories of Kairi… Sora can’t wake up. He needs Roxas.” 

“So do we! Roxas is my family; I’m not leaving without him!” 

“But… if you take him away, then…” 

“Then he gets to live. I am NOT losing him, too. Just take the memories out of him and put them back into Sora!”

“I… I can’t… it’ll take too much time…”  

Irene storms out and locates the basement, but during that time Namine panics and tries to mess with her memory. Unfortunately, as a Keeper of Heart Irene’s memories can’t be altered as much as a normal person’s and due to that Irene becomes incredibly dizzy. Having made her way to hidden basement Irene encounters DiZ, who mocks her in her state for caring so much for a being that doesn’t even have feelings. Irene snaps at him, saying that he knows nothing about Nobodies and their feelings, and tells him that the bonds between her and the Nobody friends she made are what keep her going. 

“I-I’ve already lost so many… I won’t… let you… take Roxas, too!” 

She summons her staff and goes to attack, but “Ansem” arrives in time to protect DiZ. She goes so far as to call them murderers for trying to remove Roxas from the world, but DiZ merely laughs and says that Roxas shouldn’t have even existed in the first place. This only makes Irene more angry and her attacks against a weary “Ansem” become more wild and frustrated. 

“You know NOTHING! Of them, of the Organization, of the way they treat each other! One may lack a heart… but the feelings are still there! Wh-When they died… when that girl went missing… Roxas cried! And mourned! And hurt!” Knocks “Ansem” back and switches her illusion staff to her own. “Without being there or witnessing any of it… YOU CAN’T UNDERSTAND ANYTHING ABOUT NOBODIES!” 

Goes to swing the staff with a huge surge of light, when Namine started to try and lock up her memories of the Organization- thus causing Irene to fumble. She falls to her knees and begins to panic, knowing SOMETHING was happening to her. Her eyes lock onto the rings and gloves on her hands and she realizes- she couldn’t remember who they were from. A face was starting to fade from her memory, the face of someone very important to her, and she begins to panic- frantically trying to recall the name as she stands and stumbles back into a wall. 

Irene begins screaming when her head begins to throb to the point it felt like her skull was splitting into two. Namine’s powers were starting to fail and Irene was on the verge of recalling Zexion’s name when “Ansem” takes the initiative to knock her out. DiZ decides to place her in the virtual Twilight Town with Roxas, removing all the gear the Org members have given her (including her coat), and had Namine alter both her and Roxas memories enough to where they would coincide. However, Namine could only do so much and was unable to “make” new memories for Irene, only able to lock up the majority of them and edit the details of the remaining few. 

When Irene woke up she remembered nothing except her sibling status with Roxas. Roxas believed Irene to be his sister and the only remaining survivor of the “accident”. She obtained amnesia since the accident and was brought home only recently since she recovered from hospital. He explained that any gaps in her memory could be because of the head injury she sustained, but Irene couldn’t feel much pain at all aside from a light headache. During the seven days Irene behaved overly doting towards Roxas, taking side-jobs from the help wanted boards in an attempt to help support them so Roxas wasn’t doing things on his own anymore. 

Also Struggles with him sometimes to help prepare for the tournament after it gets revealed that she was the one who taught him how to struggle. Is surprised by her own strength. Eventually sometime while hanging up posters for the upcoming struggle match Irene encounters “Ansem” again. He’s just standing there and watching her, and her feeling rather uncomfortable upon noticing him calls him out and tries to strike a conversation. 

“Hey~ random person! How you doing? New in Twilight Town?” No answer. “O-kay… well! You want one of these posters? The tournament’s coming up soon and my little bro’s gonna be fighting in it! Well, I say “little” but he’s like fifteen? Also taller than me, which is lame, but hey! You should come watch! You might enjoy it.” 

“...” 

“No?” 

“Ansem” leaves and Irene is left very confused, but also feeling like she should know that person from somewhere because of the coat. Thinking about it makes the pounding in her skull worse, so she stops focusing on it. More time passes and Irene is at the accessory looking for something to help Roxas out a day before the tournament when she catches sight of the rings. Her head starts to hurt again and she wonders why looking at them hurt her heart so much, and why her fingers suddenly felt so exposed. Leaves the shop, only to crash into “Ansem” again who shoves two rings into her hands. 

“If they’re so important to you, you should try harder not to lose them.”

 Before she could ask what he was talking about he’s gone and Irene is left standing there, staring at the rings in her hands and wondering what he meant by that. She puts on one of the rings and places the other in her pocket, and heads home to get started on another cooking attempt for dinner. Sometime later Roxas comes out of his room- very dazed and confused, not understanding how he got there since he was certain he fell off the clock tower- and after dinner when Irene is putting the dishes away she asks Roxas if he knew why the rings she had were so important to her. 

He’s surprised to see them, having believed they were lost in the accident, and hesitantly tells her that the ring she was wearing was given to her by her boyfriend- the same one that died in the accident- and that the other was the ring she gave to him. Irene’s headache gets worse, but she’s just barely able to recall a face. In the mansion DiZ questions “Ansem”, demanding why he intervened, and “Ansem” responds that those rings in particular were something they should have never taken from her. Later that night Irene winds up in her heart, where she is asked a question and is forced to fight a previous Keeper. 

During the day of the struggle when time freezes and Roxas is forced to fight the dusks, Irene moves to help him only to be dragged away by “Ansem”. Continuously blocking her way, Irene gets frustrated and in her determination to help her “brother” she summons her weapon. There she fights “Ansem”, but just as she starts to win the world unfreezes and he vanishes into a corridor of darkness. Irene is really confused and her weapon disappears, but quickly runs back to the match and is surprised to find everyone cheering- the dusks nowhere to be seen and Roxas apparently victorious against Vivi. The dusks reminded Irene of something and she passes out after focusing too much on it, and recalls pieces of her conversation with Zexion/Lexaeus after she found out the dusks listened to her. 

When the seventh day comes Namine releases the locks on Irene’s memories and the girl goes in desperate search for Roxas, but ends up having to evade the hordes of Nobodies attacking. Memories back she heads to the mansion and finds Roxas just in time, stopping him from calling out to Sora. Roxas apologizes, knowing full well he was causing her and Maria both grief, but tells her about the dreams he had of Sora and that- even if he didn’t want to- Roxas had to do this. So many worlds and people needed Sora. He asks her to respect his decision and to keep smiling,  and then fades into Sora. Irene starts to breakdown and panics when Sora starts to wake, running off in an attempt to hide. Unfortunately she slams right into Goofy and Donald who have just woken up, and is almost instantly mistaken as “Mazy” by Goofy who had last seen Maria when she was a young teen. Irene is instantly confused only to remember Maria’s stories about Goofy and realizes mid-bear hug what was happening. He sets her down, only to notice her eyes were brown instead of hazel and that she WASN’T actually Maria, and apologizes. Then asks why she’s so upset, but Irene quickly changes the subject by bringing up Sora and saying something about how “someone was waking up in the next room” and Donald and Goofy run off to find Sora. 

Irene makes a break for it, but encounters “Ansem” again. He tosses her bag and white coat at her, all her equipment inside, and tells her to “Go”. Rather than grateful she ends up even more confused and mad at him as he was the reason Roxas was now gone, and she didn’t understand why he was helping her so much, but he says nothing and merely vanishes into a Dark Corridor. “What is wrong with that man?” 

Finds a room to hide in and puts her coat on, looking through the bag to find her equipment and is more than alarmed when she finds the bracelet she made for Lexaeus in there. He had worn it to C.O so it should have been there, so why was it in her bag…? Did that man put it there? His weapon looked a little like a keyblade- could he have been the one to kill him? And the photo from Halloween Town with them and Zexion... Irene was just about to open a portal to the castle, ready to resign herself to her fate of having to explain the situation to Maria, when the door slams open and Sora, Donald, and Goofy walk in. 

Gets questioned by Donald and reluctantly answers most of them, when Goofy has a realization like, “I get it! The reason you look like lil’ Mazy is ‘cause yer her other half, isn’t it?” 

Sora is super duper confused and Donald is in disbelief, and Irene is like, “Er, I mean, I am, but the reason we look alike is because we’re sisters??? Not because we’re both Keepers??? Hi??” 

Que Goofy having an excited freak out because holy crap his little Mazy has a little sister he’s so happy for Maria. Asks how she is and what she’s doing, but before Irene could actually answer Donald throws a fit because the King was looking for the other Keeper and she’s right in front of them- they HAVE to bring her along- and Sora is just asking what the heck a “Keeper” is and who “Maria” was. Goofy and Donald explain, then bring up how the Keepers of Heart are supposed to work together with keyblade wielders to free captive hearts, and Sora gets on board with bringing her along because why not?? The more the merrier, right??? And Irene is all types of “Nope” but they aren’t having it. Donald is the most aggressive about it. Irene is cursing her luck as she just wanted to go back to the castle and burrow under the covers like a depressed bunny rabbit. 

And now Irene is even more distraught then before. Maria learns that Sora was in C.O and tries to kill him, and Irene attempts to defend him because Roxas was still in there somewhere- she can feel his light- which causes Maria to call her delusional. Maria, feeling betrayed by Irene, tries to kill HER while Sora is unconscious, and Goofy drags Donald and Sora back to the gummi ship. Irene doesn’t fight, instead keeping a shield up the entire time as Maria is wailing on her, until the woman is exhausted. She tells Irene to get out of her sight and she does, and every now-and-then Maria will appear. To simultaneously check up on Irene, to attack her, and to attack Sora. 

And though Irene hates Sora for stealing Roxas away, she can’t help but also be friends with him. At least... until Demyx dies. Then she snaps, claiming Maria was right all along, and goes after him- only for “Ansem” to intervene. Sora heads farther into Hollow Bastion and Maria attacks him, thus how she gets her chest scar, and Irene nearly kills “Ansem”. She was seconds away from doing it, but then the hood falls down and she can see his eyes... and realizes that he was a person just like her. Like everyone else. And if she killed him... someone who cared for him would be feeling exactly what she was. 

And then “Ansem” won. Her face burned, stomach ripped open and then simultaneously healed/burned shut, he tosses a defeated Irene and Maria somewhere safe where they can talk. And then more org death happens, and the girls are depressed. Luxord was the last for Irene- she couldn’t handle anymore. She gave up and just hid in her old room, even as the castle fell apart. The previous inside her heart eventually opened a light corridor and pulled her through, saving her, and for a long time she just stayed there before accidentally wandering into Destiny Islands where she encounters Riku. Through some things Maria and Irene are able to start working together as sisters and keepers again and make a home in the Radiant Garden castle, helping the restoration committee, until DDD. 

Lea is pretty much the same Axel. The personalities don’t differ that much. But Ienzo? Heck, even Irene? They’re not the same as they were. Irene is depressed, traumatized by all the events that occurred in such a short span of time. She’s still grieving. And for a man with the same face and voice as the one she had loved so wholeheartedly before, only to be so DIFFERENT, appearing before her? it hurts. And she’s conflicted. And she’s scared. 

And while she wants to protect him, to keep him safe and ensure he lives this time around, she also wants to avoid him at any cost. But Ienzo loves her- he was as much as Zexion as Zexion was him. And Lea tries to help her see this, definitely not as patient as Ienzo and being far more annoyed that the tension in the room was so physically painful he wanted to rip his hair because GOD DAMN IT GIRL JUST ACCEPT HIM ALREADY. YOU KNOW YOU LOVE HIM. It isn’t until after Tangled that she does, witnessing Eugene’s death. 

Also Riku feels massive guilt over killing Zexion, especially after becoming friends with Irene (poor girl unaware he was “Ansem”), and witnessing their interactions in La City de Cloches during his exam. 

The songs “Haven’t Had Enough” “All to Myself” and “Who Do You Love” by Marianas Trench fit  Irene/Ienzo pretty well, actually. Especially if you imagine the PoV shifting back and forth. “Soldier” is more Irene/Zexion to Irene/Ienzo, but... yeah. XD I’m weak, okay? I’m sorry. I love torturing characters.

Maybe another part for it's ok. Where daughter reader is a teenager and gets in an accident where she has forgot everything besides living with her biological parents. So she is scared a lot and can't deal with everything that has changed.

You were walking to school on a beautiful sunny day and ran into a man who looked like he was beaten up. You ran over to the man and helped him up, but after you did, a searing pain went through your head. You clutched your head and moaned out in pain. The man who you helped looked at you and smirked. 

“Now, it’ll be easier for me to summon Kingdom Hearts,” he said. 

“S-summon what?” you asked. 

“You’ll find out soon enough.” You felt a wave a dizziness run through you and you passed out.

“I just got a call from the school. Apparently, (Y/N) never made it to school,” Xion said as she holding her 3 month old son in her arms. 

“What? How can that be? We live super close to the school,” Roxas said. 

“I think something bad happened to her.” 

“I think so too. We should go find her.” 

“I’ll go call Lea so he can babysit Ruki.” While Xion was calling Lea, Roxas was thinking of all the possible situations for your disappearance. 

“Please be okay, (Y/N),” he muttered.

You woke up, seeing that you were not in Radiant Garden with your parents. In fact, you only remembered your biological parents. You looked around, confused and heard the door open. You saw the man who you saved earlier walk in. 

“Hey, kiddo. How ya feelin’?” he said. 

“I-I’m okay. What happened yesterday?” you said. 

“Ahh. You see, your parents were treating you so horribly that I saved you from them.” 

“Oh. Well, thank you.” 

“You’re welcome, kiddo. Want to get something to eat?” You nodded and followed him into the kitchen. 

“Whatcha wanna eat? I got spaghetti, pancakes, anything you want,” he said.

“Um, can I have (Fave food) please?” you asked. 

“You got it kiddo!” He got the materials out and started cooking. 

“Um, I hope I’m not being rude but um, why do you wear that coat and have your hood on?” you asked. 

“Oh, you’re not being rude, kiddo. I wear this to protect myself from the darkness,” he said.

“Huh?” 

“You see, there are these monsters called Heartless. They are a part of the darkness. And the only way to destroy those monsters is using a weapon called the Keyblade.” 

“A Keyblade. Sounds cool.” 

“It is cool! Maybe you can defeat some of them.”

“Me?! I-I don’t think I can.” 

“Oh sure you can! I can teach you how, if you want.” 

“Really?! Sweet!”

“Alright, Bon Appetit!” He handed you your food and it looked amazing. You took a bite and it was amazing too. The two of you ate together while getting to know each other as well. 

“So naive. Pretty soon, she’ll be able to open Kingdom Hearts.”

“She’s not at the ice cream shop. Where can she be?” Roxas said. 

“I don’t know. But, I’m getting more worried by the second,” Xion said. 

“I know. We’ll find her. I promise.” Suddenly, Roxas’s phone started to ring. He grabbed his phone and answered it.

“Hey, Roxas!” It was Sora!

“Sora! Have you found (Y/N) yet?” Roxas asked.

“No. But I do have a clue.” 

“A clue?” Xion asked. 

“I was talking with Even and Ienzo and someone had hacked into their computer system. On the computers, there was a message saying, ‘may the Princess of Light open the portal to Kingdom Hearts’. I think it has something to do with (Y/N).”

“‘Portal to Kingdom Hearts’? Is someone trying to open Kingdom Hearts?” Roxas asked. 

“Most likely. Sorry that this is not enough, but I’ll let you know when I find more.”

“Thanks, Sora. We owe you one,” Xion said. 

“Anytime.” Sora hung up the phone and Roxas put his phone away. 

“What did he mean by ‘Princess of Light’?” Xion asked. 

“I don’t know. But we need to find out soon,” Roxas said. 

“Should we go to Master Yen Sid?” 

“I think we should. I’ll let Sora know what he says.” The two of them then went to Master Yen Sid’s to see what he had to say.

“Concentrate. Think of the Keyblade,” The MoM said as he observed you. You thought of what the Keyblade would look like. You felt something come into your hand and saw that it was a Keyblade. 

“I did it! I actually did it!” you said with a big smile on your face. 

“Good job, kiddo!” the MoM said. The two of you continued to train till you were tired and hungry. After you had dinner, it was time for bed. 

“Night, kiddo. I’ll see you in the morning,” he said. 

“Night.” The MoM closed the door and went to his office. 

“That girl is so naive. Pretty soon, the portal to Kingdom Hearts will be complete and then this whole universe shall be drowned in darkness. All it takes is her precious memories and that pathetic heart of hers,” he said. He looked down at the Book of Prophecies and saw the picture of a girl holding your keyblade standing in front of the door to Kingdom Hearts wearing a beautiful outfit.

“Let the destruction begin,” he said.

“Hmmm, quite peculiar. A Princess of Light. I feel like I’ve heard of that before,” Master Yen Sid said. 

“What can we do? I’m scared that it might hurt our daughter,” Xion said. 

“Follow me.” Roxas and Xion followed the master down the halls of his tower.

“When I was a boy, there was a legend called the Sun Ghost. Apparently, she had the power to open up portals using her Keyblade that resembled the sun,” he said. 

“What does that have to do with (Y/N)?” Roxas asked. The three of them entered the library and he found an old book. He opened the book and showed Roxas and Xion who this Sun Ghost was.

“It looks like (Y/N) almost,” Xion said. 

“Yes. I have a feeling that whoever is making (Y/N) this Princess of Light, has ties to the Sun Ghost,” the master said. 

“We need to do something. This person wants our daughter open Kingdom Hearts and we need to stop them before they do.”

“Well, I can’t let you two go.” 

“What?! Why not?!” Roxas asked. 

“The two of you have a son and if the two of you don’t make it back, it’ll break that poor boy’s heart.” 

“He’s right, Roxas. We need to protect Ruki,” Xion said. 

“Yeah, alright. Who’re you gonna send?” 

“I shall send Sora. I feel like he will be able to locate your daughter and save her.”

“Guys! I found out where (Y/N) is!” Sora said over the phone.

“Really?! Where is she?” Roxas asked. 

“She’s in a world called Daybreak Town. Master Yen Sid filled me in on my mission so you don’t have to explain it to me.” 

“Okay. Please bring her home. We miss her so much,” Xion said. 

“I will.” Sora hung up the phone and Xion started crying. 

“Baby, please don’t start crying. It breaks my heart to see you that way,” Roxas said as he hugged Xion. 

“I’m sorry. It’s just all so overwhelming,” she said. 

“Shh, it’s gonna be okay. I have faith in Sora.” 

“I know you do. I have faith in him too.”

Sora had arrived in Daybreak Town and started his search for you. He looked in all of the shops and homes but no sign of you. 

“This place is so pretty. I wonder why no one lives here anymore,” he said. 

“Because they’re all dead.” Sora turned around and saw the MoM.

“Who’re you?! Are you with the Organization?!” Sora asked. 

“Me? Naw, I was here longer than the Organization. I created these jackets long before they did,” the MoM said. 

“What did you to (Y/N)?”

“Why would you want to know? Are you her father?” 

“No, I’m her uncle and her parents are worried for her. I know what you’re planning on doing and I’m not gonna let that happen.” Sora summoned his Keyblade and pointed it at the MoM. 

“We’ll see about that,” the Mom said. He summoned a group of heartless and disappeared through a Dark Corridor. He reappeared back to you (wearing one of the outfits above) and you were looking at the unfinished door to Kingdom Hearts. 

“Are you sure that I’m ready for this?” you asked. 

“Of course. It’s the only way to get rid of the Heartless for good,” he said.  

“(Y/N), don’t do this!” You and the Mom turned around and saw Sora run up to you. 

“What? How were you able to defeat them?” the MoM growled. 

“I don’t have to tell you that,” Sora said. 

“Dad, who is this?” you asked. Sora was shocked. What did he do to you?

“(Y/N), it’s me. Uncle Sora. Come on, we used to play together when you were a kid.”

“Don’t listen to him. He just wants to take your happiness away,” the MoM said. 

“That’s not true. (Y/N), this man wants the whole universe to fall into darkness and only you have the power to do so. If you go with him, then you may never see light again,” Sora said. You felt torn. You felt like you knew this Sora person but at the same time you didn’t. Hearing the two men argue about your decisions became too much and you screamed in pain and agony.

“(Y/N)!”

•Cleo, even though it’s not her ideal career, worked at a desk job that payed well in order to support the little family they formed. Not saying that’s all she did for Audri, not at all! If she was needed by Audri, Cleo would drop everything to tend to her. She would accept every gift and proudly wear it or hang it up for everyone to see, giving her gifts & praise to try to make sure she knows she’s loved very much.

Audri’s health & safety is her top priority & willing to do anything to ensure it, wither it be a stern talk or a fist fight. That being said when Audri is sick even if it’s not major, won’t be allowed to lift even a finger in fear of making it worse & losing her.

While growing up Audri understood that work was important & usally left her to work when she worked from home but would stop in to drop off small gifts she made, coffee, or even a peaceful rest with the help of her colourful friends before their home fell & Audri vanished.

#2- Zeke Maiyu: Her Uncle ZeZe

In the early years Audri was home schooled due to all the possible illnesses she could get in public schools & private school being to expensive. So since he worked completely from home, Zeke became her teacher during the weekdays & taught her things benifeical to her like reading, writing, cooking, health, as well as things that interested her like astrology & flowers.

They would have days where they would leave home to learn outside or just to play. Audri would alway wonder out of eyesight, (which was easy with technically one eye on you)(sorry not sorry) but never to hard to find again if you followed her giggles or her friends.

Isa/Saïx

“I-Isa! Lea took off with Prof.Hoots again!”

“Don’t worry Audri, I’ll bring the Professer back & try to knock some sense into that dummy before your mother does..”

•The days she was allowed outside, she’d either go to the castle or look for her older friends who honestly play more of an older sibling role in Audri’s life, with Isa taking a more caring & mature sibling place, while Lea takes a teasing/bully but still fun & kind sibling role.

She bonded with Isa the quickest due to their love of the night, as well as to her, He was more comforting to be around since his personality is something she’s grown up with compared to her other ‘big brother’ Lea, who is much louder & competive. Not to say she dislikes his loud personality, just odd when it’s not her being the only extrovert anymore.

•Months after the fall Saïx would be the one to find her at the doors of Castle Oblivion with a large scar over her front & her once sparkling eyes dulled. Her body somehow survived & became a nobody.

She’d be seen at the start clinging to the back his coat as he was the first she saw & most familiar to her memory wise at the time. Although not an official member, she was given a new name, Aidrux & once more independent, missions.

Even though he became colder over time, he still took his brotherly role seriously with what little hearts he had over the years, just as she once more memories came back would care & help him as much as she was able. She’d stay by his side more once Axel started to stray away from them for Roxas & Xion.

Ienzo/Zexion

Ahh the extrovert adopts the introvert~ good quality content with that right there ANyway

“-And then we can make a super big flower like the book with the bean stalk and we’ll touch the stars!”

“Anything is possible when it’s you & me!!”

“Thought it ‘wasn’t plausible’. Remember?”

•With the tendency to explore unsupervised, it would’ve been only a matter of time before these two would meet. despite the tough shell Ienzo had, instead of breaking it with trying to make him talk, she waited for him to hatch on his own accord, by bringing small books or art supplies to work on silently with a few comments here & there. She knew forcing him to talk would only make it harder.

In time he did start talking although not by much, but enough to hold a conversation which made Audri practically shine when she heard him talk. The small talks the had honestly funny if you were able to hear them, from plans of the future to multi-coloured animals, they’ve talked about it all almost.

•Zexion was a big change to Aidrux once she remembered, but that didn’t mean she didn’t try over the years. Whether it be old books or the small remark there, she tried & forunatly so did he. With illusions of flower fields & cheeky statements, they became close again, well as close as you could get with no hearts anyway.

•Once whole again they weren’t really sure what to do with the sudden massive rush of emotions that filled them when they met up again, it scared both of them to the point they avoided one another for a while till that feeling became unbearable.

They can’t think of the right word to label their relationship but they know they care about eachother differently compared to the others, but not quite love..

But maybe in time it will.

Xemnas

•Oddly enough? He felt kinda safe to her even after she remembered he was the reason she was nobody. He didn’t mind her presence really, she was useful & benifited the Orginzation.

But, something remembered her, and not from when he was an apprentice no. Something before that, but what?

As for people she dislikes/hates/uncomfortable with?

•As a child she never felt completely comfortable with Braig, there were the rare times she felt okay but never completely. To this day she still isn’t sure why, but she’ll get an idea why soon.

•During KH2 hands down for a time, H A T E D Sora, as far as she knew, he was trying to stop them from getting their hearts back, stopping her from being with her family. (Id be mad to if banana shoes over here started basically destroying years of planning/ work) She knows the truth now, but being near him all alone still sparks some negative feelings.

•As childish as it is, any man with yellow eyes. She doesn’t remember completely how she got to RG but knows that a male with those eyes took her there & feeling scared.

We know Ansem, and possibly the crew, experimented on people even before BBS. Let's say the members of the castle squad, except for sweet baby Ienzo because pre-BBS, find out that their crush is also a subject of experimentation. How would they each react when Ansem, their lord and boss, forbids them to confess to their crush? Who would listen begrudgibgly? Who would do it anyway? Would they do something else?

Braig, Dilan, Even, and Aeleus Reacting to their Crush being an Experiment of Ansem’s 

(what a title)

Braig

Braig found out that you were part of the experiments when he went to annoy Ansem, as one does, and talk to him after he was done with the day; finding you alone in a lab was not part of that idea. 

You flinched when he startled you, relaxing when you saw it was him, before running to him, asking him to take you out of the lab. 

Ansem told Braig a couple of days before that you didn’t appreciate his advances to you, blatantly lying so that Braig would stay away from you. 

Has Braig ever listened??? Nope; once he saw you, covering yourself in some towel that was in this lab, he was enraged, but stayed calm for your sake, taking note of your fear and clinging onto him. 

He’s possessive and if a bitch wants to fight he’ll fight- you’re not gonna get hurt because of a blonde dude

He takes you out of the lab, silently sneaking around before you were far enough away from the castle for you to break down, clinging onto him even tighter while he silently comforted you. He leads you through the silent town before you were able to get to your sister’s house, still holding onto Braig.

Braig stayed with you, making sure that you were comfortable after everything that happened; Braig knew about the experiments, but if he knew it would have been on you, he would not have been as chill with it. 

He confessed to you while you laid on his chest, calming yourself while he quietly talked, before you pulled him down for a rougher kiss, silently returning the feelings. Braig had a few choice… Actions with Anesem the next day. 

Dilan

Dilan finds out after Braig told him about Ansem starting to act weird, seeming to stay much more private about the activities in his private lab, not even letting Ienzo sit in with him. 

He didn’t think much of it at first, always finding Ansem to be a bit weird, before he noticed that he wasn’t able to see you as much as usual, and once he was discussing it with the other guardsmen, Ansem told him to stop trying to see you, that it would ruin his plans. 

That was a foolish move on Ansem’s part; that was a bad idea to just tell one of the strongest men he had met that he wasn’t allowed to see someone he deeply cared about. 

He ignored Ansem with every string in his being, finding you after a couple of days, pulling you aside with him in the gardens. 

Dilan noticed that you seemed more bottled up, avoiding eye contact and wrapping your arms around yourself tightly before he pulled you in front of him, leading you to look at him by playing a finger under your chin. 

He saw your tears in your eyes, threatening to stream down your face, before he gently asks you what had been going on, letting your walls break down to hold you against him 

“Please, don’t take me back there! Don’t make me go back!” You sobbed into him, his rage only growing at seeing you in this state. 

“I do not intend on doing so,” He quietly reassured you, kissing your forehead before taking you to your brother’s house, the rage bubbling over in him the next day. To say he exploded on Ansem is an understatement. He explained what he knew to your brother while you asked him to stay with you a little longer before you softly kissed him, returning the silent feelings between the two of you. 

Even

Even found out in the worst way he could have believed; Ienzo running to him, crying out of fear, telling Even that Ansem was doing something scary, clinging onto him while Even attempted to calm Ienzo down. Once Ienzo mentioned you, however, Even took it a little more seriously; he knew that experiments could sometimes scare Ienzo, but never like this. 

Even kept it in mind, talking to Ansem the Wise about it, asking him if he knew what Ansem was doing. When Ansem the Wise told Even that he was being secretive about it, it caused him to start to get irritated at him; their work wasn’t to be hidden from each other. 

Even noticed the way you began to coward away from Ansem, even with Even around, before Ansem mentioned in passing to EVen that any feelings he might of had for you should be dismissed.

That didn’t sit well with him, making Even want to find you more while he had an internal war about everything that he was beginning to learn. 

The next time he saw you, he saw the distinct bruises of IV’s and the cuts around your wrist from something restraining you. That was the final straw for him, granted he had like three straws, directly asking you what had been going on after he was able to pull you into town, completely away from the castle, disguised as an errand for Ansem the Wise

You pulled yourself against him, resting your head against his chest in a direct attempt at a hug, his arms wrapping around you before he silently kissed your cheek, a soft comfort which admitted his feelings for you, for you to kiss him on his lips with a burning passion, as if you were afraid to lose him.

He listened to you, hearing your silent pleads for him to believe you, while he listened to everything. Even could get irritated, but it took a lot to actually make him wrathful, and this was it. This is what caused him wrath. 

Even took you to your best friends house, telling her what had happened and apologizing to you for not noticing before; once he returned to the castle, however, that was when his wrath was fully shown.  

Aeleus

Aeleus ends up finding out because he noticed you staying more away from everyone, wearing heavier and bigger clothes while staying away from him

He thought he did something wrong, quietly talking to Dilan about it, before Ansem overheard, telling Aeleus to stay away from you and that it was none of his concern

That did not sit well with anyone who heard that; Do you really think someone that Aeleus could literally snap in half would stop him? 

He thought about it for a few more nights, thinking about your body language while also thinking about the sudden change in attire for you, taking note of your sudden abstances and fearful glances at Ansem. 

Aeleus was able to pull you aside one night, asking you what had been happening, for you to break down and cling onto him for dear life, hastily telling him while he held onto you, wiping your tears and listening intently. 

That also did not sit well with him; it infuriated him. It takes a lot for him to get actually livid, and seeing you like this was one of those things. 

Aeleus took you away from the castle, leaving you with a close female friend that he knew was unknown to Ansem, making sure you’re safe before taking care of you gently; helping you around while he notes how many bruises and where iv’s were, while you clung onto him, his touch comforting and warm, a sudden and accepted change to how you had been feeling for the last few weeks. 

He admitted his feelings to you while he helped you around, softly telling you before you pulled yourself to him, hugging him tightly and returning his feelings, finally feeling calm after the last few weeks that could only be described as hell. 

Once he got to the castle, returning with your absence, his stoic demeanor was completely forgotten

Imbroglio

Initially written as a joke based on this post, people have asked me to continue it as an actual fic and... someday I will, I love Isa with all my heart

“Where’s Lea? He’s running late.”

Isa scrunched his nose up. I didn’t know if it was because of the mediocre coffee they served at some café Lea recommended us, or due to my question, but when he turned to me with a grimace I got my answer.

“Nevermind.” I sighed and propped my elbows on the table with my own cup in hands. I blew on it until I thought it was cold enough, then burnt my tongue as soon as I sipped. “Fuck this. Lea’s not coming, again , why are we still here?”

He frowned down at his cup. “The movie doesn’t start for another hour.”

“Fuck that too. I’m not in the mood anymore.” I grunted and left some munny in the table beside my full cup, then went to stand up, only to be held back by Isa holding my wrist. I felt my eyes starting to burn, so I kept my eyes away from him.

“Let’s go to my place then. We can watch something on Netflix, stop somewhere to buy junk food.”

I sighed as he moved his hand down to intertwine his fingers with mine. “Only if we buy some alcohol too. I’m thinking tequila shots.”

“Just beers. We’re not getting wasted, we have class tomorrow.”

I pouted as I finally turned to face him. He raised an eyebrow, as if daring me to retort. I scoffed and pulled at his hand. “Fine. Let’s get going before I find my common sense and buy that bottle of tequila behind your back.”

“Is he hiding somewhere around here?” I looked around his apartment as soon as I walked in.

He glanced at me amused as he kicked the door close. I pointed towards the couch and squinted my eyes.

“He’s going to jump out from behind the couch, isn’t he?”

“He didn’t even come home last night.”

I frowned as I turned towards Isa. “Really?”

“Or the night before that.” He murmured as he walked past me with the plastic bags, as if he didn’t want me to hear him.

“Wait, wait, wait. What? ”

He scoffed as he dropped the bags on the counter and pulled the beers out to put them in the freezer. “I saw him yesterday after class, he was hanging with those kids from your year.”

“Well… duh, they’ve been friends for years.” I shrugged my shoulders. “I thought you were gonna say he’s been doing drugs with Demyx, or that he’s hanging out with that hot senior again.”

I managed to make him crack a smile at that. I silently cheered as he looked down and his hair prevented me from admiring the rare sight. “There are a lot of hot seniors. You have to be more specific.”

I dropped myself on the couch, kicking my shoes off to curl myself in a ball and wrap a blanket sitting at the end of the couch around me. “One of the twins, the cute one.”

“Xemnas?” His voice sounded distant, like he had gone deeper into the apartment.

I snapped my fingers and raised my voice so he could hear me. “That’s the one. I wish he was into cute freshmen girls, or at least one of his brothers. I want to hook up with one of them.” I turned the tv on and tried to find something decent to watch. “Or all three of them, I don’t really care.”

“I didn’t need that mental picture.” He groaned as he finally came out into the living room, now wearing navy sweatpants and a thin shirt.

He offered me one of his shirts. I smiled before taking it and shuffling towards the bathroom to change quickly, folding my clothes and putting them aside before Isa could yell at me for being messy.

“Okay, but picture this.” I continued the conversation when I plopped down beside him. “I hook up with Xemnas, I get pregnant, and since he’s going to med school, boom! I’ll have a doctor baby daddy.”

“I heard Ienzo’s dad has taken an interest in Xemnas. What if he offers him a job when he graduates?”

“Ienzo’s rich ass dad? Even better! He’ll gift us something expensive for our wedding. Some ridiculously overpriced thing I see and put in the gift list thingy.”

Isa snorted and held his arm out so I could cuddle into his side. His hair tickled me as I laid my face on his shoulder.

“I can’t believe I got all dolled up for nothing.”

I could feel him rolling his eyes. “I did tell you we could still go to the movies. Sun’s still out.”

“It’s not the same without Lea.”

He tensed up, then tightened his arm around me. He let out a sigh that made my hair blow into my face. I huffed and blew at it to make it go back in place, but Isa ended up laughing and tucking the wild strands behind my ear.

“He’s just catching up with his other friends. He’ll be back with us before you know it.”

“Well, while we wait, go get us the first round of beers, will ya?”

“I have an idea.”

“I’m gonna go against my better judgement to ask, what is it?”

I pinched his side. “Listen, let’s get married.”

“Now, why on Radiant Garden would I do that?”

I reached blindly to pinch his nipple, judging by his yelp I succeeded. “That hurt, man. Anyways, we wouldn’t be married, married. We just getting fake married.”

I sat up and gulped down the rest of my beer number… whatever, to place it on the coffee table. He nursed his beer in his hand as he looked at me amusedly.

“Look, we can send Ienzo’s rich dad an invitation to our fake wedding. He’s rich as fuck, if I didn’t mention that earlier, and he won’t even have time to attend something as trivial as a wedding of two dumbasses still in college. He’ll send us an expensive gift with an apology that he won’t make it to the ceremony and boom, we can ‘break’ off the engagement. I promise to split the cash I get when I sell it forward.”

“You can keep the munny.” He placed his beer, still half full, on the table. I almost fell to the ground as I looked at him in disbelief.

“Is that… Is that a yes?” I scrambled off the couch to find my phone. “I’m texting Ienzo right fucking now. Holy shit, I’m gonna pay half my tuition with this.”

I sipped the last of my coffee and threw the paper cup away right before I arrived really fucking late to my pre-calculus class. I waved at the professor, who seemed too chill about me arriving to class only twenty minutes before it ended.

“You’ve got to stop doing that.”

I winced. “Stop being so loud, I’m right here.”

Kairi narrowed her eyes at me. “You’re hungover.”

“No shit.” I crossed my arms on the chair’s small table and laid my head on top. “I found Lea’s alcohol stash yesterday, but Isa thinks I’m a lightweight that got drunk off like three or four beers. Please don’t tell him otherwise.”

“You know he scares me. Your secret is safe with me.”

I smirked and held my fist up. She fist bumped me before turning her attention back to the professor and letting me sleep those twenty last minutes, but the moment I closed my eyes Kairi was already shaking me awake because class was over.

I groaned and walked out of the room after telling her that I’d see her later, and made my way to my next class. I tried to rub the sleep out of my eyes as I walked across campus as fast as I could, even though I didn’t care if I arrived a couple of minutes into the lecture.

I bumped into a hard chest and heard a heavy book falling on the ground. I opened my eyes. “Fuck, I’m so sorry. I didn’t see where I was going.”

Ienzo’s silverish blue hair came into my field of vision when he stood straight after picking up his book. “It’s okay.” His eyes closed when he grinned at me. “I was distracted as well. I was trying to walk and study for my chemistry exam.”

“Sciency stuff, got it.” I laughed and held onto the strap of my bag. “Well, don’t let me keep you. I’m sure you’ll ace it, nerd.”

The only visible part of his cheek seemed to be tinted red to match Lea’s hair. “Right. By the way, the invitation arrived safely this morning in the mail. I was surprised, only last night you texted me. My dad said he was going to be able to attend as well, since we’ll be on summer break by then.”

I furrowed my eyebrows and laughed nervously. “The invitation?”

“For your wedding?” He half asked, half stated. “I have to say, I’m surprised you’re marrying Isa. I always thought you had a thing for Lea.”

“I’m marrying Isa.” I repeated with raised eyebrows.

He looked down at his watch and suddenly I saw a bead of sweat slipping down his forehead. “Gotta go, it’s good to see you again!”

I nodded, but I was suddenly too distracted to pay attention to my next class. I called Isa and, unsurprisingly, it went straight to voicemail. I always joked that he had to stop putting his phone on airplane mode when he was in class because someday I’d have an emergency and he would be the last to know. Well, today I was having an emergency and it seemed like he really would be the last to know.

Isa smiled down at me as he slid on the opposite side of the booth from me. “Why do I have almost twenty missed calls from you? Is everything alright?”

I took a deep breath. “Have you, by any chance, seen Ienzo around?”

“Not since august, really. He’s always studying.”

“Okay.” I closed my eyes and placed my hands flat on the table. “Remember that crazy idea I had of faking our wedding so that his dad would send us an expensive gift?”

“Yes, I even took your phone from your hands to keep you from calling Ienzo to ask for his address. You dropped it after I let you have the rest of my beer.”

I shook my head. “Please tell me you saw me getting into bed.”

“No, but I dropped you off right at the door of your dorm around nine o'clock.” He leaned forward as he narrowed his eyes at me, voice lowering to a threatening tone. “What did you do?”

I puckered my lips as I suddenly found our surroundings interesting as hell. He reached across the table and grabbed my chin so I would look at him.

“I may have gotten creative and sent Ienzo’s dad a fake invitation for our fake wedding…” I groaned and dropped my head on the table. “I don't remember walking out of my dorm at all. That’s not even the worse part. Do you want to hear the worse part?”

“Just… get it over and done with.”

“He’s coming.” I raised my head to look at him. “Ansem the fucking Wise is coming to my wedding, and I’m not even getting married.”

So here what I’m getting at, there seem had the idea that Kairi should be in Final World, but she isn’t. But also had the idea where Kairi heart is at.

Jess. Maybe Kairi’s Heart is Water Darkside. That is what you fail to understand. Heartless are Not beings that lack a heart. (Those are Nobody by the way) There are a from of darkness, born from the darkness of people hearts.

There are two kind of heartless, Pureblood and Emblem. Emblem are the Heartless that had there heart being focused upon them become Emblem with the Emblem. And those Emblem had there heart fly off.

The Pureblood, well there are born from the there own heart, the darkness taken hold and becoming those shadow monster that lack a Emblem. Darkside being one of the Pureblood.

You wear implying that Kairi’s Heart was that Darkside. Now even you raised this Pureblood Hearts are Inner Darkness born within or that you never knew where Kairi was before the updated. I don’t really care what you think. But you can’t blame us for jumping the gun.

Actually I had another theory on why the other wasn’t with Final World. And that is: 

This guy kidnapped them. Why? May I ask.

Because all of them had their body had the blue ghoseness. Like Aqua here, she seem well she trying to keep herself together. Or that Kairi was the one that keeping all of them together. Lichty here just happen to show up to take their Hearts before Sora show up.

Even then I can be wrong here. But thing about Namine yeah she is here. But I wouldn’t think it be farfetch that Namine was star and not a blue ghost that she (along with Kairi) had fall into the darkness, But Namine taken the death for both of them. Again I could be wrong. But it wouldn’t be from another timeline.

I mean what about that timeline Namine? If she was Namine from Alpha timeline, that mean there must be a Beta Namine too. Right?

Funny isn’t it, It almost like it wasn’t lost in the 1st place.

Oh I see now. Yeah I can see. I mean why not Kairi did had a room for her in Sora Heart Hotel.

So are you gonna tell us when Kairi want back to his heart? I mean last time Kairi want inside Sora Heart, she was push toward Sora and fade into him. Just like Eraqus enter into Terra or Roxas and Namine to there somebody hearts.

I guess you going with the line that it similar to how Ventus, Where he his heart enter into bady Sora. Sure why not.

And Xion was a memory of Sora, even if she would had her own heart, it was more to the fact of being a part of Sora already, kinda.

But I do had to ask is how is Sora able be in his own hearts. If that Destiny Island is Sora’s own heartspace. Also why would he leave Kairi (still in her KH3 gear) in his own heart, Shouldn’t he also ask Even, Ienzo, Ansem the Wise to give Kairi a new body like there did for Roxas and Namine.

Oh right I’ve forgot this meant to a dream and not the real world--- Unlike the World Logos impaired, above! No! If you gonna say that the Logo of the Keyblade Graveyard mean that is the Real Keyblade Graveyard, then it the real world, NOT A DREAM!!

I am sorry but if the above point debunk your theory here, Then it a flaw theory!

I’ll give you credit, you’re at least make it clear that you haven’t claimed that Kairi is Darkside. But it really seem like damage controlled here.

This is it. The moment we’ve been waiting for. The KH3D novel is finally out! This is the first full translation of it that I’m aware of, so all of this stuff is new to us English speakers. And I’m gonna write about all of the interesting stuff in it. Especially the stuff with Lea. But anything else noteworthy, too. So far, I haven’t seen anything particularly interesting in the Disney worlds. But Lea’s section was filled with extra details, just as I expected. More to come later (I’m still reading), but here’s what I got for now:

“Sora and Riku are best friends.”

Axel’s eyes crinkled as he remembered his own best friend—the only friend he’d ever had, in fact.

“If your best friend goes away, you’re sad, and if you get to be with them, you’re happy,” Naminé added. “Isn’t that how it is, Axel?”

“…That’s about the size of it.” Axel nodded and sat down on the remaining empty sofa, staring at the sea-salt ice cream he held.

But first, it’s important to point out how Axel was in KH2, since KH3D picks up right where KH2 left off. I loved how complicated Axel being “best friends” with Roxas was. 

He seemed a tiny bit startled as he scanned the room, and his eyes fell on a particular drawing. “This is…me? And that guy Axel…?”

It was Naminé’s drawing of Roxas and Axel, standing side by side.

“You’re best friends,” she said.

Right. Those two had been friends—well, Axel believed they still were. Roxas was his only friend and his best. And Axel was the same for Roxas—probably.

Even Naminé knew Axel thought of Roxas as his best friend and only friend. But...she wasn’t so sure Roxas felt the same way (...he didn’t).

In Twilight Town, the evening sun sank toward the horizon. Roxas was perched on the ledge, high up on the clock tower, watching the sunset and thinking of nothing in particular. He liked to sit up here where he could see the whole town.

“Finally awake, huh?”

Roxas looked up. “Axel…”

His only good friend—his best friend—Axel had arrived with two sea-salt ice cream pops.

Axel always felt the need to assert that Roxas was his best friend and only friend. It was sad. He never acted like this in 358/2 Days. Just KH2. That’s how badly Saïx hurt him. He was doing everything in his power trying---in vain---to forget about Isa.

Roxas… hey, wake up. You’re really there, aren’t you?

You promised me we’d meet again in the next life… right?

Cause we’re best friends, aren’t we?

And then Axel faded from existence, vanishing into nothing.

A promise…

That we’d meet again… in the next life.

We promised.

I remember.

I remember our promise.

He made the promise with Roxas to meet again in the next life to replace the one he made with Isa. It was the promise of two best friends. Axel never made such an special and serious promise with Roxas. Roxas didn’t really understand what was going on when he made this “promise” with Axel. He barely even remembered him at that point. When they did meet again, Roxas disappeared and left Axel in tears.

I’m…dreaming. 

I’m in the usual spot on top of the clocktower in Twilight Town, watching the sunset in the distance. In my hand is a cold, salty-sweet bar of sea-salt ice cream. I’m eating it by myself, wearing my usual black coat. 

“Hey, Axel. You haven’t forgotten?” Suddenly, my best friend, Roxas, is beside me. 

“Hmm? What?” Roxas is eating ice cream, too. 

“You made us a promise.” 

A promise? What kind of promise? 

“I did?” 

“That you’d always be there…to bring us back,” says Roxas.

“Yeah…,” I reply. Each reply makes me nervous. Roxas should be watching the sunset with me, but I can’t tell where he’s looking. It’s unsettling. 

“Got it memorized?” Roxas points at his temple, mimicking me. 

“Best friends forever,” I answer. 

No one’s beside me anymore. The dream is short, but it feels so long—and then I wake up.

And that’s where his dream begins in KH3D. I think Roxas was symbolically replacing Isa here, too. It’s why the camera angle looks exactly like the clock tower scene with Saïx in KH3, when he said he was dragging him home. I wonder if Roxas (and Saïx in KH3) were supposed to be looking at something specific when their face is hidden. Axel said he was unsettled because Roxas should have been looking at the sunset, but he couldn’t tell what he was looking at. The whole dream had a creepy feeling that made Axel nervous.

Axel opened his eyes in the laboratory of Radiant Garden, a room with computers in the back of what was once an office. He wasn’t sure what was going on. He’d saved Sora, but what about after that? 

How did I end up here? Axel sat up slowly. His head was groggy. What happened? 

“Roxas?” He wasn’t there, but Axel could see himself reflected in the glass of the lab.

The laboratory was once an office. Makes sense. Ienzo was the one who suggested building the lab in the basement.

“That’s me…” He spotted a few others collapsed in the same room. The ones in white lab coats were Even and Ienzo, and then there was Dilan and Aeleus still in their former uniforms. Aeleus was starting to get to his feet with a groan. 

Why aren’t they wearing the black coats? Wait, don’t tell me— 

Axel checked his reflection in the glass again and looked for the marks. They were gone. The marks under his eyes were missing. 

It was definitely important that Lea, unlike all the others, was still wearing the black coat even when he was recompleted. He was wearing it when he lost his heart, which is unusual. And I like how the first thought that pops into his head to make sure he’s human is the marks under his eyes. He didn’t just randomly notice they were gone in the mirror. He specifically checked for them. They essentially represent his entire identity as a Nobody. Since Saïx mentioned them several times in KH3, I’m sure the entire backstory of how he got them was supposed to be very important to their relationship.

“We’re people again.” Oddly enough, he found the fact easy to accept. All four of the men behind him had joined the Organization here. Xehanort didn’t count, so there were only two missing: Braig and one other. 

“Isa?” Axel—now Lea—softly said the name of his old friend.

I always wondered what Lea meant when he said Xehanort didn’t count. Apparently everyone became Nobodies and joined the organization right there in that lab, including Lea and Isa. But Xehanort was different. He must have become a Nobody at a different time and place, probably after everyone else. He still had a Keyblade when Ienzo, Even, and Braig lost their hearts. 

Another reason I hate Lea and Isa being apprentices is that the apprentices (besides Braig, I guess) willingly gave up their hearts for research purposes. They knew what they were signing up for. Why would Lea and Isa agree to sacrifice their hearts? What was in it for them? Xaldin said that they sacrificed their hearts to be free from the shackles of emotion. When Xemnas gave his speech in Days, he said they organized to achieve power over the heart. Axel had no idea what he was talking about because he was not a founding member. Lea and Isa gave up their hearts and their emotions for a total stranger? That makes no sense at all.

“What the devil…?” said Aeleus, the first to wake up. He was holding his head.

“Beats me,” Lea replied with a smile as Ienzo also unsteadily got to his feet.

“What…happened…?” Ienzo asked. 

“If you don’t know, then I don’t, either,” Lea answered in his usual teasing manner. Ienzo frowned, clearly unsatisfied. 

Ienzo wouldn’t have known about any of the events following his visit to Castle Oblivion as a member of the Organization. Explaining it all would be a pain—although if he had retained his memories from the castle, things might get a little complicated. 

Ienzo’s Nobody, Zexion, was destroyed because of me. I need some time to myself to think before we get into all that. 

“I’m gonna go look for the others. I’ll leave things here to you.”

I love how cheerful Lea is right after he wakes up, even teasing the apprentices he no doubt despises. And he is worried that Ienzo will remember what he did to him in Castle Oblivion and things will be awkward. But he doesn’t seem to harbor any personal hostility towards Ienzo. Since he needed some time to himself to think, he probably felt a bit guilty. In the CoM novel, he said he needed time to himself after killing Vexen.

Lea left the other four and walked to the room Ansem the Wise had once used as his office, but the wall was decorated with a portrait of Xehanort. It was littered with books, just as he remembered from when he’d snuck in here before. No one else was there. 

Hmmm, interesting. So apparently when Lea (and presumably Isa) snuck into the castle, they made it all the way into Ansem the Wise’s office. This makes me think that they didn’t sneak in through the front gate (I never thought they did, anyways). They must have snuck in through the entrance located in the Postern, which led them directly to Ansem’s study. It would make sense if they were abducted while snooping around in there. 

I really don’t think it’s realistic that they were constantly sneaking in and out, visiting the secret prisons down that long staircase. Not only was the entrance to the lab hidden, that stairway was hidden, too. It’s also not very realistic that someone who broke into the castle and entered Ansem’s study would ever be allowed to become an apprentice. Also, Lea didn’t seem to recognize the portrait of Xehanort that was in there. So, at least at the time he was abducted, it wasn’t there. And that portrait was not there during Mickey’s visit. So, they became apprentices after Mickey visited and Ansem knew about his apprentices kidnapping people? Yeah, sure.

Lea stepped into the hallway and found a skateboard, covered with dust and seemingly abandoned for some time. 

“Don’t go leavin’ this here,” he muttered, then gave the board a small kick as he thought of its owner before walking off.

Ok, this is REALLY interesting to me. Is there actually some kind of backstory for this skateboard? Sora can ride a skateboard in the castle, but I never thought it had a narrative reason to be there. It is described as being abandoned for some time and covered in dust. So, it’s probably been there as long as the castle has been abandoned. Most telling is that Lea said he thought of its owner before walking off. Evidently, he knew who the owner of that skateboard was. That’s quite interesting. Probably wasn’t Isa’s. 

Perhaps it belonged to one of the other test subjects that Lea was acquainted with. When they were released, maybe they left their skateboard? I always wondered if they were gonna use FF characters as some of the other test subjects. What if Neku, Shiki, Beat, and Rhyme were subjects of the experiments? And that was how their existence came to an end and they found themselves in the dream world? That would be kinda sad. Or maybe it’s Zell’s from FF8. Who knows.

No, really, what happened? I mean, I know I’m human again. I always thought when a Nobody fades away, that’s when they really and truly cease to exist, but I must’ve been wrong about that. 

I’m the human I used to be; I can tell. We didn’t have separate personalities like Roxas and Sora. Why was that? I guess because Roxas was special—or Sora was anyway. But special how, exactly? 

“You’ve lost your hearts,” they told us, over and over, but I wasn’t buying it. Not completely, at least. If I didn’t have a heart, then what was that ache in my chest?

I like how confident he’s being here. Pfft, acting like he never believed Xemnas anyways, and always knew he had a heart. Well, deep down he always did.

Lea kept walking until the side entrance was up ahead. He could feel a faint breeze from outside. I doubt the other two are gonna wake up anywhere outside the castle. 

He stopped. Suddenly, he recalled a certain memory. 

It was back when I was a kid—yeah, back before they called this place Hollow Bastion. The first time they called it Radiant Garden. I met someone, and we kinda ended up friends. I hung out with him because I wanted to be remembered by as many people as possible and live forever. What was his name? 

Lea couldn’t recall, but the guy reminded him of someone else. Who was it? Memories from deep in Lea’s heart were resurfacing. Maybe turning human again was why he was suddenly remembering things from his childhood? No, he should’ve been able to remember all along. At the same time, the doubts he’d been holding ever since he became human again were beginning to come into focus.

Okay, very interesting. So I guess Axel didn’t remember Ventus during 358/2 Days, at least not consciously. He probably just felt like Roxas was familiar for some reason he couldn’t put his finger on, and being around him always made him remember his childhood. It makes sense that Lea wouldn’t remember someone he met for just a few minutes from ten years ago. But as soon as he got his heart back, he remembered Ventus. His heart remembered. Ven was supposed to be a VERY important part of Lea’s story, way more than he was in KH3. And notice how Lea has time to think about someone he barely remembered, but not Subject X, who he supposedly was looking for the whole time. Hmm.

But even here, Lea couldn’t make the connection between the kid he met way back when and Roxas. He only just barely remembered him, I guess. But it proves that Lea didn’t think of Roxas as a different person from Sora yet. As far as Lea knew, Sora WAS Roxas, and Sora was his friend now. His whole journey in KH3D, meeting Mickey, getting a Keyblade, was to look for Isa. Roxas had nothing to do with it. Lea needed to reunite with Ventus and rekindle his friendship with him. His obsession with Roxas got really old, and I’m really disappointed he didn’t evolve past it in KH3. His development regressed.

Why did we go back to being human? Did something change us back? What is Xemnas up to this time? No, he must be Xehanort now. 

“Sheesh, what a mess…” Lea scratched his head. What am I supposed to do? 

He needed time to think it over. Lea slowly made his way back to the laboratory.

Lea was still quite suspicious even after becoming human again. He knew that since Braig was missing, Isa was probably in trouble. I don’t think Lea would ever believe Isa joined the organization of his own free will.

“Where are they? I’ve turned this castle upside down.” 

Aeleus was putting books back in their former places on the shelves in the lab. Lea had to wonder if that was really necessary right now, but maybe it was just a soothing task for him at the moment. 

I love how Lea is wondering whether it’s really necessary for Aeleus to organize those books right now. It sends the impression that Aeleus is a neat freak if organizing stuff calms him down. Compared to some of the others, Lea didn’t seem to hate Aeleus as much.

Ienzo was also organizing the desk. He seemed to be searching for something, but Lea couldn’t quite tell. The other two were missing. “Hey. Are the other two out cold?”

I wonder if Ienzo searching for something was supposed to be important. Probably. He was looking through a book.

“What a drag,” Lea said with a big sigh, then turned to Ienzo and offered the only answer he’d found. “Could they not have been recompleted at all?” 

It wasn’t completely beyond the realm of possibility; in fact, it actually made the most sense. Even if Ienzo did explain further, they’d still arrive at the same answer. The question is, what do I need to do now? 

“Well, you see—” 

“Ah! Forget it.” Lea interrupted Ienzo before he could say any more, then, after another look at the portrait of Xehanort, shifted his attention to some scribbled notes on the wall. 

Secrets of the worlds, secrets of the soul, and secrets of Kingdom Hearts, along with some faded words that had to be a password. DOOR TO DARKNESS. 

Oh, so we finally get to learn what that note scribbled on the wall actually said. It’s all about secrets, huh? Very interesting. It was probably gonna be shown how that note got on the wall in KH0.5. We’ll never get to see it though.

The Door to Darkness, huh? 

“You know what? I’ll bring ’em back myself,” he said. 

“Huh? How exactly?” Ienzo exclaimed, which prompted Aeleus to slowly stand up and look at him, too. 

“Why do I always get stuck with the icky jobs?” Lea complained, although he didn’t sound particularly upset by the idea. He slowly made his way out of the room.

Lea was more than happy to use the dark corridors to find Isa. He seemed to be quite familiar with the Door to Darkness, too. In KH3, Ienzo said that they couldn’t travel between worlds after being recompleted. So, Lea’s ability to use the dark corridors as a human was quite special.

“What’s the matter?” asked Dilan with a nasty smirk. “Did Master Ansem say something again?”

“No—there’s a visitor from somewhere else,” Even replied. “Apparently, there really are other worlds.”

Xehanort frowned. “What does that mean?”

“Someone calling himself the king of one of those worlds came to visit Master Ansem. And from his appearance, it’s obvious he is indeed from another world. Said his name is Mickey, I believe…”

“So, the opening of the door affects the worlds,” Ienzo said quietly.

Aeleus and Braig had nothing to add.

This is a passage from the KH2 novel. Apparently Braig and Aeleus were aware of other worlds before the others were. Maybe that’s why Aeleus reacted so strongly when Lea said he’d bring Braig and Isa back himself.

Oooh! Ask and you will receive! Sooo...what if one day Leon, Cid, Yuffe, and Aerith happen to find Vincent in Radiant Garden?

We’re gonna assume that he just got thrown into a different world when Radiant Garden was consumed and just…couldn’t get back. Then one day a weird, black portal opens up and all of a sudden Vincent finds himself in a place that’s oddly reminiscent of RG, but it’s falling apart and kind of bleak.

He wanders around a little then from somewhere above him he hears a familiar voice just shriek his name. Then it clicks where he’s heard it before.

“Yuffie,” he drawls, watching the exuberant ninja run up to him and he actually lets her when she flings her arms around him.

“God, Vince, where have you been?” she asks, eyeing him up and down but, like the others, he still seems the same as he ever did. No worse for wear, just as quiet and somber as ever. “No, don’t answer,” she says, tugging on the edge of his cloak to indicate he should follow here, “The others need to hear it too. They’re gonna be so excited!”

“The others?” he asks, curiosity evident even if his voice doesn’t really change. “Everyone else is here?”

“Yeah, Leon, Aerith, Cloud, Cid, the gang’s all here! Well, except Tifa. We don’t know where she is. Also Sephiroth is here, but he’s not really around much.” she says, navigating the decayed passageway of what was once Radiant Garden with ease.

He falls silent as he takes in her words, a sigh of relief passing his lips, though she’s unaware. He had wondered, after the world went dark, where the others were. No one else seemed to have landed with him, but she made it sound as though they had all been together.

Soon enough, they stop in front of some ramshackle stone building, still falling apart but better than a lot of the other places he had seen. Without knocking, she opens the door, which creaks on its hinges. There are voices inside, chattering happily, but it stops when all eyes land on him.

Suddenly, there’s a half a dozen voices shouting his name and arms around him, enveloping him in warmth. He stands frozen, unsure how to react to the warm welcome, until they all let go, at which point they start pelting him with questions.

“Where were you?”

“Are you okay?”

“How did you get here?”

And all sorts of variations of them. He’s unsure which to respond to first, then another familiar voice cuts through it all, reprimanding them for badgering. A hand claps his shoulder, and Vincent looks over to see Leon, same as he was the last time Vincent had seen him, maybe little more severe, but it was to be expected. “It’s good to have you back. Are you alright?”

Vincent nods as Leon leads him over to the table, and the others gather around as he takes a seat. Now that the others are quiet, Vincent begins to explain. “I don’t know what world I was in. There were no other people, as far as I could find, but many little creatures that came as fast as I could cut them down. I don’t know how I got there, but I got back through a strange black portal that opened up earlier today. I don’t know where it came from,” he said, watching the others for a reaction. Their faces all fell immediately, looking worried or thoughtful in turns.

“Sounds like one of the corridors the Organization used to use. I wonder why one opened up there,” Cid said, glancing at his computer. He was itching to let Ienzo know, as he was the one most likely to have an idea. Well, him or Even.

“The world’s might be trying to right themselves after Xehanort twisted them so badly. Vincent belongs here and had no other way to get home so…” Leon said, trailing off. He also acknowledged silently that Ienzo or Even might have a better answer, though. That would be the first thing they did once they were done with Vincent.

“Well, whatever the case is, we’re really glad you’re home, Vince! We need to find Cloud, he’ll be over the moon! He was really tore up when he found out you weren’t here. He actually got separated from us too. Said he ended up in a world where they did gladiator fights or something,” Yuffie said. She was, in typical fashion, overexcited and ready to go hunting, standing beside Vincent but bouncing on the balls of her feet and glancing at the door every ten seconds.

Leon sighed and shared a knowing look with Vincent, who stood up from his seat. He gave everyone a wan smile before pushing Yuffie’s shoulder in the direction of the door. “Since you’re so eager, you should know where he’s at. Lead the way.”

Behind him, the others broke into muttered discussion, all the words blending together into nonsense Vincent didn’t feel like deciphering. As he stepped out the door he glanced around, and relief bloomed in his chest, even as he felt a pang of despair at what their once grand world had been reduced too. But he was home, and the others were working on restoring it, and he would do his part to help.

i have no idea what happened here it wasn’t supposed to be a scenario but here we are. also i don’t really know what vince is like so i just based it off of his cameo in advent children which i watched and loved

another bit of wip except this time kingdom hearts?

this is from an au I was working on a while ago where Sora is found shortly after kh3 only he’s stuck in his anti form and extremely confused/unable to communicate at first. I have been working on it again today just for fun and if I do decide to keep up with it I’ll definitely post more but here’s the opening for now.

Lea was walking alone in Twilight Town when his gummi phone started to ring. He still hadn't gotten used to the thing, but he smiled automatically every time he heard it, since it was usually one of his three favorite people calling. 

This time, however, he saw the face of Ienzo when he answered. “Hey Ienzo. What's up?”

“Lea. I don't know exactly how to say this, but I've... I’ve found Sora.”

Lea came to a stop in the middle of the street, causing the tram to noisily screech and halt beside him. He quickly moved over to the sidewalk, frowning at Ienzo through the small screen. “What? Well, why call me? Riku and Kairi are worried sick!”

“That's exactly why I didn't call them. I found him, but... it's not good.”

“Shit. Is he... ?”

“No, he's alive, but something appears to be wrong. I don’t know enough of what’s happening to explain it yet. I think you should just come and see.”

Lea nodded. “Okay. Should I bring anyone, or just me?”

Ienzo considered for a moment. “You could bring Roxas and Xion. No one else. And please, don't tell Kairi or Riku.”

“You got it. I'll be there soon.”

“You know Riku's really not going to like this?”

Lea frowned in Roxas’ direction, barely moving his head from its position with his chin rested on his hand, elbow on the armrest of his seat. “Since when do you care about upsetting Riku?”

Roxas shrugged, landing the gummi ship and powering it down. “I don't, but this is about Sora. He's going to be really mad. Kairi too. And I wouldn't blame them.”

Xion unbuckled and stood, stretching her shoulders and wearing her own furrowed brow and frown. “Did we have to take this ship without asking? They might be worried.”

“We'll return it,” Lea assured. He got up, too, hunching a little in the small space of the ship's cockpit. “And we'll explain everything once we know what's going on. First, we've gotta go see Sora.”

Roxas and Xion each turned to look at him, their anxiety clearly showing on their faces. Lea sighed. “Are you two gonna be okay?”

They both nodded, though they still had tight frowns. Lea had seen them under stress enough to know they probably weren’t alright, at least not completely, but they were holding it together. 

He wished he could make it easier for them, just snap his fingers and make it automatically okay, but that wasn’t how the worlds worked for the living. So he opted to take them at their word, ready to have their back if things got too bad. He disembarked the gummi ship and took the lead, gesturing for them to follow.

“Alright, come on then. Let's go to the castle.”

Lea found it strange being in this place again, particularly with Xion and Roxas. Maybe soon he’d be back with Isa...They still had a lot to talk about, especially regarding their own lost friend. But all of that was for another day. 

For now, he knocked on the front door and waited for Ienzo to let him in. Ienzo looked stressed, to say the least. He opened the door and ushered the three of them through. “Please, come in. Follow me.” He led them to Ansem’s study without speaking and once in the room, he shut the door behind him.

Lea crossed his arms, looking around the study. It seemed empty of anyone but them, and not half as tidy as Ienzo liked to keep it. Something was really wrong. “Okay, Ienzo, what the hell is up here? Where’s Sora?”

Ienzo pointed. “He’s behind the desk. But - no, don’t move!” He held up a hand to stop them as Lea and Roxas both moved to look behind the desk. “I don’t want you to crowd him. He’s not hurt, but he’s...different.”

Roxas narrowed his eyes at Ienzo. “Different how?”

Ienzo shrugged. “I can’t explain it. I don’t know yet what’s happened to him. You just have to see it for yourselves.” Ienzo took a few steps back from the desk and met Roxas’ eyes. “Call him, Roxas.”

Roxas frowned in the direction of the desk. There was some noise, like something clawing at the wood, and a light growl. Roxas had an idea what was going on. He took a deep breath, gathering his voice. “Sora?”

Something moved behind the desk and came into view. It was Sora, but in his dark, Heartless-like form. He was hunched over, walking on his hands and knees, darkness rising off of him like coils of smoke. He looked at Roxas with a blank expression and piercing golden eyes.

Xion and Lea stepped back in shock, but Roxas knelt to Sora’s level. “It’s okay, Sora, it’s just us. It’s your friends, remember? Roxas and Xion and Lea. We’re here to help you.”

Sora sat up into a squat, tilting his head at Roxas. He was definitely listening, but how much he understood was difficult to tell. Moving back into a crawl, he inched a little bit closer. 

Xion pulled back a little more. She looked helplessly at Ienzo. “What happened to him? Why’s he like this?”

Roxas answered instead. “This is his...Anti Form, I guess it’s called? When he was turned into a shadow, it did something to him, and it allows him to become this. But it’s supposed to be temporary.”

“Supposed to be?” Lea echoed. “How long’s he been like this, Ienzo?”

“Since I found him, earlier today. Nearly 8 hours.”

Roxas shook his head. “No way it should last this long. It must have to do with the power of waking. Riku says he overdid it again to save Kairi and he might not be able to get back. Maybe he just...came back wrong.”

Xion squeezed Roxas’ shoulder, more to comfort herself than him. “There’s got to be something we can do.” She looked down at Roxas, then at Sora, who was still scuttling closer an inch at a time. Slowly, she lowered herself down to their level and held out her hand.

“We’re here, Sora. What do you need?”

Something changed in how Sora was looking at them and he surged forward, flying towards Xion and Roxas so abruptly that they jumped to their feet and Lea threw himself in front of them just as Sora’s swinging claws came within reach. “Hey! Stay off of them!”

Sora’s claws barely scraped Lea’s chest and neck, leaving angry red lines where his skin was exposed, but Ienzo grabbed him around the waist and gently pulled him back before he could attack again. “Sora, stop,” Ienzo pleaded, his exhaustion and confusion breaking through his normally even tone. He hauled the Heartless-like Sora back until he settled again, and Lea slowly lowered his arms, but didn’t move away from his friends. 

“Why would he do that?” Lea asked, a little angry under the worry, even though he was no stranger to friends attacking friends.

Ienzo sighed, running a hand through his uneven, messy hair as Sora sat and quietly stared at Xion and Roxas. “I don’t know. Maybe he doesn’t realize he might hurt them. He seems to know who they are...I think.”

Xion looked into Sora’s eyes. They were glowing red, like a Heartless, and were almost expressionless. They blinked at her, and Sora titled his head at her. “I think he does know us. Maybe he...Maybe he’s trying to get us back. Recomplete his heart.”

Lea turned his head to look at her without moving from his bodyguard position, frowning. “He has his own heart.”

“But he’s used to having us,” Roxas said. “We came from him, and then we went back to him and he got used to having our hearts around. And then there’s Ventus. Sora hasn’t been alone for a second since he was a kid, and then we suddenly all left him.”

“So what?” Lea asked, turning around to face both of them. “He needs you back now, again? Why can’t we just bring him to Kairi? She brought him back from being a Heartless, didn’t she?”

Roxas shook his head. “I don’t think this is the same, Axel.”

Xion frowned, still staring at Sora. “It doesn’t matter. We can’t go back again. There has to be another way.”

Ienzo nodded. “Sora is very strong, of both heart and mind. If anyone could recover from this state, he could.” He looked Roxas and Xion each in the eye. “I’ll do my best to help him.”

They both nodded, but Xion still frowned. “How are we gonna explain this to the others?”

Roxas sighed. “They’ll at least be glad Ienzo found him and he’s alive. I know I am.”

Xion touched Lea’s shoulder and gently pushed him so he was no longer standing between her and Sora. Lea thought to resist, but ultimately let her move him away, watching warily as she knelt again and reached out to her original. “Sora, it’s me. You know me.”

Sora inched towards her, his head low as if being cautious now. When he reached her, he chirped and knocked his head gently against her shoulder.

Xion giggled and grabbed his shoulder. "Hey, buddy. Everything's going to be okay." She waved Roxas over, got him to join her and Sora on the floor. Sora seemed to relax as he sat in between them.

Roxas smiled at him, even with the worry still in his eyes. “It’s gonna be okay,” he echoed.

ONE OF THE BEST CUTSCENES SO FAR:

"I'm not ready for another boss fight--" I say as Van looks like he's about to kill Sora.

Sulley grabs stuns Vanitas with a scream, grabs him, throws him through a door. Throws that door through another door. Throws that door through yet ANOTHER door. Throws that door into ANOTHER DOOR.

And all the time I'm cackling.

Okay, so my sister and I were both right. Its Ven and Roxas that Ienzo was talking about when he said Sora had another heart in him. But we missed someone. We missed Xion.

They're all dormant in Sora's heart. Sora has their memories. If they can return the memories to the right heart, as well as provide a body for them, Roxas, Ventus and Xion can all come back.

And the next scene almost made me scream. I didn't because my mom was in the next room, and I nearly cried. I wanted to cry, but I couldn't. IT WAS SO SAD DAMMIT LET ME CRY.

AQUA WAS JUST TRYING TO PROTECT SOMEONE. AND THEN ANSEM, SOB, PUSHED HER INTO THE DARKNESS. IS THIS WHTA HAPPENED TO HER?! TO MAKE HER LIKE TBAT IN THE TRAILER?! SAVE MY QUEEN DAMMIT.

DEMYX IS BACK. And besides his eye color, he hasn't changed. He's just doing his thing. Lil more sassy though. I like it.

So... they kicked out the rest of the Organization to use Replicas?

HOW DOES MARLUXIA REMEMBER XION!? Wait, he died. So I think he was unaffected?

Luxord~~. I just noticed one of his earrings is the Nobody symbol. Love that.

So I finished KH3.  Some thoughts, in a bullet-point list, because my brain isn’t quite working well enough for connected prose:

There… wasn’t a lot of signaling to the audience about when the game would start ramping up to end.  Specifically, there was no middle game—there was plenty of low-consequences world-hopping and gallivanting, right up to the point where suddenly we’re rescuing Aqua and then everyone’s talking about a final battle and then oh heck it’s over.

Lots of things could have made this better, but the most glaring omission was an actual *final checkpoint* before heading onto the last battle.  Previous games had huge doors you had to pass, which would actually say “there is no turning back from this point, do you want to proceed?”.  This game didn’t, and it really could have used it (especially since there were some false endings before the actual final ending.)

Similarly, keyblade power levels didn’t ramp up quite enough as the game went on—yeah, there were some pretty powerful ones, but there wasn’t really an equivalent to Oblivion as an actual late-game keyblade.  There also didn’t seem to be a lot of form-changes with minor teleportation abilities other than Rage Form—and since those were the most powerful form-changes in BBS, it’s what I would have expected as a signal for “okay, we’re almost at full power, the game will end soon.”

Actually, just… the transition directly from a disney world to the freaking Keyblade Graveyard was.  Not a good idea.  A full location in between as buffer would have been really nice.

ALSO, some of the final -ga spells, and freaking glide, only got obtained in the Keyblade Graveyard!  That really implied that either the Graveyard would be larger than it was, or that there’d be something after it, or… something.

Pivoting thoughts here, the treasure chest situation was the best the series has done since the very first game—you actually had to work to find some of these, which was always one of my favorite parts about the first game.

The lucky emblems added to that a lot too.

Although every single time I found a lucky emblem, I screamed and/or groaned.  “REALLY?  THAT PILE OF BARRELS IS MICKEY TOO? HE’S EVERYWHERE!!”

Ratatouille is adorable and I love him.

But cracking eggs is apparently not one of Sora’s skills.

Actually, Sora pretty much has no skills other than hitting things with a big key.  Literally everyone teases him for this.  All of Sora’s conversations seem to end in him getting ROASTED, which is hilarious.

But of course, the best roast in the game was from Woody to Xehanort: “You’ve never had friends, have you?”

As always, there are just so many Xehanorts.

But unfortunately, despite that one speech about how if the world starts over maybe there’ll be less darkness(???), his motivations are still pretty unclear.  “Yeah I time-traveled a lot and recruited a bunch of people and created all these heartless and put in decades of work…. because uhhhh…. there will be more light in the world if it starts over!”

Meanwhile, Eraqus: “lol dude, #AtItAgain I see, you should probably stop trying to end the world, but then do you wanna hug?”

Speaking of characters, THE WHOLE GANG WAS HERE.  Literally basically everyone made an appearance.  Which I really liked!

But… the villains who had whole worlds to introduce their return in (Larxene, Marluxia, Evil!Riku, Vanitas, Luxord) didn’t have full-scale battles in those worlds.  Which would have been fine if they had them later!  They were, each of them, set up to become a bigger deal as the game went on… and then barely re-appeared between their introduction world and the Keyblade Graveyard, in which you didn’t even fight them one at a time, but three at a time, like each was suddenly inconsequential or something?  TBH, Luxord probably got the best deal of the bunch, because at least you kinda do fight him one-on-one in the carribbean.

Poor Demyx, though…. dude only had two scenes…

Even/Vexen was also kinda sidelined, but in a way that worked better (especially since he’s had plenty of spotlight earlier in the series)

HOWEVER, as a general thing, the return of LITERALLY EVERYONE was super cool!  I screamed in excitement when Ienzo showed up.  NEVER had I even DARED TO HOPE that he might get a moment in this game, and here he was with several!

THE IENZO + EVEN + AELEUS + ANSEM THE WISE (+ DEMYX???) REFORMED EVIL SCIENTIST CROWD.  I LOVE THEM.

On the other hand, I kind of wanted more content for most of these groups.  I didn’t really expect it, but come on, if this game can’t throw me the bone of EXPLAINING IT’S MAIN VILLAIN’S PRIMARY MOTIVATION, it can at least distract me with more drawn-out side goodies…

I haven’t even talked about the gameplay yet

ANYWAY THE BATTLE SYSTEM WAS GREAT, and basically had everything I wanted???  Good motivation to use a LOT of magic, frequent form-changes(!!!), other cool/weird ways to do damage (focus lock, attractions), and of course the usual attack mechanisms.  Some form-changes even gave ways to attack at range!

(I ended up using ranged combat whenever possible, wearing three cufflinks at once for ALL THE HIGH MAGIC.  I avoided using cure pretty much always so that I could keep up the magic, lol.)

(On that note, I used a LOT of aero and water in the early game, because I got those cufflinks first, but unfortunately, like always, Thundaga eventually replaced almost all other magic as the clear most powerful.  Sigh.)

Also!  Wall-running and flowmotion!  Those are pretty much literally just The Things Sora Did In The Final Battle of KH2, but now he can do them All The Time, which really shows the character power progression even though due to video game mechanics, he had to start over at level 1, lolsob.

Speaking of Sora progression, he kind of has character development now!  I sort of finally care about him!  And then he just disappears forever lmao

Having ALL the characters back together really highlights KH’s tendency to have, basically, RECURSIVE TRIOS, which is kind of cool even though I kind of wish that maybe ONE of these trios could have two+ girls instead of one or none??? Please???

Speaking of sexism, Aqua saying “it’s my time to shine” and then immediately getting thrown across the room for Ventus to save her was… uh, classic.

Otoh Anti-Aqua was one of the coolest villain designs of the series

There were Not Enough worlds.

HOWEVER, The Caribbean in this game was the best KH world in the franchise’s history, IMO.  GORGEOUS underwater scenery, also gorgeous above-land scenery, AND SO MANY ISLANDS TO EXPLORE.  Completely non-plot-relevant islands!  That you could just go to!  And look for treasure in, like a pirate!  (There was a lot of treasure… that one sunken ship had, what, five chests in one place?  It was the ideal pirate aesthetic.)

Also the Caribbean had the best BG music.

Sora DEFINITELY has a crush on Jack Sparrow.

…On the other hand, if I’m gonna mention worlds I DIDN’T like, the plot in San Fransokyo was so cheesy I almost died.

Olympus was great though!  It had such good design!

Corona made me desperately want it to be summer, it was great.

IT’S TOO COLD OUTSIDE FOR ARENDELLE, ESPECIALLY WHEN SORA DOESN’T HAVE A COAT— but it was really, really pretty.

Axel’s “Don’t you know how popular I am?  I have tons of fans rooting for me!” was one of the funniest lines of the series.

There is not enough Winnie The Pooh content and that makes me really sad.

It’s even WORSE in that Sora actually SAYS, “oh, I’m losing my connection to Pooh, and I think I know why,” and then just… leaves, like that’s fine??? IT’S NOT FINE, SORA.

THE MUN PLAYS KH3

Here are my notes/comments I made while playing through KH3. The thoughts that went through my head.

***SPOILERS FOR EVERYTHING POSSIBLE. SPOILERS. SPOILERS.***

Tuesday, Jan 29th. 5:00 pm.

-Finally home and ready to play. Colored lights on, fluffy pants on, favorite blanket nearby, cats fed, pizza in oven, cold water in fridge, juice smoothie drink standing by. Waiting on my pizza to finish so I can eat dinner while listening to the title screen music. Have not put game on yet. (Just so happened to get my Marluxia keychain the other day too! Got my game today.)

-Here we goooooOOOOOO.

-OATH ORCHESTRAL IS SO PRETTY. Also expected recap. I bet there will be a lot of flashbacks in the game (update: not at all).

-Cable town seems a precarious place to live- also a pain to get around. Pretty. there’s a LOT of islands. (Update: homeworld of Keyblade wielders? Or base)

-Eraqus playing dumb?  Messing with Xehanort? Or is he actually just like that and doesn’t know.

-Queue intro. Music feels off slightly but that could just be because I saw the trailer one first. Also new Marluxia content, gonna need a gif of that little clip jumping over the scythe.

-Darkside, of course. Nostalgia reasons. Would have been more interesting if they changed up the fight with him, I think. He’s always been a pretty lame fight.

HERCULES WORLD

-Cutscenes feel much more natural (first reaction). Also Donald getting shit on, always fun. (Update: the amount of shitting on each other in this game is unreal)

-Hercules’ new voice… Is it new? IDK, but I find it unnerving.

-The Instagram loading screens are weird? Not a big deal.

-Maleficent’s much needed glow up.

-The graphics are odd because some things look super good and then some things look kinda weird sometimes. IDK I just started. Generally very pretty.

-SORA, DONALD, GOOFY. Is this going to be a thing again? (Update: yes, it is)

-Guess Phil isn’t going to talk at all? Sort of weird (Update: speaking of NOT SPEAKING. Aeleus and Dilan. Not a single peep. Wow.)

-Xigbar’s voice is changing into Xehanort’s now. Someone help him.

-Holy shit an NPC. WTF was that scene??? I think that’s all that needs to be said here. Just, what? How did that even work? No idea where the girl was/how far? Didn’t see any fire? Too slow? Yeeted into the universe. Little girl saved???

-Jumping around when you get hit with fire is annoying.

-Fighting those Titans was a shirt storm. It was soooo janky for me. (update: the combat in this game is incredibly aerial based)

-“May your hear-- ?” Unsure if game bugged or not. (Update: I get it now. Thanks, epilogue.)

-So Axel DOES get an outfit, wonder if we’ll ever see him wear it. (Update: AT THE VERY END

-Phone call. Is it my boy IENZO??? Oh, nope. D: WAIT, there he is.- -MOODY AELEUS??? What does he have against Roxas? Just because he left the Organization? Yeah, like Axel. Stop the bias against the other Org members.

-GODDAMMIT they did it again with the title card.

TWILIGHT TOWN

-Seifer and gang left for a “hero’s journey”.

-IENZO SPYING? IENZO CHUCKLE. Ienzo didn’t know= that makes sense. He’s so…happy (Update: he really is chipper in this game) -KIDNAPPED EVEN? -Just get Even to make him a body. -I too could go for some hot wings, little girl -Talking about Sora. I figured, but I hoped.

-Darn you Axel for being attractive -DILAN

IT’S MARLUXIA TIME. MARLUXIA TIME. MARLUXIA TIME

-What a lovely world; everyone’s having a nice time… It sure would be a shame, if someone….ruined it.

-Mar you creep. PINK EYES?

-FAVOR? Oh. :I Balance, eh? Do you believe that Mar? Also would rather forget? Himself, or does he mean Sora?

-Marluxia does indeed dislike nicknames.

-Is Marluxia really out to protect the light/Rapunzel for balance? If it were anyone else it’d be easy to write off. (Update. Like Larx for this story it’s just about making sure they have the PoH backups)

-Time for Mar to be an ass. Lol. Sounded like he wasn’t even trying.  He likes it when they run. Also I guess Mar tied Flynn up in this version? -HE’S SO PRETTY -SLEEP BOY! Also…Mar? New power? Lol. How handy, wish I could do that to myself. (Also the comment about him being good at sleeping or something? Guess he knows that from DDD? When they were all there at the end. Or upon learning he was in a pod for a year.)

-The bosses thus far have been huge and really annoying to hit/air battles.

-On Marluxia, still looks like they’re just using him for Nort fodder at this point. Even though it still makes no sense at all.

-And I’m sure that’s all I’m gonna get this game for Marluxia.

-ALSO,  Reapers baby. CALLED IT.

-Get Even to make one! Well Goofy’s right, Ienzo might be able to do it. OH MY GOD I CALLED IT. Good job Riku for being smart.

-*Sidenote: If you haven’t seen Tangled some things might seem disconnected to you as a player. (Update: this goes for most of the Disney worlds actually.)

- Data Riku or Repliku? Going with Repliku. But the enemy is very codedesque. Also Data Riku is just Data, no body. Could also be timetravel bs - Replica confirmed. Not sure if it’s the same ”Repliku” - Hoping actual Repliku will come back. Riku did mention his other me after all

VEXEN YOU LEGEND. I always liked him. Now it’s up to you Marluxia >:Y I think Vexen may have been talking about Ansem the Wise. Also may not still completely trust him because it says he went back willingly. Unless he changed his mind when learning about Ansem the Wise. (Update: Nope, Vexen really is a legend. I love him).

Lea’s First Day

Notes: The first official Usual Spot Cafe appearance! We get to see what happened after the concert and you’re introduced to some of the other characters in this universe! I’ll let the tags and the story do the talking, but I hope you guys really enjoy it!

“I promise you won’t regret this!” The brunet woman’s eye twitched as Lea shook her hand furiously. “You get one month to prove you’re willing to work hard and that you’re away from that scene Lea. I don’t tolerate The Organizations nobodies in my café.” “Of course, ma’am. I promise you, I left right after everyone else!” Olette nodded and began walking out of the small room that served as the office, “come on your first day starts now.” Lea nodded, unable to keep the large grin off his face as she led him back out to the sitting room. “Okay this is the main room, I work register while Xion makes all the drinks with Hayner. Roxas and Ienzo are in the back making the various foods and baked goods that we serve. Oh! And the lovely Pence works the ice cream bar.” She pointed to the slightly chubby adult who just yawned and gave a nod. Lea waved happily back. “So, what am I gonna do?” Olette stood back up after bending down into a bin, an unused apron in her hands. “You’re going to be a waiter slash bus boy.” “So taking orders and stuff?” Olette paused and thought before making an undecided face. “Eh yes and no. Customers will still give me their order, if it’s to go don’t worry about it. Xion or Hayner will call it out. But if it’s for here then they get real dishes which is where you come in. We give our tables numbers and on each order, I’ll put down the corresponding table number at least until you know your way around.” “Right.” She gave him a smile, “don’t worry, we have a lot of regulars here so I’m sure that after a week you’ll be able to recognize an order and match it to the person. Now follow me.” Olette led them to the front of the counter pointing out various things on the menu, “so we have the normal type drinks you find in most coffee shops, though I get a lot of inspiration from the regulars that come here and my friends and I like to do a monthly drink that is completely my creation. Depending on the popularity of said drink it might end up on the menu full time.” Lea nodded, “what’s the monthly drink this time?” Olette smirked and rolled her eyes, “I didn’t come up with this one, a customer did but I thought it was funny. It’s the Ignis special, an extra-large Ebony, complete with a large scone which Roxas lovingly draws glasses on and our favorite pompadour.” “Oh, bugger off you crazy woman.” Olette smiled and looked past Lea, making him turn around, finding the source of the voice to be a tall man lounging on one of the window seats. He had a teasing smile on his face, the Ignis special on a little table in front of him. “Oh, hush Ignis, you know you love your boyfriend.” Ignis just rolled his eyes fondly as Olette turned back to Lea, “that’s Ignis, one of our regulars and yes the inspiration for this special. The only month I don’t have a special based on my friends is Pride month, then it just looks like a pride parade threw up in here which is awesome.” “Sounds like a blast!” Lea grinned at her. “It can be, now we also have daily deals, all centered around Disney movies. Today is the ‘once upon a dream’ cookie.” She pointed to the glass baked goods case, inside nestled around fake woodland animals and blue and pink tulle were sugar cookies, the frosting on them done just so to look like the fairies fighting over the dress color. Lea nodded, “okay how are the tables numbered?” Olette frowned and lightly swatted his arm, “I’m getting there you impatient slimjim. The table numbers start over there at that table,” she pointed to a table behind lea, making him turn around and he swore his heart stopped when he saw the pale haired man sitting there. He had his long hair in a bun and was chewing on the end of a pencil and lea felt like he just had a brush with a god. “That’s another regular over at table one. He always sits there. From table one it just goes to the left if you’re facing the door. Think of the counting like a reverse typewriter.” Lea nodded numbly as Olette began walking away, telling him to follow her into the kitchens. He didn’t follow however and just stared at the other man until he looked up at lea. The silver haired man gave him a soft smile and lea felt like the ground was going to swallow him whole. A blush rose up his face and into his hairline as he looked down at the floor. “Holy shit it’s Riku.” He whispered to himself, turning around and hurriedly following Olette into the back of the store where she helped him re-braid his hair into a tighter plait and showed him around the kitchen. “Okay Lea I think you’re ready to go out there. Can you handle it?” Lea nodded, his face still slightly red. ‘Why does Riku look so gorgeous!? I didn’t even recognize him without the bruised-up face and glasses!’ “Lea? You’re not chickening out on me, are you?” “Huh? Oh no sorry I spaced. What were you saying?” Olette pursed her lips at him and crossed her arms. “I was telling you our clothes are alright for today but tomorrow come in wearing black pants and a white button-down shirt. I don’t care about piercings or tattoos as long as they don’t have swears in them.” Lea smirked a little at her wording and raised an eyebrow. “Hair past your chin must be tied up if you’re dealing with food or you have to wear a hat or hair bet. So, go out there and win me over!” She pushed him out past the counter again where he stood there awkwardly until he heard a familiar voice and the snap of bubble gum. “Yo order for table one.” ‘Ifrit’s balls!’  lea turned to the dark-haired woman who was giving him a cocky grin, holding out a plate with the once upon a dream cookie and a mug of a steaming liquid. “Xion I swear to the Astrals…” “Maybe you should have called him sooner!” “I was busy with finals! Not to mention the fact that I had to go to radiant garden to visit my parents and then Isa’s cat died! I couldn’t leave him!” Xion rolled her eyes and thrust the mug and plate in his hands. “Whatever. Table one, don’t mess it up.” Lea glared at her back as she turned around and began talking to Hayner. Lea gave a sigh and walked over to the table where Riku was sitting, a ball of nerves in his stomach. The mug was shaking on his little plate making him gulp before setting it down. “Once Upon Dream Cookie and I think it’s tea. Enjoy!” Riku set down his phone and looked up a look of confusion on his face. “Lea?” Lea smiled nervously and put his hands in his pockets. “Hey… Riku.” Riku smiled, “hey how’s it going? Roxas told me you were in Radiant Garden.” “Just got back last night. Sorry I never called.” Riku shook his head, “don’t worry about it. I ended up being really busy towards the end of the semester. I had a bunch of exams plus a few boxing championships, ugh it was tiring.” He gave lea that soft smile again, the one that Lea was pretty sure was going to turn him red permanently from blushing. “So, you work here?” Lea smiled proudly, “as of today yeah! And I’m probably failing cause I’m talking to you crap.” His smile fell as he thought of Olette’s harsh words. She was overall a kind woman, just so what she says when she says. Riku laughed, it was deep and hearty and made everything alright in Leas panicked world. Lea breathed a sigh of relief and smiled. “Well I guess I’ll let you get back to work, don’t forget about calling me though!” “I won’t!” Lea began walking away to ask Xion what he should do during to the slow points when he paused and had an idea. He grinned brightly and dug his phone out of his pocket, quickly finding the name in his contacts that his thumb had hovered over for days. He clicked the green call button on the name without hesitation. Lea pressed the phone to his ear and bit his lip nervously as Olette frowned at him. He gave her a pleasing look and gestured at Riku. She rolled her eyes and gave him a warning finger point. He nodded as the ringing stopped and the call was answered on the other end. ‘Hello?’ Lea turned around to face Riku’s table again, looking at the man nervously as he said hello over the phone again. ‘Hello? Sora if you’re pranking me I swear to Ramuh.’ “Want to get dinner tonight?” Riku looked up and locked eyes with lea, laughing again making Lea smile victoriously. “You are so cheesy! Okay Lea, yes I would love to have dinner with you tonight, though you told me you would be seen with that ugly bruise you gave me.” “Tell you what, I’ll pay for dinner, ice cream, and a movie because you healed up so beautifully after I introduced you to my elbow.” Riku grinned softly. “I would like that a lot Lea. See you tonight?” Lea blushed and nodded, turning his eyes to the floor. “See you tonight.” Lea hit end call on his phone and punched a first in the air victoriously as the bell over the door rang signaling a customer walked in. The redhead looked back up and gave a small wave, speaking in unison with Olette and Xion. “Welcome to the Usual Spot Café!”
