Chapter 54: Learning and Encouraging

The general placed your lunch order for you, stating there were specific things needed for your course. When the droid arrived it placed a rather elaborate place setting in front of you. Lots of silverware and glasses that you weren’t familiar with.

The general seemed to want to make sure everything was precise and forced you to maintain a straighter posture than normal, “Now m’lady it is important that you take such a lead at this formal dinner. Other than the Supreme Leader, you will be the next highest ranking person there.” He then started to show you by example how to do things.

“So everyone will be looking at me and judging me. Got it.” You instantly got nervous. You hated being the spectacle of everyone’s judgment.

“Now, now m’lady, they will simply be following your lead, as will the Supreme Leader. One of the reasons why you are learning such things is that he needs to be shown what to do, he will follow your example. He has been taught these things, but he tends to either ignore them or forget them. He will be searching your mind and following you at the dinner,” Hux informed you.

“Searching my mind? Like he will literally be following my lead? I don’t know if I like that.” Truly you didn’t, it rather creeped you out.  

“Well, m’lady it is either you or I, and I think he much prefers your mind versus mine. I can tell you that he does it anyway, if you know where to look you can feel him moving around in there.” He pointed to his head,  “You might find that it is a good way to communicate without alerting others. I have found it rather useful at times.”

You considered this for a moment. He was in your head? You knew he read your thoughts, but you assumed that he didn’t do it all the time. But now you thought twice about it. Could he see what Adlez and you were doing? Would it even work if he knew what you were trying to do? How good was his concentration? This was something you were going to have to test.

“Ok, so if I do this correctly then he will take my lead?” You weren’t sure if that was the best thing.

“Yes m’lady, but I might recommend that you rather overly think it when you do. Like yelling in your own mind or rather when you pick up a glass you need to truly think about picking up a glass or a fork. He will need to be led by you as to what to do, less we want to make fools of ourselves.” He then went through what each item was used for and in what order you were to use them.

You eventually got to actually eat your food, “But it is very important to note that anytime you get up from the table all males will stand with you,” said the general. “The Supreme Leader will probably initiate this. You do not have to stand when another woman gets up, but any male that does not stand for you is someone who is insulting you.”

“Do you have a feeling that someone might try to insult me?” This was not something you wanted to repeat, not after the last time.

“There may be some at the dinner that do not appreciate that your planet has not been in the last few galactic wars. And now it is reaping the benefit of the First Order’s graces without doing the work.” You could tell this was not his personal feelings, only possible opinions that he was relaying to you.

“Would they possibly be the same people who are in favor of General Pryde staying around?” You had a gut feeling.

The general did not answer exactly but shared a pointed smile with you as he turned back to eating his lunch. You got the message. You were about to fight an entirely different battle. One that Kylo wasn’t proficient in, one that you would lead on your side.

“They may also make snide remarks about you m’lady, so you best be prepared. Adlez and Olivia-Rose will make sure you are presentable. It will be best if there are no marks along your neck. While they may be something, the Supreme Leader enjoys, it will not be something appreciated by them less you be in a different position; like that of a courtesan and not a lady.” He pointed to his own neck, miming to where your marks were.

“We won’t have that,” stated Adlez. “If anything, that will be the women they call wives that they will bring along.” She seemed ready to take this battle for you. You wonder if it was ever insinuated that she was one in her previous marriage. High society women were known to be catty and backstabbing.

“Of course not, but Lady Ren may have to remind the Supreme Leader as to the purpose of covering herself up.” You could tell that both you and the general knew that he probably wouldn’t be happy with the decision to cover them up.

Your hand went to the mark behind your ear, the one he almost seemed to insist be there at all times. Not that the other marks didn’t mean anything, but this was the one he darkened and remarked every morning. You had a feeling that this was the one that would have to stay, his little mark of ownership over you. His signature, his brand.

“I will try to do so general, but perhaps we can find a dress that makes covering them less tedious?” You turned to your ladies with the question.

“I have just the dress in mind, m’lady. It will show off a bit of your back but almost nothing of your collarbone and what is shown will be easy to cover. One of your many beautiful floral dresses,” said Adlez.

“We are confident we can cover any mark, the Supreme Leader decides to leave,” said Olivia-Rose.

Both of them made you feel better, you were glad you had their company otherwise you would be all alone here. Floundering trying to make this all work, lost trying to find your new role. They were essential to your success.

After lunch, you all made your way up to the second level. You walked past the place where your drink from the other night had crashed. There was a stain in the carpet there. You stared at it for a moment before taking your spot. Adlez noticed the stain and walked back downstairs before coming back with a brush and a bottle of seltzer water, salt and a rag. She went to work lifting the stain if only she could do that to the memory.

The general informed you that you would be skipping around in order of lessons until the Supreme Leader informed him that you were to do some of the others he had in mind.

“Once you are officially introduced as the First Lady, Lady Ren of the First Order and because you are not married to the Supreme Leader at any official events, you are not to go off alone with him. I believe the Supreme Leader has designated myself as your official chaperon at the dinner. You will also take up some duties, including some official correspondences with some of our allies. When we get closer to the dinner the Supreme Leader and I will sit down with you and go over your new duties,” the general then stood and folded his arms neatly behind his back.

So you were not only were you and he going to be watched by everyone, you couldn’t be alone together for five minutes. You were also going to be given new duties and responsibilities. Part of you was happy because you were going to be trusted with things, but part of you was dreading having to possibly do something you didn’t want to do.

“It is also recommended that for the next few meals following up to the dinner that you follow that same set up to practice your etiquette. It should now be set up on your meal preference list to eat this way. Even though the Supreme Leader will probably just follow you, it may not hurt to have him eat like that with you beforehand,” you could tell that the general was giving you a hint. You would agree that Kylo had some manners to work on and it wouldn’t hurt to start early.

The general then took his leave as you followed your ladies down to the dressing room to get ready for dinner. You saw the lieutenant linger for a moment before he also took his leave.

You then got ready with your ladies, putting you in another rather simple dress for the evening and doing another simple but elegant style.

“So is there anyone that has caught either of your eyes on board,” you asked both of them.

Adlez caught your eye in the mirror you could tell that she knew what you were doing. “Not particularly for me, but I have had fun with some of the officers at the bar.”

Both of you watched Olivia-Rose blush and duck her head when both of your attention turned to her. “There is no one in particular.”

“No one in particular, or someone who hasn’t noticed yet,” asked Adlez taking the lead. Her all-knowing eyes settled on her younger counterpart.

“I don’t know if it would even be appropriate, or even if it would be reciprocated,” Olivia-Rose said in her own defense. She looked stressed and worried.

“It is most certainly reciprocated and really all you need to do is ask permission from Lady Ren,” said Adlez to her. She then looked at you, asking permission for her.

Olivia-Rose then caught your eye in the vanity mirror, you got up and took her shoulders in your hands. “Of course you can, all I ask is that if it doesn’t work out that you will be able to work together. He is my assistant after all, and you will have to be near each other every day.”

Olivia-Rose just blushed and ducked her head. Eventually, she nodded in response. You then walked over to the vanity mirror with her and Adlez to inspect their handiwork. They did an excellent job, as always.

“Adlez do you think you can get me ready for bed by yourself?” You turned your head to the older woman.

She met your eye in the mirror and answered it with a smirk, saying, “Of course I can.”

You then turned to Olivia-Rose, “I expect that you should be able to track him down. Or do you want me to send him a message? I am giving you the opportunity to do it now before things get too hectic for all of us.”

She blushed and ducked her head once more, “I can find him m’lady and thank you.”

With that, you dismissed them both and headed to the living area to wait for Kylo to return for dinner. You had some things to discuss tonight, one of them being the execution tomorrow. You just hoped he could keep a level head for once so that another night together wasn’t ruined.

World: Alternia, slight AU where the hemospectrum is really more of a spectrum. You can be a “high tealblood” or “low oliveblood”, as long as it fits within a certain range. Exzodiac signs still apply.

Hell yeah. Since the colors are typically 30 degrees away from one another on the color wheel I usually bump cuspbloods about 10 degrees one direction or another.

Name: Renuti Ceclos. I don’t recall where “Renuti” came from—probably the Latin root for “revolution” or “communication”—but “Ceclos” is a sly nod to Night Vale.

Love it.

Age: Sweeps for Trolls, Years for Kids

Theme/Story: The story, although it eventually becomes a SBURB adventure, starts with a radio station on Alternia that broadcasts rebellious messages for those seeking hope. Renuti is the runner of this station, and the eventual players of SBURB are drawn together because of them and the radio station.

Review Goals: The fanventure is already being posted, so I can’t make any major story shifts. But design and personality help is appreciated. I can also change their name if necessary.

You could also do mikekind if you want it would be Renuti swinging the cord around like a morningstar or perhaps whacking people with the mike stand?

Fetch Modus: Not sure…fake news modus? Has to discern the actual item from the exaggerated headline?

…man given all that’s going on that concept made my gut wrench a little so lemme see if I can come up with a different one.

Idk if you’ve ever heard of or played the game Oxenfree, but in it the main character has a radio she can tune to different frequencies to pick up some cool stuff! But once the plot gets going, she can adjust her radio to three different frequencies to open up a portal which [REDACTED].

So maybe Renuti can use a FREQUENCY MODUS, where each item is locked to a certain 3-frequency combination, and upon spinning the dial to them in turn a little portal pops up and drops the item into their hands?

Blood Color: Slightly high teal blood.

Lunar Sway: Derse, obviously.

Title: Heir of Light. Literally inherited the radio station from their ancestor, and passively changes things by sharing truth and information. (Passively because, as a reporter from inside the booth, they can’t intervene.) In a meta sense, they inherently have relevance because I thought of them first and the story sort of revolves around them.

Symbol and Meaning: Lipia, the Networker.

If I may suggest one, what about staticRevolution? I like the contrast of the two words, and they still easily convey that they’re a subversive radio host to those in the know.

This is an excellent quirk, you’ve honestly thought Renuti out so well.

Special Abilities: None.

Lusus/Guardian: I’m really not sure. Their theme doesn’t line up with any animals I can think of.

Well as long as we’re making Night Vale references, why not a snake, since it’s on the Subversive Radio Host patch? BUT let’s make it a tsuchinoko since 1) fat creature I love it, 2) it can occasionally be mistaken for a microphone, and 3) apparently some myths indicate that it can talk, lie, and drink booze, which sounds like a GREAT parental figure for a future radio host.

Interests: They like to listen to podcasts a ton, and also go for walks. They try to cook, but they’re pretty bad at it. They make found poetry out of newspapers they distrust. Oh, and they adore troll Doctor Who.

Mood to a LOT of this.

Appearance: It won’t let me attach the picture I drew :( pretty basic appearance overall, short hair, horns like rectangles with slanted tops, long coat over pants and shirt.

Oh GOD I wanna see them so bad if you see this after it’s published *please* try submitting their picture I’d love to have a look at them!

Personality: Renuti is very caring, friendly, and confident, which are all traits that can easily get them into bad situations. They have a tendency to get carried away with passion and excitement when talking, and often have narrowly avoided outing themself as a rebel when doing so. They aren’t close with many people, but they know many—useful when seeking out info. They can be too easily swayed by any sign of their kindness being reciprocated and they’re well aware of it, which is the cause for their self-imposed lack of friends. Overall, they’re a good person trying their hardest to not be as impulsively kind as they are.

Land: I’m not sure! Suggestions?

What about Land of Fibs and Fables? Their land would initially be populated by consorts who have been fed ALL SORTS of tall tales about their Hero of Light, and the only way they can get an audience with their denizen is to make sure that the *true* story becomes common knowledge.

((SO. This AU has gotten way more off-canon and hectic than I intended waay back when I first started this blog, so under the cut is a crash-course for this AU and how it differs from canon and other things to take note of for folks that are new and/or who don’t keep up with every single little post. Confused? This should have answers :3c))

FIRST OFF, AN IMPORTANT THING TO NOTE Is that this AU has been going since just after Chapter Two, and a lot of it was planned between chapters two and three. Also, this blog PREDATES and TOTALLY AVOIDS canon. There Is No Bad Ending. Only Happy Times(tm).

It’s heavily implied the studio is in New York in-canon, but I can confirm here that the studio is indeed in New York in this AU.

The toons are really Joey’s creations, they’re in no way stolen from anyone else.

I made and characterized my Joey before we got his first log in chapter three, and for me, voices need to sync to their characters. As such, my Joey doesn’t at all sound like he does in the game. I haven’t found who the voice belongs to, but I’ll update this when I do. Joey’s the only character in the AU with a voice different here than in-canon. (For anyone curious, he’s actually in the realm of sounding like a slightly more masculine Blue Diamond from SU xD it’s very light and gentle like that)

Joey’s a bit out of his mind in this AU, but he’s not uncaring. He’s still into rituals and the occult, but he’d never harm his employees or the toons.

He thinks of the toons as his children, and they think of him as their Papa Drew. They’re a very cute oddball family.

Joey has no (human) family of his own, he lives in an apartment in the studio with the toons. It’s right behind his office.

Henry has not been with the studio since it started. Joey started the studio on his own, and only met Henry later. He was too young to hire at the time, so it was several years before Henry actually got to join the studio staff. Henry and Joey stayed in close contact, though.

Speaking of Henry, he’s more Joey’s apprentice and surrogate son than business partner or anything else canon implies.

Henry’s wife is actually named Dianne here, because I accidentally made him a wife before we knew anything about Linda. Linda still exists somewhere in the city though, she’s just an ex. She broke up with him because of his work habits.

And speaking of Family, I don’t have a lot of family headcanons but here’s what I’ve got in a list: Joey just has the toons, Henry has a wife and a baby, Sammy’s an only child, Susie’s got an oldest brother and an older sister, Wally’s got six other siblings, Norman has five kids (and something like 20 grandkids iirc), shawn’s got a wife and two kids, and thomas had a wife and a kid but she left him and took the kid with her (now he only has his dog, poppy - she is his everything). susie and sammy go on to get married in a year and end up having twin boys, Stephen and Stanley Lawrence, in late 1940.

The toons were made in the first half of 1936, making them all around two years old as of when this was posted. They were made as-is so they were never babies, and they only age mentally. They were “born” with incredibly limited knowledge and experience, and with the way they learn at about the same pace regular human kids would they all have a tendency to act like small children. 

Naturally they do get smarter and wiser as time goes on, but they still act pretty childish and toony even 100 years from now.

The toons weren’t made by individual human sacrifices. Joey bonded his soul to the ink machine so it could produce possessed ink, which can then take on the form and personality of a toon in a ritual. The rituals still need blood, but Joey uses his own.

Speaking of that, that means Joey lacks a soul. This has had subtle influences on him as a person, both physically and mentally, but they’re very subtle.

Also, The Ink can manipulate things that already exist, people and objects included. Even inhaling too many fumes from it can cause one to act goofy. Physical contact or consumption of The Ink will lead to anything from toonish (childish/goofy) behavior to going full toon or ink monster, depending on quantity. explains why wally’s such a darn goofball, with how much of that stuff he cleans up all the time... this boy has inhaled Too Many Ink Fumes

Related to the above, but if The Ink gets into your system and deems you “incompatible”... it’s rare, but it’ll just outright kill you with ink poisoning instead of trying to do something Fun to you. it’s rare, and it hasn’t happened yet, but it can happen. Joey is the only one that knows this.

A handful of items in the studio are possessed by now after coming in contact with The Ink from leaking pipes or other spills.

The toons are ink all the way through, unlike their canon counterparts that have bones and organs. If you tried you could literally punch straight through them, and it wouldn’t hurt them all that much. It’d heal right back up as soon as you moved your arm. In fact, the only things that can harm them are water, religious symbols, and types of paint thinner (acetone, turpentine, etc etc. bleach will probably do it too.)

Because ink can take on the physical properties of other materials, that means the toons don’t just feel like ink - hair and fur still feels soft, fabric feels like fabric, etc etc... but everything’s got a subtle chalky texture to it, especially skin.

The toons have a lot of toon-superpowers, including but not limited to: shapeshifting, toon physics, hammerspace, consuming ridiculous amounts of food, teleporting through ink puddles... If it’s Classic Cartoon Slapstick(tm), they can probably do it.

Toons only really need to drink possessed ink to survive in day-to-day life, they need it much like humans need water. They can (and do) eat food for enjoyment but they don’t have to. They can also eat things that aren’t actually food, for some reason. Bendy’s really the only one that does this. the worst offender is pens, don’t leave your nice pens laying around he will eat them

The toons are all technically imperfect for in-universe unknown reasons. Bendy has a tail, Boris also has a tail and is fluffier than his cartoon counterpart, and Alice’s horns are just bits of hair that stick up. She also has holes all the way through her hands, and a longer dress. (The meta reasoning for this is just that I found it more fun to draw them these ways, they make them a little more my own ;P) (plus we didn’t know what alice looked like from the waist down until ch3 so uhhhhhh I Winged It)

This AU parallels Disney heavily, also they are technically Disney so that means they’re producing a lot of non-bendy related things alongside the Bendy cartoons. This includes full animated feature films that are more or less just like their disney counterparts. Yes, they did a snow white.

Studio never bankrupts in this timeline, it mirrors Disney’s success as well.

This also means that the theme park that was being worked on in-canon actually doesn’t exist for another 20 or so years, as Disney got to their first theme park in the 1950s.

Blog progresses in real-time, minus 80 years. There are slight tweaks to the exact time of day and the studio’s hours of operation exclusively for the ask-blog feature, however. this is why sometimes characters are answering asks at 9PM, when everyone is actually home in-universe

This is more meta but it’s a fun-fact, I try to simulate the ‘late 1930s’ vibe as well as I can, I do a loooot of research. More than I should, given this is a silly AU ask blog. I find history fascinating though so I go overboard.

The studio uses a mix of the current in-game layout, and the pre-ch4 updates layout. For example, there’s that new animation room behind henry’s desk here, but the ink machine and it’s room are still relatively undramatic.

Regardless of what I end up doing with Allison, she will not replace Susie as Alice’s voice. Susie is still and always will be Alice’s voice actress.

Susie’s also not nearly as... insane as her canon-counterpart, but that can be said for just about everyone here.

Alice was actually modeled after Susie. Joey was inspired by her incredible voice talent and general personality, so he made Alice as a character not long after Susie started working at the studio.

The studio was founded in February 1928, and they released the first Bendy cartoon in August 1928.

DnD Question Masterpost: Opal

It’s gunna get long fam

If your character wasn’t an adventurer, what livelihood would they lead?

Opal would continue to work as a grave digger and traveling preacher, trying to spread the faith of Zemtris, just with less looting and monster slaying. He’s honestly very happy with his current job, though he offered in waterdeep to also work as a coroner. 

Who in the party would your character trust the most with their life?

Opal doesn’t really trust anyone with his life mostly because he likes to walk the line of death, and if its his time to go he would want to go at that point. In regards to what kind of person he trusts to protect him though, he is trustworthy of anyone that believes in his faith.

What are your character’s core moral beliefs?

Dream like you’ll live forever, live like you’ll die today. Take risks, be aware, be kind, be helpful.

What relationship does your character have with their parents and siblings?

Opal was adopted as a baby into a tribe of Elves, with his parents and several siblings. He loved them all very much, and though he has now been banished from his tribe for reasons, he harbors no ill will towards them and also still loves them very much.

Does your character have any biases for or against certain races?

Opal has never canonically seen other Firbolg, and so is always very excited and happy when he encounters one, so he is biased for them. Otherwise he treats everyone equally, but he sometimes confuses smaller races for children, who he also loves, and sometimes treats them better because of it.

What is your character’s opinion on nobility? On authority?

Because he is a strange religious man who just walked out of the woods one day, Opal has practically no understanding of nobility or proper authority on a fundamental level. He respects the rules of the place he is in but doesn’t really “get” it.

Describe your character’s current appearance: clothes, armor, scars they’ve picked up along the journey, etc.

Opal is a blueish Firbolg with most of his fur burned off and patchy, covered in his namesake- opalescent scars all over his body. He changes his eye color often but likes pink and yellow eyes, and has about shoulder length long dreadlocks that are very thick, sometimes with rings in them. He has no nose, and covers it with a band (or makeup, as he’s learning what that is) and always has his signature wide brimmed hat. He has collected various things from stuff that has died around him and hung it from his hat in little jars and such. He recently upgraded from his fully black drabby gravediggers coat to a more vibrant bluish purple jacket, often electing to not wear a shirt under it. He does however have a golden breastplate depicting him being hugged by the arms of Zemtris. He also got a few piercings, jewelry, and tattoos, including a necklace bearing Zemtris’ symbol.

What location encountered in the campaign has your character felt the most “at home” in, or just generally liked the most?

Opal finds the great city of Waterdeep to be so incredibly strange and wonderful at the same time. His favorite thing is the variety of people present in the city, though he finds it overly complicated.

What deity, if any, does your character worship? What’s their opinion on other people’s worship?

ZEMTRIS!!! His own personal god that he’s trying to start a religion for, he is The Opal Prophet by title. He loves meeting other religious folk but is not too knowing of other religions. There is one particular god however that he very much so dislikes. He doesn’t like gods that decide who lives and who dies. It’s easy to think Zemtris does this, but Opal believes that fate is in the hands of the mortals that bare it, rather than thrust upon them by gods.

If your character had time to pick up any artisan’s tools, game set, instrument, etc., what would it be?

He wants to find a place where he can build a great temple/chuch to Zemtris and live there and preach from there, considering that his home. Whether or not he wants a spouse and children depends on how his relationship with Zemtris evolves, as he considers them to be lovers.

He has, and is! He is completely literally in love with Zemtris and considers them to be a couple.

They were ambushed by goblins beneath the city, and he saw one of his new friends be struck with an arrow that he knows should have ended her life, but she did not die. He hesitated and did not heal her at the time. (I missed a game and Opal was being puppetted, a fellow player was struck with a sneak attack that was an instant kill, but since I wasn’t there to play Opal the DM ruled it unfair to kill her character outright when I wasn’t there to help)

Opal probably would have wanted to be a druid if he was able to tap into natural magic, but if that continued to not work as it had been going, he possibly would have become a warlock. He wanted very desperately to connect to something.

Trying to bring a dying man back to life when he was not ready.

Opal is covered in special burn scars from when a group of people tried to burn him to death (and succeeded?) in his own church. They are opalescent, which is where Opal took the name. Two of these burns are perfect handprints on his back like small wings, which he believes was Zemtris protecting him.

Opal would say a mouse, I would say an owl. Creepy how one hunts the other.

He would try harder to convince a group of people he was right.

If he was in the party proper it would be Siril no doubt, they’re both Firbolgs with a strange connection to life and death.

He’s insecure about some of the nature of death, whether when he kills something it’s because he chose to or it was fated to die by his hand. He also is concerned about why -that thing- happens when he tries to raise the dead.

I guess he’d be the guidance counselor? But if he had to be a student he’d be like...the dumb kid who’s just very nice? Is that a thing.

What treasure/item/artifact that your character has collected during the adventure is the most important to them?

His shield. It’s a cross section of a tree, but when he cut the tree down the symbol of zemtris was already emblazoned into the wood. He sees it as a sign that he is doing the right thing.

Opal doesn’t know too many legendary items, but I believe in a high level oneshot he had like a cloak of stars or something? He’d probably like a cool magical cloak, maybe a cloak of eyes or something.

Where does your character feel the most at home?

He has built a few churches in his life, and those always feel like home, but if not that then he does like to go back out into nature.

Opal is constantly observing social patterns and body language to make himself as approachable as possible. He will hunch down most of the time to not seem imposing, and all around tries to be as “likable” as he can despite his appearance. He will not change his appearance for someone to like him more, only if he wants to look different.

What does your character think is the true meaning of life?

Opal believes the meaning of life is to experience as much of life as possible, the good and the bad, and take risks. To be alive is to risk the possibility of it ending. But morally to be a good and helpful person.

I always imagine Opal has mostly a sent of Petrichor (earth after it rains) but that behind that there is always a faint smell of decay or smokiness. He does like perfumes tho so if he’s wearing one of those...yknow he smells like perfume.

Opal grew up in the High Forest beneath the Star Mount in Faerun, with his adopted elvish family.

Blue, Purple, Pink. Opalescent colors.

Opal will save everyone. Not try, will.

Opal is completely Pathos, I’m quite sure.

Either to make sure one particular person lived forever, or that another particular person died and could never come back.

Opal has quite a unique signature use of cure wounds and inflict wounds, but he’d probably say his favorite is healing word bc he gives advice to heal people. The description for how he casts vampiric touch is also quite nice too.

How does your character feel about keeping secrets from the rest of the party?

Opal actually has written in his journal “A man who is nothing but a pile of secrets is incredibly dull”

What type of creature in the world is your character the most intrigued by?

The undead, he finds them fascinating in how they all are so different. If he learns what a lich is, that would be incredibly interesting.

When they were a child, what did your character want to be, or think they were going to be, when they grew up?

Opal tried to be a ranger and a druid of the tribe but neither worked. He was happy being a treecutter and woodcarver though! He was stronger than everyone else and he was very good at chopping down trees and working with wood.

I can actually answer this bc it’s the same no matter what. Opal considers himself in a relationship with Zemtris, and so would not explore other relationships of that manner, romantic or sexual, unless Zemtris asked him to do so.

If somebody (an NPC, someone from their backstory, etc.) your character trusts/loves asked your character to do something against the party’s best interest, who would they side with?

If it was Zemtris he would do anything -unless- it’s conflicted with something Zemtris has told Opal to do before. Otherwise Opal probably would side with the party, theres a reason he’s with them now and the person from his past isn’t.

Does your character value their own best interest more than the party’s?

Opal definitely believes he puts everyone else ahead of himself, and its true to a point, but I know that Opal does all of that bc his goal is to spread the will of Zemtris, so helping others is helping himself.

What decision would the party have to make in order for your character to consider splitting off from the group?

Opal really doesn’t like someone that purposefully avoids his advice, and got angry with his party for, in his opinion “needlessly killing people” 

How does your character imagine the way they will die?

Opal thinks he’s going to die every damn day and sure as hell hopes its an exciting one.

What is your character’s greatest achievement?

I think he really admires that he built his first church on that hill all by himself. He cut down the trees and dragged them up the hill and carved the planks and everything. It definitely took him a few years to do so.

Is your character willing to risk the well-being of others in order to achieve their goal?

That is his greatest conflict that he has not had to deal with yet.

What is your character’s opinion on killing others?

He understands it is necessary, but normally waits until they’ve tried to kill him before he goes for it. If the other party he is fighting is very aware that this is a battle to the death and they agree to it, he has no qualms with doing it.

Opal hasn’t gotten to try many things, I think his favorite would be some kind of hearty stew like meal, something very filling, and as a drink probably some juice of an exotic fruit.

Incredibly, he’ll give away everything he has that he doesn’t absolutely need. 

What is your character the most envious about, regarding anyone in the party?

I think he’s envious of some other people’s natural charisma, he thinks its harder to get people to trust him sometimes.

Opal would normally elect to believe both people to some extent? But I mean he could just do an insight check, he’s pretty good at it ;)

So whenever I play opal I start him out as a cis man who considers himself in a relationship with Zemtris, romantic and sexual, however that works. If a character teaches Opal about being nonbinary, Opal identifies more with that, as he realizes he always considered Zemtris a “they” if Opal experiments mostly with other mortals however, he would identify as a male leaning pansexual. He would also be polyamorous.

What is your character’s biggest pet peeve?

People who use overly flowery language to complicate what should be a simple conversation. He hates making something simple more complicated than it has to be, and most of the time Opal thinks things can be more simple than they are.

Opal goes through any journey with the party in kind of...a strange aloofness. He’s just there to help until the story starts being about him, in which case he gets very very aware.

Opal doesn’t like secrets much but understands they’re necessary sometimes. He’d trust whoever gave him a really good secret to keep. And since people tend to do that with Opal, he’d default to whoever gave it the most openly to trust him.

Absolutely nothing would change except that Opal would be incredibly excited and happy to see if it REALLY DOES happen this time.

He doesn’t really -want- to forget anything, even the bad memories. He thinks they are the reason he’s here today.

Opal actually considered going...fighter? He was in waterdeep and thought that competing in the arena would get him a lot of people interested in him, which is a great segue into getting people to believe in Zemtris. So, learn to fight, get fame, get followers!

God I think he actually would like cowboy media, and would like people like..John Marston? But also he’d like all the preachers. Maybe he’d like the show preacher. He’d also like...hellboy. If opal lived in modern times I dont think he’d stop watching movies.

I dont know how unusual of a “talent” raising the dead is in DnD...it’s not a like “look I’m double jointed!!” kind of thing either...I dont know!!

Opal believes you have to follow before you can lead. He will lead one day but that means he will follow today.

Opal is not Opals birth name, duh. His birth name given to him was Finley Lemnis, both variations of the infinity symbol. (Finley, Fin, Infinity) and its official name, the Lemniscate (Lemnis). Opal took the name Opal because of the Opalescent scars he received, and Opalized wood is the first signs he saw of Zemtris, so he calls himself The Opal Prophet, or just Opal for short.

Hopes it’s exactly the same as life just goes on forever.

Opal distrusts anyone who dodges any kind of question or gives fruity answers instead of just being straight up with him.

He likes to make snap judgements about people, because he figures if he does that, then whether he’s right or wrong, their reaction to his snap judgement eliminates 50% of the possibilities about a person. This however is rude sometimes.

I like to imagine Elvish is actually his first language, he knows giant...inherently by bloodline? Or Zemtris gifted him with the language of his bloodline? He learned sylvan in his training in the forest to try and be a druid, and the next language he would learn is celestial.

Necromancy- in my opinion healing magic should also count as necromancy bc it’s defined as “controlling the energies of life and death” but healing is evocation for some reason I dont know why.

Listen to yourself as much as you listen to others.

Alternia, Beforus, or AU: Alternia

Themes/Story: The co-founder of the rebellion, she was originally being trained to labor as a Beefgrub Slaughterer, destined to become a chef for garbage dispensable lowblood ships. Her intense empathy made this a miserable job that she just couldn’t wait to get out of. On the day she left with Achsaw, she communed with the Beefgrubs to have them rise up in rebellion and killed the overseeing drones. Now she acts as a sort of animal handler for the rebellion. She rounds up animals to provide food and supplies (without having to kill them, like cluckbeast ova, baabeast/beefgrub dairy products, woolbeast material, rabbit fur) as well as rescuing mistreated lusii and training her fauna friends for combat. Her theme is largely (Farm) Animals Are Friends and Direct Action.

Denham is the surname of a voice actor who played Snowball, the more ethical pig from Animal Farm, in a film adaptation. Uptarm is a reference to Upton Sinclair, who wrote The Jungle, as well as the ARM (Animal Rights Movement).

Personality:  To most people who don’t know her she comes off as pretty angry. She’s blunt and she’s mad and she’s not afraid to speak her mind, even if it can cause conflict. If someone messed up, or has a flaw, or is just being a douchebag, she’s going to inform them in the most direct and harshest way. She doesn’t mean to be rude, she’s just doing it in the best interest of change. Whether she thinks people are really ignorant and just need to be set straight or whether she thinks they need to be knocked down a dozen pegs, she’s here to let them know. 

She can also be hardheaded. When she makes a decision, she’s set on it. Come hell or high water, she’s going to carry through on it. She can have a tendency towards the reckless. If an opportunity arises to do a little wrecking shit, she can’t pass on the chance. She’s willing to take immediate risks and willing to take big risks. This puts her in occasional tension with Gchaos, as their perspectives on the advancement of the rebellion can be pretty opposed. 

The truth of the matter is that down in her heart she’s a sweetie. When you get to know her, she’s like an affectionate big sister. She’ll still rib you, but she cares. And she’s always there to talk. She likes to be close to people and really does crave affection. She’s the friendly cuddly sort, so you’re likely to find her lounging over her pal’s laps, or hugging them, or messing with their hair. 

She’s highly sympathetic and empathetic and feels a lot of pain for others, trolly and beasty alike. She wants to make shit better for the people who are suffering and she wants to do it immediately. 

Interests: Animal husbandry, animal grooming, animal training, just. Animals she loves ‘em. She likes to practice accurately mimicking animal sounds. Long, hot baths. Sappy romantic comedies. Big dinners. Anaerobic exercise. A little bit (or a lot a bit) of mayhem. 

Title: Sylph of Time. I picked Sylph mostly to try to balance out the number of passive classes. But also because the passive creation of timeflow is an interesting concept to me. Because Time is all about fighting, it certainly does fit her. Her tendency to create conflict and attempt to constantly enact change does fit with their sign. But it’s also the sort of sign that might encourage her to calm down and consider how her decisions are impacting the people around her.  (I’m going to talk about the Time/Blood split here: Because both have potential for your character, and I think is where she needs the most work conceptually.) (The Blood/Breath inversion is traditionally the domain of Bronze (check Tavros and Dammek for our True Canon Bronzes, and Blood has direct ties to Lusii and to the hemospectrum.) Dream Planet: I selected Derse for her sign, but I must admit to being conflicted. (I feel like you can do Derse with this character, but she’s gotta get a little more layered, a slight bit more reclusive with her inner self. She has the Dersite dissatisfaction and rebellion down pat, and she does have the core of being someone else on the inside. Maybe she’ll need a bit more paranoia or jumpiness? Constantly waiting for the other shoe to drop and the Condesce come down on them.)

Design Stuff: I wanted to make it look like she was wearing a nude lipstick, the kind ppl use to take their lips closer to their skin color. Bold brows. Denim vest in her gf’s color and some riding pants + riding boots. (Minor comment but: the way those boots are lined made me immediately think she was wearing socks with sandals. Do with this as you wish.)

Name (preferably include how you came up with it and why):

Peptoe Bizmal, she was named as a joke, her name came before her design, me and a friend were joking on how Peptoe Bizmal was a valid troll name so we used it, also Peptoe is fuchsia and pepto is pink.

OKAY, this name is very funny, naturally, but it’s also like… kinda random. So we have a few options here. 

1) We can either change her name to something themeatic like… Evnesc Turnen (a reference to Evanescence and the former lead singer of Nightwish, Tarja Turunen). Or like… Jkilla Ebonee (a reference to Jay Killa from Vampires Everywhere! and, of course, Ebony Darkness Dementia Raven Way). 

2) We can KEEP Peptoe Bizmal, but we have to make it fit her theme somehow. Sooo… Pepto-Bismol, otherwise known as Bismuth subsalicylate, is a medicine that is used to help people obvs, but that is also Kinda Toxic. As with all medicines, repeated use is bad. So maybe we can throw it into her themeing personality…wise? Like maybe she’s a great person to be around occasionally (teaberry-flavored personality and all) but if you spend too long with her she can turn toxic on ya real fast. Scene kid DRAMA, y’know. I think if the name Peptoe Bizmal is kept, you’ve GOTTA pull in more Bubblegum Pink, though. When you go Bismol you go full Bismol.

Personality:

She’s the highest up so she’s a bit snobby, but is just genuinely friendly most of the time, but she can get snippy and rude if something gets her to be offensive, she kinda sees herself as the best due to being a fuchsia, but she tries to ignore the fact that when she reaches adulthood, she’ll lose the battle against condy, she also tries to act “random” and “quirky” matching that persona she gave herself.

Oh super convincing for a Scene Themed Character. Like I said above maybe she could be a liiil on the toxic side. Like, scene-kid era impulsive lying to be more impressive. Myspace Drama Causing Fool. If you hang out with her for a little while she can be great if kinda… awkward, but her deeper internal feelings of superiority and also general natural can just kinda make you either nauseous or just frustrated after too long 2gether. Best taken in small doses. 

I also like the idea that she’s nervous about the Condy thing. Is that why she built this persona? Is she just trying to live it up while she still can? Is it REBELLION against the system but she’s fuchsia so she doesn’t Actually know how to rebel against the system so she does it with eccentric fashion? That’s a great idea. You can expand a lot on that conceit. A character who feels trapped in a situation w/ no way to fight against it can often try to exert control in odd ways.

Interests:

She likes what is considered weird, creepy, and unusual, as well as horrifying cute items too, she likes east alternian animation since not everyone likes it and it’s considered quirky for her to like it as well as she likes emo bands like troll mcr, p!atd, and fob, she finds it fun to go find abandoned places and just hang out there, she likes collecting plushies of not cute things.

This is fun. I wonder if she might be interested in lowblood culture in general then? Or at least interested in co-opting its image a little bit. I mean, if she’s into creepy things and acting Super Quirky and Edgy, she might actually be really into the like, rustblood scene of Ghost Seein’. A lot of younger scene kids during the Scene Boom were really into that habit of pretending they had psychic powers and were really into ghosts. That’s something you could play around with, the idea of her Pretending she TOTALLY has psychic powers like a rust, for sure!!! Yeah she can SUPER talk to the dead. If she likes breaking into abandoned places, she could like hunting for ghosts, too.

Title:

Honestly I miiight chalk her down as a Knight of Heart? She’s got a Whole lotta soul, a whole lotta identity, a whole lotta personhood and doesn’t really know what to do with it or how to utilize her Own self. Instead she relies on redistributing facades and putting up masks. Gotta learn to tune into her REAL feelings instead of hiding them. 

Land:

Land of Reflection and Overgrowth.

Overgrowth definitely feels a lil too Lifey for my liking. If I had to pick kind of just aesthetically/themeatically, I might say the Land of Bismuth and Parades. Bismuth is another callback to Pepto-Bismol, and Parades is, OF COURSE, a reference to Welcome to the Black Parade.

I obvs can’t replicate your really great style in sprite form, but here I go. From the top down: 

Hair: The bleached blonde aesthetic just doesn’t work on trolls, so I went with what I kind of assume is similar to a bleached strip in troll culture? Blood Colored Fluff at the back of her hair. I kept the red stripes, but I added the classic Scene Kid Raccoon Pattern. 

Face: Since she already had so much color going on, I brought the eye makeup back to that classic Scene Kid Dark Smokey Eye With The Heavy Shadow Under. She also got a Duck Face style lip and both gold snakebites and a gold nose bridge piercing. I added a plug earring on her right fin, because plugs are def associated w/ the scene look that this era Draws From. 

Outfit: I brought the shirt down to dark grey just to keep that color balance you were going for. Her belt got gold studs instead of silver and you may notice that she has a raccoon tail pinned to her belt, as was (and maybe still is) common for Scene Kids. Except hers is like. An actual lusus tail. Like she actually took it from another person’s lusus. Don’t worry about it. I brought her skirt to a Rustblood Red to emulate that idea I was talking about, of her ripping off and exploiting lowblood aesthetics. 

Shoes/socks: I wanted to keep the sock colors neutral here esp because there’s so little space to work with, so she gets mismatched stripes and checkers in black and white. And her converse have become Pepto-Bismol Pink.

hi!! this character is part of a set of 12 (encompassing all canon classes, blood colours, & aspects) i made over the past month or so in celebration of homestuck being a decade old. they’re all based on various vocaloid songs. (*rubs my evil little hands together* I don’t think you understand how excited I am for this. I get to combine all of my teenage interests together in one place!) (You say you’ve got 12 Trolls coming so I’m going to base all of my classpect comments on making your characters better fit the Titles you’ve assigned them!)

Alternia or Beforus or some type of AU?An AU Alternia! Same planet at base, entirely different backstory with different ancestors & different population & rules and all that jazz.

Name (preferably include how you came up with it and why): Cimova Vienne. “Cimova” is from The Czech word for “decimate,“ decimovat. "Vienne” is from the Viennese Waltz, the dance style!

Theme: she’s based on the song World’s End Dancehall! while it’s open for a lot of interpretation in regards to what’s really going on there, my own basic interpretation is simply “the world is ending, so instead of stand in terror, celebrate what life you have left and dance.” so that’s the interpretation she’s based on. (You even linked the lordxwillie video I’m getting flashbacks to being 13 right now god. WED Is still a bop and Wowaka is a genius though.)

Age:9 sweeps / 19 human years old

Fetch Modus:Hop & Step. It’s essentially DDR or a real-life rhythm minigame of sorts – each captchalogued item is assigned a separate movement sequence; she has to repeat the steps correctly to get the item she wants. Enough screwups and it’ll eject her entire inventory (and she needs enough space to move about, too.)

it’s essentially a stylised line drawing of a person dancing! i prefer not to use the trollcall zodiac for my own trolls, so i tend to make my own or find them while researching lol

Trolltag:[DD] devantDenouement. “devant” is a dance term meaning ‘in front of;’ “denouement” essentially means “finale.” so essentially it just means she’s “in front of the end.” like it’s just in sight?

Quirk:Proper senNtenNce capitalizationN ~ Separates words with “~” inNstead of periods, doubles the letter “n” to give a sort of feeling of ascenNsionN ~

Special Abilities (if any):none! well, sort of – she gets vague prophetic visions on occasion, as explained in the backstory. but it’s not caste-related. (Classic Doom. Also remember that Tyrians have INCREDIBLE physical toughness and psychic resistance- they’re the only ones who can survive the Vast Glub.)

Lusus: An enormous sea monster! Sort of like a sea hydra, with multiple heads. Partly scaly in a pattern reminiscent of a leopard’s spots, with a ring of material almost resembling a lion’s mane at the base of the neck where every head meets. it’s inspired by the Beast of the Sea from the Book of Revelations!

Personality:Surprisingly upbeat because of her own personal philosophy that you should live every day to the fullest. If you’re bogged down by nothing but your own attitude and something happens, you’re going to die with only regret! So she goes out of her way to avoid that. She’s pretty lighthearted, loves to joke around (even if her jokes can have a bit of a meaner streak to them), and tries to extend as much empathy as her limited highblood understanding can allow, though she still slips up easily. It’s hard to catch your own tone sometimes. She’s also got a pretty short fuse despite her nicer demeanour and tends to crack easily because of all the pressure she’s under. (Positive Doom players are a rarity but this is definitely one of the ways to do it! I think a big thing she’s missing here is some fatalism. She’s a Doom player, a Seer, and a Prospit Dreamer, so her having a distinct idea of Fate as a thing you can’t battle against is definitely something that would happen.) (My suggestion here is to make her something of a positive nihilist? Like “We’re all gonna die someday- what’s the point in delaying the inevitable when we go and do whatever we want and have fun!”)

Interests: Dance (every & any kind, though she actually prefers studying & researching the various forms of Alternian dance to actually performing a majority of them. she likes actually dancing ballet & ballroom style), court etiquette due to her extensive amount of time in the presence of the Alternian court, treasure-hunting and deep-sea diving. She’s also got an interest in risk-taking and risky activities as a whole and does a lot of things for a thrill. The one (1) thing she is actively banned from is FLARPing, so she just has her friends tell her stories about that (and adores them, so it’s an interest in its own right.) (Why though? Because she’s an Heiress? I’m not finding much of a canon justification for her not being allowed to Flarp, but it’s been a while since it’s come up, admittedly.)  (Doom is associated with Coding and strict rules, but I actually think you could use her love of Dance as a Doom extension! She particularly likes Ballroom and Ballet you mentioned, both forms with rigorous training and technique and a colloquial tie to rigid society!)

Title:Seer of Doom (As a Seer, she’ll passively and fully comprehend the death and inevitability that will follow and haunt her for the rest of her life. This extends to rules and game design, so within Sgrub she’d be practically the ultimate rules lawyer! She’d know every particular innately, every weird rules interaction.) (This, of course, extends to the Inverse, the Witch of Life: Her incredible understanding would allow her to exploit loopholes for her and her team in order to change how the grow as people!)

Land:Land of Stairways & Dead-Ends. A maze of a land that leaves you climbing and descending with no real end or way to get around in sight, leaving the wandering consorts desolate and lost. Her quest would be to basically find a way through the land & clear out / map out a path from beginning to end. (Lands aren’t my forte, admittedly; these are hard to come up with!)

Dream Planet:Prospit

Backstory For Context: as one of last-hatched the Tyrian bloods that wasn’t a direct descendant to the current empress, she was originally raised with the expectation that she’d simply become a high-ranking member of troll society without getting any chance at the Alternian throne. However, in adolescence she started having vague, prophetic visions of doom, death, and unavoidably grim circumstances. Unbeknownst to her, this was her designated abilities as a Seer of Doom manifesting in a latent sort of manner. Through these vague, occasional visions and her distribution of warnings to the trolls involved, she caught the eye of the empress & her personal court, and was eventually granted the privilege of becoming her heiress due to this skill. Despite not being her true descendant, or really anyone hatched near said descendant’s birth. So she’s been getting used to the pressures of being raised as an heiress recently. (The one thing that’s confusing me about this is where the Fuchsia Bloodlust went? We know Feferi doesn’t feel it with quite the intensity Meenah does, but it’s a very big concern for your character who lives around other Fuchsias.)

Name (preferably include how you came up with it and why): Lucrii Olproo. It’s a jumbling of the roots of the words ‘oporopolist’ meaning fruit-seller and ‘ruricolous’ meaning living in the country or in fields. It has to do with her farming/fruit theme

I like this name because it’s interesting. I like the idea of like… you bring up vaporwave as one of her interests, so this is expanding on that, but part of vaporwave culture is like, irony, and also anti-consumerism sentiment. So the idea of her being this kind of… self-sustaining health nut who grows and drinks her own Pressed Juices but struggles between being ironically (and a little condescendingly) ~anti-consumerist~ despite her low-nobility privilege but also being interested in Aesthetics. 

Not to say she’s gotta be written as a bad person or anything but the callout post comment you make below always makes me think of like Accidental Performative #Wokeness. Good intentions all around but sometimes fails to think things through from the perspective of those lower on the hemospectrum. Good at calling out bad behavior but also a little too invested in the Optics of it all.

Symbol and meaning: Libsci. I got it from the Extended Zodiac test when taking it as if I were her. It means she’s a teal blood prospit dreamer with the life aspect

Life aspects do go often with Farmers, and those interested in change!

Lusus: normal fucking horse

For some reason this made me snort. I mean…. Horses are farm animals. But it almost makes me wonder like di- did she just take this horse. Like, for the aesthetic. Like she HAS another lusus like a barn owl but it’s SO not on vogue to devour other people’s lusii so she adopted this bereaved horse. 

Personality: energetic and bubbly, but will throw down if need be. Puts great value in accuracy, and if someone is wrong holds no qualms about correcting them, regardless of situation. This value is what generally leads to her throwing down. Respects hard wok but does not disrespect those who choose not to engage in it. Honestly if she existed in the current climate she’d be a callout post creator and junkie.

I Love this character setup a lot, but as I said above I def think it could use some extending on. Like yeah she’s a good person and she’s willing to swiftly correct people but she’s also like, the kind of person who’s willing to do a little bit of rude public “ownage” to look good. 

And maybe the sort who takes on like, Lifestyles (like the whole pressed juice craze I hear about on the radio All the time) and to criticize others for not taking on the same (even if they don’t actually have the Option to–) like the thoughtless sort of vegan. She MEANS well but sometimes rustbloods don’t want to hear it. 

Good person, hard worker, good at calling others out, qqquestionable ally.

Interests: juice, vaporwave, agriculture, roleplay

If she’s a callout post lover she could also be interested in social reform! It’s good for the whole heir of life vibe, too. Someone trying to passively change the flow of life, growth and development.

This is a really neat premise! I’m always a fan of fantroll stories that take advantage of the fact that alternia can do spacetravel.

You’ve already got her on that Demokratia list page, so I don’t know if you’re looking for name replacements, but I think naming her Plumer Iadges would be really funny. It’s a reference to both Plumeria the team skull character (since Plumeria is a “big sister” type character and fills a similar role as your girl here) and Purl Ridges, a type of stitch used in knitting, which is one of your girl’s hobbies! 

Age: around the alternian equivalent of 17 or 18

That’s gonna put her at ~8 sweeps.

Strife Specibus: bayonetkind

Hmm. Bayonets are usually associated with soldiers. I think if you wanted to fit her theme as a criminal, you’d use spraypaintkind, or maybe even Batkind. This works both for the criminal image And a pun on the fact that Plumeria likes to use Golbats/Crobats, lol.

Fetch Modus: quilt modus- the items are put together in a square formation, only ones on the outside can be uncaptchalogged. The more important the item is the deeper it is in the modus.

I think innovativeTrollster would be pretty funny. Or experimentalTrollster! 

Quirk: puts parentheses around all her (Y)s, and uses stereotype gangster terms like “yoyoyo” or “its ya boy” or “yuh, check it”

Beee careful here, because stuff like “it’s ya boy” isn’t “gangster terms,” it’s just African American Vernacular English. AAVE already gets associated strongly with criminality and it’s a bad & racist media stereotype. Hussie himself is very guilty of this brand of racism, and it’s something we don’t wanna emulate! I think you can still use it, you just have to tread cautiously and make sure you understand the meanings and aren’t just using it as a Funny Prop, because it’s a dialect of english, not just a bunch of nonsense to be thrown around for goofs.

It’s possible to have “tough” and “criminal” character w/o relying on these stereotypes, too. You could just have her talk rough in general or use a lot of insults in a loving way (like australians love to do) instead. Or you could do something really stupid and fun like making her use archaic criminal slang. 

Special Abilities (if any):nah

All purples have chucklevoodoos! But you don’t gotta putt hem to use so they can be functionally nah anyways.

Guardian/pets?: Her lusus is essentially the dragon from The NeverEnding Story. I think its name was falkor?

I was confused at first, but y’know what I think his loving and hopeful nature does vibe with Melaki’s hope title later, so I’ll let it slide. Purples do have aquatic mammals for lusii, though, so you gotta make this like, a version of Falkor that can also dive underwater. Maybe with a fishtail like Gamzee’s lusus. Mermaid Falkor. 

Personality: melaki is a gangster girl, who goes around committing dumb crimes with her fellow clowns. She follows her gut instinct a lot, almost too much. To the point of injury in some situations(I.E. that leg of hers). Shes usually the momma person of the group, making sure her crime friends make it out alright. You could probably compare her to a team skull member or smthn

I like that a lot! I definitely drew on the Team Skull vibe a little more than you probably predicted, haha. Criminal with a heart of gold is a trope I enjoy, so I love her. Is she part of the Clown Cult or is that not much of a thing on Demokratia? You should ask about that if you haven’t, because juggalo culture could also be a good informer for researching for how to play this character!

Interests: trolling, vandalism, stealing, knitting, musicals (usually keeps those last 2 to herself)

Does she like stealing like petty theft or stealing like burglary because those are two different crimes. Something to #think about.

Title:seer of hope.

Understander of hope… Knower of hope. I don’t know if I think that’s quite fitting for someone as get-up-and-go as her. Fighty, energized, definitely not the sit back and learn type. If you want her to Learn to be a little more passive, this could probably fit, but as it stands I think she’s probably a Maid of Hope, mmmaybe a Sylph.

Why faux fur I’m laughing. I’m sure there’s a reason… But all I can think of is vans with shag carpet in the back. Land of Shag Carpet and Chapels. That’s mostly a joke suggestion, but either way, love this.

I Fully Agree that she’s definitely a prospit player but why’ve you sprited her in a dersite outfit– nevermind I won’t question it. 

Onto design!:

Your submitted picture was a little too blurry to work on directly, so I had to rebuild her. I wanted to make her makeup a little more unique, so I based it off of Plumeria’s eye look with the harsh wing and then the greys and whites around the eye. And then I made the outer grey look like Guzma’s interestingly shaped glasses. Everything else was kept largely the same. I gave her same horns, because assymetrical horns always just feel a little weird w/o design reason. And I added a little arrow to her sign as a reference to Caprittanius, the purple/void/prospit sign.

FIRST: Alternia or Beforus or some type of AU? Our fansession takes place on Alternia, but with the only difference being that trolls are allowed to be older before being set off for their ordeals. Also, while I’m not sure in regular Alternia whether or not there’s more than one mother grub, in our session there is.

I still need to play more extended universe stuff to be sure of that, but I know for example that Kanaya’s mother grub And at least one other must’ve existed at once because Kanaya’s mother grub declined to brood, which means it’s possible for multiple to be alive at once. So afaik there’s at least canon justification to make multiple exist.

How about some Bone Reading/Bone Scrying. Eve was said to be created from the rib of Adam, so bones are a good themeatic connection. She could keep the bones of the monstrous creatures she kills and toss them, the landing pattern determining what item comes out of her inventory.  Blood color: Jade

Symbol and meaning: I designed her symbol based on the tree from Eden in the Adam and Eve story. Same for her horns, which is supposed to appear like trees with newly formed branches.

The horns also look kinda like insects, which works out well!

Trolltag: greenAmazoness, referring to her green thumb and the fact that she’s a warrior.

Quirk: Bakita’s still a pretty new oc for me so I’d love if you can help me out here!

Quirks are usually my least favorite thing to do, so I understand. I’ve looked at the quirk trends for Jades, and it seems they have a tendency to have the most normal/Standard kind of typing, they usually use proper grammar but inconsistent capitalization and punctuation, and they like to put Emphasis on words. For that reason, I think you could go with something simple. 

She types with relatively proper grammar but slacks on punctuation because who needs that 

And when she needs to ->EMPHASIZE<- something she points at it with spears and capitalizes it

If you wanted a branch/tree reference you could also do something like her trying to hold several branching conversations at once, which is more a social quirk and less a typing one but is still interesting to read

Special Abilities (if any): She has no psychic powers, just really, really strong. Like, Equius strong.

Lusus: Since cloistered jadebloods have to take care of their mother grub, Bakita doesn’t have a lusus. Instead, she was raised by older teens who were followers and worshippers of her ancestor. This causes her to feel a great sense of honor and responsibility due to being raised as the future leader of her cloister, as well as stress. The jade bloods raising her didn’t develop a close relationship with Bakita, instead putting her on a pedestal left by her ancestor, until they either died or were sent off planet. Bakita feels a lot of pressure from them to be as good as her ancestor in terms of leadership and importance.

I Love this backstory.

Hive: Bakita lives in a primitive jade-blood colony that takes care of a mother-grub and wrigglers, in a brooding cavern. She lives in a shared hivestem with the other jades in her colony, and has her own part of the cave to herself. It’s very homely, with little to no technology aside from her computer, which is pretty beat up and old due to mishandling and Bakita’s frustration, on a shabby desk made of stone. It’s dimly lit, with several torches hung up on the walls, and a pile of animal hide she uses as a bed. There’s a lot of young adult romance novels stashed in the pile as well, recently given to her by online friends. She has many plants scattered around her room, mostly thistles and bdelliums in hanging pots from the walls and ceiling. Next to her door, she has a rack to put her weapons in, which range from bats, to halberds, to spears. She also has a punching bag in a corner of her room, made out of animal hide, and badly damaged.

I can’t believe you don’t have an apple tree up in here. Some sacred one that her ancestor planted and that isn’t supposed to be touched… Miraculously growing in the dark of the cave despite all odds…

Personality: Bakita is a friendly person, and she is defined by being fiercely loyal and responsible. To the jades in her cloister, she is an excellent leader. Having grown up in a wild and dangerous forest, she had to learn to defend herself, her fellow jades, and the grubs. Bakita has had numerous scrapes with monstrous creatures, which have left her with many scars across her body.

Bakita is, like most jade bloods, very motherly towards others. To grubs and wrigglers, she loves to coddle and baby them, and considers the grubs under her care her motivation to keep going, and learned to be stronger in order to protect them from the monstrous animals that are common around the area. When it comes to her fellow jadebloods in her tribe, she is very protective of them as well. Though while she considers the other jadebloods friends, Bakita feels a wall between her and them, caused by Bakita’s caretakers focusing on giving Bakita’s attention rather than the others. Some of the other jades secretly resent Bakita, and talk behind her back, which saddens Bakitam due to considering them her family.

When it comes to interacting with others, she’s pretty chill. She almost never is outwardly mad at anyone, and lets direct insults be ignored most of the time. Bakita loves to tease and joke with younger trolls, and due to being older than pretty much everyone she currently interacts with, tries to act like the wise individual her ancestor was, and offers advice and consolation to those who need it.

The tribe is also very dependent on Bakita in terms of survival, her being the strongest jade blood that helps steer predators away from themselves and the grubs, and put more work on her than themselves. Bakita has no problem with this, but ends up having feeling like she has an overwhelming responsibility for things out of her control. She feels very irritated when she can’t do anything to help, and hates the feeling of being helpless.

Having a large sense of duty to everyone else, Bakita considers the well being of others to be more important than hers. To her, the scars that have grown plentiful on her body is more than fine when it comes to help protecting those she cares about. If everyone else is fine, then she’s fine.

I adore herrrr. I think you also need to like…. Life is about Growth, Development, The Energy Of Change. And clearly she’s in a stifled system so she can struggle with that, but if you want her to be a life aspect or to develop into a life aspect, esp as a knight, you need that tension under the surface, that drive for Difference, that drive for New, For Change. As someone themed after Eve, she has to have that curiosity. She wants the knowledge of life, she wants to grow, she wants to expand, she wants to reach her potential. Even if something like anxiety is holding her back, life has to be there breathing under her skin.

Interests: Bakita is a strong and athletically gifted woman, and uses her prowess to hunt and fight beasts that live around her area, and uses the fights she wins as a method of reassurance that she’s strong enough to protect others.

She is an amateur gardener, having grown numerous flora around the brooding caverns. Though, she’s very bad at it, and her plants often die.

Psst, her ancestor could’ve been good at gardening to give her something to feel she’s lacking in, Ancestor Insecurity Hours.

Bakita has an interest in young adult novels, some which were given to her by friends she made online.

Ancestor: Due to not having a better name, I’ve just called her The First. The First was one of the first trolls ever hatched in recorded history. One of the first jades to care for trolls in the brooding caverns, she witnessed the development of troll culture and society, and lived for well over a century, and a few more due to awakening her rainbow drinker capabilities. Initially amazed at the evolving of trolls, she soon noticed the hemospectrum starting to take control of everyday life. Disgusted by the brutal treatment of lowbloods and the extinction of the limebloods, she stole a matriorb from a dying mother grub, and went to an isolated cavern away from troll society to create a community away from the hemospectrum. Her colony was successful for a long while, until some imperial soldiers found it. Ordered by the heiress to kill them all, all that was left of the colony was the First, her fellow jades, and a mother grub. In exchange for her own life, the First pleaded for the jades and the mother grubs to continue living. The Empress complies (not Condy, another heiress that came before her), under the condition that all the grubs raised by them will be sent to another city with their lusus to live, and won’t grow up in the caverns. The jadebloods agreed, and the First was executed. The jadebloods then continued their work of raising grubs under the empire’s watch, though now taught new jadebloods to consider the First as a figurehead of worship and admiration, a lesson that carried over the the jadebloods that raised Bakita.

Bakita herself greatly respects the First, and molds her morals and her putting others before her mindset from her ancestor. She holds great insecurity in not holding up the expectations put on her by the First.

To fight the name rule, you could switch this up to call her The Firstone. 8 letter name rule! You could also do The Thoracic. A reference to the thorax, the part of the body in which the heart and lungs lie. The ribcage, the origin of life and humanity (trollmanity?).

Title: Knight of Life

I definitely think this is a good title for her.

Land: ????

The Land of Good and Evil is a very cheesy but apt one for a character based around Eve. Snakes as consorts…

Dream Planet: Derse

Voice Claim: Definitely Bismuth from Steven Universe.

Trivia: Bakita isn’t very good with technology. Although the brooding caverns is equipped with minimal technology, she is still very primitive and as a result gets frustrated with tech due to her lack of knowledge about it.

FIRST: Alternia or Beforus or some type of AU? Alternia, Hiveswap era

Name (preferably include how you came up with it and why): Sofacy Lavern (Sofacy is a cyber-espionage group and Laverna is a goddess of thieves, cheats and the underworld, both because she is a hacker)

Oh I love this, Especially w/ the cyber-espionage bent because Laverna was specifically invoked to help thieves keep their cover. This also makes me maybe want to put a Thieves’ Cant spin on her symbol. 

Age: 7 sweeps

Strife Specibus: glovekind (for the weapon I was thinking a cyberpunk like glove that has a keyboard so she can connect to any device on the go if she has to)

I kind of like the idea of her having like… a technokinetic branch of telekinesis, something more mirco/electrokinetic that she syncs through this glove to allow her to refine her abilities. Good for hacking, can also release a static shock in an emergency situation but that’d fry her system for a hot minute, so it should be used Sparingly. 

Fetch Modus: Yeah I’m really bad at these

You know those Hacking Puzzles in video games that are almost always like this- 

Each of her items gets locked behind one of those and she has to solve it to get the item out.

Symbol and meaning: Armini, sign of the Reconciler

This is definitely good, but I wanna Maaaybe bring in some thieves’ cant inspo when it comes to spriting the symbol on. Maybe. 

Trolltag: crimsonCanker (a canker as in an infection, as a reference to viruses she makes and spreads)

Quirk: u r goin to paY for this lol (Capitalizes Y, uses ‘lol’ and ‘mfw’ frequently and shortens words, all lowercase letters and no punctuation, starts a new row instead of using a period)

Special Abilities (if any): Regular rust abilities, telekinesis and can commune with the dead

Like I said above I like the idea of her kind of having trained and used tech to refine her ability down to being techno/microkinetic, too. Really fine and technological work is a lot easier when you can use your mind powers to do it. 

Lusus: I have no idea I looked for one for a while and I just couldn’t find anything that fit the theme

Hmmm. Maybe a bear? Sofacy comes up in relation to Fancy Bear, so it’d at least be appropriate name-wise. You could probably also go for Chameleon, for the camouflage/espionage angle, but that starts leaning a little voidy. Because of Sollux’s lore worldbuilding about apiculture networking, bees are also associated with Technology and thus doominess. So you could give her a Flightless/Sterile Queen Bee lusus. Her inability to fly would push a doomy feeling because of the metaphorical inability to run and the inability to create new life, which only works narratively since life is doom’s opposite.

Personality: She used to be part of a large anonymous hacking group that taught her everything she knows. They were activists that started with fighting against injustice online but when they moved to fight against Alternia’s oppressive system, starting with the censorship in the mediums of entertainment they all loved, they were seen as a serious threat and were all caught and killed after a slip up. As the only survivor, after watching all of her friends and her lusus die and having her hive destroyed she has become bitter, fearful and fatalistic. She lives in hiding, trying to lay low and has given up serious activism in a mix of nihilism and fear. Her views on Alternia and the spectrum haven’t changed, but it has proven to be too great a foe and has made her jaded. Now she has gone back to shitposting and highlighting people’s ignorance. She is harsh in her call outs, quick to dig up dirt and mock away anyone she sees spewing bad arguments, hypocrisy and lies. Still, she manages to stay as humorous as she can, even though her jokes tend to be either morbid and cynical or just mocking someone. Sofacy is cheeky and smug to hide the fact that, after being burned once, and as much as she wants to speak up again about the serious issues, she is deathly afraid of making a mistake again.

Oh I Love this personality, really strong and solid. It also makes her placement as a Witch of Doom fascinating because it positions her in session in a place where she has to learn to overcome that passive acceptance and fear in order to overcome inevitability, to literally Change the rules and fate itself. 

Interests: The paranormal (ghosts, demons etc.), creepypasta stories and video games (horror games most of all), she also loves scaring people with her prank viruses. If only she enjoyed digging up dirt on people and exposing lies as much as shitpost and memes she’d be a serious threat.

Imagine her in a gossip competition with your Regina George Archetype Troll.

So I’ve done two versions, one with regular Armini and one with the addition of of the “underground entry” symbol into the symbology. 

On the face, I had to add that little lash because Homestuck Style dictates lashes, and I added the eyebags a little more visibly because she’s supposed to be a fearful and traumatized character- she’s gotta look tired. I also did a few proportion edits, but nothing Major. 

Other than that, lots of outline edits for better/more visually appealing contrast!

This guy is probably an alterian troll but I don’t think I’ve ever decided 100% (this takes place in an au without sburb but I will happily include sburb info!)

It’s all good! At this point we mostly ask for aspect/moon to assign an extended zodiac sign. At this point we’re not totally sold on only using Extended Zodiac symbols, but it’s fun to “type” a troll and try to modify their existing symbols to include elements of their sign.

Name- Praxis (derived from Zoopraxiscope an early device for playing moving pictures)

Auteur (straight up a word that means “a filmmaker whose personal influence and artistic control over a movie are so great that the filmmaker is regarded as the author of the movie” )

I think I’m gonna change both of these names because both “praxis” and “auteur” are words you hear in the English language, but I wanna keep the spirit of both names!

My suggestion is Monpon Andret, and I’ll explain my reasoning:

The zoopraxiscope was invented by Eadweard Muybridge, who definitely wins prizes for having the weirdest (weardeast?) goddamn spelling of Edward I’ve ever seen. Last name pronounced like “my bridge.” The oldest surviving silent film is Roundhay Garden Scene, filmed by French inventor Louis Le Prince.  So I took the phrase “my bridge” and translated it to French: mon pont.

Auteurism was popular with 40s French critics, based on the theories of Andre Bazin and Alexandre Astruc, and was dubbed “auteur theory” by Andrew Sarris. That’s a lot of Andres surrounding one theory! Seems like an appropriate way to reference it.

I gotcha! I think it’s a good symbol and I remember there’s a canon indigo sign that’s just a circle with an arrow, so this should be a simple adjustment!

Trolltag- animorphicLarkspur (animorphic being a film term talking about the purposeful distortion of film to make it fit the screen, a reference to how Praxis hides his anger issues to fit a calm picture. Larkspur being a blue flower that is poisonous a reference to Praxis’ work with deadly plants and his own toxic ways.)

Quirk- All sentences trail off, no capitals (ex. i am quite positive that you are a major thorn in my side…)

I like it as a simple quirk. If I may suggest an alternate, maybe something based stylistically off intertitles? Only using brief descriptive bits to “set up” a scene, then enclosing stuff he actually wants to say in quotes. Mostly reacting to others’ actions? And keeping all messages brief, but in full sentences.

Example: On a dark and stormy night…

“Goodness! Did you see that fox jump over that dog?”

The mystery deepens…

Special Abilities (if any)- Praxis has no special abilities other than distain for loud noises

Lusus- An oversized praying mantis, Deadly but unassuming

So far we have seen two canon indigoblood lusii, and they are Arthour and Zebruh’s lusus which is…guess what: a zebra. A sample size of two means nothing, but it may be fun to play with the idea that all indigoblood lusii are horselike. Which is a perfect tie-back to your theme, actually, considering that Eadweard Muybridge’s first go with the zoopraxiscope was an animated horse. Maybe we can go a horse with like, way too many legs, like how it would look if you layered all the frames one atop the other?

Personality- Praxis tries to come off as a quiet calm and unassuming individual in a society full of violence. He very much keeps to himself and craves constant solitude, he is a film buff but even the sound of those can get to him at times, hence his overwhelming interest in silent films. He feels they fill the hole that the avoidance of others bring. He’s very slow moving and sleepy taking everything at his own gruelingly slow pace, he likes plants because they don’t go anywhere and are just as unmoving as him. He has anger issues and agressive outbursts that are often triggered by loud noises, he doesn’t want to be seen as ‘uncivil’ hence the avoidance of sound and those outbursts. He hates being seen as a ruthless high blood.

Ooooh I like it! Interesting angle to take, especially since he’s avoiding the broader highblood stereotype of violence while collapsing into the indigoblood stereotype of being like…WAY too into his hobbies.

Interests- Film, Gardening, Tea, Homemade remedies, and peace and quiet

Title: I haven’t picked one out and am 100% open to suggestions

I kind of think he might be a Knight of Hope? Like he’s drowning in his aspect in the sense that he keeps retreating to the limitless potential of film, but he’s also being a shut-in and reducing his own ability to get out there and live his life! Also ghosting Rage in the form of being a film critic. But he has the potential to step out of his house and bring his vision to others, to inspire!

Also, Hope players are known for their “black and white” thinking, which tickles me.

Land: again no idea

If he doesn’t play SBURB it’s not super relevant, but I like the idea of a Land of Slate and Bells. Full of greys and also he *needs* to make noise to progress through the planet. While the bells give off a nice, round, assonant tone, they also attract nearby monsters.

Dream Planet: Derse

I think that makes him Sagirius, sign of the Bardic! I’ll see what I can do to incorporate that into your symbol!

So this gent didn’t need *too* much tweaking; as is the case sometimes, I mostly just wanted to sprite him for fun and for sport

Glasses - I don’t know what it is but a pair of glasses seems to be the difference between me conceiving this guy as a composer vs. a critic. llemonlum has a nice set that looks suitably Ebert-like, which I felt was a good tie-in.

Symbol - since Sagirius is just a horizontally bisected circle with an arrow coming off the top, it was pretty easy to incorporate into your existing symbol! I made my own stylized film reel, cut it in half, and slapped an arrow on. I also like the bisected reel because critics often come under fire for “tearing a movie apart.”

Color scheme - we’ve seen from existing trolls that indigobloods rep their color quite readily, so I changed them all to the canon indigoblood color. I also adjusted the shirt color because it’s a little too neon a blood color to work well with mid-tone greys.

And that’s it! I like this dude.

Guess I’m posting her since I wasn’t so satisfied with her design to begin with, maybe this gives me a few ideas. This whole session needed revamp after the extended zodiac came out and even thought I did rework it I think I could be better.

AU: Alternia AU, the 4 trolls from this session replace the 12 ones from Homestuck.

Name (preferably include how you came up with it and why):Diskul Dammok. Dis (singular of Disir) is a tittle used in norse myths for females spirits related to death, like the valkyries (which she is mostly based on) one of said valkyries is Skuld, which is also one of the Norns, her name being tied to the concept of responsability. Dis is also a reference to Dis Pater a ctonic god of death. Skuld also sounded similar to skull.

Now, bear with me, her original surname was Dearkk, which was related to Joan of Arc (another big inspirtation for her original concept) and kinda tied to her story arc as a yellowblood psiionicless woman pretending to be a powerfull psiionic man just like her ancestor did back in the day. But this whole concept was scrapped.

Instead her blood color was changed (everyone got their color changed tbh) to olive green and her surname was changed to Dammok as a reference to Damocles, he only saw the good part of being king while ignoring the risks that comes with it (just like she does with the highbloods.)

Okay yeah I like this reckless fighty highblood wannabe I love her

Age:6/7/8 sweeps (I know trolls played the game with 6 but I have a lot of romance going on in the session and maybe it would be less creepy if they were all aged up)

What about just a Scale Modus where she needs to balance two captcha cards with items of similar weight. If she gets it incorrect and puts one much heavier item, the lighter one gets ejected with force. Can be weaponized easily and also calls back to 1) the scales of justice when someone dies and 2) fight matchups.

Blood color: Olive green

Symbol and meaning: Lemini, sign of the Trusted (Olive, Derse, Doom)

I think Doom is a good assignation for someone who is so focused on the hemospectrum, but I don’t know that they’re Dersite, especially given that they don’t seem to have a Plan? That would make her Lemino, Sign of the Sympathetic, which is…an odd title, tbh? But I’m sure she could have an arc that works with that.

How about a Cronus-style quirk of turning o’s into ox’s and x’s into xo’s? Both as a sort of “which rounds have you won?” thing and because it kinda looks like a ref to her symbol.

Lusus: a 2 headed giant dog (think Orthrus)

Works fine, and is also a kind of sad reference to dogfighting :(

Personality: Diskul is not brightest troll out there, that’s for sure, but she is quick on her feet and doesn’t matter how good you think you are strifing, you REALLY don’t want to be on her bad side. She has build herself a name around by being able to takedown anything on a 1on1 (except if mind powers are at play ofc), due to this she has become quiet blunt and violent over the years, in part because she likes the feeling of physically dominating other trolls but also because of her lusus aggresivity.

If you try to talk with her about anything besides the last important match in any kind of alternian wrestling show or street fights she will probably just go away without even waiting for you to finish. That is, unless you happen to be a highblood, since she is scared for her life just like any other lowblood (and since she kinda admires their strenght) she is the perfect highblood enthusiastic. If somehow you get her to tell her opinion on highbloods she will tell you how she truly thinks the hemospectrum is completely true and should be obeyed, even if highbloods don’t even know how easy their lifes are compared to the common folk. Maybe due to the last part she isn’t really a big fan of the idea of being friends or having quadrants with a highblood, her teal friend is as far as she will go (obviously this changes once the session actually starts and she meets this incredibly cute tyrant heiress)

She isn’t really the friendly type, more like the quiet serious one, but really does care about the few friends she has, always being ready to help them getting revenge on any asshole that misstreats them.

She doesn’t really like machines, and it seems to be a mutual hatred since most often than not when she interacts with one it ends up meaning that the machine will explode or catch fire at some point. At least she is not afraid to get her hands dirty doing the manual job. 

Interests: exercising, both by fighting but also things like lifting, running, etc… and also regular sports like cueball arena. She really enjoys the happy moments with her lusus which aren’t a common thing. She likes collecting old battlefield relics, thing like an old sword, a famous gun etc etc but due to her lowblood status she barely has the funds to update her collection once in a blue moon, she is friends with a tealblood that sometimes provides some new pieces for her (another one of the trolls on the session) and a rustblood that is a big history buff (another one of the trolls on the session), she has a blackroom crush and the last one.

I actually like this because right now you have a character who feels a little socially trapped due to her “fate” in the hemospectrum and could eventually learn to use the new rules in SBURB to turn the whole thing on its head.

Land:

How about Land of Tights and Fights? Specializes in battledrome-style fights with colorful costumes, with the Denizen commentating from deep below the crust.

I couldn’t really find a design justification for her eyes being covered like that ESPECIALLY if she’s a fighter (obligatory “Terezi is blind and an excellent fighter” yes I know I know but Justice Is Blind fighting talent isnt. If you’re super attached to it she could maybe be very lucky when it comes to fights, since that’s an as-yet-unconfirmed oliveblood tendency?)

Horns - based on the new symbol which coincidentally also kinda looks like floppy dog ears

Hair - I used two fan-troll templates for this. I edited the bangs to have a cleft like you see in pit bulls, since those are the most common dog to use in dog fights (hence their reputation as a violent breed :C. If you put anyone in a cage for days without food they would most likely attack the first thing they saw, but this is often ignored).

Eyes - just a real simple fan-troll template

Lips - I wanted to emphasize a dip in both the top and bottom of her lips to call back to her symbol, and I changed her fangs because Kanaya’s fang shape is a little too recognizable, and this one gives her prominent canines.

Outfit - gave the new symbol (which kinda looks doglike and the symmetry is a good echo of her lusus’s two heads) and made the buttons on her shoes teal to indicate her teal…friend? I wasn’t sure if she was actually in a quadrant with the tealblood so that’s easy to change if not.

All in all Diskul is a VERY strongly themed troll! Thank you for sharing her!

Hmmm so I am assuming that much like Kazmal you picked letters that sounded nice? If we wanna theme it, the two really obvious culinary cannibals are Hannibal Lecter and Sweeny Todd, so how about Swentd Bellac?

Fetch Modus: i dont really know, something like in order to get an item she would have to list out the main conponents that make up the item

I mean she kills people so how about a good ol’ fashioned Jigsaw Modus? Items are automatically split into mutliple captcha cards you’d need to alchemize the final product, and she’d need to jam stuff together to get it back out. Allows for creativity in creating new items, as well as comedy in combining incorrect ones.

Blood color: indigo

Symbol and meaning: Sagmino (Doom + Prospit) i think she might be better as derse but i honestly dont know

Nah, I think Prospit is a good assignation! She’s someone who’s exploiting existing norms rather than rebelling against them!

Trolltag: no clue

How about cookettishManeater? The first being a mashup of “cook” and “coquettish,” and the second being a work that can either mean a cannibal or a femme fatale. Gives a nice double meaning so her trolltag can make her come off as a flirt when she’s really a murderer.

Quirk: she replaces all her Os and 0s with ° Because of temperature, which plays a big role in cooking

Special Abilities (if any): none that i can think of

Yeah so far all we really have for indigobloods is that they’re really passionate and strong and psychically invulnerable. Which makes her powerful enough tbh.

Lusus: a Vulture (she calls him Vad. Kinda a combination between Vulture + Dad)

Personality: Shes highly manipulative to her moiral (Kazmal) and kinda treats him like utter garbage. However she is extremely sweet, caring and patient with her matesprit. She takes care of her due to her matesprite canabalizing her own arm. Which leaves her handicapped since it is a fairly recent amputation.

Aha! So I was wrong about his moirail being a yellowblood! Lemme whip up a new sprite for him real quick.

God the color clash is atrocious I love it.

I do like that she’s different with her matesprit; I would love for you to write a little more about the reasons behind her behavior in both relationships.

Interests: she love love LOVES to cook! She loves to think of new dishes of exellent tastes with the “help” of other trolls! She is a master at tasting the difference in different blood colours (her favourites are purple and jade). She finds a sort of bliss in deciding when other trolls will die and how long they have yet to live. She loves enlisting other trolls to do her bidding for her so she wouldnt have to get her hands too dirty

Makes sense! She’s like the cook who hires others out to illegally get her truffles.

First off I adore that you put her in an apron as well since it gives them both a very neat visual tie-in for totally different jobs. And unlike Kazmal, I wanted her to have virtually no trace of purple on her at all, to how how unmoved she is by her moirail. Let’s go top to bottom!

Hair - I used a naphal base for her hair and gave her a very neat topknot instead of a ponytail, the better to keep it out of the way when she’s cooking!

Horns - the ones you gave her fit purpleblood norms a little better than they did indigoblood, so I gave her arrow-tipped ones that curve around her head.

Eyes - this is a basic fan-troll template that I picked for the hooded eyes, since they conveyed the calculated look I was going for

Mouth - we don’t see many “toothy” indigobloods and they tend to have humanoid mouths, so I just gave her a slight smirk

Shirt - kept it the same more or less but wanted the collar for the “line cook” look; sprite is from fan-troll.

Apron - sprite from naphal. I wanted to make it black since stains don’t show up as readily on that, which should make it all the more chiling that she’s cooked enough trolls for them to be visible. I used a sprite seet from fryingpanismyweapon for all the blood spatters. I also placed the symbol on the patch on her chest since it made more sense that it was another symbol-specific piece of clothing instead of one that she presumably painted on using a fellow indigoblood’s blood.
