This villain’s home is gaudy.

That was the first thought that came to Izuku’s mind. It wasn’t horrible compared to the other places Izuku’s seen in his years as a reporter. The abundance of mirrors was disturbing though. Although, he was the one breaking into the man’s house- so he couldn’t exactly judge.

Slowly making his way through the house, Izuku found himself wary of every step he took. It was a miracle he didn’t set off any alarms busting into the place. However, that didn’t mean the possibility was nigh. He hadn’t noticed any cameras on the property or anything akin to a security system. It was really was seeming that Izuku would be able to find his way in and out of this place without a hitch.

Aoyama Yuuga, a villain known as The Starry Knight to the public, was a notorious thief, his family having ties with the likes of All For One- which made catching him difficult to man experiencedThe man on his own had committed hundreds of heists that resulted in millions of dollars being lost to the wind.

It was amazing to Izuku. He just wanted to know more about him. Sure it was creepy, but how else was Izuku going to find out more about him?

There was definitely an easier way

Izuku made his way through the house. Photographing all the stolen goods, and writing down all the details of this apartment. Each room was just more intriguing than the last.

Making his way to the last room, Izuku found himself gawking at the mirror inside. The gold frame was lined with silver ornate detailing. Priceless gemstones of different sizes, shapes, and colors glittered in the dark room. Izuku didn’t want to risk turning on the lights to get a better look at the mirror.

“This….This is literally priceless.” Izuku whispered to himself.

“I know Mon Cherie that’s why I stole it.” A voice cooed behind him in the dark room.

Izuku’s heart dropped to his feet as quickly he turned around.

On his wrists were glittering bracelets and a shining watch. He wore Khaki Slacks and Black fitted turtle necked did nothing to hide the huge laser belt that sat on his hips. Izuku would call him fashionable if that wasn’t a surefire way to get himself killed. Long blonde hair was brushed into a slick ponytail, and the darkness of the room left Izuku unsure as to what the thief’s nature eye color was. The dark pools still captivated him

“Oh, I am so so so fucked huh.”

“No, I wouldn’t say that yet.”

“If I said I wasn’t a hero would you believe me?”

“Not particularly.”

The belt lowly glittered, and Izuku felt his dinner sitting in the back of his throat.

“I’m really not! I just wanted to know more about you.”

Izuku held his notebook out in front of him. Maybe if he saw he notes he wouldn’t kill him?

Starry Knight all but snatched the notebook, glancing his notes though before grabbing his face.

“I’ve entertained your snooping for far too long. It was comedic at first. However, Mon Cherie, You’re losing my interest, and that’s very dangerous.”

Izuku’s stammers weren’t able to make complete sentences.

“P-Please, Aoyama, I really just wanted to know more about you. Your heists are flawless. Literally no other villain has your flawless streak.”

The villain snickered.

“I was wrong, you’re almost a delight.”

The man stared at Izuku, as if analyzing the features of his own face.

“I guess I could keep you around.” The man muttered.

What.

"Here's a spare key," Izuku offered the item to the blonde "So you don't have to keep coming in through the window."

Aoyama blinked up at him from where he sat, then at the key.

"Mon ami, does it really bother you that much?"

"I just think it would be safer for you..." Izuku said carefully, an awkward smile on his face.

"But it's my love language!"

"Aoyama-kun, we've been over this! Your love language can't be breaking and entering!"

The blonde stood up and posed as he declared "It can if I'm passionate enough!"

"Aoyama-kun..."

Izuku stepped forward anyway, took the other's hand and placed the key in his palm.

"I want you to have it. I trust you, okay? Besides... I like having you here."

For a moment, Aoyama didn't know what to say. It all felt a little like a dream, for a dear friend of his to care so much for his being. Those three words made him well up, something behind his eyes stinging.

"You trust me?" He managed out, throat feeling raw.

"Well, yeah, of course!" Izuku beamed.

Aoyama threw his arms around Izuku suddenly, causing the other to step back in surprise.

"Thank you, Midoriya."

He felt Izuku pause for a moment before he was enveloped in a hug too.

Alright, starting @aconstantstateofbladerunner’s Butterfly. I’ll probably do three or four chapters per entry. Time to fear and be afraid. I am already filled with dread

First chapter!

First line: “Izuku is fading.” Diction sounds pretty deliberate. It matches the context but knowing Blade’s careful attention to detail I’m assuming that line means so much more for future chapters, so I Am Feeling Fear Already

Dadmight my beloved

Love the writing style. It feels sparse but saturated with emotion, while balancing a very conversational note. I’m gonna go out on a limb and guess that most of the richer and detailed writing comes with the more intense moments

Anyway calm before the storm. I’m so happy yay :’) cant you tell how relieved i am?? so relieved.

haha oh no ive heard about all the foreshadowing in this first chapter,, and even with the knowledge and spoilers i still dont quite get it even though clearly the superman books mean something,, oh no

Second chapter!

Love the friendship between Izuku and Aoyama. It’s great. We need more Aodeku friendship,,

the fact that so much of the class is suspicious of the illegitimate child theory from Todoroki is hilarious. I love that

oh yay,, little towns hating outsiders,, children,, even though theyve never met them. love that,, small town feelings amiright haha,, jfc

oh mineta and izuku rooming together. thats interesting. its probably how itd actually go in canon, minetas always seemingly tied up with or partnered with izuku some way or another

I love Cheat-A and her quirk, it’s great. Also tradition cjwodnskdn that was funny. Here’s to hoping that she’s not the one who dies,,, ahah,,

“Oh, and Young Midoriya!” he called. Izuku stopped and turned around. “This is a pretty rural area, so there are a lot of bugs. Watch your step!” he teased and winked.

The whole teaching lesson with Izuku about breaking his bones was so cute,, aghhh I love that

Everyone picking and teasing on Izuku just ughh the class interactions are great. Love all their friendships

One or both of the Safari Duo Heroes are gonna die and I don’t know which but I feel eternal fear for them. Cheat-A is the more interesting of the two so my bets are on her even though I don’t want it to be
