I have a very silly crack au I've been calling 'Milf Sheila au' which is pretty much just. Tex brings all the ai to bloodgulch and Sheila adopts Theta. Eventually the other ai too. Sheila, Church, and North have to figure out a split custody agreement (North argues that since Church and Sheila live together with the rest of the blues there should be a 50/50 split on time. Sheila and Church think it should be 66/33 split so they each individually get the same amount of time with Theta). When Theta is with Sheila he goes in a little rc car. Sarge keeps offering to mod the rc car and add weapons to it.

So - what with 14, and the curator, and stuff, we have more than established that the doctor can regenerate into an earlier face. And so far, they've been visually older than the original incarnation, because... that's how aging works, the actor gets older.

But what if we had a future doctor who was a visually younger doctor - one particular incarnation in particular. Someone who is referred to both with a number and a name (its one. if you haven't got that. like young adult one it would be awesome.)

Please I would love it if the doctor regenerates, and the actor is on the younger side, and sure! That's happened several times before, like put them at a similar age as Matt Smith and Peter Davidson. They're blond. So? They've been blond before, no reason to suspect anything.

I'm imagining that not long after the regeneration, they encounter the Master. Well... all "not long" matters as to be "they haven't looked in a mirror yet." So you get the Master, all ready to do Master-things, when they look and they're suddenly staring into a pair of eyes that look just like they did when they were in those fields of red grass together, graduates, official time lords. Those same blond, loose curls (i love the fanon designs they're great.) He's looking into a face that is identical to a ~140 year old Theta Sigma and the Doctor doesn't even know.

Today is my OC Theta's birthday! I first drew them five years ago on March 17th, 2018. I've included some early design sketches and artwork of them along with some thoughts under the cut, if you're interested. :]

This is the first time I ever drew Theta back in 2018. I didn't even have a name for them at the time, and because I like greek letters I picked "Theta" as a placeholder name, and it stuck.

I had a vague idea in my head of them being a hooded figure, and I got inspiration for their outfit from some techwear blogs I was following at the time. Their outfit has remained pretty much the same, however their coat got longer every time I drew it. X]

This is another drawing from 2018, after I had solidified their design a bit more. I still had no idea what their face looked like, though. (The red eyes under a dark hood thing is also pretty clearly inspired by another character I like. Oops.)

This is a finished piece from 2018 that I never ended up posting anywhere. One thing I wanted to get across with this character is that they're basically a manifestation of my own social anxiety.

I eventually gave them a face. Above is a reference sheet I made for them in 2018, and it's mostly still up-to-date. Their appearance on the right is the one that I've posted about most often.

Above is another drawing from 2018. One thing that's probably obvious by now is that Theta isn't human. At least one person has guessed this already, and I also alluded to this fact in a picture I drew of them recently.

Their backstory is very murky to me because I've written and re-written it several times and I'm still not satisfied with it. However, the gist is that Theta is an anxious shut-in who eventually learns something about themself that they wish they hadn't.

And here is one last picture from 2018, featuring an early design for my other OC Rhode, who I made to be Theta's dramatic foil. Rhode wants to drag Theta out of their shell, and I think they have a good dynamic.

In typical fashion for me, I have fallen into AU hell for Doctor Who and I am really living it up over here

i think the idea of the ais appearance slowly starting to mimic their freelancers appearances in little ways is so <3333 deltas hair is slicked up at the front like yorks, thetas hair gets slight curls from north and he gets dimples from south, gamma smiles crooked like wyoming, iotas hair is tied up like carolinas, omega gets scars where tex has been 'injured', eta mimics wash as well as carolina but his eyes light up the same way hers do when she smiles, epsilons hair is messy the way washs is rather than the way churchs is. sigma doesnt get any maine traits because he rejects their bond in favour of control. theyre so fundamentally changed by those they care about that becoming one again like sigma intends could never fully work
