#failboat #that moment at the end of boat's totk playthrough genuinely was so sweet imo. like a heartfelt reunion #bottom left doodle is supposed to be like a family photo. it took an hour to get chat to cooperate so boat's struggling to keep composure #chat is probably standing on something to fit in the frame #as cutesy as these doodles are you have to remember that chat is BRATTY. like an unruly 6-year-old #i see myself and other mods as separate from chat. we essentially have a sort of babysitter role #although i like to think of myself as more of the laid-back uncle who only exercises authority when absolutely necessary n is otherwise laz #and of course boat and chat have like this wholesome yet comedic father-son relationship along the lines of chowder or curious george #meant to finish these last night but it got late lol

Just putting together who is reincarnated/possessed by whom in the AC/GoW AU…

Eivor/Odin: The first piece of his soul enters Eivor via the wolf after over a century of passing through other hosts. He waits until she’s an adult to start his grand plan of taking over her body.

Sigurd/Freyr: Sigurd wouldn’t even go on a power trip here. Him and Freyr both are leaders, but they leave the heavy lifting to their sisters (and also wife in Sigurd’s case) who often have to bail them out of their messes. Freyr is trying to correct that in Sigurd, though. You can still lead and have fun, y’know. You gotta balance it. Sigurd is a lot more chill, though that might have something to do with all the herbs he’s been trying out.

Halfdan/Thor: Same as in game. He’s depressed, not because his glory days are behind him, but because he really misses Sif and Thrud. He knows they’re out there, but he can’t find them. He doesn’t care about raiding and alliances, he’s just wants his family back.

Ubba/Baldur: Calmed down significantly after the curse was broken. He’s largely content with this second chance at life and doesn’t wish to associate with his previous life. He’s done with Asgard. It’s better to die young as a mortal and feel than to live forever feeling nothing at all.

Ivarr/Heimdall: The most obnoxious and smug of both sets of brothers, it just fits. Unlike Ubba and Halfdan, Ivarr has embraced being Heimdall. He has long believed that Odin will return to restore their godhood and rebuild Asgard. Was disappointed it was not Ragnar and labels him an imposter. He’s become even more violent since his loss to Kratos. He tries to kill Ceolbert because he reminds him so much of Atreus, who he loathes.

Broder and Brothir/Magni and Modi: All four of them share only one brain cell.

thinking fondly about one of the demonwars books where the protagonist has a fully justified meltdown about how monarchy is a flawed system because, among other things, you have to depend on always getting a good ruler and a bad ruler can undo everything the good ruler did and make things worse so what's the fucking point

#he also yelled at the character who he was essentially fighting on the side of to give him better reasons #for why this shitty garbage war was worth it #and it had to be better and more concrete than 'because i'll be better'#i dont think he ever quite worked that out of his system but #it did lead to an extremely funny epilogue where his son was like “gee i hope [dead leader]'s son will be a good ruler like his mom was”#“and if he isn't well i will simply take up my father's sword and fucking murder him” and his mom was like “thats my boy”

I see some people often wonder out loud if Luffy might get a weapon or something to wield eventually, for no other reason than Roger and Shanks (and even Kaidou) also use(d) weapons, and it'd give Luffy some "extra strenght" in combat so he wouldn't have to rely on his Devil Fruit so much (and the Awakening especially, since it drains him so badly)

And the thing is, as most would probably agree, most weapons and blades especially just would not fit into Luffy's combat style. He, much like his grandpappy, fights with his fists, so it's hard to imagine him using any kind of weapons to fight

But that just made me wonder... Like...

Okay so people have been speculating for ages that Luffy might die at the end of the story or something, right. I do not buy that for a second, but it is true that Luffy is willing to throw himself into a lot of danger and has sacrificed literal years off his lifespan to protect those around him. And that has been escalating. It'd be natural for Luffy's self-endangerment to escalate to a point where there'd be actual, severe and tangible concequences for it. Aside from death.

And you know.

There's been some allusions to Luffy losing his hands, right

And you might wonder

How would Luffy losing a hand translate to him gaining a weapon

Well

You know

And the funny thing is

Luffy might not be one to use a HOOK, per se

But we have seen him wield a giant ball of gold to smash Enel's face in. So a metal mace/morning star/etc could actually work

(Also since his Awakening can mess with the fabric of reality itself, even if one of Luffy's fists was replaced with a solid ORB of metal, he could probably/totally reshape it during combat to fit his needs, into an axe or a morning star or knife etc)

Also.

There would be something poetic about Luffy sacrificing a hand to protect someone dear to him, much like how Shanks sacrificed his entire arm to protect Luffy in Chapter 1.

Like you'd get the pay-off/concequences to the escalation of Luffy's constant self-sacrificing, but nobody dies. Luffy gets a weapon to add to his arsenal, but it fits into his pre-existing fighting style and character. And we could get that poetic full-circle.

That all said, if Luffy did somehow lose a hand.

I'm sure Franky would HAPPILY give Luffy a prosthetic hand with a ✨BEAM✨ Can not imagine Luffy turning such an offer down lmao

Random Johnny and Marcus Headcanons for the Human AU

Marcus and Johnny would cook together a lot when Johnny was young, mainly with Johnny sitting on the counter holding the recipe book for his dad to read.

Marcus’s nicknames for Johnny are John-song and John-bird, which come from his wife’s nickname for their son, songbird.

When Johnny gets night terrors, he will go sit with his dad til he’s calmed down enough to go back to sleep. He typically ends up falling asleep where-ever that turned out to be and Marcus still carries him to bed.

Marcus still carries an inhaler in case Johnny has a really bad panic attack again, even though the last one that severe was years ago. He also brings noise cancelling headphones everywhere in case Johnny gets sensory overload.

Johnny inherited his dad’s tendency to get awkward in suddenly emotional or intense situations.

They both are very dramatic in the reactions to things.

Marcus called Johnny duck as a nickname when he was really little and now he does it in really intense situations to calm him down.

Marcus does still remember a bit of piano from his wife and will help Johnny out when he’s struggling.

Johnny helped his dad and uncles set up social media soon after they got out of jail. The first person Marcus followed was Johnny and he immediately went through and liked all his posts.

Marcus has a ton of books on parenting and raising/being supportive of your kids that he reads constantly.

Johnny tells his dad pretty much everything, including set gossip.

Marcus is in a groupchat with the other parents in the New Moon Theatre Troupe.

Marcus and Johnny both are fluent in Hindi and use it as a way to just talk to each other one on one in public without other people listening in.

Marcus is constantly hugging his son and tells him that he loves hims and is proud of him every chance he gets after the disaster that happened in Sing 1.

They started family therapy together after the whole disowning issue and are doing so much better that it’s surprised even their therapist.

Marcus has an alert set on his phone for every time Johnny is mentioned in a web article and he reads every single one. He even hangs his favourites around the garage and will show off videos of Johnny to customers.

im not disagreeing with the path of this character's arc, but i feel like smth abt the story's pacing (at least in the manga?) makes it feel a bit strange. hes introduced to the story as the Nice master, he's kinda shown sometimes, usually in a way that shows he cant control his men and that he relies on pater, he has that pathetic moment revealing he keeled under peer pressure and lied abt his identity, he leaves pretty normal, has an unfortunate and confusing time in wild circumstances, is apparently holed up in a barrel in a comical manner for however long, then comes back nuts. there's just something about him that always feels sudden with when we see him again.
