Do...do you know how old Suzanne Collins was when she wrote the series? The series that has children killing each other, a romance strategy, a "love triangle", etc? Do you know the ages of the creators of literally all the media you consume? (DO YOU KNOW THE AGES OF THE PEOPLE THAT WRITE A MAJORITY OF THE FANFIC YOU READ?! Because I PROMISE you most of those are written by 40-year-olds with children of their own.) People don't just...stop writing or reading about the ages they grow out of. I was 17 when I started the series. Was I just supposed to put it down at 18 like I aged out of the reaping or something? Like??? ELI5 If human sexuality was only allowed to be written by, or explored in art by, the appropriately aged people you'd lose out on every coming of age story. Every young, queer experience novel. Every exploration of self, identity, sexuality, etc. All gone. Because most of them are written by, get this, PREVIOUSLY TEENAGED PEOPLE. Expecting adults to stay away from these stories is a dangerous thing to intimate and a dangerous path to go down. I can understand where you're coming from but i don't recommend it and I think it would be a good idea to maybe listen to other ideas about these kinds of topics, even if you don't end up agreeing. It's good for you!

And, anon, at the end of the day? I'm here to enjoy myself and have fun with others over a piece of media we all love and find meaningful in different ways. I'm sorry if I made you feel uncomfortable in any way but you're also completely welcome to choose to block me and not interract with me. And I don't say that facetiously. I truly mean it. I wouldn't be upset about it! You get to cultivate your fandom experence just as much as I get to! (As everyone gets to.)

Anyways onto the topic of everlark, do you guys agree with me that Peeta becomes a himbo house wife for Katniss in post Mockingjay, me and @triassictriserratops talked about it a little and honestly I love the sound of it.

Like let's be real, Peeta isn't exactly dumb, the whole if it weren't for the baby was genius and he kinda played the capital, but. Katniss never really reciprocated his feelings back, so when she finally does I can see him just throwing all his brain cells into to being a doting partner. Like head empty only love, not just love for Katniss but the pets they would have and of course the toast babies.

That's it, that's my post, just talking about how Peeta turns into a himbo for Katniss.

let us put aside our massive crush on peeta mellark and answer this: do you think the boy's stylish? especially in your stories

Meh, not especially. I never picture him as caring that much about being stylish. He's more interested in feeling comfortable in his clothes, but he does pay attention to whether or not he looks good in them too. Just a little. Kind of a feel good, look good mentality in terms of his style. But I wouldn't call him stylish or fashionable. I do think that when he dresses up or does pay more than just cursory attention to his clothes, he freaking slays. Or at least he does in Katniss's eyes and that's all that really matters. Also, if he wears something and she's especially horny, he'll wear it again... for scientific reasons, of course. To see if it was the clothes that caused that reaction or what.

I feel like I need to sleep more cos I just had the weirdest everlark fic prompt

Basically it's sperm donor Peeta/donor receiver Katniss.

Let me preface this by saying I don't know that much about what happens when you want a sperm donor, in this scenario I am assuming that someone can donate sperm and then it is sent off to someone who needs it, they can still meet up or in the future ask if the father wants to meet his children but otherwise it is sort of anonymous.

I kinda just Invision Peeta needing the extra money and well it's kind of a noble job, helping people have the children they never could by jacking off (eh sounds better in my head)

Then comes Katniss who is not with anyone guys come one, but does want to have children, like come on she's so mom coded. While I also wish adoption was more pushed there are always going to be people who want their children to be blood related in someway.

And they meet up once Katniss has just received the donor, where they meet up could be anyway, but most likely a coffee shop or bakery. Then y'know they hit it off but Katniss starts to show signs that she's pregnant so Peeta instantly goes uh oh she's with someone and starts to become cold, then Katniss basically has to force the information out of him and he relents but doesn't tell the whole truth, basically saying that he thinks that her partner wouldn't be happy about them being too close (this boy is so wimpy sometimes I love him)

Anyways Katniss says there's no one and explains everything, now I don't doubt that Peeta might have an inkling that it could be his child but I mean there are still plenty of other sperm donors out there.

This all culminates with either Peeta and Katniss getting together before the birth of the child or after where they discuss their feelings, then once the child starts growing a bit they notice some similarities, Katniss now knowing that Peeta donates sperm probably got a little suspicious. So they contact the hospital/agency??? To find out who is the father, wabang big surprise it's Peeta.

They live happily ever after and they give each other smooches
