Missed Connection 4
Summary: A flight delay causes a chance meeting between R and Jenna Ortega
Word Count: 4.2K
A/N: Did I write this as several needles deposit ink into my skin? Maybe. When the muse strikes, she strikes.
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3
Tumblr media
Finding work for the Met Gala is shockingly easy. After your shoot with Dior, the fashion houses are practically banging on your door for more.
Sid had the right connections and got you front and center for the “not red” red carpet.  You’d be snapping photos of celebrities and fashion icons all night, but most importantly, you’d be in the same vicinity as Jenna.
Her text back to you after you’d informed her you were going was incomprehensible. Mostly emojis and capital letters that didn’t make any kind of sense. It was safe to say she was excited.
You only had a few days to prepare for the trip, so you don’t see her at all. You text a lot, with a brief phone call here and there when you’re both between work. You know you can’t play dumb anymore. This is clearly more than friendship.
The thought of that sends conflicting emotions through you, twisting in your gut and making your heart race. Jenna’s world is one of many flashing lights, screaming people, flights, and mind-crushing work. It’s the opposite of what you thought you wanted for yourself. Your peaceful nature blinds, silent aside from the calls of birds and rustling of snow or grass. The images are so contrasting that it makes your head hurt.
But Jenna. She’s impossible to ignore. She’s beautiful; of course, she is. But there’s more to her there that people gloss over. Pieces of her you want to dig up and hold close to your heart like buried treasures. Sometimes it seems she wants to shy away from the limelight just as much as you do, but her work doesn’t afford her the reprieve. Other times, she appears so natural, so alluring in front of the camera you think she couldn’t be hidden away from the world.
Regardless of your hesitance, you find yourself smiling every time her name comes up on your phone. And the thought of seeing her at the Met just nails your coffin closed. You’re actively choosing to be at one of the most prestigious fashion events in the world, for her.
You were in denial about this fact until Dani was kind enough to slap you into some common sense. Her words were something along the lines of “You’re so delusional if you think you’re not taking your ass all the way across the country to photograph people you don’t give two shits about just because she asked you to.”
She’s right. You know she is. The fact grows in your chest with every article of clothing you fold up and place in your suitcase. It’s there lingering in the back of your mind when you pick out what you’re going to wear while you’re at the Met. It’s there when Jenna texts you before her flight takes off, and when she gives you her hotel and her room number.
You’re screwed, buddy.
You’re a ball of anxiety on the flight from LA to New York. Usually, you sleep like the dead as soon as the plane engines roar to life, but this time you just can’t still your mind. The movies on the plane are not distracting enough, your book seems dry suddenly, and all you can think about is Jenna Ortega.
What will she wear? What will she think of what you’re wearing? Does it matter? Will she talk to you at the event? Why did she give you her hotel room number? Should you go there? Is that even allowed?
You sigh, blowing your hair away from your face. The woman sitting next to you side-eyes you, probably tired of your fidgeting. In an effort to distract yourself, you bite the bullet and pay the (frankly insane) price for the in-air wifi and open your texts.
Dani has sent several messages, both encouraging and slightly threatening. Her version of consolation comes with aggressive pep talks. You don’t think you can handle her right now. You turn to the only person on your mind, figuring if she’s going to occupy your thoughts all day, she may as well soothe your anxiety too. She already texted you as of an hour ago.
Jenna
Can’t wait till you’re here!
Y/N
Only an hour out! You ready for tonight?
The blue bubbles appear at the bottom of your screen almost immediately, as if she’s been waiting for your message.
Jenna
Sitting in hair and make up now. I might die in this chair
You grin, picturing her bored out of her mind while Enrique fusses at the other stylists, perfecting his vision for her look.
Y/N
Already?!
Jenna
As Enrique loves to say, beauty takes patience…kill me
Y/N
Is that what’s wrong with my style?
Jenna
Please you look good in everything. Just don’t ever hire a stylist. Theyre supposed to make your lives easier……
Jenna
Took a brush to the skull for that joke. Hope you appreciate it
You chuckle to yourself, earning another glance from the woman next to you. You shrug at her and look back down at your phone.
Y/N
The woman in the seat next to me did not appreciate it, but I did
Y/N
I think she hates me actually
Jenna
I can have her killed. If youre interested.
Y/N
Have me killed instead, put me out of my misery
Jenna
About tonight…
Y/N
?
Jenna
I was hoping you’d come to the afterparty with me
You grimace, sucking air between your teeth. As much as you want to spend time with her, the Met Gala afterparty may as well be your worst nightmare. Luckily, you’re saved by the party’s policy against cameras.
Y/N
I cant, no press allowed. Technically I’m press.
Jenna
Damn. Thats right
Y/N
I’ll make it up to you
Jenna
I’ll hold you to that
—---
It feels strange, being back in the airport where you first met Jenna. The memory of you crashing into her and your conversation after has you grinning as you hustle through the crowds. It's almost enough to make you forget how badly you want out of the airport.
The city is in chaos, as it always is. But it’s more than usual, people coming in for the Gala, to attend or to stalk outside of the hotels. Vogue has put you up in a hotel near Jenna’s, as close to the Met as possible. There are already masses of people gathered outside, craning their necks as you enter to see if they know you. A quiet rumbling passes like a wave through the throng of bodies, whispers as jostling as they watch you push your way to the door.
“Is that the girl that was with Jenna last week?”
“No way, what are the odds?”
“Check your Twitter dude, it’s totally her!”
“The pictures are too dark, it’s hard to tell.”
Heat rises up your neck as you listen to the murmurs. In all the excitement, you’d forgotten that people probably did see you two at the observatory. You hadn’t even thought to look on social media. You tried to avoid that hellscape as often as possible. Dani would have mentioned it if she saw something, Jenna too…right?
You pull your phone from your pocket when you finally make it inside the sanctuary of the hotel. No more notifications than usual, everything seems normal. You call Dani when you're in the elevator, just to have her sanity check you.
“About time you call me back!”
“I’ve been in the city for an hour tops, woman. Why is it so quiet? Are you not driving today?”
“No way! I’m not missing the Met Gala are you kidding me?”
You laugh into the phone, your eyes on the growing numbers over the elevator door.
“We’re not even live for another three hours, Dani.”
“Anyway. How’s Jenna?”
“I haven’t seen her yet. And that's not why I called. Some girls outside my hotel were talking about pictures.”
“Yeah, girls do that.”
“No, pictures of me and Jenna.”
“Oh yeah, so cute. Wait, you haven’t seen them?”
“I don't have Twitter, you know this.”
“I can hear the panic in your voice, and you should know the pictures are very dark. Don’t freak out.”
“I’m kind of freaking out.”
“You’re totally fine dude. It's like, your shadow at best. Totally fine.”
Something in her tone tells you she’s lying. “Dani, seriously.”
“I’ll send you the pictures. But you’ve really got to get over this whole fame aversion thing babe. You’re dating one of the most famous actresses of our time.”
“We’re not dating.”
“Not yeeeetttt!”
“Okay, I need to change. Send me the pictures please!”
“Can’t wait to see you two on the carpet! Byee!”
The line goes dead as the elevator doors open. You drag your suitcase down the hall and slide your keycard into your door. The room is ridiculous. It's lavish and massive, and it takes you a moment to wrap your head around it. Why would they put a photographer in such a nice room?
You toss your phone on the bed and unzip your suitcase, pulling out your clothes for the night. You hang the slacks in the bathroom to steam them when you get in the shower. You keep the water scalding hot, washing off the anxiety of the plane and the journey from the airport to the hotel. You set your mind to the task at hand for the night. This is work. It’s all it is right now—just work.
You never get the chance to open the photo Dani sent you.
—----
The Met is beautiful, as always. But even more so with all the decorations and the carpet and the lights. Vogue has you positioned near the top of the stairs where you can catch both candid moments of the attendees and posed pictures. You make small talk with the other photographers and the interviewers and catch some long glances from others. People are treating you with more curiosity than usual, but you brush it off as pre-gala nerves.
As the sun starts to set over the city, the guests begin to roll in. You find yourself swept up in your work, enjoying the atmosphere and the mix of joy and nervousness. Everyone wants to impress everyone, especially the cameras. It makes your job more entertaining, watching these beautiful people quell their nerves. Because they seem more human, just people.
An hour goes by, and you still haven’t seen Jenna. You try your best not to look for her, and focus on your camera. You snag a stray shot of the things left behind on the carpet, a pearl here, a feather there. It’s just as interesting as the outfits that come strolling through. A long line of celebrities clad in clothing that costs more than your house passes you by in a haze.
And then you see her.
No one notices your jaw drop because theirs are all hanging open as well. Someone murmurs next to you, “Wow. She’s really leaning into the whole Wednesday thing, huh?”
“Uh huh,” is all you can say, unable to take your eyes off her.
You watch as she makes her way up the carpet, missing a few guests as they pass you by, but you don’t care. She’s well-versed and poses like it's what she was born to do. You think she looks happy, excited to be there, but then she sees you.
Her eyes light up, and her smile reaches so far across her face her dimple is on full display. She casually strolls up to you at the top of the stairs, ignoring the interviewers and leaning over the rail toward you.
“Well, hello, y/n,” she says, pretending to be surprised to see you there.
“You look…” your mouth closes and opens, waiting for further instructions, “you look….”
She giggles and reaches across the barrier, her hand resting on your forearm, “You don’t look half bad yourself. You clean up nice.”
“I…uh..thank you. You look incredible.”
Cameras are flashing around you, people are yelling, but you can't see them anymore. Someone comes to Jenna’s elbow, trying to guide her along. She pulls away and shakes her head, gesturing toward you.
“My PR team says I need to go inside. Take pictures of me so they leave me alone for five seconds of my life,” Jenna grumbles.
You grin and lift your camera, snapping candid photos of her before she poses. Those won’t go to Vogue; those are for you. She takes a step back and smolders you so well you think your camera may well melt between your fingers.
You wave your hand at her, “Take a step back. Let’s get the full body shot.”
“Oh,” she says, lifting her hand and turning her body to give you a better shot.
The woman behind her is trying to move her along again, and Jenna briefly shows mild irritation.
“Enough,” she says, cutting her hands out to the side, “I’ll be up in a minute.”
The woman in the suit looks like she’s chewed every nail off her fingers, drank a half liter of vodka, and it still wasn’t enough. You half feel bad for the woman. Being on Jenna’s PR team could not be an easy job.
Jenna comes back to you with a stubborn set in her jaw, “If you’re not going to the after party, where will you be?”
You shrug, trying (and failing) to manage your expression, “In the city, I guess. Text me when you’re out!”
Her arm is being taken by her now completely worn-out PR agent, and she laughs as she’s pulled backward, waving at you. You watch her take photos with Elle Fanning, listen to her joke about being the groom to her bride. It’s refreshing, to see her like this. Having fun, but still working.
When she’s finally pulled inside, you go back to work. You figure a missed guest or two…or three is excusable. The line trickles down, and the ruckus begins to fade, the real party being held inside the doors. You excuse yourself when everything is wrapped up, and make your way back to your hotel room.
In the lobby, the desk attendant calls out to you, jogging over to walk with you toward the elevators.
“We upgraded your room for the weekend. Is it to your liking?” she asks, nearly out of breath and stumbling to keep up.
You slow your pace, a confused frown furrowing your brow, “Uh, yeah. It’s great. Why?”
“Oh, management wanted to make sure you liked the room.”
“No, why did you upgrade me?”
She frowns at you, clearly as confused as you were, “Management has a celebrity policy. The lower floors have less security.”
“I’m not a celebrity?” You ask, more than tell her.
She shrugs, “Someone thinks you are.” And just like that, she’s off, scurrying back to her desk to welcome another guest.
You scratch your head as you wait for the elevator, unsure of what or who rather, just happened. You brush it off and don’t think twice about it. Who are you to look a gift horse in the mouth?
You don’t stay in your room long. Just enough to lock up your camera and change into jeans and a T-shirt. As soon as you’re able, you’re back on the street, blending in with the tourists and the bustling nightlife of New York City. You stop in a small bar and have a few drinks, content to have some time alone. After a bit, you pay your tab and wander off again until a smell overwhelms you. You feel like a cartoon character following a scent wisp, crossing the street, and turning a corner.
A little pizza shop is tucked away there, with a mass of people spilling out of its doors. Normally, crowds are a no-go for you. Unless there's food. Or Jenna. But mostly food. You maneuver your way through the crowd and stand in line, your buzz and the city making you feel like you’re in a dream.
Your phone vibrates in your pocket, and you pull it out, your heart jolting at Jenna’s name on your screen.
“Done with the afterparty already?”
A heavy sigh comes from the other end of the phone, “Just got back to my room.”
“Well, how was it?”
She laughs, “Technically, I’m not allowed to tell you. Press and all.”
“Okay, okay, that's fair.”
A group of loud teenagers pushes behind you, laughing and yelling, pizza slices dripping grease on their hands.
“Where are you?” Jenna asks around a yawn.
“A pizza shop, somewhere.”
She whines, “Lucky! I wish I could be out there.”
“I mean, you sort of can be?”
You can hear her shuffling around on the other end before she grunts, apparently flopping onto her bed. “I can’t, though, not really. It’s the sad price to pay.”
You hum, “Didn’t think about that. I’m sorry.”
She hums but stays quiet.
“Hey, I can bring you some pizza, if you want?”
“Wait, actually yes! Oh my god, you’re a saint, I’ll owe you.”
And that's how you find yourself, with a pizza box greasing over your palm, knocking at Jenna’s door at 1 AM.
When she answers, you feel even less prepared than you had been for her Gala look. At some point, you’ll get your feet under you, and just the sight of her won’t make you breathless. Right? Right?
Odds are not in your favor.
Her face is bare, the make-up from earlier washed away. Her hair is in a messy bun on the top of her head, and she's in an oversized shirt that's so big you can't see her shorts. You stand like an idiot in her doorway, pizza in one hand, a bottle of champagne in the other.
“Well?” She says, coy smile on her lips, “Are you going to come in?”
“I..uh..yeah, of course.” You’re not winning any points in the smooth factor, but for some reason, she still smiles at you like you’re suave.
As soon as the door closes, she snatches the pizza box out of your hand and leaps onto the bed, sitting cross-legged and gesturing you over. You kick off your shoes and sit at the end, trying with all your might not to be awkward.
Jenna slaps your shoulder, “Take the cork out of that and get comfortable. Let's watch a movie.”
You nod dumbly and stand to uncork the champagne. She crawls up the bed to rest her back against the headboard. You climb in beside her.
“What are we watching?” You ask, taking a sip from the bottle.
“Beetlejuice,” she says without hesitation.
She extends her hand for the bottle, and you pass it over, taking your own slice of pizza from the box. The movie begins, and your shoulder to shoulder, your entire body feeling like it's vibrating. Eventually, the bottle is abandoned on the nightstand, and the pizza box is kicked onto the floor. Jenna rests her head on your shoulder and her hand on your leg, and you can no longer focus on the tv. You want to kiss her so badly, it’s become the sole driving force in your mind.
“Jenna?” You say, turning your head to look down at her.
Her body is relaxed, her breathing even. She’s fallen asleep, wrapped around you. A piece of you is disappointed, but another part is relieved. She needs to rest. You can see it in the set of her shoulders and the bags under her eyes. You gently slide her down the bed, turn off the tv as you go, and slip out of her room.
—----
You’re back at her door the next morning at 7 AM. A small bag rests on your shoulders, and an excited smile overtakes your face.
She answers the door with messy hair and sleepy eyes. Her voice is scratchy when she asks, “Y/N? What’re you doing?”
“I have a surprise for you,” you say, pulling the bag off your back. You hand it to her and brush past her into her room to sit on an armchair.
She opens the bag and looks over at you, blinking slowly, “You brought me a hoody?”
You nod excitedly, “And jeans. You might need a belt for them, though. Also, did you bring shoes to walk in?”
She chuckles, “I have my own jeans, and yeah. I have my Addidas.”
“Great! Put them on. We’re gonna be late.”
“For what?” She says, scratching her cheek.
“It’s a surprise.”
—-
“My PR team is going to murder you,” Jenna says, the hood of your sweater pulled low over her face. Her sunglasses hide most of her, which is in your favor.
“I’m pretty sure they already hate me. But it’ll be okay. We just need to get there.”
The car pulls into the Pier parking lot, and your leg won't stop shaking. Jenna pats your knee reassuringly.
“I have no idea what you’re doing, but don’t be nervous,” she says, her head on your shoulder again.
The car parks in front of a boat, its Captain standing at the bottom of the deck shooing away pigeons and tourists. You drag Jenna out of the car and wave at him.
“He owes me a favor. We worked together in the Antarctic,” you tell her when she gives you a quizzical look.
“Y/N!” The Captain yells out, embracing you when you approach.
“Oscar,” you say as you hug him, trying not to grunt from his heavy hand patting your back.
“And who’s this?” Oscar says, releasing you and peering around your shoulder.
“Oscar, this is Jenna. She’s the cargo I was telling you about.”
“Cargo?” Jenna whispers, almost to herself.
“Just go with it,” you say, your hand on her lower back.
Oscar ushers you onto the boat, pulling up the plank behind you, “Good conditions today, ladies! We’ve got a fair shot!”
You smile and nod your head at him, leading Jenna onto the front deck. She shivers and wraps her arms around your waist, making your stomach flip.
“You’re going to explain all of this later, right?” She says, looking up at you.
You nod, “I just figured we’ve been in your world so far. Let me show you mine.”
She tilts her head but nods, slowly. The boat leaves the harbor and heads out for the open Atlantic sea, the water spraying you in salty mist, the cool wind whipping your hair. You pull Jenna’s hood off and grin.
“You won’t need this anymore,” you tell her, absently brushing her hair behind her ear.
She smiles up at you and pushes her sunglasses into her hair, her eyes wide and soft. She reaches up on her toes, wraps her arms around the back of your neck. Your eyes begin to shut as the distance between you closes.
“Yo! Sighting on the port side!!” Oscar’s bellowing voice makes you jump apart.
Jenna laughs and runs to the port side, the railing hitting her ribs. You smile and shake your head, following close behind her.
“What are we sighting?” She asks, her voice excited.
“Just wait. You’ll see.” You tell her, your hands on the railing.
A few minutes pass, and all that there is to see is rolling ocean and seagulls. Then, suddenly, a whale breaches the surface. It sprays water from its blowhole, it’s back coming into view.
Jenna gasps, “Holy shit!”
Your smile is miles wide now, and you wrap your arm around her shoulders. Half to make contact with her, and half to make sure she doesn’t jump into the ocean in her excitement. You’ve seen people do stranger things.
An entire pod of whales surfaces, sending Jenna into unbridled joy. She laughs, jumps, squeals at the babies. The whole scene is as perfect as you’d imagined it. Her hair is wild in the ocean wind, her skin dotted with ocean mist. You mentally pat yourself on the back for this and decide you need to take her into your world more often. She clearly loves it.
On the way back into port, Jenna is wrapped around you as you lean back on the railing, enjoying the view of the approaching city. She turns her head to look up at you and smiles.
“Thank you. For this.”
“Of course. Nature is kind of my thi-”
The rest of your words are stolen by her lips on yours. The kiss is soft, exploring, and sweet. Her hands on the back of your neck pull you down to her, wrapping you up in her. Tiny fireworks explode in your chest, and your head feels like it's spinning.
She pulls back, smiles at you, and kisses you again just as the boat pulls into port.
—--
You hate to leave the city before Jenna does, but she has more work to do, and you have a cat you need to get home to. Before you get on the plane, a text from Dani comes in.
Dani

Ever thought about the level 974 in the backrooms? Imagine you're with 2 of your friends. Let's call them Jake and Diamond. Somehow you three made it that far together. The rooms have pink and Hello kitty everywhere around you. There's a kitchen with plenty of safe food and water to eat and drink. There's a bathroom where you can shower and do your business. And a bedroom with a stable bed. Being that this level seemed so normal your friend pull out their phone thinking maybe, just maybe they could get a signal.
Tumblr media
Instantly they see theres wifi they can connect to. You look around and find the wifi box and put the password in when you see a shadow entity named Mr kitty. He observed you as you did him. For a second you felt your voice caught in your throat. Before you could react the entity scurry away but would follow you and your team around. Mr kitty wasn't a threat but when your team declared to stay for the night he became angry.
You noticed the entity had a thing for cute stuff so you pulled out a Hello kitty watch your little cousin gave you. The entity seemed to like that. It approached you with interest and bent down to your level and reached for the adorable item. You pulled it back with hesitation. You didn't want to give it away it was the only item you had to remind you of your little cousin. Your friends noticed and shouted at you to just give the damn demonic being the watch.
Tumblr media
The entity cracked its neck to look at the friends that jumped back in fear. "Fine...here." You said catching Mr kitties attention again. His unsettling stare seemed to become more exciting as you held out the pink watch with your eyes closed. "Just take good care of it." You said.
Mr kitty gently swooped the watch from your hands and disappeared. Your friends let out a sigh of relief knowing they were safe for now. You on the other hand wanted to curl up in a ball and cry. But it would be worth it when you leave. Spoiler alert you don't. When you woke up your friends where nowhere to be found but Mr kitty? Dude was standing by the foot of the bed staring down at you. He seemed to be holding himself back from something. His hands shook but when he noticed you awake he quickly appeared beside your head and picked you up in his arms in a affectionate way. You wanted to scream but wasn't sure what he would do if so.
"Hey um..where are my friends?" You asked. Mr kitty tilted his head and placed you down on the bed once more and ran off. When he came back he held a light pink piece of paper with poorly writing.
"Hey Y/n. So me and Jake decided to leave to the next level. You seemed to be sleeping so peacefully and the weird shadow dude was getting agitated with just us being here. So we needed food and wanted one more shower. The only way to calm him down yesterday was to exchanged your sisters Hello kitty watch. Hope you don't mind but Jake and I made the decision to leave you there with him. Have a nice life we'll tell your parents you got kidnapped. Bye."
After reading that God forsaken letter you destroyed it and held your hands on your face. You found yourself crying. Why wouldn't you? Your fucking friends traded you for food. You can't see your family. Your dog nacho would probably whine for hours, probably die from a heartache. Or maybe..they forgotten about you? You aren't sure how long it's been since you first appeared in this damn world. Has it been days? Months? Certainly not years. Right?
As you were breaking down Mr kitty freaked out and picked you up. You were in his possession which mean you are his responsibility. He sat down on the bed and patted your head. Trying to calm you down.
(Want a part 2? Lemme know down in the comments.)

I was kind of sad it wasn't my birthday anymore when I woke up. But I texted James and they said that if I didn't leave the house it could still be my birthday. And I wasn't going to leave today so that works for me!
I was in a better place emotionally. After I did my post I went to find my husband in their room and we talked and I tried on the boots and they are beautiful and make me very tall. I apologized again for my reaction and they kept saying I had nothing to apologize for but we had to agree to disagree. I love James and I love the boots.
Jess was already awake downstairs. She had gotten an alert on her phone about her automatic feeder not working. And she was kind of stress about that. And I think we were both still really tired so we were quieter. But also just both a little touchy. She said I was mean to her in her dream. Which is not my fault but I felt bad about it still. But I also was being very sensitive about everything.
Eating helped. We had our leftovers. I heated them in the oven and it was my first time using it! That was exciting.
We sat at the TV tables and watched a video about the lady tunneling under her house and the concept of hobby tunneling. And once we were done eating and cleaned up we got to work building the second book shelf.
This went pretty quickly. Though we were missing on bolt and so I couldn't properly get the doors on. It was pretty frustrating. And then Jess kept saying my drill wasn't a driver and I shouldn't use it for everything and I was frustrated and touchy. But we got it done and went to take a break on the daybed.
I am thrilled about the day bed. We lounged and watched videos and decided we would call it an early day.
I filed her rings for her so they wouldn't tear up her finger anymore. And after she got her things together she decided to leave around 1130.
I was sorry to see her go but I was looking forward to some time alone.
James texted to let me know that the sofa would be delivered at 1230!! Amazing. I had started working on putting together the smaller cabinet and would finish that and clean up all the trash. I made sure I made a good path for the delivery guys. And as I was starting to work on the small shelf I heard the truck outside.
The two delivery guys were so nice. I showed them the tape marks I made for where the couch would go and they were super efficient.
Once the first piece was down I was thrilled to see that it fit inside my lines so I could still fit the end table.
They went to get the second piece and it connected with a little metal bracket. And I'm thrilled that the sofa is a chaise and a chair and not a sofa with an attached ottoman. I wasn't sure from the description. Once they grabbed all the trash and I thanked them, they left. And I literally squealed I was so excited.
I went to touch it and was shocked at how soft it was. It is lighter in color but it's actually lovely. Later in the day Callie would come over and describe it as "mossy"and she is so right. I was so excited though. It's soft and plush and beautiful. It's better then I hoped and I already thought it was going to be great.
I moved some stuff around. Went and grabbed the temperature blanket and some pillows. It's so comfy. I was tickled.
I would go right back to building. I spent the next couple hours building the small shelf and the low table for my fish tanks. Which we are picking up tomorrow. I'm super excited with how everything looks.
I started packing things on the shelves. I moved all the fibers stuff and my wall shelves and things to the daybed to hold for now.
I went to take a break and had some cereal. Enjoyed the new couch. Watched some TikToks.
While I was sitting there I decided I should add on my shelves to the side for the wifi and I couldn't use my bandsaw because I couldn't find an extension cord. So instead I used my dove saw and it went great and while I struggled to level the wood I would get it and I'm super thrilled. I love seeing everything come together.
James would start to head home and I got cuddled up on the couch with sweetp to wait for them. And I was so excited for them to see the couch.
When they got back they were super excited too. And they were super complimentary about all my building. They would take a few minutes to sit with me but they headed back out pretty quick to go to the apartment to feed everyone and get the mail.
So while they were gone I moved more stuff on the shelves. Did some organizing. And checking in with Callie. She accidentally wrote my birthday down as today and felt so bad about missing my actual birthday. But it was totally fine! She wanted to come bring me a gift and I was absolutely down. She would come over at 7 for gifts and cake.
When James got back I was already opening the boxes for the kitchen island. And we jumped right into it. This was a rough build. We had a lot of pieces that needed to fit and line up and we struggled. But we worked hard together. And I was really proud of us.
Callie would come as we were getting to the last steps. I was excited to see her and show her what we have accomplished. She made a big fuss about the couch. And totally understood my feelings and excitement and that felt good. Made me feel very heard.
James would need a little help flipping the island over and lining up the top but then it was done!! And it looks so good!
James would make me dumplings for dinner and I ate that at the island!!! Callie was coming from dinner she she just chilled and we talked and after the little dinner James brought out my birthday cake. They found a candle and jams and Callie sang to me and it was so sweet. The cake was perfect and I was just so happy.
Callie brought me a gift. And it was so thoughtful. She got me a ceramic fish plate. And commissioned her mom to embroider a "J" in flowers and framed it all nice and it was just so sweet. She also wrote me such a beautiful and thoughtful card I could have cried. She is such a beautiful soul.
We would sit and talk for a long time. About camp and drama and both our works. James was in the mezzanine starting to put the books on the shelves. It was such a lovely way to end the day.
Callie would leave around 9. And James was still working on the book shelves. I went to brave the chilly shower to wash my hair. I was able to get the water to a pretty comfortable temperature and was even able to shave my legs. Excellent. I got cozy and am now in bed.
James and Sweetp just joined me and soon we will go to sleep. I had a really good day.
Tomorrow we have some moving. Like the fish tanks. And then the Fulwilers want to take me to dinner which is really kind.
I hope you all had a nice Sunday. I love you all. Good night everyone! Until next time!

atak devices are cool and good
long post down below
TL;DR: measure your use case and your peer enemy, plan accordingly. the ATAK device is an amazing piece of tech that gives the user so much situational awareness. an ATAK device is an irl mini-map, drone controller, and if connected to a MANET, comms capable. its exceptionally versatile and the pros far outweighs the cons in my opinion. when it comes to EMCON, *pretty much* the only people tracking you via cell network would be spooks. and if they want you they will get you, even if youre an EMCON god. but if youre REALLY worried about that, dont carry a phone, period. i dont particularly care about it for the aforementioned reason. there are some civs out there who use SDR to track RF emissions and can do it really well, but i honestly dont see myself being on the business end of that capability so therefore i do not care. train to fight an enemy just as capable as you blah blah blah whatever i dont care in this aspect. i can see at night. and i play airsoft, sometimes. not so much these days. employment is cool. disclaimer: i am not an EMCON or even comms SME. from what i understand, Android phones do not emit RF in airplane mode. thats a horribly gross oversimplification, but thats how its been explained to me. if 0 emissions is the goal while having the device on you, airplane mode and do not ever turn wifi or bluetooth on, even on grid. and if youre worried about location services, youve gotta degoogle it at that point and thats a whole other can of worms. also at some point you begin reaching a point in capability where EMCON is simply not possible without some sort of ECM and thats ALSO a whole other can of worms. an MPU-5 would be really cool to have though.

I was a patient person. At least I thought so. Any inconvenience caused by others, I’d just be like “um ok” and then just keep on doing or going whatever and wherever i originally planned. like i was chill, even when people were blocking my way on the street i’d be like oh ok guess i’ll walk slowly, and even when my dad was angry all of a sudden i’d be like “um ok you’re angry now sorry for whatever i did”.
I never really got angry whenever others did something wrong or something went wrong. Like i’ve always had to deal with poor internet connection in my room, but i used to be chill because i’d think about how me being angry, especially about an object, would make no good change anyway so I wasn’t that angry as a child/teen.
But now, I realized that my temper got worse, and I’d easily go outrageous whenever something happens. One day someone on the street passed by and walked into the bottle of Jinro in my hand, making it drop onto the floor and broke into pieces. I had just bought the alcohol, so my money were wasted as I had only drank one sip. I had never cursed that many curses in one day. I felt enraged. And I have never felt that before.
Another day I was in my room, trying to load a livestream page, but with my shitty wifi i couldn’t load anything for half an hour. I almost threw my mouse towards the monitor.
these might sound like normal behaviour, but as I said i was a very patient and chill person, so these emotions that I feel right now are not normal at all. And I even started to throw my phone out of anger. but when i was younger I couldn’t understand why people break things when they’re angry.
I don’t know when did I become like this. It’s just all of a sudden I realize how my anger-control got so bad compared to the previous me. When did the transition happen? Why have I become so angry? I used to be able to stay as cool as I can be when my father got grumpy for whatever reason. But now, I don’t really argue with him but, I’d be sarcastic and respond to him with a sarcastic tone. Like for example some thing broke and he’d say “it can’t be, why don’t you try …, how am i supposed to know” and i’d respond “well you think i haven’t done that before?” with a smile.
nothing really happened these years, but all of a sudden my temper just go down and down, and now I’d get angry and rage and throw tantrums and throw things.

I just went to help my cousin with his wifi and stuff cause he has some disabilities and can’t do it himself, so he asks for help.  I just found out that my asshole older brother had been the one helping him out and he was supposed to do this for our cousin DAYS ago but just up and left town without telling anyone.  So I get a text and call from my dad this morning, asking if I can go do it.  He lives like a 5 minute drive from me, so of course I said yes.  Plus, this is family.  And family that I’ve NEVER had problems with.  Why would I say no?
So I go over there after running the errands I had to do beforehand and when I got there, he was on the phone with GeekSquad cause he didn’t think anyone would actually come to help.  So I go in, help him out, and cause his game system that I had to help him connect to his wifi needed to update, he started getting nervous about me having to wait there; like I was gonna get angry about having to wait.  This only tells me that this is how my brother has been treating him.  I’m not angry at my cousin whatsoever, I’m angry that my brother treats him in a way that he is afraid that anyone who is helping him is gonna get angry.
We finish up with it, get him all connected and signed back in online on his game, and he is just so grateful, says we should go get Chinese sometime, so I gave him my number and told him to call me whenever he needs help, cause he’s family, I love him, and I’m not going to complain about helping out my cousin.
So now I’m crying cause it’s so upsetting that my brother has ruined everything all the time, my entire life.  He’s never paid our grandparents back the THOUSANDS of dollars they lent him so many years ago, so when I needed to borrow money for rent for the first time, they were so hesitant cause they didn’t think I would pay them back cause of my brother.  So when I did pay them back when I told them I would, they put all their trust in me.
Growing up, I never really got to see my cousin, not even for holidays, cause my brother was mean to him and our aunt didn’t want her son around my brother, which I don’t blame her.  So today was like my 10th time EVER seeing my cousin in my life.  And about a year ago, I was asked to take over as guardian for my cousin when my dad passes cause my brother already said no.  I knew he was going to say no, I just don’t get why nobody else figured the same thing.
I am so sick of being compared to my brother all cause he’s the older one and everyone just automatically thinks cause I’m younger that I’m gonna be just like him.  I have never been like him, nor will I ever be like him.  I would never want to be like him.  Just, how many times do I need to prove that before it’s believed?  Why am I the one who always has to pick up the pieces in the family?

Aether Chapter 12
Moar Training! This time around trying to teleport permanent non-aether constructed objects along side Maggie. Something that could very well have nuclear fallout that makes the explosion that killed Maggie the second time around look like a car backfiring.
Featuring Hannah (aka Nexus aka Ashley's crush) for very real practical reasons... Because why would anyone use phones? Or radios? No no no, its gotta be telepathy... you know... For security. Not just as a thin as fuck excuse for Ashley and Hannah to spend time together, no-siree.
Except yeah they are absolutely both that level of uselessly gay and pining.
So training continues and Maggie has the fucking audacity to feel disgruntled that she can only kinda teleport things after 2 hours. Which is wild considering when the day started it was entirely theoretical. The lady is far more badass than she gives herself credit for.
Hannah helps her break through her progress block and then she's off to the races. She hasn't transported anything with living tissue yet but she can move things as complex as computers and phones with wifi connections (handy if you were ever gonna be working on a team and needed to take say an ear piece or something for teamwork reasons...).
Ashely's excitement over it all is nice and the way Hannah reacts to her hugging Maggie leads me to the conclusion that both of them need so much fucking therapy.
Hannah at least never goes so far as to try and stop Ashley from having friends, she appears self aware enough to know that her feelings are her problem, but she still isn't doing great with how she treats the people she's jealous of (not that she's awful, but she isn't fair) and its entirely because she won't just talk to Ashley about here feelings. Ultimately she's not doing great but she's doing ok which is more than can be said for Ashley.
Ashley who can tell that Hannah is jealous of Maggie and Eurion, and recognise that it means that her long time crush returns her feelings. But she's so caught up in shame and self loathing that she can't just ask her out. I'm actually sort of offended of Hannah's behalf over this because how fucking badly must it suck as a telepath and at least partial empath to be able to tell that your crush is so caught up in her own insecurities and self loathing that she thinks you would be that cruel to her.
It's not exactly a fair view to take. Ashley has been through a lot coming into her own while living in a society (and growing up in a home) which would prefer she be someone else entirely/not exist and of course it has left its scars.
But I also don't think its an incorrect one. What's that one tumblr post? "It hurts to know that the me in your head is so unkind/Please don't use me to be cruel to yourself" Or something to that effect. I kinda feel like Ashley hasn't had that realisation yet that her insecurities are creating insecurities in Hannah, and knowing that might help give her the kick in the panties she needs to just fucking talk to Hannah about what is going on in her head?
I did enjoy my validation that Eurion has been hanging out with Ashley probably getting thoroughly exasperated over her lack of progress asking Hannah out.
Anyways, we end on Maggie accidentally making a grenade. So that's cool. Good to know she'll have an offensive option when shit goes down.

Story time on why im being charged with breaking and entering: (bonus trauma included bc the trip was....something)
Had to go to the island overnight Thursday and got back yesterday. Booked a hotel for the night and a truck to grab our stuff from bailiff storage. Got to the hotel at midnight, dude told me they would in fact not be letting us into the room. After I called to make sure my credit card would be fine. Spent 30 minutes in tears on the phone with the hotel manager begging to let us stay, he ends up yelling at me so we leave. Down $111. Realize we still have the key for the apartment we got evicted from. Took a $20 cab for $10, let ourselves in and up to the roof stairwell access n steal the cushions from the chairs downstairs to have a mattress. No cops are called the entire 8 hours. We leave. Get to the truck rental place, also denied because of my credit card, fuck around for 20 minutes until beans dad calls his brother, who I want to chop up into little pieces with a butter knife, to come help. Almost miss the bailiff appointment. Beans dad and the driver take the van and fuck off for a bit. More miles = more money I have to pay. Get toted around town in the van and show up late to return the van. Bean connects my phone to wifi to let their mom know we now can't afford the ferry over. Sees the text from his mom saying she got an email that said she is now being sued for damage to the unit we lived in (has been threatened the whole time, idk if it'll happen) and we're being charged with breaking and entering + the police file number for the report.

linux airserver
SVAT Electronics is a very popular company specializing in protection electronics systems. Their forte is wireless solutions without elaborate installation. No wonder that the SVAT GX5201 Wireless Portable Video Monitor has all these features in it. It is a great monitoring camera that can double up as the good security system too. If you seeking at a cheaper solution, Apple's digital A/V adapter is the right product for the job. Have got a you plug one end to your iPhone, iPad or iPod, while attaching the other to an HDMI cable and within the TV. Recognize that there are two versions of this A/V adaptor. One for brand new lightening devices and other that has support for that older devices which are choosing the 30-pin connector. You will get precisely connection but different large quality. airserver This brings up the router's login screen and prompt for username and password. Join the credentials thus hitting Enter again to try out the configuration page. Should you never changed these credentials, then it has to be the that originally came with no router files. Check your manual and more. to find out him. If you changed the username and password, then enter the new ones. Now with Ubuntu g.10, I installed it on three different laptop models with good results. Screen resolution, known as and the card were all functioning by almost non-payment. Activating the wireless card took one extra step but Ubuntu prompted me automatically on how to install the drivers asking equip the other restricted staff. There was no command line needed and no searching obscure forums for bad ideas. But will e-book translate to? It is basically a book in the digital format rather when compared with conventional pieces of paper. This is by far the most environmentally friendly way of book printing documents. This article focuses on the latest version among the Kindle as well as its primary features and benefits which are supported with customer recommendations. Do you will know that you can connect your mobile phone to the wireless public speakers? airserver Crack Full Version is what I called individual "blow-up portable headphone". Films it rarely because I will move freely without the wires hanging below my chin. It's never been easier to launched a WiFi network: many Internet providers will send a wireless-capable modem or router when you sign move up. However, they may not supply it in a superb state of security. Straight out of the the box, there actually couple of security issues in most routers. Login to your router (in the same abovementioned fashion) and navigate to the Setup page. Highlight the Applications and Gaming tab. Click the Port Range Forward option. Enter all the information in the relevant fields, select TCP or UDP the particular Protocol tab. When done, review the information and click on the Save Settings key. Exit the router interface and enjoy access to the applications that were being barred by your firewall.

9 Best Non-Wi-Fi® Baby Monitors
Tumblr media
As a parent, you want the best for your baby. That includes having a way to monitor them when they are sleeping or taking their naps. Today we're going to talk about 9 of the best non-Wi-Fi® baby monitors on the market with pros and cons for each one so that you can find the perfect one for your needs! Comparison of best video baby monitor non-Wi-Fi® Top-list infant monitors with 2 cameras no Wi-Fi® Best long-range babies monitors without Wi-Fi® The best baby monitor without Wi-Fi® in 2023 1 Optics DXR-8 Pro Video Baby Monitor without WiFi® Review https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4F7m4JSTItw Infant Optics DXR-8 PRO Unboxing & Review  What’s going on everyone. My name is Erin, and this is Dad.0. Oh, now, because this is dad point. Oh, I do occasionally like to review some tech parenting products, including, but not limited to camera setup and baby monitoring. And it seems simple enough, but as a parent, this is one of the most important pieces of tech you’re going to buy. And you don’t really realize it until you buy one that doesn’t work brilliantly. Infant Optics DXR-8 PRO Review And about a year ago, I reviewed one of the most popular baby monitors on Amazon. The infant optics DXR-8 PRO are eight and overall I did like it. However, it did have a pretty small display compared to a lot of other baby monitors out there. It only had a three-and-a-half-inch display and the resolution left a lot to be desired. However, infant optics has updated this baby monitor and now has this infant optics. DXR-8 eight PRO, which has a five-inch display, and finally has a 720 HD resolution. Infant Optics DXR-8 PRO: night mode  So I decided to pick one up, compare it to the previous model and see if this is the best baby monitor on the market. First, I just want to show you what you get in the box with the DXR-8 PRO eight pro opening this up. You have the five-inch monitor on top, here again, 720P looks very similar to the previous model. Just a little bit bigger. You also have the camera again, it looks pretty similar to the previous model with kind of a silo design with a pivoting head. You also get charging cords and wall adapters for both. You get an additional zoom camera lens, and then also you get mounting screws to mount this on a wall. One of the things that I Love about the infant optics monitor Is that it runs on its own 2.4 gigahertz channel, which means you don’t have to connect this to your Wi-Fi® at all. You basically just plug it in and it connects to itself. And you’re set to go. Not only does this make for a super simple setup, but it also is more secure and reliable. Infant Optics DXR-8 PRO: wall mount camera If someone were to hack into your network, or if your router were to go down, you still have access to see your baby monitor. On top of that, I just really liked that it has its own monitor, and I don’t have to use an app or my phone or a different device as a baby monitor because some of the only times I get to use my phone or other devices is when my child is napping or down for the night. So I don’t want to have to use that as a baby monitor as well. And like I said, the setup is incredibly simple. All you have to do is plug in the camera and your child’s room. And then you just turn on the monitor, the two connect to each other, and roughly a second or two, and you’re set to go. You can literally have this up and running in under a minute, taking. A look at the monitor itself. Again, it has a five-inch screen with a 720P resolution on the right-hand side, you have your buttons for navigation. On the left hand, you have a sound led bar on top. You have your on, off, and sleep button, your brightness adjustment, and volume adjustment. These are nice shortcuts to have compared to the previous model on the back, you have the folding antenna for better range. You have the speaker and you have the foldable kickstand. And on the left side, you have your power input. Now, when you turn on the monitor, you’re immediately shown the live video of the camera feed. On the top. You have kind of a status bar. You can see your connection level with the camera, how far you’re zoomed in. If it’s on night mode or not the volume level, which camera you’re looking at, the temperature, the time, and the battery level, you can move the camera around by pressing the arrows on the right side. And then you can start using the buttons to start interacting with the monitor. So you can press the zoom button to zoom in once. Infant Optics DXR-8 PRO: pan/tilt/zoom Or you can zoom in twice. If you really want to see something closer, you can press the talk button. If you want to use the two-way Intercom system, the OK button is kind of your select button or to change cameras. And then pressing the menu will bring up a list of other settings that you can adjust. The first one is sleep mode. You can set the display to go to sleep after a certain amount of time and just have the audio on to save the battery. You have an alarm timer that you can set. So if your child is on a feeding schedule and you know, you have to get them up at a certain time, you can set that here. You have an alert warning setting. So when the monitor is low on battery or out of range, you can get an alert tone and you can set what alert tone you want that to be. And the volume of it, you can add, delete, and view cameras. And then you have general settings where you can turn on or off noise reduction. You can set the time to temperature scale, whether you want that to be Fahrenheit or Celsius. Infant Optics DXR-8 PRO: Customization And then there are a few other settings that you can play with here. So that’s kind of a review of what you get and how to use it. Let me just go over my experience with infant optics. DXR-8 PRO over the last two months. And I have to say I’ve used a lot of baby monitors, but this one is my favorite, at least so far, because in my belief they took the DXR-8 . And while that was a great baby monitor, there was some issues with it that I wish they improved. And I think with the DXR-8 PRO, they took those issues and they fixed them all. And they came out with just a high-quality product here, specifically, the things I’m loving, like I said earlier, it runs on its own 2.4 gigahertz channel, the improved screen size, and the improved resolution. I think five-inch screen size is perfect to see things clearly. And a lot of people think seven 720P isn’t even full HD. How is that good? In my opinion, seven 20P on a five-inch screen is still a great resolution to see everything clearly that you need to see. And it still provides amazing battery life. Whereas if you get into higher resolutions, you’re going to start sacrificing battery life. And speaking of battery life, this one still has great battery life. Infant Optics DXR-8 PRO: table stand One of the best of any baby monitors that I have tested and battery life really depends on how you use this. If you have the display on for long periods of time, you’re going to get way less battery than someone that has the display on sleep and just use the sound. Or if you have the volume turned way up, that’s going to eat more battery than someone that has the volume turned down, same thing with brightness. But what I can tell you is that I have left the display on for an entire nap of my two-year-old, which is roughly three hours. And I still had plenty of battery life left. And at night I normally leave the display on until she falls asleep and then I’ll put the display on sleep and just use the volume. And there are periods where all go five, six hours without putting this on the charger. Infant Optics DXR-8 PRO Baby Monitor Without Wi-Fi® FAQ If you are referring to a "sleep timer" after that of course there is. There is a set rest timer that the screen will certainly go blank (rest mode) but the monitor sound/lights are still on. You can simply touch the power switch as well as the screen will return up whenever you wish to see it again. It is designed to kind of hang from a screw-like image structure. I think there are 3d celebration adapters that will enable ceiling mount. The best big-screen baby cam non-WiFi® VTech VM919HD Video Monitor FAQ We apologize for the inconvenience, but it seems that you can't buy a second camera to go along with your VTech VM919 monitor. The night vision on the VTech VM919 has activated automatically, but you can turn it off by adjusting how close to an open window or light source (which will make things brighter) your child unit sits. The VTech VM919HD does not have Wi-Fi capability The best video baby monitor without WiFi® The best review VAVA wireless baby monitor no Wi-Fi® https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RVa-JWSekdc The best review VAVA wireless baby monitor no Wi-Fi® Hey guys, welcome back to my channel. Today's video is going to be a little bit different. Today I'm going to be taking a break from the makeup and I'm gonna be showing you guys and talking to you guys all about my baby monitoring system that I've been using for a couple of months now. So it's just gonna be a quick little review and talking to you guys about it. My daughter is asleep right now, so if I sound like I'm a little bit quiet, that is why. But yeah, if you guys wanna see what baby monitoring system I use, then just keep on watching. Okay, so today I'm gonna be talking to you guys about my monitoring system and I'm gonna show you guys real quick the box. Whoa. This is the box right here. VAVA baby monitoring system and I'm absolutely in love with it is such a great monitor. This right here is exactly what the camera looks like. Excuse this mark. My little one went ahead and colored on it because that's her new favorite thing to do, color on everything. But this is exactly what the camera looks like here. I don't have it on me because like I said, she's napping so I'm using it on her. VAVA best review baby monitor without Wi-Fi® But it looks exactly like this and this camera here is able to move up and down and then it also is able to do a whole complete spin around to pan around your room. So yeah, I just wanted to show you guys really quick what the camera looked like because like I said, I don't have it on me. But let me talk to you guys about the actual little camera. So the camera, as I said, is able to move up and down and then it pans all around your entire room, which is amazing. It comes with the little lens that it originally comes with. I purchased on my own a wide-angle camera lens because of course, it's awesome to be able to pan around a room and zoom in and all that stuff if you need to but for me, I kinda wanted something that I was able to just hook up and see everything, which is why I purchased the wide-angle lens. I'm able to just look at her entire room without having to pan around and look for her if she's in a different area where the camera is not facing. So that's what was awesome about the actual lens. It does come with a regular lens as I said. If you're just using it just as they sleep above their crib or whatnot but for me, I was using it a lot for her playroom. Now that she's a little bit older, she's almost two, I let her play in her playroom if I have things that I have to do, like cleaning or things around the house. I let her be in her room without having to sit in there and just watch her. I'm able to just hook up her monitor and watch her as I do whatever I need to do. Another thing it has is a microphone on the actual camera, so if she's talking or saying anything or calling for me, I'm able to hear her perfectly because there is a camera on the, there's the camera, there's a microphone on that camera. So I'm able to hear her whenever she speaks or if she needed me or if she was stuck or any kind of thing going on, I would be able to hear her, which is something also that I loved. But yeah, that's pretty much the whole little camera system. I'm gonna talk to you guys now about the screen, which is this and I do have the screen right here. VAVA non Wi-Fi® baby monitor It is a five-inch screen, which is something that I loved, which was something that I wanted because I wanted something that was big and I'm able to just look at the screen and see what's going on. My previous monitor was pretty small, so I really had to really look to see what was going on, which I can just take a quick peek at and see. On this monitor, you have, of course, the menu button, which you're able to set it however you wanna set it. And then it has your zoom button and then it has your little roll here where you're able to pan around the room and see what's going on your arrows. And then down here, it is your talk button, which now I'm able to push and talk to her. I just pushed it on accident. So I'm able to push the button and talk to her while she's doing whatever she's doing. She doesn't have to push a button, I can easily just hear her talking, which I'm sure that's commonsense but I'm just gonna mention it anyway. So I'm able to talk to her here. And be like hey, don't do that or hey, I'm coming. Whatever the situation may be. As I said, I only use it for playtime in her room and when she's napping. So right now, she is napping, so I can show you guys quickly what that looks like. Another thing that I like is this one has, of course, they have the day and night mode. So in her playroom, it's in day mode but once she's asleep and it's dark, the theme is automatic. So the camera knows on its own that it needs to shift into night mode and it does that automatically. I don't have to switch it. With previous monitors that I had, I had to actually go in there and put it in night mode, where this one is smart enough that it just automatically goes straight into night mode, which is something that I absolutely love. VAVA baby monitor no Wi-Fi® needed So right now, as I said, she's napping, it's dark in there and it's in night mode. And you can see her right there. And the screen, as I said, it's so big. What I love is that the screen is so big, it is so crystal clear that you can see everything going on. You can even see her breathing, which is something that I love because, for the longest time, I wouldn't even let her nap alone because I wanted to watch her as she slept. So this took a really long time for me to leave her in the room by herself. First-time mom, I was paranoid, I was scared. Now I'm more comfortable because if you look at the monitor, it's so clear that I can see her as she's breathing and it gives me so much comfort being able to see that. It also, what was I gonna say? It's such a big screen but what I like is that it doesn't have much weight to it. So if I'm walking around the house, I'm able to just carry it along with me with my phone and it's not heavy but it's big is what I like. It has a wide range for you, I believe it's like 900 feet where you can take it away. So if I let my dogs go outside really quick to use the restroom, I can walk out there, stand on the porch and hold the monitor and there's no fuzziness, nothing going on like that. I can walk around my whole entire room into my garage, whatever the case, whatever I'm doing and the monitor is still crystal clear, no fuzziness. It has a very large range, which is what I love. For the most part, I just have it, it has a little kickstand. For the most part, I just have it sitting up on wherever I am and I'm just watching her, which is another thing that it like is that it has this little kickstand so you're able to prop it up anywhere you want. And then it also, let me see if I'm missing anything that it says here on the box. It is an HD camera. I don't know if I mentioned that already but it is HD. You can tell. It's super crisp, super clear. It's very much HD. It has a very long charge to it as well. I can get away with using it for about two and a half days in a row before having to recharge it again, which is something that I like to do because I do forget to plug it in every night because I do not use it at night. Her crib is in our bedroom right next to my bed. So I'm able to just peak in myself. So I do tend to forget to charge it at night, which is great that it lasts so long. It does have an alarm function on it, which I never use. I don't use the alarm function on it but it does have that. And then, of course, I mentioned the lens, how you're able to change it, which is amazing because you can have the standard lens that it comes with or the wide-angle lens. It says 100% digital privacy, no video or sound passed through the internet, which is another thing that's awesome because you don't want any of that stuff going on with your child. Another thing that it has is if say you have a second child and you need to watch both of them, you do not need to purchase a whole second system, you can just purchase an extra, let me place this down real quick, you can just purchase an extra camera like this and you're able to connect both of them up. I believe it's you can have four of them connected to one monitor at a time and you're able to switch back and forth. I believe I heard, I don't have, I only have one child, so I haven't had to use that function but I believe they said you can do like split screens and watch them all at the same time, which I think is amazing because monitoring systems are pretty pricey and you don't wanna have to buy more than one if you have more than one child. So I thought that that was a great thing that all you would need to purchase is a second camera, which is another thing we were considering doing because I have one in our bedroom at all times and I like to have one in her playroom instead of having to constantly take it back and forth. It's kind of a pain in the butt. So that's another thing we're planning on purchasing is a second camera. But I don't think I missed anything about it. Yeah, up to four cameras are what it says on here. Yeah, I believe that's everything about it. In the box, it just comes with your charger, your monitoring screen, and then the camera, plus of course, all the instructions that it comes within there. And very simple to set up. It's easy. That's another thing that I like was that it was easy to set up. My previous ones, like I keep saying my previous ones, were not very easy to set up. You just want something that's quick and easy because you're just trying to watch your child and make sure it looks good, right? So in my opinion, this has been by far the best camera that I have purchased. I did purchase this on Amazon because I wanted it fast. I believe it is the same price on their website as it is on Amazon. I just wanted it to come quickly. And I believe it was about 165. Yeah, 165, and then as I said, I also purchased the wide-angle lens on Amazon as well, which was very affordable. That was only 6.99. $6.99, which you can't beat. So I purchased that. I do have both lenses now. But for the most part, it is on the wide-angle lens. But yeah, so I think that's pretty much everything about this camera. What I would say is my absolute favorite, of course, is the big screen and how clear it is. You guys, as I said, you can literally see her taking her breaths as she's asleep. And that's something that I love. That's how you know it is super clear and super amazing. So if you guys are in the market for, oh, I did leave one thing out as well. It shows up here on the monitor the degrees it is in the room and then it also has the little moon here, which is telling me that it's in night vision and then of course, the time and your battery. And then, of course, the bars that you have here and then it does have this antenna. So that's pretty much it. So if you guys are in the market for a baby monitoring system, I would highly suggest the VAVA monitoring system because it's amazing. Read the full article
