timo: “does 2008 remind you a little bit of last year when you also lost the title in the last two laps?”
lewis: “no, it was different. this one [2008] wasn’t manipulated. (…) last year someone made a decision that the result was gonna be the way it was.”

Translation: Sebastian playing table Tennis against Timo Glock for Sky Germany - Brazilian GP
Source: Sky Sport Germany
Timo Glock: "Next episode of Stop the Glock! We're here in Brazil and I have Sebastian Vettel at the table here with me. Last year we played darts right here Sebastian and I have very good memories!"
Seb: *grins* "Did I win?"
Timo: *grins* "No! I won!"
Seb: "Then I have the wrong memory!"
(Complete translation under the cut)
Timo: "What did you do?"
Seb: "I was in Chile! Hiking!"
Timo: "Hiking??"
Seb: "Yeah!"
Timo: "Alone? Or with..?"
Seb: "Yes! With a backpack!"
Timo: "Completely alone?"
Seb: "20 kg backpack and off I went!"
Timo: "And spending the nights in?"
Seb: "In a tent!"
Timo: "So in the mountains?"
Seb: "Yeah!"
Timo: "How many days have you been there?"
Seb: "5 days I have been walking and then I was there 3 ore days to *gesticulates* seeing some other places."
Timo: "Okay! So before we start, how ist the feeling knowing this is your penultimate race?"
Seb: "Yeah, I'm excited/joyous! I'm exvited/joyous for the race! I don't know, maybe I don't really get it, can't really put it in relation to all the other races before and that it won't be like that after.."
Timo: "So no weird feeling when you know next Sunday is.. for now temporarily history?"
Seb: "I don't know how I will feel then! It's all.."
Timo: "Normal"
Seb: "Yeah, normal. I mean I'm also excited for what comes next"
Timo: "What is coming next?"
Seb: "Well nothing at first!" *laughs* "Nothing really.."
Timo: "I can imagine you'll buy a table tennis after the match!"
Seb: "Just sitting still - I won't manage that! So yeah, maybe"
Timo: "..table tennis!"
Seb: "You wanna go to the championship on the 'short' table (tennis)?"
Timo: "Yeah, let's sign up for it!"
Seb: "Let's sign up for next year!"
Timo: "For the winter so we'll have something to do!"
———————————————
*point for Seb*
Seb: "Ooooh! Oh sorry!"
Timo: "It was the same with Daniel Ricciardo! How many balls he had on the very edge!"
Sasha (acting as referee): "Six, I think!"
*2:2*
Timo: "Quite nervous, actually!"
Seb: "Totally!"
Timo: "I probably have a pulse of 120 right now! The pressure is high!"
Seb: "I also still have to go to the toilet! Can you imagine!"
Sasha: "Yess, 3:2!"
———————————————
Seb: "What's the game actually called?"
Timo: "Ping Pong!" *laughs*
Seb: *laughs* "No, I mean does it have a title?"
Timo: "Still 'Stop the Glock'!"
Seb: "Stop the Glock?"
Sasha: "4:3"
Timo: "Oh!"
Sasha: "4:4".
Seb: "Nah, now you've been lucky!"
———————————————
*7:6*
Seb: "Oh, first time you're leading!"
Sasha: "Matchball, I think"
Timo: "Yeah, you only have to lead once!"
*7:7*
Timo: "That cannot be true!"
*8:7, narrowly*
Seb: "Ohh, did you still get that one?"
Timo: "Yees!!"
Seb: "Oh man"
Timo: "It went through twice, but it was also on the net, twice"
Seb: "Good gracious"
Timo: "This reaction, at my age!"
*9:7*
Sasha: "First set, Glock!"
———————————————
*5:6*
Timo: "Nooo, Glock! What am I doing?"
Seb: "That's it, that's it! Pressure!"
*5:7*
Seb: "Oooh, that was it!"
Sasha: "This one decides!"
Seb: *switching to speak in a heavily Hessian dialect, so pardon for any translation errors* "Ohh, you have sweaty hands, don't you?"
———————————————
*6:6*
Timo: "Oooh!"
Sasha: "6:6! Two matchballs!"
Timo: "Please, dear table tennis god, be with me! Please!"
Seb: "Well he cannot be with you, you need the one for the 'small' table (tennis)! Not fir the regular one! *grins* That would be themini table tennis god!"
*6:7*
Seb: "Ooh, that one was not unimportant!"
Timo: *imitates Seb* "That one was not unimportant!"
Seb: "I'll take that one!"
Timo: *miserably misses* "Noooo!"
Seb: "Who would've thought? Who would've thought!"
———————————————
Timo: "Sebastian, thank you so much!"
Seb: "Thank you! It was a lot of fun!"
Timo: "Have fun in Brazil this weekend!"
Seb: "Thank you!"
*Outro*

Sebtember Challenge #22: Spectator’s Eye View
Sebastian goes trackside today as a spectator to watch F1 cars tackle the Suzuka circuit during Free Practice.
In an interview with Sky Sports Germany, Seb admitted he found it “extremely difficult” to watch and it “hurts” him.
“I knew it would be difficult to be here, but here is extremely difficult. I mean, this was my favourite track.”
“[…] I would never mind a comeback just for here. I mean, it’s tough just standing here now knowing how it feels when you’re in the car now.”
– Sources: Essentially Sports & Racingnews365
Could we see a potential one-off comeback somewhere down the line?
I personally think he should come back. If it hurts him that much to see a load of F1 cars whizzing around the track, then he should jump in and go and join them. I wouldn’t even care which team he would join; I just want to see him on track again.
Please, Seb! Please! Do it for the fans! 🥺🙏🏻

Formula 1: Report: Mick Schumacher could change racing series - Wolff comments
No more formula racing for the time being? According to a report, Mick Schumacher could switch to a French manufacturer's sports car program. That would also mean: He would probably start at Le Mans. According to a media report, Mick Schumacher could initially leave Formula 1 after this season. As the trade magazine Motorsport aktuell wrote, the 24-year-old son of record world champion Michael Schumacher could switch to the sports car program of Renault subsidiary Alpine in the coming season. Mick Schumacher would then compete, among other things, in the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans. Manager Sabine Kehm did not want to comment on the speculation when asked by dpa. It is clear that the chances of returning to a regular Formula 1 cockpit are currently very low. Most of the places have already been taken. A possible commitment to Williams was repeatedly discussed, where the American debutant Logan Sargeant is struggling. However, his team boss James Vowles recently made it clear that there were no negotiations with other drivers. Wolff: Schumacher can remain a substitute driver Mick Schumacher is currently employed as a replacement driver at the German factory racing team Mercedes, and the contracts of the two regular drivers Lewis Hamilton and George Russell were recently extended. “It would still be a shame if Formula 1 lost the Mick,” Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff told Sky in Singapore on Friday. However, the Viennese also made it clear that Schumacher could remain a reserve driver for the Silver Arrows if another commitment permitted this. “It doesn’t matter what phase of your life you are in, you can never be sure that it will work out the way you imagine,” Mick Schumacher recently said in a conversation with the German Press Agency. “Of course you think about it: what will I do if it doesn’t work?” he answered a similar question. As auto, motor und sport wrote with reference to the sister magazine Motorsport aktuell, the Alpine management around sports director Bruno Famin is said to have already contacted Schumacher and his management. Supposedly the chances are not bad that he could join the squad as one of the regular drivers. Glock on Schumacher's future: WEC would make sense Sky expert Timo Glock sees this as a sensible alternative to Formula 1 for Mick Schumacher. "It makes sense. He has to choose a racing series in which the cars are correspondingly fast and the technology is similar to Formula 1. Of course there would be that too Indycar series in America, but then you would no longer have a foothold here in Formula 1, but you would have to put your entire focus on America. Therefore, the WEC would be included. "These cars make sense in the end. But let's see what happens."
