You know I love the hammering and sawing of metalsmithing but sometimes it's the ability to just melt stuff that floats my boat. Tonight I took scrap pieces of silver and fired the torch on them until I had some nice melted balls. Some of these are big enough to be hammered into pendants or stud earrings at some point. An update: my room no longer smells like resin

I am gonna try to see if i can get a separate workspace in a way that doesn't involve me moving out or working in subzero temperatures in the winter. Not without lack of trying before now although it may seem contrary with my other asks

I don't really mind doing torchwork in my room, i burnt a few holes in the carpet from falling metal but i have a cast iron pan now so it can fall in there (not the most ideal solution but i can point my torch in it without it heating up too fast)
