I've been having some fun in CAW!

You may remember a LONG time ago I started a world called Pickerling Cove. I had very little done when I decided I wasn't really happy with the general sculpting I had done and scrapped the project. Well I decided to resurrect it and mash it up with a project I spent years on and sadly corrupted when it was about 90 percent complete.

As you might have read already I discovered that the lotsi had saved from that old world are now missing ( likely deleted by me thoughtlessly a while ago) so I'm starting Pickerling Cove entirely from scratch!

Like Thicket I used a medium sized map and just hodge podged together some distant terrain to make it look like part of a larger continent...a pain in the behind, but I think it'll work!

It's going to be quite a lot larger and I'm planning on incorporating every lot type I can in this one. I would love to use some high rises, but I'm not sure, I don't want them to look out of place for the size of the world. Also, I love exploring nature so I have already mapped out two farms and a nature preserve type area for cabins, camping and walking trails!

I promise I won't give up on this one, it just might take me a while to get it done... let's be honest, it takes me a while to do anything, lol!

I have one other world planned...a small roadless island shrouded by mystery and if I can pull it off, some pretty cool places to explore!

Connor met Roxie at the park, and despite their worst traits trying their level best to make the interactions fail, they became fast friends. Connor even invited Roxie home with him, which she gladly accepted. That irresistible trait is doing some heavy lifting. He winked at her and she made this face.

I mean, look at her, she's clearly one smitten kitten. Or possibly...a wolf? 😈

Plate II. Four Cottages for Labourers

"The habitations of the labouring poor may be rendered ornamental, and the comforts of them increased, at a very trifling charge beyond the cost of common building; towards this purpose the annexed plate is designed for four cottages, connected with each other, and under one roof; a mode of building that admits a considerable saving of expense."

The 1st cottage was created for 4 families of lower working class* that would be employed by the farm or work in lower trader like fishing and gardening. I initially did not want to do this house because I thought it would be too complicated for The Sims 3, but after building a few other houses I decided it would be fun to try. Especially because I would have to create four families (spoiler alert, I didn't) and they would have to share one lot, which is a surefire way to create a lot of confu-Sim-on. I ended up putting in so much work in this house and it became so lovely. After taking ages to create the house, I decided to only create one family, Cooke, and one extra Sim, Maria, and leave the two other rooms to fate. Who their roommates will be?

The house is located next to the estate farm to facilitate the commute of the hard-working farmhands.

*I'm using the historical term.

Faith Cooke

She is a nurturing, green-thumb, hopeless romantic, and family-oriented farmhand. She is engaged to be married to the slob and couch-potato James Cooke who, secretly, is not the father of her children. Although Faith knows James is not the best man, far from it, she is glad she found someone that helped her avoid the workhouse

Maria Lovel

Maria is a clumsy young woman, but she has a good heart and quicky has become a good friend to poor Faith and has helped her take care of her children.

James Cooke

James, Faith's older child, is a brave boy with a good sense of humor that is constantly patronized by his step-father but he just keeps fishing.

May Cooke

May is Faith's younger child and... she's just a baby!

James Cooke

He was too busy sleeping to do this interview.

Isle St Bernie has been uploaded and should show on the exchange within a few minutes!

I believe I have fixed all issues I found while testing, but it is not perfect by any means. The Bart, an apartment, would not let me place a single stair to the porch no matter how I tried so the entrance is in the back. It's not ideal, but it functions. If you have Into the Future the glass floor deco is perfect for an area on a house called The Borna. You'll see I tiled it in white. My friend that I made the world for has only a couple expansions so I didn't add the tiles in. That house also has a crazy short driveway, but the sims can use it 😊 that's about all I can think of at the moment, I had no major issues while playing and the neighbor never got stuck in the apartment The Billy after the first run through so hopefully that was a fluke, I couldn't find anything that would cause routing issues on that lot.
