As a survivor of abuse I relate to Machete so much. I've always felt unclean for no reason except being told I was unclean, and it made me feel worthless or revolting by default. Like, no matter what I did I would be filthy and unpleasant to be around.

Seeing that he can be loved, makes me feel like maybe I could be loved too.

So with me nearing the end of Act 1 of BG3, I'll show off this look change I did in light of. Well. Losing my goddamn eye (For The Boon....)

She's a druid, so I was going for something a bit more... rugged looking, maybe. Natural, definitely. Odd for a drow to be a druid, but that was her whole thing. Escaped the underdark, raised by a druid topside, etc etc. Except she has been sticking her grubby little fingers into every piece of forbidden magic she can get her hands on, and it's gotten to the point where she doesn't really feel much like a druid anymore. The forbidden necromantic knowledge, the embracing of the mind flayer's powers, the love of Loviatar herself...

Aka I'm poking Every button to see what it'll do, and the game is rewarding me for it Handsomely.

Characterization-wise, she's seen a Lot of shit through all of this (and I'm still only on act 1 😭), & after delving deep into the underdark... idk, she just needed something a bit less natural-looking. A bit more intimidating. She's girlfriends with a cleric of Shar, even. She's constantly toeing the lines of corruption and shadow.

And SO. A new look!!! Having her grow her hair out Kind Of. Might change it in later acts too, depending on how those go. For now, I'm enjoying the cosmetic change, bc it makes it feel like She's changing, too.

I also Love how this looks with the circlet I never take off. Perfect for it.

HELL YES. So, they're the exact same as standard Flower, but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to draw them in make up

They're genderqueer/non-binary and are quite fluid in their gender expression, they're fine with any terms and although they prefer they/them they don't mind other pronouns. I can see them experiment with it/its but would only allow people who are very close to them to use these pronouns and are very uncomfortable with acquaintances and strangers using it/its for them.

They're also demi and obviously polyamorous

first off i think that we're still in tsubasa's dream i don't think he's actually woken up yet

everything thats happening feels like his concious wishes and his uncouncious wishes are coming true

i think sota is dead, i think he died in the accident that led to tsubasa's coma, and tsubasa's concious wish is that sota were alive, happy, with a family that truly cares about him, but subconiously, i dont think thats what he really wants, kenta is not a greedy, cruel child, tsubasa just desperately wants him to be because he doesnt want sota to be happy without him. hes convinced himself that sota is qlive with a family and now hes trying to convince himself that theyre bad people because thats what he wants to be the truth

'my big brother isnt dead, hes still alive and is happy with a new family, but he would be happier with me because his new family is bad'

tsubasa conciously wants his family to be happy and move on from what happened, but he unconciously wants purpose and reason. if his family heals without him, was he even needed? why did they get to spend all that time growing closer and healing if he doesnt get to move on. he also unconciously wants people to hate him as much as he thinks they do. we already know that the bullying in the loop was extremely exaterated from how it really was, and his room is an amplification of what he thought the people around him thought of him, as are all of the other loop rooms. he wanted a functioning family that he got through his parents, but he also wanted his family to have never moved on and fallen deeper into despair, like shiori

'my family is happy, but they're happier when im here, and no problems can be truly solved until i solve them. but my despair is not misplaced and i am not sinking deeper into despair on my own'
