The Curiouses
The rivalry between the Curious brothers and the Beakers deepened when Pascal helped Nervous escape his questionable-at-best living situation by marrying him. Despite Circe and Loki assuming this was just another stunt to sabotage them, Nervous was actually in love and more than happy to join a family that was at least definitely more functional and loving than anything he's had before. Little Tycho now has a dad, a stepdad and two uncles watching over him, as well as an auntie-to-be in Lazlo's fiancee Crystal. Vidcund has been trying endlessly to catch a flight in a UFO and be able to carry out a tiny alien himself ever since Tycho's birth, but with no luck, so he's forced to limit his research on alien life to performing non-invasive behavioural analysis on his nephew. Not that he really minds - he found himself growing more fond of his company the more time he spends with him.
The boys all stayed in science - Pascal works as a physics researcher in the central laboratories just down the road, Vidcund got a job as a biology teacher in THE private high school of SimCity (referred to by students as 'Alto' - nobody really knows its full name), and Lazlo teaches philosophy to public high school students in Bluewater Village (it's not that long of a commute really). Crystal also got a job as a lab assistant in the central labs, and Nervous is currently the one to babysit Tycho when no one else is home (Pascal says he could get him a job as a test subject in the labs if he wanted, but he prefers to have him safe at home with his toddler). The house is getting real small for them.

Nina Caliente (yes, the household herself)
Nina got left to her own devices in the house she and her sister inherited from their grandfather, and while she enjoyed being completely independent for a bit, she started feeling unhappy. She kept going on dates with different men, but in reality she was devastated at how hard it’s become to reach her favourite lover Don since he got married. And to think he’s there with not only Cassandra but also Dina! Nina is feeling quite uneasy about the situation and taking every opportunity she gets to get close to him, even when it’s risky. Even getting in a casual relationship with the Malcolm Landgraab IV himself couldn’t get her mind off of him. She’d been struggling to find herself a suitable job too, but not so long ago she got hired as an aerobics instructor in the nearby Desiderata Valley’s neatest dance studio and she got overjoyed at the realisation that she, in fact, absolutely can earn a living by just doing exercise to music if she gets over her fear of doing it in front of other people.

The Beakers
The Beakers had no choice but to let their "beloved" test subject Nervous move out after he presented his marriage papers to them, legally ending their guardianship over him. Although they did discuss putting his empty basement hole room up for "rent" to lure in a new clueless individual, they decided it was time to start a whole new project instead - parenthood! With Loki's latest genius invention, a secret method which lets you create the perfect DNA for your children before conception, they shouldn't have too hard of a time raising Atom and Ceres to become determined and disciplined adults continuing their legacy in the field of science.

And so we begin with:
The Goths
After Don and Dina married in and both newlywed couples insisted on staying in the manor, the Goths tried to pretend to be a perfectly normal family for a while, although it was clear Mortimer wasn’t happy to have Don around. He didn’t trust him, and nor did the ghosts of the ancestors buried in the yard. They came out to express their rage on many nights following the wedding. Don, on the other hand, was more than happy to live with not only his wife but also one of his undercover lovers and a new maid who visits every day. In the end, it was Nina that Cassandra caught him romancing at a wedding party, not long after the birth of their first child, Theodore. This frustration is still waiting to be resolved. Cassandra, in her doubt and despair, made a few mistakes too: she kissed her best friend Darren, but her conscience won, and they agreed to never talk or think about it again. At least Cassandra is progressing nicely in her career (she buried herself in books during her maternal leave as a form of distraction), she is now a maths teacher in SimCity’s best (although only) private high school, which unsurprisingly happens to be the one that Alexander just enrolled in. Alex is not too happy about his chaotic family being present in his education too and he can’t help but usually feel a little invisible at home, but at least he recently got to have a nice birthday party in the backyard, which he secretly only agreed to have because Lucy Burb was invited. Dina is getting on well with Alex and Theo, and although she never really thought about starting a family before, she is now hoping to have Mortimer's child at some point.
Bonus shot of (almost) everyone reacting to Don's previous gesture:

Ophelia Nigmos & Stella Terrano
Okay, they're not officially a household yet because Ophelia still needs to graduate so she can move back to Strangetown where Stella is currently renting an apartment. They may buy a house somewhere down the line from Ophelia's aunt's inheritance.

Julien wasn't the first nor the last man to try winning over Natasha Una, but he had something the others didn't: he knew the way to her heart exactly. He not only knew it, but he also did it very well. However, life is barely like maths, and there is so much that only works in theory. Natasha loved Julien's grilled cheese sandwiches and chatting to him over lunch, but she couldn't look at him as anything more than a friend, and she made sure he understood this quite early on.
Tumblr media
What is Stella Roth doing in Julien Cooke's house, I hear you ask? The truth is, I don't even know. Maybe she came for cooking lessons, maybe for something else... She's a little mysterious.

The Capps (Capp household #4)
Juliette is way happier now she's living with her sister and cousin instead of Tybalt. Miranda, Hermia and Puck are just starting university and were naturally granted the accommodation by Consort (Puck can live there on the condition that he intends to marry Hermia, which at the moment he does). Miranda's boyfriend Ripp, just like Romeo, was not lucky enough to earn Consort's trust in this regard, but it's okay, he was planning to go to SSU anyway. And no, Hermia still doesn't know about Puck and Miranda's kiss, but that's long in the past now.

The Contrarys
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Rick was a difficult kid who became even harder to handle as a teenager. Not listening to his parents, unwilling to put any effort in school, only caring about video games and snacks... you know the type.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Rick had one confidante though: his childhood friend and neighbour Violet Jocque. Violet used to be a little "boyish" as a kid, and even now, her dream was to become a football player. Both of them being only children, Rick and her hung out a lot growing up, just tossing balls in the garden, discussing all sorts of things while on the swings, and pulling pranks on their parents. Now that they were older, they had to lean on each other in more important issues though.

The Jocques
[Their end-of-round updated look, to be exact. Sophia still has longer hair in the recaps for example.]

The Kats/Larsons
Tara has dreamt about starting a pet shop for as long as she can remember, and now she finally found someone to complement her enthusiasm with (alleged) business skills in Jason. The Larson siblings’ previous endeavours were all deemed unsuccessful, but now that he’s free of Jodie’s restrictions, Jason is confident he’s got what it takes to turn the Kat house into a blossoming centre of pet supplies, it only takes a little more capital now to open the business. However, Tara will have to make sure her beloved cats Faline, Mickey and Samantha don’t ever feel like they come second to the new family project.

Julien Cooke
The ambitious but unlucky young chef has found himself a new home in Desiderata Valley. He's bought a house with a big kitchen, and he's hoping he won't keep cooking only for himself till the end of time.

Julien enters and wins a cooking competition
[I love the broke down college student entering with square bread sandwiches. Very relatable.]
Tumblr media
He's also been progressing nicely in his career, he is now a prep cook at Red's Famous '50s Diner. Maybe he has got some drive left in him after all.

The Rileys
Vivian Cho and Timothy Riley tied their lives together, had a baby boy named Zachary, and their daughters seem to be getting along as well. They're currently looking into buying a house of their own as Timothy's apartment is getting a little crammed for them.

But of course, things weren't that easy for a pair of teens who suddenly had to act like parents and prioritise raising their siblings to everything else in their life. They tried not to complain, because they made this decision, but they were still struggling. Gavin and Ginger took turns in missing work and school to watch over the little ones, and this was reflected in their grades and performance at their jobs. If things weren't stressful enough already, let's recall Ginger's painful breakup...
Tumblr media
Gavin, on the other hand, was happy to be spending a lot of time with Melody Tinker (from the grade below him at Bluewater Secondary) recently.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The struggles just wouldn't stop. Ginger liked cooking, but maybe she shouldn't have done it while sleep deprived.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Garrett and Georgia luckily grew up into schoolchildren by the end of our 4 year period and didn't need 24/7 surveillance anymore. Gavin and Ginger also came to an agreement: only one of them would go to college and leave the household when the time comes. Gavin ended up being the lucky one, since he was way more driven to get a career and earn a lot of money. He thought that could be his way of helping his family on the long run.
Tumblr media
As teens, Ginger and Gavin didn't have a good relationship. The stress was too much, and often their interests conflicted. Both of them were relieved to separate for a while when Gavin began college at SSU.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Newsons who stayed behind, all grown up (somewhat).
------------------------
And, as unbelievable it is, especially to me, this marks the end of our first 4 years in SimCity - or "first round", but I'm not sure if I'm going to play equally long rotations yet. However, I'll try my best to stay consistent in publishing posts in a way that makes the most sense. Lol. Thank you all for tagging along and hope you enjoy!

The birth of the Patels' first daughter, Meera.
Tumblr media
The Patels were sociable, often making friends with other families and neighbours. Ramir needed to boost his reputation, after all - he had ambitions to one day become the mayor of SimCity. As of now, he has achieved the rank of representative in the state assembly, in the faction of the Liberal Democrats of SimNation.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Meera celebrates her 2nd birthday.
Tumblr media
The couple already had a second daughter, named Zaina.

The Patels, all out in blue, wearing the colour of the Liberal Democrats. ("What? Elections are coming up, it matters...")

Geoff Rutherford lived a life full of romantic conquests, not caring about his family's opinion. He even had a slight crush on his brother-in-law Jason, but he didn't dare to make any moves in the end.
After hooking up with Kent Capp, their relationship turned serious, and it seemed Geoff began to grow up and make peace with the thought of settling down. Even though by now he could have afforded moving out on his own from his sister's house, Kent moved in with Geoff, since Geoff's former roommate Connor had already left to live with his partner Samantha.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Their wedding took place at their home, much to Geoff's disappointment, who wanted a lavish party, but Kent convinced him to keep it lowkey since his family was pretty divided on this marriage already, and he didn't want a lot of attention.
Tumblr media
Unfortunately, Kent's father still managed to steer up drama by subtly attacking Geoff. He was still bitter to see his son with a man and "refusing to continue his legacy". Although Kent was hurt, he made the decision to cut himself and Geoff off from his dad for good. Luckily, his sisters were understanding of him at least, but still, he preferred not to associate himself with the Capp family name anymore. Geoff's sister Marissa wasn't necessarily supportive of their relationship either, but she did most of the avoiding herself.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Despite the hurtful opinions coming from older relatives, the Rutherfords still had a good support system in their close friends (like Connor and Bianca), plus, they became known as the cool gay uncles to all their young and open minded nieces and nephews.

The Gavigans started a new chapter of their lives and moved into an apartment in Belladonna Cove. Nathan started working in architecture, climbing his way up to head of his construction company. Mary got a job at the dance studio in Desiderata Valley and has been... inbetween positions. She is now a backup dancer. Isaiah [who got a cute bedroom full of Family Fun SP stuff because I had never used these items to their full potential before] has been getting massively into playing video games on his parents' computer.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mary and Nathan discussed expanding their family now they were in a big apartment. They both felt it was time for them to give Isaiah a sibling.
Tumblr media
And so Noah Gavigan was born.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Gavigans
Hopefully Isaiah won't feel neglected by his parents because of his new brother, and won't do stupid things (as seen above) just to get their attention...

The twins were born: Audrey and Brian Weir.
Tumblr media
Apparently dealing with two babies didn't exhaust Connor and Samantha, and they had another baby soon enough: Rebecca.
(Kim had moved out by this point.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Although he spent a lot of time on his job, Connor also helped with the children as much as he could.
Tumblr media
Audrey and Brian as toddlers. It's too early to tell, but Brian seems to have inherited his mum's magical abilities, hopefully that won't affect his relationship to his sister and parents.
