Bandai Gashapon Reveals Tamagotchi Plus Series Charms

If this isn’t a sign that Bandai might be ringing back the Tamagotchi Plus/Connection series, then we don’t know what is. Bandai Gashapon has just updated their upcoming schedule for Gashapon capsules, and we are getting a third installation of the Tamagotchi miniature charm series. As a reminder, these charms are not functional, and are merely accessories.

The third installation delivers Tamagotchi Plus series miniature charms! That’s right, there are two shells from the Tamagotchi Plus models released in Japan from the years 2004-2006, oh the nostalgia! There are four Tamagotchi Plus versions featured which include the Tamagotchi Plus, Keitai Kaitsuu Tamagotchi Plus, Chou Jinsei Enjoi Tamagotchi Plus (Entama), and Ura Jinsei Enjoi Tamagotchi Plus (Uratama).

There are a total of ten shells, two for each version. The screens on each feature a different Tamagotchi character in a different pose, including Ichigotchi, Young Mimitchi, Young Mametchi, Ringotchi, Mametchi, Furawatchi, Makkiko, Shimashimatchi, Ura Mametchi, Ura Memetchi.

The charms event include the classic ball chain and even charms and/or straps that are exact replicas of the original devices released back in the day. They’ll be available nationwide in Japan at Gashapon machines for ¥300 including tax starting in the third week of June, 2023. You just need to locate a Gashapon machine that features these charms, insert your money, and rotate the dial and hope you get the one you’re looking for!
