10. Most disliked arc? Why?

for one piece im gonna be honest whisky peak sucks that zoro luffy fight was so dumb and unnecessary and random and irrelevant and it makes me mad just thinking about it. frankly. i'll chalk it up to early series weirdness but like that entire thing was . incredibly mid. at least it was only like 3 chapters LMAO

for fma honestly... i dont think i have a least favorite arc? theyre all really solid no complaints here

for soul eater its been like 2 years since i read/watched it so my memory is incredibly hazy and honestly speaking the entire plot sucks so bad i dont think i could choose just one. but maybe ill choose the first three episodes/chapters for being so weirdly horny

22. Popular character you hate?

honestly for all three of these i cannot think of anybody popular who i hate because theyve all got incredibly solid characters who are very fun and generally if theyre popular they're popular for a reason

23. Unpopular character you love?

for one piece: the MARINES the marines. yes ok everybody's favorite token marines are fujitora and cora and bellmere and smoker and tashigi and maybe if we're forgetting about how much garp sucks as a person we can throw him in there too but i love akainu i love aokiji i love kizaru i love ryokugyu i love sengoku i love tsuru i love all of them so much. also fandom opinion on pudding mostly depends on where youre looking but if she counts as unpopular or at least controversial im throwing her in here too i love pudding so much she deserves the world

for fma: mr ho it really depends on who you talk to so idk if he counts as unpopular but like. controversial, definitely. the dwarf in the flask specifically as in the flask is also really funny i wish we couldve seen his & hohenheim's stupid adventures together. like a dumb miniseries or something thats my dream

for soul eater frankly i have NO idea what popular opinion is but im kind of under the impression that everybody generally likes the whole cast? i mean i do

Twilight Advent - Day 12

Twilight Advent 22, Day 12: Tell us some headcanons about a Twilight character you don't usually post about.

Here are some headcanons I have about Eleazar:

While he was still in the guard, he spent a lot of time with Chelsea, because their gifts were frequently used in combination on missions (Eleazar to identify promising gifts, Chelsea to bind them to the Volturi). However, they didn't get along too well until Afton came around.

While with the Volturi, Eleazar didn't agree with how they conducted their affairs in the South. This is something Jasper and he bonded over decades later.

Aro has kept in touch with Eleazar after he left the Volturi. Their letters have gotten fewer over the years but Eleazar is aware that it is only a matter of time before Aro calls on his services again. And he knows that if this were to happen, he'd have no other choice but to comply.

While Carmen naturally took to acting human around the Denalis human guests, Eleazar struggled with this for a while. And while he has a lot of respect for Carlisle and his lifestyle, he does not deem the 'human charade'-part of it to be desireable.

Out of the Denali clan, he is closest with Tanya. He also became fast friends with Garrett when he joined the coven.

Eleazar also shares a close friendship with Carlisle and Jasper.

He misses Spain (and Europe in general) a lot, however he enjoys the fact that in Alaska, they do not have to live as nocturnal creatures.

He never was much of a dancer before meeting Carmen, but she quickly turned that around. They really enjoy dancing together, especially to spanish and latin rhytms, as this reminds them of home.

Eleazar generally is a rather cautious and prudent character, however Carmen brings out a sunnier side in him. She regularly pulls him out of his comfort zone and he loves her for that.

What really sold me on Red Shoes and the Seven Dwarfs was the part of the movie where Snow can't get the shoes off (because deep down she's no longer so sure that she wants to be who she is without them).

It's one of the most realistically accurate scenes I have ever seen in an animated kids' movie.

Konekomaru: Hey exwires, here's a pro tip: do not write an email to your cram school teacher while you're seriously sick. Signed, a person who somehow came up with "dear hello, I am sick and not sure if I'll be alive to come tomorrow and I'm sorry, best slutantions, Miwa".

Shiemi: I mean, if someone wrote that to me, I'd probably believe they were sick.

Renzo: "Slutantions" has me crying laughing

Rin: i once emailed Shura with a migraine. a mistake. "I amsick will not to training because i have a heache. i Hope its very and i am so sorry love, blue" the subject line was "OW"

Yukio: Claritin makes me weird, but I have allergies so there’s about a month and a half block of time where I’m taking Claritin and am just weird most of the time. Anyway, last year, I got the flu or something and was also taking Mucinex. I told Shiro I couldn’t work one day by email except I couldnt think of what to say, so my medicated self decided to make a Fry meme. I think it said something like “Not sure if I can go perform an exorcism with a head the size of Gehenna, bottom text.” I didn’t think until the next day that it probably wasn’t socially-acceptable to tell the Paladin you weren’t coming on a job via Tumblr style memes. When i woke up, i found that he’d printed it out and taped it to the fridge.

Yukio: Oof you guys i turned on my laptop that I used to use back then. IT WAS ON THE DESKTOP. THIS IS WHAT I SENT. It’s even worse than i remember it

My #1 post of 2022

Apparently my best friend has never seen any of the How to Train Your Dragon movies, and I'm due for a rewatch, so we're watching them together.

We're about halfway through the first and there's two things that really stand out to me this time around:

Hiccup is funny. Like, really funny. (Sure, he's funny in the later movies, too, but there's something uniquely amusing about the self-deprecating humor of an awkward and lonely fifteen year old with absolutely no filter. It's great.)

All things considered, Stoick is actually.... a pretty decent parent. I mean, I've been reading a lot of HTTYD fics lately, and many of them portray him as this awful, domineering guy who doesn't care about his son AT ALL until he becomes "useful" or whatever. And watching the OG movie, especially from a more grown-up perspective on things, he's really not all that bad. Sure, he's not exactly getting any 'parent of the year' awards. He's a human, and he makes mistakes, but, considering the circumstances, he really is trying his best.
