What: Mrs. Jelly got a breve with Irish cream & hazelnut while Baldie went for whatever the monthly special was.  And scones.  ALWAYS SCONES!

Thoughts: This little coffee kiosk on the edge of town has quality and taste that is fantastic even though we don’t get here as often as we should.  Whether it’s the flavor of the month or a more traditional coffee the taste is always great.  Mrs. Jelly has an addiction to the scones, and has been known to forgo the coffee and stop just to pick up a few.

Depoe Bay, Oregon is the world's smallest harbor. It's known as the Whale Watching Capital of the Oregon Coast because they do hang out there... there are boat tours to see, but honestly sometimes you can stand on the shore and on the bridge and there they are in plain sight. It's also where a scene from One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest was filmed (Ken Kesey was from Oregon).

I bought these three slides a few miles down the road in Waldport, and while I just drove through Depoe Bay a couple times on my last visit to the coast two weeks ago I hung out in town and took a whale watching tour on a visit in March. 10/10

These slides were snapped by a tourist in the 1970s, judging by not only the look but how the features have changed -- such as how in where the second photo was taken there are now fences for safety and piers for mooring built in the 1990s, and were taken after the entrance widening project in the 1960s.
