It might be me but lately all videos I’ve seen of Charles he’s basically getting mobbed. Maybe it was always like this but it seems extreme. The other day Alexandra walked away from the cafe on her own and Charles picked her up from the side of the road a bit away from the cafe because the cafe/car was once again completely surrounded by people. I hope he starts either taking a bodyguard around or just stops stopping so much for people because the constant mobbing seems terrible

No, it's definitely not always been like this. And I think that especially in Monaco there has been an increase in fan presence, with last year people absolutely crossing the line by harassing him at his home. From an interview with Monaco-matin last May:

Now granted, when he goes to lunch with Alex and Leo at what is basically a tourist attraction and sits out on the terrace for the world to see, he should expect there to be a crowd. Not condoning people crowding him the way they do, but he should know beforehand this will not be an easy in and out.

The same goes for when he is in Maranello, especially when Charles himself has said that's where he will be, you can expect there to be fans outside the factory.

In some hotels it's been getting extreme (I can't quite recall whether it was last year or the year before in Mexico or Brazil that it got quite crazy already), but I think that also is a matter of the hotels needing to manage this better. In Montreal there are a lot of fans, but they have them outside, with barriers, so the drivers can go up to them and sign in peace (or go straight in if they're tired). Versus what we just saw in Shanghai where Charles was driven to the point where he batted away someone shoving a mini helmet in his face to get signed. I've NEVER seen him do something like that before. And he should just not be put in the position where he is being mobbed like that in a hotel lobby.

So yes, while some of these situations could be resolved by hotels being better prepared, Charles could also do with a bodyguard. Or at the very least, ask the fans to leave him alone at certain times, like when he's having dinner in Monaco. I think he may be reluctant to do the latter, because he does go to a lot of promotional events as well, and then he wants to be seen/photographed for his personal brand and/or a sponsor. Plus let's face it: he also loves all the attention, knows it won't last forever, and never forgets how much it means to fans to meet him or get his autograph/selfie.

Jaskier collects Geralt of Rivia Gwent cards and forces Geralt to write his name on them. „Why?“ Geralt asks and Jaskier says, „Well, you’re Geralt of Rivia, aren’t you?“ so Geralt thinks it’s just another of those weird things that Jaskier does and signs the cards.

But then he comes to Oxenfurt in the spring to meet with Jaskier for their travels and there’s students from the university playing cards in the tavern of the inn he’s staying at. And Geralt witnesses how one girl goes „Melitele, you’ve got a signed one? When I came to get one from Pankratz, they were already all sold!“ and her opponent just laughs and says „He gave me the last one for an extra low price.“ A fight breaks out, apparently because this Pankratz guy told multiple students and even some lecturers that they were getting the last signed card and Geralt wonders, What the hell do they mean with signed cards? Until a brawl breaks out where the gwent decks go flying and Geralt is faced with a (inaccurately drawn) image of himself and his messy scrawl reading Geralt o. R. and suddenly it all makes sense.

He confronts Jaskier about it but the bard justs grins cheekily and hands him another stack of Geralt of Rivias, waving a couple of Yennefers in his other hand. „You think I could get her to sign with „witch“?“ he asks while offering Geralt his ink and quill. And Geralt hums, amused, takes the quill and writes Geralt o. R. on the first card. It is a good way of making coin and if he notices how Jaskier keeps a card to himself, well, he’s got a second Dandelion somewhere hidden in his pack as well.

aight my dude you asked for it, buckle in because this is a long one. Also gonna tag @mooseonahunt because i know youre curious about my Turbo rant too. But i think that Turbo and his human friend, Tito, were the real antagonist assholes of that film.

Imagine you are a professional athlete. You've worked hard for years, spent countless hours and training and gone through multiple failures so that you can be the best at what you can do. You've put in the work and spent years of your life dedicating yourself to this sport and now finally, you've made it.

You're good at what you do and you want to be able to inspire others as well. You tell them that if you believe in yourself enough then you can do whatever you set your mind to. Because it's possible and you were able to do yourself.

The season is dwindling down and the big race that you've been training for is coming up. You've worked SO hard to be here and you're recognized as the top in your league. It's all been worth it.

And then you find out that one of your competitors is a snail.

So you have two choices now: 1. race the snail and beat it, and everyone will be like "Hey remember that super fast snail? How crazy is that?" or 2. get your ass whooped by a snail in a NASCAR RACE

it doesn't matter if the snail has dreamed about racing, because in the end it's a question of whether or not your career is going to be destroyed, because you'd be known as the guy WHO GOT BEAT BY A FUCKING SNAIL

Also the human character, Tito, who helped Turbo get into the race was a delusional-ass motherfucker who raced snails all day while his brother worked hard to keep their business open! And his brother had a rainy-day savings that was supposed to be used for the business for when their vital equipment broke down and Tito fucking STOLE IT?? AND LEFT AN 'IOU' NOTE???

If that were me i would be PISSED. Wouldn't matter if they won the race and got the winner money either because someone i trusted would've gone behind my back and stolen 10,000 DOLLARS FROM ME! TO ENTER A GODDAMN SNAIL IN A FUCKING RACE!!

i think he should've taken him to small claims court all honesty.

but yeah Turbo and Tito are delusional assholes and i believe they're the real antagonist of the movie. And there you have my Turbo rant that all of my friends and siblings and one of my coworkers has heard. Hope it met your expectations <3
