exaaactly like i know what they had was real love, taylor is smart and she wouldn’t have let it go on as long as she did if there wasn’t a very real, mutual connection that wasn’t one-sided. like, there had to be some, probably many, redeeming qualities about him. not that we would know! only she knows those! and i guess the other girls he’s dated! so yeah i know it was real but in hindsight it almost feels like he was leading her on because he knew how famous she was, if he didn’t want that, he could’ve dipped.

yes this!!! you’re right on everything with taylor so i won’t elaborate but with joe, he knew going into it what it would be like (as taylor alluded to with the lover music video and mentioning how he joined her fishbowl) but if it got to be to much and he couldn’t handle it/didn’t want that he could’ve also left to which is why it honestly stings to see how it ended. like he was frustrated by his career not going anywhere cause he’s only known as taylor’s boyfriend but he also won’t go and fix the situation himself.
