Can someone please either validate me or send me to the Corner of Shame? This is very silly but I'm wondering.

So. I was talking to my sister the other day about movies and such, and she told me of one she recently watched with this one actor. And I casually mentioned how much I hated him. Not in a "he's a bad actor" or "he's a bad person" way. Nothing to do with whether I find him attractive or not. Just in a "he looks the most punchable guy on earth and I have this irrational rage against him" way, to the point that I just can't watch movies with him without being annoyed.

My sister looked at me like I was crazy because, "what do you mean you hate the guy". And I told her yeah? That's normal? Don't you have at least one person you can't stand for no reason?

Sister was like 😬😬😬 No??? Which is wild to me, because I could easily name 50 (which I did - not 50 but we were getting close to 20 before i got too annoyed lmao).

Now she thinks I'm slightly insane (/j) (I made myself angry and may have referred to a few individuals as "stupid" and "obnoxious"), and I kinda don't believe I am the only person alive who feels this way. But also she's an incredibly empathetic extrovert, while I'm a very low empath socially anxious creechur so. There's that?? I guess ?? Idk.

Can anyone relate to this? Or am I the weird one?

Also wait. Little disclaimer: I am not generally a violent person AT ALL. Do i get annoyed and angry easily? Yeah. Do I feel like bitch slapping someone right across their stupid face? Yeah, sometimes, sure. Do I do something about it? Not really.

I can be real bitchy and extra sarcastic and petty SURE, but that's the most I'll do if I am legitimately angry. Mostly I just go to my room and cry 🥺 (crying when angry yes it me). So yeah. Before yall think I have unsolved anger issues.

fun fact my therapist knows me better than anyone else on this planet probably and she knows i'm a lesbian. however. i kinda uh... missed my window to come out as trans and now it's been like a year and a half and i feel like bringing it up would just be awkward.

mostly because i have no idea how to do it since i don't think i've ever had to like. properly 'come out' to anyone. usually i just tell people my name and they use it for me without asking why my government name is different lol

NGL, it is very mindboggling to me as a person coming from a police and commercial detection dog training background that so many people who do nosework seem to struggle with imprinting? Like I see it brought up frequently as one of the most common challenges people have and want webinars or classes for, and I’m like... but that’s the easiest part of detection???

#which also seems to imply that nosework people aren't taking any pointers from actual detection dog training too which I find odd #because imprinting is a non-issue for working detection dog training #it's like the first easy step that you breeze past and is mostly done in the form of playing games #not even involving any sort of formal training setup or clicker or often even treats because the play is the training and the reward #unless you have a dog who is significantly more motivated by food than play in which case food rewards might be used #not to like downplay the struggle of people who are having issues with imprinting I'm just very curious *why*#like what is the piece that nosework trainers or classes are missing that is leading people to struggle with it so often?#is it the method they're using? the equipment? is it missing base knowledge on how scent works scientifically and how dogs imprint on scent #maybe I'll take some nosework classes one day to see more of what things look like on the sport side and why those issues keep popping up #my suspicion is that it is mostly method and equipment #causing cross contamination issues for imprinting and causing people to expect the imprinting to be successful before that's feasible #basically rushing it and not having enough direct in-nose-and-mouth target odor contact before moving on to searching and alert shaping #I'm just rambling because detection is a special interest of mine don't mind me #if you ever want me to talk forever and never shut up ask me about detection dog training lol #OH also trying to imprint multiple odors at the same time #i bet thats a part of the problem #i see posts with people talking about inteoducing 3 or 4 odors in one session sometimes and am like??????#imprint one odor completely then start the next one or at least keep them confined to separate sessions

Hahahahaha it's a tough one but I love it.

A dear mutual put it best a few days ago when she said that the state of Allen & Diggs' relationship is directly correlated to how well the football is going. And I completely agree. To me they're a very fun duo in that watching them is like watching a train wreck, or when they're doing well, fireworks. Explosions either way though.

Joe'Marr though is the duo i'm most heavily invested in at the moment (the moment being the last year of my life almost). They have their own brand of insanity and while it's less overt than Diggs and Allen, it's very much there and fascinating to me. The little glimpses we get of what they actually mean to each other hidden behind Ja'Marr's constantly changing stories and Joe's rare openness. All of the history they have with each other at this point. The constant gestures of the game ball, the jersey, the pinky promise. The way they just know each other, better than anyone else on the team (how they both always emphasize they don't need words with each other). Ugh it hurts my heart truly and I cannot wait to see them together again in a few weeks!!!

#like yeah diggs is crazy about allen #100% true #but ja'marr is just as crazy about joe #i love both these duos - really any qb/wr relationship is just crazy by necessity #one thing i'm really curious about - but hope to never have to learn #is how joe and ja'marr might deal with losing #not meeting expectations #like allen and diggs recently #both teams have incredible records and skill #but at this point the bills are falling and the bengals are rising #joe and ja'marr have only known winning and shattering expectations with each other #that will always make it easier to have a good relationship #how will they do if and when they fail #praying they stay strong but you really never know!#(but i mean when they weren't doing well at the beginning of last season #joe just wore ja'marr's jersey to break the curse and remember what made them good #aka each other #so if they're doing badly i'm sure another insane gesture can solve it)#ok i'm done now. too many words.#ask #anon

#i need to write a prequel to aa4 pls pls pls pls pls #okay get this: so phoenix isnt disbarred yet and he doesnt have trucy. hes still taking and winning cases #one day he gets a call from edgeworth and hes all like ''wright i need your assistance'' and hes like what for and edgeworth goes #''ive been given the most ridiculous case and i think youre the only man in law who can take care of it''#so phoenix bikes his ass to the detention center and boom. child behind bars #and phoenix is like ??? hey kid what are doing here. and this kid is the most surly mfer on the planet like you couldnt get-#-a word out of him if you tried. hes kinda giving phoenix the stink eye too but hes just the littlest guy on earth #and phoenix feels bad for him so he tries to get a rundown of the case (maybe edgeworth gave him an autopsy report or smth beforehand)#but get this. the kid still wont speak. he hasnt even moved a muscle. and after some prodding you find out this little dude-#-doesnt speak english (i dont love aa6 but i think apollos tragic backstory can be interesting so we're going w that but taking it seriousl #anyways so maya is like omg this kid is speaking khurainese but hers is kinda broken bc shes not from the mainland and only knows it-#-from like prayers #so you only get bits and pieces of the kids testimony. plus he still doesnt wanna talk bc ''dhurk told me not to talk to you''#so you start following the new lead but you ask too many questions and apollos like oh shit i said too much and wont talk to you anymore #but now you have two leads: khur'ain and a man named ''dhurk'' plus the fact that this is kid might be new to america since-#-he cant speak english but is smack dab in the middle of california. its all v curious and phoenix wants to get to the bottom of it #for the rest of the case i feel like it would go in the direction of ''we dont know exactly whats up w this dhurk guy or where this kid-#-came from but we do get him acquitted and phoenix is able to save him from the dark path he was heading towards'' thus steering apollo-#-in the direction of law and giving him a wayyyy better reason than aa6 gave him <3 #i kind of like the interlinked nature of ace attorney's storytelling. like everything leads into smth else and everyone is impacted-#-by another person before they even become properly entangled w each other's lives #like how mia faced dahlia years before she met phoenix but dahlia was the one to connect them #or how trucy gave phoenix the diary paper but she's also the one who ropes apollo into the waa. even before they know they're siblings #or how lamoire left apollo and trucy as children and when they reunite as adults they cant recognise each other but they all find each-#-other anyways #i could go on but i think this could be cool yknow esp bc i think the most interesting thing about apollo's aa6 backstory is his life-#-post dhurk. like where did he stay? was he a foster kid? was he put into the system? how did that affect him? what kind of ppl took him in #i just wanna know how that whole thing would have effected him bc like when yiu think about it how did he even get to america?? his dad's #-considered a terrorist. idk man i think its interesting and apollo and dhurks interactions are one of the only good parts of aa6

I don't even think ATLUS realizes that the Female Protagonist is popular and if they do they don't know WHY

You get to have social links with the male party members and Ryoji (Junpei's social link is one of the best), you get to choose your Velvet Room attendant, you get to save Shinjiro, you get two fan favorite characters, Saori and Rio, Yukari misgenders femc and Fuuka misgenders Theo, every female party member and Elizabeth have a bisexual awakening because of femc

And then in FES the Answer gives us AMAZING character development for Yukari Aigis and Mitsuru plus it introduces an underrated character that Atlus has ignored ever since in Metis

So why not have both. Baffling.

Yeah it is kinda like crazy that they could literally make everyone happy by just combining portable and fes into this upcoming remake and add the new stuff they want to add but ig that's just not what they wanted to do 😫

Reading that article and the ign one it seems that they're really bent on remaking the persona 3 experience as opposed to like idk make a definitive edition to the game (which is what most p3 fans want). There's not really much we can say there because I suppose from like an "artistic" point of view so to speak they chose to bring the original p3 experience (well fes' journey) to newer audiences. As I said before there's absolutely nothing wrong with that HOWEVER I do think that adding the extra content from fes and portable would have served that goal way better than just... remaking p3. As you said both the answer and portable add much more dimension to the story and characters of p3 so by essentially ignoring that not only are you doing the game a disservice (im like 90% sure portable is canon and 100% sure the answer is canon) but it's also gonna confuse new fans when we start talking about Metis or Erebus or idk what actually happened in the final battle of p3.

Unless of course Atlus is planning on retconning the answer and portable. Which... wouldn't be great. But hey at this point I am curious as to see what they're gonna do but I'll say it rn none of the remake stuff will be canon in my eyes.

i know i’ve been super quiet recently and it’s mainly because my life has been in absolute shambles and i’m trying to keep myself distracted every second of the day lest i go utterly insane and also nothing ever goes on with me in general so i’m not sure what to... talk about really. but i think i’ll start endeavouring to more often, or at least when i feel up for it since i know isolating myself twenty four seven isn’t healthy haha.

so uh...... i’m nearly finished with my novel! i only have a few more chapters but i’m estimating it’ll be done by the middle or end of summer depending on how the editing process goes :) don’t know how long it’ll be until i publish it afterwards since i’m not exactly sure how to like, go about doing all of that stuff but i’ve put a lot of effort into it, and i really hope it shows eventually.

Random thing, but if you were to give all the Cookies with job descriptor names actual food/drink names, what would you name them?

Here, I’ll list some I was thinking

Alchemist Cookie —> Grape Cookie (because of her hair poofs)

Vampire Cookie —> I was initially thinking Apple Cookie (or maybe Apple Juice Cookie), given he kind of gave me apple vibes, but looking at him I’m not so sure. Honestly he reminds me more of strawberry syrup, so maybe Strawberry Syrup Cookie?

Wizard Cookie —> Ice Cream Cookie (since he looks like ice cream)
