Ive been playing Star Wars: Racer. Yeah, the n64 game. It has a switch port. Pretty fun. The main loop in the tournament mode is upgrading and repairing your vehicle so you can perform in the more high end races.

Anyway: Street racer Shera au. Catra races to prove she's the best, she tries to repair her own car. Scorpia records *every* race and has a flag saying "best driving cat xoxo :)" on it with a picture of Catra as a cat. Catra hates it.

One day Glimmer shows up with a porsche and beats Catra after a neck and neck race, Catra is so mad she recruits the help of her very off-the-books engineer friend Entrapta who she has never let touch her precious Subaru before. Entrapta says Catra's repeated patchwork jobs have fucked up the car, which hurts Catra's pride, but within three days the thing is repaired and modded with lighter wheels, removed furniture, and an ungodly turbo boost, also she puts refined kerosine in a secondary tank, don't ask.

Anyway Catra and Glimmer, who has also begged her boyfriend to design cute little decal faces for her car, pull up ready to start their rematch, when suddenly an enormous pink limo comes out and blocks the racing path. Out of the car steps Angella, who had weaselled the truth out of Bow, who stands next to her ashamed.

Everyone watches in bewilderment as this tense race gets interrupted by a teenager and her mother yelling at each other about how this ALWAYS happens and she is SO grounded and she only has a learner's insurance for the car anyway so why is she driving alone in the first place.

Okay, so first of all you just unlocked several childhood memories lol. When TPM came out I got super into it and had this awful dorky padawan obi-wan costume from like target that I wore the apprentice braid from until it fell to pieces and played TPM tie in computer game non-stop. So my parents were like, “Huh, neat.” And got us Star Wars: Racer but for the PC (Episode I: Racer? It had a different name I think but that cover art instantly took me back). Anyhow me and my sister took turns playing it and when she convinced me to prank call someone for the first time ever (something she’d also never done) we dialed a random number and just held the phone to the speakers while the game was playing.

The lady called back and left a stern voicemail about prank calls that shamed us so much we actually stopped playing the game afterwards 😂

ANYHOW

I actually like the idea that Catra does basic work on the car decently, but she can probably install mods with some issues and run ins. I wouldn’t trust a street racer who can’t do some work on their own car! (I say having known a small handful of them actually lol, my hometown is notorious for street racing and even my brother in law used to get in on the act) That said, I can see her being one of those people who mis-installs a fancier system of some kind. Like, the new fly wheel works great but Catra fucked up the new muffler system and didn’t realize it because it happened because of something else in the system, ya know? Entrapta would still 100% tell her she fucked up her car because Entrapta is sensitive to the feelings of the vehicles. Catra does not understand what the fuck that means but she’s not gonna ask when Entrapta somehow supercharged her turbo and put in experimental wheels and axels that are light but strong. Catra was excited when she replaced the hood and trunk with carbon because the car was so much lighter and better afterwards. This is that times twelve! Catra swears off self repairs because she literally can’t make heads of tails of it anymore, and also Entrapta wants to.

Glimmer absolutely bought her way into the sport, but it’s her hard work that got her to be a street racer. She used to go to the track and at first just did straight shot races, mostly against herself. She took Bow in it once, and his face was frozen between pure joy and pure terror under the helmet he was forced to wear and borrow by the racetrack. Angella didn’t like her daughter’s hobby, but at least it wasn’t a motorcycle or heaven forbid that dangerous street racing. Glimmer would eventually move up to track racing and then decided to take her skills to the roads and see. Bow is not thrilled by this, but he is an overly supportive boyfriend and will support her hobby gosh darn it!!! He demands that she wear a safety suit and helmet which she does making her look extra dorky compared to the rest but she races well!

When her and Catra face off for the first time it is neck and neck because Catra has more practical knowledge than Glimmer. Both of her car and the streets, but Glimmer’s build up with her car means she has more practiced skills that are too dangerous for drivers to learn on the streets on the fly. Mostly though Glimmer keeps up because of her ability to have thrown money at her fancy car. By the time Catra and Glimmer are ready for their re-match, Catra’s car is now on par with Glimmer’s money machine but Glimmer has been able to spend the time on the roads learning the routes more and becoming more familiar with the feel of street racing.

Mostly thanks to impromptu races, don’t tell her mom.

Except whoopsies! Bow totally crumbled like a house of cards. Glimmer and Catra are old enough, have their full licenses, and really have done nothing wrong as the street races they went against one another in were both sanctioned. Sure, they both do illegal races too but legal ones for big multi-car groups. So when Angella rolls up in her limo and gets in a full out fight with Glimmer there isn’t much that can be done about it. They go head to head again (ignoring everyone else there) and this time Catra beats Glimmer.

Now they have a back and forth going on where they keep facing off under various situations, and eventually end up in a long sanctioned race where you need a copiolt to actually tell you were to go and help out. Bow gets freaked out right before it starts and Angella offers to go in his place.

Look, Glimmer got her love of fast cars from someone.

Catra takes Entrapta as she’s quick, clever, and also knows what to do if the refined kerosine goes sideways.

Over the radio the whole time both teams just bicker with one another and each other, they both end up off the track somehow and are now racing illegally just against one another. The finish is a photo finish, and also filled with cops. Angella pays for everyone’s bail and they go for either a drink or ice cream. They may or may not race one another on the way there too. Bow and Scorpia meet them because “Wow! But also, don’t do that to me again please!”

In the Bratz Doll Legacy challenge you will find the nostalgic feeling and faint scent of lipsmackers overwhelming your senses with every generation. We created this challenge in hopes of bringing our favorite glossy lipped, cat eyed girls to life via sims! We hope you enjoy playing, just as much as we enjoyed creating it! Enjoy xoxo

DISCLAIMER: not BG friendly (yet ^_^)

Basic Rules:

Each heir of the generation must complete their career, aspiration, and their must-have skill(s) assigned to them. Bonus skills aren’t required but adds more fun to the game.

Must follow the sexuality of each generation. Their spouse can have any traits, careers, and aspirations that you would like to give them.

Pronouns aren’t a must but are recommended to follow to give your sims more diversity.

Each generation has favorite colors, you’re more than welcome to dress them or decorate their house with it but it isn't a requirement.

Some skills and bonuses might not make sense, but each and every bratz has hobbies in either dance/fashion/music. Instead of repeating careers, we took the time to really learn the girls’ personalities so we could give them a more unique life path!

Their style doesn’t have to be followed but is highly recommended.

-modern au where students of hopes peak academy don’t have ultimates and don’t take part of the killing games, but their daily lives reflect their ultimates n’ stuff! -mod corn

Aoi Asahina

- a professional swimmer obviously - has gotten multiple golden medals from olympics - spends her “offtime” cooking with her brother and sakura - has a calico cat named krispy kreme, cherishes it - loves Sakura (no homo) to death Byakuya Togami

- is known as the “can i speak to your manager” guy in town - main funder of Kyoko’s detective agency, CEO of his father’s Future Foundation corporation - inherited this spot after his father retired - foundation is dedicated to making advanced technology - acts like he doesn’t wanna spend time with Makoto and Kyoko after college, actually does Celestia Ludenburg

- is known online for her classy “Celestia” persona - has an insta / snap / etc dedicated to flaunting her gambling skills - spends what she earns on vintage lolita dresses and rare tea - fan of Chiaki’s gaming channel especially when she plays gambling games - people have placed bets on if she’ll feature on the channel to play said gambling games - mainly buys from Junko because her gothic clothing slaps

Chihiro Fujisaki

- professional indie game developer - was taught by Mondo how to ride bikes, is scared of it but enjoys it? - Taka always reminds him “No lewd games”, so his games are mostly for kids - keeps his identity a secret so he has a mascot called “Alter-Ego” - lots of his game characters are based on his friends Taka and Mondo!!

Hifumi Yamada

- has this dude showered recently? the world may never know. - one of the more famous fanfic creators, has definitely made hentai - has a $100k total anime figure collection - is a religious fan of Celeste’s content, is always white knighting her - never grew out of his fanfic phase, never will

Junko Enoshima

- her personalities are more toned down, but frequent emotional mood swings - showcases this in her fashion shows by having pastel clothing then straight to 2009 emo phase - is an instagram influencer - cannot walk one foot without her face being on at least ONE advertisement outside - agencies are kinda scared to work with her cause she’s stingy and very rough - loves her sister!! mostly works to provide for her sister Kiyotaka Ishimaru

- is chief of local police force after failing to become a politician - he’s still trying, will get there someday - frequently goes to school to show the kids old 2005 videos about “don’t do drugs” - lectures Chihiro about safe riding until Mondo influenced him to ride a police bike instead of police car - has not touched alcohol one (1) time ever since he turned 21 Kyoko Kirigiri

- runs a detective agency dedicated to her father - he’s not dead but he says “they’ve grown apart” after her freshman year in highschool - hangs out with Makoto a lot at his flower shop - buys from him a lot cause she has to give flowers to families after deaths sometimes - they will probably get married in the future periadt

Leon Kuwata

- after a flamboyant start in Little League he’s gone pro! - inspiration to little kids everywhere - prob gets high with Yasuhiro after games - he is kinda dumb don’t expect him to know 2+2 - but he has everything about baseball and its famous players memorized

Makoto Naegi

- he’s baby your honor - takes care of stray animals - runs a flower shop cause he just has such amazing luck?? - shop is set next to a crosswalk so he can help old ladies - used to be a countryy boyyy, grew vegetables for the poor

Mondo Oowada

- hasn’t grown out of the “i was popular in highschool so i can do this” phase - kind of a bad influence on Taka and Chihiro, but in a good way - despite his tough appearance actually loves his friends (and pets) - has a little bird he keeps to himself named Diamond, takes it for rides with its lil helmet

Mukuro Ikusaba

- is Junko’s bodyguard, every fan and paparazzi is scared of her - was forced to become it after Junko said no to her joining the military - has been in the police force for many years but now she’s dedicated to her sis - knows all types of defense, will break ur arm mwah - Junko uses her as a model when designing clothing - has “hand me down” boots from Junko cus they’re stylish

Sakura Oogami

- runs self defense and martial arts classes - has a cooking show that features Aoi every now and then - big big softie she likes children - wanted to become an idol to children. kinda did? - when she was in college she had a sign on her saying “walk with me if you feel scared” anytime she went out. helped many college kiddies!!

Sayaka Maizono

- famous jpop idol obviously - debuted when she was like 16, became the next Justin Bieber tbh - still keeps in touch with Makoto, lost her crush a long time ago tho - despite her looks she’s very athletic and strong! - friends with Sakura after she had to walk with her frequently at her college

Toko Fukawa

- always writes letters to Hifumi to “make a fanfic about Byakuya plz” - gets turned down everytime - works at a library and is the author of 70% of the books in there - prob used to be a fanfic writer at age 12 bless - most of her murder and erotic novels come from Genocide Jill™ - doesn’t murder but does write scary letters to her idol that are like “I will love you forever want me to send you my heart xoxo”

Yasuhiro Hagakure

- was a drug dealer in highschool. still is lowkey. - people say his psychic business is a coverup - went on a TV show saying he was a great fortune teller, embarrassed himself - randomly pops up in different towns to give fortunes

Time for a bit of sleep with the Code: Realize character ofyour choice!

Lupin (with special guest Mod Apostle): Hmm…. Thinking of his background he can probably fall asleep anywhere and inalmost any position. As a Paris street kid he wouldn’t have had a choice. As athief the ability to take light cat naps anywhere would be useful. He probablyhas an irregular sleeping pattern. Sometimes sleeping really late, but atothers barely sleeping at all. After a long heist he just collapses on the bedand is out. No special preparation needed.

With Cardia (and I imagine any partner – Mod Nautilus) it iscanon that he’s a cuddly, clingy big spoon who likes to sleep with Cardiatucked in his arms.

Van:Van is in a similar situation to Lupin, except I imagine that with him his sleepingpositions are usually more defensive. He’ll usually sleep on his side, ready tospring into action at any moment. This… isn’t the most comfortable way, butsince he’s usually very tired by the time he gets into bed, he doesn’t have anytrouble falling asleep.

With a partner, Van likes sleeping back-to-back with them.Not only does it make him feel safer, but the warmth is very soothing.

Fran: Fran generally works on fumes, so when he’s able to get a good night’s sleep herelishes it. He usually sleeps on his back, almost like a cute prince waitingfor a kiss. He likes to use more than one pillow if at all possible, and likesto sleep with the covers tucked up to his chest.

Fran enjoys holding his partner close, almost like they’re ateddy bear. Well, that’s how it starts. Fran somehow always ends up being thelittle spoon… not that he minds, he likes feeling his partner’s arms wrappedaround him.

Saint: When Saint does sleep (IF Saint sleeps), it’s usually very light. He’s evenmore prepared than Van, and less obvious about it. To the untrained eye, helooks like he’s in deep slumber, usually on his back or side. That’s theirmistake.

With a partner, Saint is very accommodating. He is morelikely to adjust his position to mesh with his partner’s. That being said,Saint loves being able to fall asleep with his lips and nose against his partner’shair. The smell is soothing and familiar, and it helps him relax.

Impey:Is there a window? Yes? Okay, good, Impey is sleeping facing the window. Helikes to fall asleep with his eyes on the moon, always ahead towards thefuture. Other than that, he likes sleeping on his stomach, usually with one ofhis arms as an additional pillow. His snoring isn’t as loud as some characters’,but you can definitely hear his Zzzzzzs if you’re snoozing next to him. Impeyalso has the magical ability to fall asleep anywhere. It comes with his job.His favorite place outside of a bed, though, is in the back of his automobile.

With a partner, Impey is big spoon. Period. And when I saybig spoon, I mean he’s kind of clinging to his partner with all his strength.Actually, his favorite position would be with his partners’ legs and armsdraped over him, like they just can’t get close enough. Sholmes: I imagine that he prefers to fall asleep in one of his armchairs for a bitbefore making his way back to his bed, where he can fall asleep in any positionhe falls into. If he tries to go straight to bed without napping in a chairfirst, he usually lies awake for a few hours before falling into a fitful rest.It’s almost like he has to trick his body into falling asleep.

This habit is lessened by a partner’s presence, though he wouldstill enjoy sharing a nightcap with them. He’s pretty hands-off when it comesto sleeping next to someone, but he does like holding hands as he falls asleep.It’s a nice reminder that someone’s there while he’s able to keep his ownspace.

Finis:Sometimes, when Finis is feeling lonely, he’ll fall asleep leaning with hisback against a wall. It reminds him of before, when he first woke up… afterall, he is only a doll, isn’t he? But once he begins living with his sister,Finis enjoys sleeping on his side with his hair undone and streaming out behindhim. It’s really only a coincidence that he’s facing in the direction of wherehis sister’s bed is. Only a coincidence.

Delacroix II: Delly likes to sleep on his stomach with his legs and arms splayed out like he’sa starfish. It takes him a long time to fall asleep, but once he does he’s avery sound sleeper… almost like a baby.

Aleister: Aleister doesn’t enjoy sleeping, but he acknowledges that it’s the best way tokeep in peak condition. He makes sure he always gets six hours of sleep- nomore, no less (unless he’s busy with work… or a personal project). He sleeps onhis back and is as still and silent as the grave.

… This doesn’t change, even when he has a partner. If hispartner wants to sleep close to him, they would have to do it of their ownaccord. He won’t try to move them if they lay with their head on his chest orhugging his arm, but don’t expect him to reciprocate. The man’s trying to getsome rest!

Nemo:You ever seen a beetle on its back? With its limbs in strange positionsand just kind of… twitching every now and then? That’s Nemo when he’s asleep. Oh,except he’s also snoring so loud that the windows are rattling. Yeah, he’s justas loud asleep as he is when he’s awake. He always has a braid pinned up,because if he forgets then he’ll usually wake up choking on his hair.

With a partner, Nemo is the neediest and most demandinglittle spoon you will ever meet. He wants to feel you next to him, so don’teven think about pulling back! Keep your arms around him, remind him that he’ssupposed to be there! If you don’t, then he’ll just have to hold you instead.And, oh, he will hold you tight. Good luck sleeping well if that happens. : )

Hansel:Have you seen the bags under this kid’s eyes? I don’t think he sleeps. At all.If he does, then he would be clinging to Gretel with all his might.

With a partner… he would still want to keep Gretel close by.He’d have her propped up against the bed in a spot where he could easily lookover and see her. Ah, but with a partner he’d do the same for them, too. He won’tlet you out of his sight… so sleep well and dream of a candyland…
