Hey...” It’s then, after a few moments of silence, that his A.I. companion finally interacts. “Hello Peter...” Is all Karen says. It’s all she needed to say. After all, she was heartbroken and upset. And, despite being a generated algorithm, designed especially for Peter, she had every right to be. “Look, I’m sorry I haven’t turned you on lately. In fact, seems I’m more skilled at turning people off to be honest. I didn’t mean to.. Ya know? I’m had no intention of neglecting, or ignoring you, ok? I just...” [ PLINK! ] Now consumed in thought, an empty cartridge of web fluid springs from his wrist, Peter watching it tumble end over end as it plummets quickly to the street below. “It’s “just”, that you fell in love. And, now you’ve come to talk to me, because that part of your life is suffering. You know I’m a shoulder to cry on. It’s not like you have anyone else.” As her calculated response cuts deep, Peter gets up from his seated position, his iconic mask dangling precariously upon a few sticky fingertips. “Not helping K... I’m just... Ya know.. I wish... Why can’t I just be who I am? I can’t do, or act in anyway without the eyes of the paparazzi, and the judging thoughts of others caving in on me. Do you have any idea what it’s like to be scrutinized at every turn? How it feels to be viewed in so many different ways? I hate being Spider-Man right now. But, even worse, I think I hate being Peter Parker more.” As a deep sigh escapes his lips, Peter curses himself under his breath. Of all the enemies he’s amassed over the years. He himself, was the worst. “So, IT is women troubles.
