Stay with me (part 2)

pairing: (adult) Eren Yeager x reader

you should’ve known something was very wrong with man in front of you. there was no way he was going to let you slip from his hands like that. when he kidnapped you from the survey corps, you knew that you won’t be able to escape that easily.

after learning about his plan and subsequently going against him and refusing to be part of his plan, eren didn’t hesitate to lock you up in a foreign place in the middle of nowhere, far away from everyone else. no matter how much you screamed for him to let you go or claw at his back, eren refused to let you go.

it’s been three days. three days since eren locked you up in this cold and dark room, with two yeagerists keeping watch outside your room all around the clock. there was nothing in the room except for a huge bed in the middle and a chair at the entrance of the room, the sun setting outside the window. as a form of protest, you refused to ingest any of the food or water they brought for you doing meal times. after eren heard of your little tantrum, he personally came down to coax you into eating, even if it’s just a little bit. today was no different.

“y/n, love. please don’t be like this, okay? come on, open your mouth. be a good darling for me.” eren knelt in front of you, his hand outstretched towards you with a spoon in his hand.

“...”

“... y/n, please. don’t make me worry.” eren sighed.

“...”

“fine. if you want to continue being like this, i’ll have no choice but to force feed you.”

upon hearing eren’s words, you instinctively shuffled your feet closer to your chest, the rattling of the cuffs around your ankles and the feeling of the collar around your neck being the evidence of eren’s twisted love.

“what do you want me to do, y/n?” eren cried out in exasperation.

silence met his question. you were itching to have a glass of water to soothe your dry and raw throat, but you held back in stubbornness. there was no way you were going to do what eren says unless he releases you.

“don’t be like this, okay? i’ll get you anything you want, just eat your food already. it breaks my heart to see you looking so pale and weak. please, y/n.” eren begged.

“then release me.” you looked up at eren with defiant eyes. “you’ll get me anything i want, right? i want my freedom back. i want to get away from you, away from your insane ideals.”

for a moment, eren was stunned. stunned at your sudden outburst, but quickly recovered.

“i told you many times, y/n. i can’t do that. i love you, and i want you to stay by my side where i can care for you forever. have you forgotten about that?” eren let out a humorless chuckle. “it isn’t funny, y/n. saying you want to leave me and all. i love you, you know that right?”

“but i hate you.” you retorted, a single tear running down your face as your eyes became blurry. “i hate how you’re doing this to me.”

“...”

“it doesn’t matter. if i have to break your will for you to love me again, i’ll do it. did you forget our promise to each other when we were younger? that we’ll love each other no matter what?” eren replied quietly as he placed the bowl of food in his hand onto the floor before reaching for you.

instantly, you recoiled in disgust and shook his hand away from your shoulder. how could you love this man right in front of you? he was no longer the same eren you knew- the eren that would fight for humanity alongside the survey corps that he looked up to so much. or at least, he used to. drawing your knees closer to your chest, you turned away from him and faced the wall, your body shaking ever so slightly as tears fall from your face silently.

“i hate you.” you whispered. “i really, really hate you, eren yeager. i was wrong about you.”

“y/n, i-”

a sharp knock on the door interrupted eren. “pardon the intrusion,” an unfamiliar voice called out. “i am terribly sorry for having to disturb you, master eren. but you are needed right away in the strategy room.”

a deep sigh came from behind you, and there was shuffling to indicate that eren was getting up from kneeling on the floor.

“i’ll be back soon, please just at least get some rest on the bed, okay? i’ll see you soon my love.”

“...”

with one last sigh, eren exited the room, the sound of the door being locked resonating in your mind.

you couldn’t take this anymore. you had to somehow get away from here before eren decides it’s time to break you will. you had no idea how he was going to do it, and you didn’t want to stay around any longer to find out. but how were you going to escape? your feet were cuffed and the collar attached to your neck was too short for you to reach the window or door. everything you had in your possession when you were kidnapped was taken away from you, leaving you weaponless.

before you come up with an escape plan, there was a knock on the door. you half expected it to be eren, but a huge wave of relief crashed over you when the maid assigned to take care of you entered instead.

“master eren has ordered me to prepare a bath for you.” the maid bowed and kept her eyes on the floor. “please follow me.”

as she moved to removed the collar and the cuffs around your ankles, you immediately wrapped a hand around her slender neck and pushed her tiny frame onto the bed.

“i don’t want to hurt you, so just give me anything sharp you have. if you try anything funny, i’ll kill you.” you warned, your heart pounding wildly as you realized what you just did. there was no going back now. as the maid tried to pry your hand off her neck, you pressed down even more firmly as a warning. seeing that she had no intention of defying eren and subsequently suffering his wrath, you had no choice but to search her to find anything that might help you escape.luckily, you found a small knife in one of the pockets.

“sorry, i got you dragged into this.” you whispered as you release your grip on her neck. as soon as she was free, the maid opened her mouth to scream. in your panic, you made a clean hit on the back of her neck, causing the poor girl to fall unconscious at your feet. silently, you thanked mikasa for teaching you that move.

after making sure that she was really unconscious, you silently made your way to the front door, grabbing the chair, you made your way towards the window. there was no way you could take out the two guards behind the door before one of them alerts the rest of their people. the window was your last resort. it’ll cause a commotion with the noise of glass shattering, but you were confident you could evade the guards and make a clean escape. taking in a shaky breath, you took aim and braced yourself.

the moment the chair make contact with the glass window, you wasted no time in jumping out of the now broken window and onto the thick bushes just below the room. staying as still as possible, the sound of people barging into the room was not lost on you.

“find y/n at once!” a voice ordered.

“someone inform master eren!”

“how did this happen?!”

“what should we do?!”

to put it simply, there was a ton of commotion and confusion from where you previously were. peeking through the thick bushes, you could see that a number of these so called ‘yeagerists’ were now filing out and scanning the surroundings, trying to look for you. there was no way you could escape without running into one of them. but even so, you had to take the risk. otherwise, you might never get to leave this place ever again.

quickly mapping out your best escape route, you decided to head into the woods and then make a turn. the problem was, you had no idea where you were all which way would lead you to the survey corps. and most importantly, you doubt that you would be able to outrun any of eren’s followers, given how you didn’t eat for the past few days. but even so, you had to try, for the sake of yourself.

training your eyes on the group of yeagerists that were still clustered together at the front gates, you slowly made your way out of the bushes and made a run for the woods. there was still a good chance that they won’t be able to find you there. with every step you took, the pounding of your heart became louder and louder. it didn’t matter if you suffered multiple cuts and bruises from the thorns. it didn’t matter how you were running barefooted into the woods. all that matters was getting as far away from eren as possible.

thinking that you’ve ran far enough to catch your breath, you stopped and panted heavily, sweat dripping from your forehead and onto the dirt. you were glad levi made you push pass your limit when it came to training. but still, you couldn’t afford to let your guard down. as long as you were away from the survey corps, you’ll forever be in eren’s clutches. wincing at the pain that stabbed the side of your stomach, you brushed it aside and started to run again. away from this place, away from the eren you couldn’t recognize anymore. all that matters right now, is to not get caught. the minute you’re even in his sight, eren would retrieve you again and never let you out of his sight ever again. no matter what, you had to keep on fighting and pushing.

giving yourself a push, your legs carried your though the woods, and you could barely make out a tiny village in the far distance before your legs gave way. as stubborn tears stung your eyes, you struggled to get up on your feet again.

there’s no way you’re going back to eren.
