I had been putting off unpacking my yarn stash but an impromptu project raised the need to dig into one of the boxes and the mister grab the chance to unbox them all.

"Yarn Wall"/ "Yarn Cabinet" or "Pigeon Hole" which the mister and contractors fondly addressed it; is something I had in mind before moving and definitely bleed a lot of brain juice on. So did the mister, who diligently drew blueprints and repeatedly assuring with the contractors that the holes are perfect squares and all of the same size.

I am pacing myself with the rest of the year 🤞🏻 to create all 16 of the "cartons" so these holes can be better used. Hopefully its complete look will match what I had in mind by then. 😅

I wouldn't be that worried about Burn Butcher Burn having that much of a real impact in the new seasons. Not to be disrespectful towards the writers of the show but like, the song had 0 consequences during the new season (when it clearly should've, I mean, Yen just smiles and while I get she is pissed at Geralt that's not a thing she should do if the song had a real impact given the racial tensions happening etc). And for the fear of 'the fandom is pushing the song'. Same with a "Toss a coin". That one has been pushed for the last few years, that push has reinforced the narrative of Jaskier being able to give Witchers a better reputation etc...but again, that doesn't show anywhere in the story.

So basically, what I'm saying is : imo it seems the writers thought BBB woukd be a banger, a replacement of Toss a coin but just in our world, not the story one (if that makes sense). And seen how the story is being handled so far, and again, not trying to be disrespectful, I don't think they actually see BBB having real consequences as a thing.

That’s a good point anon! And yeah I’m less worried about /fan/ engagement (by all means! Have fun! I don’t like the use of the Butcher moniker and what that says about this Jaskier, but that’s me, I will privately pretend he wrote a song about how Geralt is bad in bed or something equally silly, or even a heartbreak song that doesn’t use that specific name!)—than I am about the official show publicity folks pushing the ~drama~ of it all and perhaps having a long game. But you are right and sensible, it’s entirely probable that there isn’t one, I’m just yarnwalling and worrying needlessly.

Yarn is always a passion project for me! I may not get much else done today, but I played with #yarn and that made it a VERY #goodday. 🌷 I am a yarn collector, and I like to weave with yarn. LOL! I’m not sure which is the real hobby. Hehehe. I will freely admit that I love shopping for color almost as much as I love weaving with it. #yarnaddict 🌷 Most of this is wool because I absolutely love the magical qualities of wool when you throw it in the washer, then the dryer, and it shrinks up and felts into butter soft cloth. I really love that magical process, so most of this is wool. Every now and then I will find a luxury fiber on sale, so there is a bit of some really special stuff in here as well. 🌷 There is also some of the yarn I have dyed by hand in here, but that stuff doesn’t tend to keep its color over time, so rearranging it into place in terms of its current color rather than the color it used to be... really helped. I was looking at the wall and just seeing how it wasn’t working, so it felt really good to dive in and play with these colors today. 🌷 Self care is different for everyone and playing with color and yarn is #selfcare for me because color is a spiritual language in my case. 🌷 Plus, the Lord has really laid it on my heart to “weave and mend” in the words of an old song, and so as I was busy with this, I was listening to a prophetic class that brought me healing as I listened. What a gift that is, I am so grateful. What a blessing that yarn and color can become a place of prayer, all while my senses are very engaged in the beauty before me. What fun. Is yarn a busy-hands-open-heart thing for you as well?
