Sometimes I don’t understand why a fandom has decided to create a popular side ship out of whole cloth and like two onscreen interactions (sorry xicheng shippers).

But I absolutely respect the thought process behind seeing scorpion king, the poorest of meow meows, and his whole….deal with zhao jing and simply giving him a different less evil old man to work out his freudian issues on. I remember when me and my moots found out about the main actor in The Birth Of Drama King looking like exact fusion of Ye Baiyi and Xie'er so we called it the Yexie baby and then I wanted to make a Wenzhou and Xiyuan babies too as the new gen, similiar to how MDZS had the juniors quatro/trio ♥ (though these were designed some time ago and I'd probably change them up a bit)
