Boyfriend!Zhengting
Tumblr media
Who:Zhu Zhengting
Word Count: 3000 Words
Genre: Fluff / AU
Request: Yes. “ I love your boyfriend!Chengcheng post! If it's okay, may I request for bullet points boyfriend!Zhengting and boyfriend!Xukun please? Thank you!! “
I hope you enjoy this.
You first met Zhengting in a cafe.
He was a trainee at this nearby agency, that some trainees often came to before, during, and after practice.
You had been working there a year, yet you must have worked on days he didn’t come in.
Since damn, he was stunning, and took your breath away.
You served their table, seeing three of your usual customers, Zeren, Xinchun, and Wenjun at the table also.
“The regular?” You ask those three, then they all nod.
Once you have it written down, you turn to the newer comer as he gives you his order.
The moment you walk away, and are out of their earshot, Zhengting is questioning the other three.
Asking how they know you and just a slew of other questions, about the beautiful waitress.
You serve them as usual, but find yourself wishing that Zhengting would have stayed a bit longer, as they all leave.
The next day it’s back to the usual three being the only patrons, and you as usual take your break as they walk in.
“Who was that yesterday?” You ask them, as you sit next to Wenjun.
“Zhengting.” Xinchun simply replies.
That then sparks the long conversation about why he hadn’t came by before, because he usually practices during lunch.
How old he is, born in 1996.
And something Wenjun clarified very well, that he is single.
The next time you see him is about two weeks later.
The other three had came in as usual, during those weeks, but Zhengting never came in again.
It wasn’t until one day, Wenjun gives you a paper with a random address, telling you to go there at seven, and to dress nice.
You decide you might as well, thinking maybe Wenjun or Zeren planned something for you.
To say you were shocked to see Zhengting would be an understatement.
Zhengting was honestly just as confused as you were, but then both of your phones buzzed.
It was Wenjun, Zeren, and Xinchun.
The text just said Zhengting likes you, enjoy your date.
You assumed his text said something along the same lines, except with your name instead of Zhengting.
“Really?” Zhengting said, his voice getting sorta high pitched, since he didn’t believe it.
You then nodded your head, looking at him.
“Yeah.” You simply said.
“You like me?” You added, not really believing it since like how could someone like him, like you.
He nodded, and then you realized what was around you.
The others had planned such a cute little picnic for the two of you.
And you both decided to enjoy the date they had planned.
Then a few days later, Zhengting took you on a proper date, and that just started it all.
The Yuehua boys will constantly remind you how if it wasn’t for them, you two wouldn’t be dating, since both were too shy to make a move.
It would honestly be your third date, when Zhengting kisses you.
You were both stargazing, and he was captivated by your beauty, and he kissed you.
You of course, kissed him back.
And there you two were making out while laying on a blanket, under a starry night.
He would always take you a place where you can be alone.
Like stargazing, picnics, sailing, honestly, just anywhere the younger ones can’t find you.
You would go on about seven dates before he asks you to be his girlfriend/boyfriend.
When you say yes, you instantly become like 9 people’s mom/dad.
Like all the Chinese and Korean Yuehua trainees call you that, so just get used to it.
Quanzhe literally has you saved in his phone as mom/dad, you can’t escape it.
They added you into their group chat, and Justin literally put you as mom/dad and whenever you change it, one of the children changes it back.
Don’t tell Zhengting, but Quanzhe and Chengcheng like you more than him.
They’ll constantly ask you to get them food or take them out for food.
You won’t tell the others, and you know Quanzhe won’t either, yet you usually just take him since he’s the least annoying all of them.
Zhengting would take you on a ton of dates, just like even just watching a movie at home, it’s a date to him.
He’ll always treat you also, like you aren’t paying for anything if he’s with you.
He’ll take you out and the children will tag along, and he’ll just pay for you two and tell the rest to pay for their own, unless you ask him to, then he’ll pay for them all.
The younger ones try to get you to take them out for food and stuff, but then when Zhengting gives them that look, they stop.
Zhengting says he sleeps better with you in his arms.
He’ll always wrap his arms around you and hold you close.
Like constantly the big spoon when cuddling.
He just loves holding you in his arms.
He’ll tease you a lot.
He just enjoys watching you get all red and flustered at his comments and compliments.
But he’ll never say anything hurtful.
Yet he’ll completely encourage you roasting the Yuehua boys, especially when they do something they know not to.
He’s just too soft, like really, he needs you to help him keep those children in line.
He’ll always compliment you, not matter how much of a mess you look like.
Like if you want an honest opinion about that outfit, ask Justin or Chengcheng, not Zhengting.
If you are like “Does this make me look fat?” he’s like “No, you look fine.” then you go to Justin and he’s like “You look pregnant/hella fat in that.”
His smile can literally alleviate all your pain.
When he’s sad or mad, you’ll do pretty much anything to see that smile again.
He would do the same to you, if you are mad or sad.
Arguments with him are rare.
He believes you should never go to bed angry.
So he’ll always apologize or talk through it with you, before bed time.
He also believes you shouldn’t say anything you might regret.
So if the argument is getting bad, he’ll just walk out and leave you alone, so he can calm down.
He also believes he should tell you that he loves you at least three times a day, minimum.
Every morning, he wakes you up and tells you he loves you.
Every evening, when he gets home from practice, he tells you he loves you.
Every night, when you go to bed, he tells you he loves you.
He’ll also usually text you a few times during the day letting you know he loves you.
He definitely says I love you first in the relationship.
He just gets to this point he realizes he really does.
He feels like he can’t live without you, and he really really does love you, so he tells you.
From the moment he tells you, he’s constantly reminding you.
Some mornings, if he doesn’t have to wake up early, he’ll wake you up by pecking your face with kisses repeatedly until you wake up.
Then the only way to stop him, is by kissing him.
Which leads to making out, until you both realize you are hungry and should probably get some food.
He’ll attempt to impress you by doing backflips.
It works.
You two always do facemask together, it’s become a sorta ritual for you both.
You’ll always purposely have a whole evening with no schedules, just so you two can have your mask time.
Zhengting will always try to kiss your neck, forgetting about the mask he has on, and so he’ll lift it and start kissing you.
You’re always like “Zhengting your messing up your mask.” but then he’s just like “I’m young, I don’t care.”
He’ll often kiss your neck, that’s pretty much his favorite place to kiss you.
If he’s kissing you, his lips are often on your neck.
At least he’s respectful enough to not leave your neck covered in hickeys, despite how tempted he is to do it.
If he does leave hickeys, it’ll be in places only he gets to see.
The only time he won’t kiss your neck, is when it’s easier to just kiss your lips.
He’ll over come up behind you when you are cooking, and just wrap his arms around you and start kissing your neck as he asks you what you are cooking.
He’ll always be ready to help you cook, if you want his help that is.
Like tells him what to do, and he can do it.
But if you don’t say exactly what he needs to do, he’s no help at all.
You need to tell him like the directions exactly, no add until it feels right, he needs measurements and times, or he’s lost.
He can cook, and he will for cook for you, but he always uses a recipe, until he gets to the point he knows the recipe by heart.
He’ll do cute things like cooking you foods from your native country or cooking you ethnic foods.
He might mess it up a few times, but he’ll keep trying until it taste just like it does back home.
He’ll also call your mom or dad and ask for some recipes he could make for you.
He’ll do cute things like make you breakfast in bed, or on your day off letting you rest and he’ll fix all the food.
If neither of you two feel like cooking, he’ll always be willing to buy you two some take out.
He’ll always pay.
You’ll never pay for anything when he’s around.
If you want to pay you’ll have to do something slick like swap his card for yours.
Or distract him so you can pay.
It’s not that hard to distract him.
Yet, he’ll give you the silent treatment for a good five minutes before giving in and having to tell you he loves you
He’ll take you shopping, but he’s the least helpful person to have around.
He thinks everything looks good on you, so clothing shopping around him isn’t very ideal, unless you are wanting him to pick the item he likes without you trying it on.
He’ll come up behind you when you are waiting in line and just wrap his arms around you and rest his chin on your head.
You two are definitely that couple.
The couple everyone finds annoying, but at the same time wants a relationship like that.
He probably knows your coffee order by heart, and so he can order it perfectly for you.
He probably also knows what foods you don’t like and what foods you love, so he can order food for you and it’s something you’ll like.
He’ll buy you little things like jewelry, specifically necklaces since that way there isn’t a chance it might not fit.
He’ll bring sweaters and shirts of his over to your house, and leave them for you.
If you point them out, he’ll get flustered in telling you that he brought them incase he needs one or something.
Then you are like, you brought them for me didn’t you.
And he’ll just be like, yeah.
So you put one of his sweaters on and he loves it.
Like you wearing his clothing, he loves it.
When you two move in together, he’ll definitely make sure you know his closet is also your closet.
He wouldn’t admit it, but he loves it when he goes home from practice or work and sees you wearing his shirt or sweater.
He will help you in any way you need.
Like you need someone to curl the back of your hair, he can do that.
You need someone to zip up your dress, he can definitely do that.
You need someone to help you clean the house, he can do that.
He can help you with your hair, yet, only simple things.
Like yeah he can help you curl your hair, but only if you show him what to do and all.
He can probably do a simple braid and probably put your hair into a ponytail, but that’s about it, other than being able to brush or comb it out.
He would honestly find it soothing to brush your hair, so he’d do it often.
He would also find it soothing if you ran your hands through his hair.
He can help you do your makeup however.
He does the Yuehua boys makeup, so he can and will definitely do yours.
He’ll honestly also love to watch you as you do your makeup and hair.
He’ll just be so captivated, and amazed as you do it.
He would probably hold you in his lap as you do your makeup.
He would just rest his chin on your shoulder, as you did your makeup, he would tells you that it looks good or he’d prefer another color.
He’ll always ask you if you’ve eaten, and if you haven’t, he’ll get you food.
He would give you the best hugs.
Like he’d just completely wrap himself around you and hold you tight.
He would always ask you about your day, and be completely serious about it.
Like he’s not faking interest, he’s truly interest.
The kind of boyfriend to stay up with you until 3 am, just because you were telling him a long story, or you started talking about something that interest you.
Like even if he knows nothing about it, he’ll listen intently and then read up about it, so he can have some input in it.
The first few times you kiss after you start dating, the kisses are short and sweet.
Mostly, they would just be on your cheeks, nose, and forehead, since he wouldn’t be extremely comfortable with just kissing you on your lips.
Yet, once he gets comfortable kissing your lips, he’ll constantly be kissing you there instead.
His kisses are either short sweet pecks, or they quickly escalate.
He’ll always wrap his arms around you waist and pull you into his lap, when the kisses escalate.
When you two are at the dorms, you’ll just to keep it lowkey, but then you’ll just start making out, ignoring pretty much everyone and everything else, then like Justin will walk in or something and start yelling you ruined his innocent eyes or something.
Yet, when you are at your apartment, Zhengting will literally just pull you down on top of him when you are making out, since he honestly just enjoys the contact.
He’ll also start kissing you when you are in the kitchen trying to cook, you’ll end up against the fridge door, your legs wrapped around his waist, as you two make out.
Yet, more often than not, he’d just pick you up and put you on the counter, and you’d make out there.
He’d be very clingy.
Yet, honestly, you don’t mind since you enjoy the warmth and love you can feel from him.
His hugs are literally the warmest hugs you’ve ever felt.
Like they warm you up when it’s cold, yet at the same time it doesn’t make you overheat when you’re hot.
He would just constantly want to hold you or have you in his lap.
He would total be that boyfriend that has you rest against his chest as he wraps his arms behind you, and will lean his head against your shoulder.
He would especially do this when you read, he would then read what you are reading, read it to you, or ask you to read it to him.
He would also do this if you seem tired, and you two would nap together like this.
He will always try to help you keep your life balanced.
Like if you are working or studying a lot, he’ll make sure you take a break.
Honestly, he would really really feel selfcare is important, so if you aren’t going to care for yourself, he’s gonna care for you.
Like if you are working on an essay or report and you’ve been typing for hours, he’ll just be like “Hey babe, you might want to save that, just incase your laptop goes dead or something.”
And you are like, wow a good suggestion, so you do.
Then once he sees you did it, he’ll close your laptop and pick you up and carry you over to the bed or sofa, whichever is closer, before tossing you down and climbing on top of you, telling you that you need to take a break, as he tickles, if you are a ticklish.
He’d take you to the beach, and probably pick you up and swing you around, before throwing you into the ocean.
If you can’t swim, he’ll teach you how.
Like he’ll spend a whole month, beforehand, teaching you how to swim, then finally take you to the beach when he’s sure you are good enough at swimming.
He’ll also constantly keep his eye on you, ready to pull you out of the ocean if needed.
You’ll probably just run around splashing each other and someone throws seaweed at the other, it was probably Zhengting.
You two will just run around at the beach the whole evening, and as the sun starts to set, you’ll sit down, sharing a blanket, watching the sun set.
It would probably be this moment when he realized he can’t live without you.
Just watching you watch the kaleidoscope of colors, as the sun sets, the light just faintly outlining your face, as you unknownling bask in the beauty of the sunset.
He will fall even deeper in love with you, and as he gazes at you with a look of such love, you realized you truly do have the most perfect boyfriend.

“I wasn’t sure you remembered me.”
“If I wanted a stupid solution to a real problem, I would ask you.”
“I don’t want to be alone tonight.”
“This is, by far, the dumbest thing you’ve ever done.”
“You’d by great mom/dad”
“You’re really hot, it’s a shame you have that personality”
“I’m surprised you haven’t killed him yet.” “I keep trying but nobody let’s me get very far.”
“It’s not fair. You keep this up and I just might-”
“Why do you have to look at me like that? It’s making me weak, please stop.”
“Oh god, how can you manage to switch from cute to sexy in under a second?”
“I love you more than coffee.” *distant gasps*
“I desperately want to take you out for dinner and slow dance with you until the sun comes up, but I also want to grip your hair as I watch you writhing underneath me.”
“You keep saying that we’re friends but you look at me for a moment too long for that to be true.”
“Are you awake? Oh my god I was so worried, holy shit I thought I was going to lose you.”
“We’ve been driving for hours, are we nearly there yet?” “I would honestly like to tell you something other than ‘no’ but life is cruel”
“Did you just...agree with me?” “Oh..oh no...wait I take-” “Nope! You said it! No take backs!”
“Stop being seductive,” “I was being myself but okay”
“You should think things through before you say them aloud” “Where’s the fun in that?”
“Why didn’t you answer your phone? It was an emergency, I needed to tell you I loved you.”
“You keep that photo of us in your wallet?”
“Don’t pretend that you don’t feel the same way.”
“Don’t act innocent, you had me pinned underneath you 5 minutes ago.”
“Don’t act like this doesn’t hurt you.” “It’s tearing me apart, but I’d rather fake it until the end.”
“You could’ve just told me.” “And risked my social status? I think I’d rather die, thank you.”
“Can you just act normal for this evening. It’s all I’ll ask of you.” “You’re asking for a lot then.”
“You need to stop yelling at inanimate objects.” “And you need to stop telling me how to live my life, but things never go as we want.”
“I haven’t got laid in like forever.” “Oh sorry, did I look like I was offering? Because I’m most certainly not.”
“You set the kitchen on fire?!” “Just a little, but it means we can start the remodeling sooner, right?”
“Give me a kiss before you go.” “I know this is all for show, but do we really have to be so bloody domestic.”
“Can you give me a massage?” “No, because you moan really loud and our neighbours think we’re having sex.”
I can’t wait to see what you all come up with! Happy writing!

Pairing: Zhu Zhengting x Fem!Reader
Genre: Smut; Roommate!ZZT
Word Count: 837
Warning(s): Explicit Content; Swearing
A/N: I’m putting this all under the cut so like if you’re: (a) under 18 and/or (b) are in any way uncomfortable with sexual stuff, then please don’t click on the ‘keep reading.’
When Zhengting returns from his classes earlier than he usually does because the second-half lectures got cancelled, he doesn’t expect the first sound he hears when he enters to be the sound of your half-moaning, half-screaming his name. When he walks towards your room and finds your door ajar, he doesn’t expect to find you in bed, wearing nothing but a shirt which has been pushed up to make it easy for you to finger yourself under your underwear. Logically speaking, it was a valid enough reason for him to be transfixed at your door, his cheeks burning and his breath faster than usual.
It doesn’t help either that you’re so into it– so unaware of your surroundings, your face flushed, your hair all over the place as moan again, pressing your clitoris which makes your hips buck forward. One of your hands massages your breast, haphazardly, pressing your nipple which makes you gasp. It’s all too much for Zhengting to witness– which would explain the boner he has. He should not be witnessing this– he shouldn’t even be aware of this but he can’t bring himself to look away; he can’t help but wonder if  you’d still be as loud if those were his fingers. Fuck, if it was his tongue instead.
“I could make you go louder.” You sit up at the words, hands pulling away at the speed of light and your cheeks turning crimson at the realization. “Zhengting,” you breathe out, making him raise an eyebrow. “You weren’t supposed to be back so soon.”
He chuckles lowly and you can’t help but find it hot– whether it was in the heat of the moment or because it wasn’t usually that he sounded so patronizing, you decide was a riddle for another time. “Did you have fun imagining the things you’d want me to do to you?”
“I- that’s not what I was thinking about,” you try, looking away. “I wasn’t thinking about you.”
“Definitely not, you were moaning my name for something else entirely,” he retorts, walking closer to the bed. “Don’t lie to yourself– or to me, for that matter sweetheart.”
Your breath hitches at how close he is, his hand so achingly close to your core. He notices how your gaze shifts from his face to his hands and then to the space between your legs and he smirks, his own eyes darkening with lust. “Maybe if you admit the truth, I’ll give you what you really want,” he whispers, leaning so close to your ear that his lips brush against them– the sensation makes you ache with desire.
“Zhengting please,” you whine, incapable of giving up the offer. “I’ll do anything– just please.”
“Please what?” his voice is teasing to the point it is taunting.
“Fuck me, please,” you whimper, almost moaning when his hand rests on your thigh. “Fuck me like I was imagining it,” you plead, watching his hand inch closer.
It seems to satisfy him enough because he wastes no time in palming your core over your underwear once the words have slipped out of your mouth– massaging the area, kneading it so gently that it almost makes you cry with overstimulation. “Have you cum yet?” he asks, lowly and you shake your head in response.
“I was–” you stop mid-sentence as Zhengting presses his palm against your gland. “Zh-zhengting fuck,” you rasp, your voice shaking as you realize that he’s slipped his hand under your pant. Your legs clench together, hips bucking forward at the feeling, forcing him to use his other hand to pry them apart.
“Oh no, baby,” he shakes his head. “You don’t get to do that now.” His fingers rub against your core and you can feel your knees weaken at the sensation. “You’re soaked,” he comments, pressing his fingers gently against your clit, making you moan and lean forward, resting your head on his shoulder.
“You’re so swollen,” he continues, tugging slightly at your lips before he rubs his fingers against them, “I can feel my fingers soaked.” It makes you shudder, letting out a sigh against his shoulder.
“Why don’t you cum now, baby?” he whispers, this time nipping gently at the top of your ear as he presses your core between two fingers. This time when your hips jut forward– your core pressing against the back of his fingers, his name falling out in a cry from your lips– he lets you do as you please. Even when you fall back on your pillow after the release.
“Fuck,” is all you can say, as he pulls away slightly, letting you spread your legs. “Fuck.”
“Maybe next time, sweetheart,” he responds, stuffing his handkerchief back into his pocket, his voice amused. “That was enough fun for now– even if you didn’t last nearly long enough– maybe you should get some sleep.” With that, he walks out of your room, closing the door behind him.
You consider worrying about how your relationship with your roommate may be potentially ruined to awkwardness after this event but can’t bother with the tiredness of being overstimulated– thanks to both your wanton ways and the fingers of the aforementioned roommate– finally taking over you, making you give into a deep nap.

This is for the anon who requested a high school scenario with Zhengting. Sorry for not updating so often but do know that requests are open for Nine Percent and all the other IP trainees!
Tumblr media
Everything was starting to blur together. Fonts, colors, words and faces. They were all swirling together into the biggest mess of the century and you regretted the day when you accepted the role of editor of the student yearbook. It was because you were artsy and voted Most Organized of your year, but little did your teachers know, you had barely any interest in the position.
The yearbook was going to be a monster of a masterpiece. It was leather bound (the result of your endless begging and ten page proposals asking for budget from the treasurer), and you managed to make connections through your uncle to find a printing company willing to give you golden engraved letters. It was set to be one hundred pages, half of it filled with official photos of your peers, and the other filled with blank pages for messages and also picture memories that were submitted.
However, all of that meant you had to spend countless hours shifting through the photographs, trying to identify everyone and also making sure that no person appeared on the same page more than three times. That was the principle’s rule.
There was one person who seemed to be making that job difficult. He was everywhere. You sighed and flipped through the yearbook, trying to find him in your class of eight hundred. Where could he be? All the names were in alphabetical order and when you neared the end, you saw that there were two people with the same photo. You let out an internal groan.
“Zhou Yanchen, Zhu Zhengting.” You have vaguely heard of both people before but heaven help you if you knew one from the other. All your problems would be solved if you could ask someone but the teachers had asked you keep the pictures used in the yearbook secret. Instead, you would have to ask around and hope that your friends had photos of either one of them.
For a school this big, even the popular kids seemed to have flown underneath the radar. One look at the boy’s megawatt smile and you knew he must be somebody well known in the school. It was a shame the two hundred or so people on your Facebook friends list didn’t know him.
It was frustrating. Your school separated everyone by prospective majors and so it only made sense that the people you knew only knew the people in your major. It was an endless cycle and so you decided over the weekend that you would spend a good part of your break time stalking the buildings of the other subjects.
You were huffing by the time you reached the other end of the campus. Each school was separated by what seemed to be a million acres of greenery. The principals really did not want the students from the majors comingling. The dance school was more modern than the other buildings and you admired the wall to ceiling tinted glass.
“Need help?” You whirled around to see a guy looking at you. He was smiling and you immediately recognized his face.
“Finally,” you breathed before you realized that it was an odd response to his question.
The boy’s face raked over your school uniform and he raised an eyebrow. “You’re from here. Another major?” The slight change in his tone made you realize that your response earlier probably seemed a little demanding and self-entitled.
“Sorry. I’m the editor for the yearbook and I was actually looking for you.”
His face contorted in surprise. “For me?”
           “Yes. What’s your name?”
At this question, the corner of his lips quirked. “You said you’re looking for me, and yet you don’t even know my name. Are you sure you found the right person?”
The long walk and the frustration through the weeks was starting to bubble up. You took a deep breath and chanted to yourself to be polite. “Are you Zhou Yanchen or Zhu Zhengting? The two of you have the same photo and now I need to correct the mistake and find out whose photo it is that I have a duplicate of.”
The boy grinned. “What if I told you I was neither?”
He was playing with you; you knew it. “Well I spent thirty hours matching all the names and yours are the only ones that are wrong. So please tell me which one you are.”
He swung his backpack playfully over his right shoulder before leaning in. “And what do I get out of it?”
You suppressed the urge to roll your eyes. “Well for starters, you actually get to have your proper name in the yearbook, and the other guy gets to have his actual photo in there because right now, there are two of you.”
The boy chuckled. “Then let it be. Yanchen can live without his face in the official photobook. He wasn’t feeling well the day the photos were being taken. Besides, he’s more than represented in the other pats, I’m sure.”
But you had long stopped listening to him ramble. The moment you heard him say Yanchen’s name, you had made the deduction that the one in front of you was Zhu Zhengting. It was now a matter of tracking down the other and getting the official photo.
“Hey, where are you going?” he called as you started down the hill to head back to your dorms.
“Thanks, Zhengting! That’s all I needed!” If you had turned back, you would have seen the dancer staring at you wistfully as you disappeared through the field.
It was the last day before publication and you were exempt from your classes Your task was to spend the entire day in the cramped office, going through every minute detail to ensure that there was nothing wrong once the expensive production was complete. It was hour seven and only two in the afternoon. Again, you reaffirmed that this would be the last time you let teachers volunteer you for something.
Your eyes were blurring. All the stiff, smiling faces were beginning to merge together and you started to wonder why all high school students all looked alike. There was a knock on your door and your head shot up.
Before you could even tell the person to come in, the intruder already did. It was Zhengting and he was holding a brown bag that smelled amazing. “Hey,” he smiled. “It’s me, Zhengting.”
You couldn’t help the sarcastic comment. “Oh so now you’re willing to tell me your name.”
He managed to look absolutely contrite. “I’m sorry. But I brought a gift. I heard from someone else in the art department that you were holed up here so I figured you needed a break. Do you mind having lunch with me?” Even though his mouth was asking the question, his hands were already unwrapping the boxes to reveal bento boxes filled with food.
“Well, I suppose. If you so insist.”
The introvert in you was panicking. What would you even say to him? What is there to say to him? Why was he doing all this? As off-putting as he had been during your first encounter, Zhengting was nothing but a gentleman now. He placed the food in front of you and waited for you to start eating before beginning his own meal. You saw his eyes dart curiously around at the space and you grinned.
“Are you looking for my staff because I’m really a one woman show.”
He let out a low whistle. “Wow, so you’re the one who is going to single-handedly put together our book of memories? That’s amazing. You’re so impressive.”
The compliments made you blush and you coughed. “Well, I had help from the student associations.”
Zhengting hovered over the sample you had been pouring over for the last few months. “May I?”
“You really shouldn’t but I guess you could if you promise not to breathe a word of the contents to anyone.”
“Oooh, a secret. I love secrets.”
His fingers etched across the embroidery and when he flipped to the page with his photo, he suddenly gave you a grave look. “Uh, I think you wrote my name wrong. That’s not me.”
The rise of panic immediately made you choke on your food and you nearly grabbed the book away from him. “What do you mean?”
It was clear that whatever joke he had been meaning to play evaporated the moment he saw you nearly die of asphyxiation. “Are you okay?” His hands patted your back and you finally caught a gasp of air.
“Yes. Now tell me what’s wrong.”
“I guess I’ll have to take you out to dinner as an apology because I swear, I just wanted to make a joke.”
When your eyes narrowed at him, Zhengting quickly handed the yearbook back to you and swallowed. “Please, I promise to help you for the next however many hours, with no pranks, no jokes, all seriousness.”
Despite how annoying he has been, you were still a big softie and his earnestness had earned him points. Without dropping the glare, but now softened by amusement, you threatened, “I swear if you put another toe out of line, I’ll mark your photo out and replace it with Yanchen’s.”

More Than Friends - Zhu Zhengting
(A/N: This has been sitting in my drafts for as long as I can remember lol so I finally decided to finish it ^^ Someone told me they liked the friends to lovers trope and I guess that’s why I came up with it originally? It’s been a while lmao,,, anyway, enjoy~~! <33)
Masterlist
Tumblr media
You and Zhengting had been friends forever
And by that I mean that you two had literally known each other since before you were even born
Your parents had long since been family friends, and when it turned out that Zhengting was only a year older than you, it was natural that you two would grow up together
From watching tv to going to family barbecues together, the pair of you were attached at the hip for the entirety of your childhoods
You two even walked with each other to school every morning, and had several mutuals friends from your various classes
This all changed when Zhengting went off to college though, leaving you behind in the small town that you both called home
Ofc you missed him dearly!!
But you made up for the fact with many, many phone calls
So much so that your parents started to joke that you two were practically dating
You laughed along with them, not realising just how much that statement would come back and haunt you later
Eventually, you manage to wrap up your high school career for once and for all
And while you were slightly sad that it was the last time that you would share classes with some of your close friends
(Since you were all going to different unis)
You also couldn’t give a flying fuck because SUMMER!! Meant that Zhengting would be coming home and you would finally be reunited with your all-time bestie
Plus you would be able to start a new school year at college with Ting come fall!
In what was the first time you were excited for anything remotely related to school
When his car pulls into the driveway, you all but sprint out of the house to meet him
Nearly tripping flat on your face welp
As he steps out of the vehicle though, you can only stop and stare
wOW ok….
He got hot
Not that you hadn’t always found your bff more than slightly attractive
But college man,, something had to have been in the water there because he was looking REALLY good
Completely oblivious to your wandering thoughts, Zhengting came up and engulfed you in a giant bear hug
He had missed his best friend too, after all
You were quick to regain your wits and hug him back, determined not to let your sudden feelings interfere with what was sure to be an awesome summer break
They were probably just an effect of not having seen him for so long, and you suspected that they would go away pretty soon
Except,,, they didn’t
If anything, as the summer wore on, your less-than-strictly-platonic feelings for your bestie grew
Which confused you?? A lot?
You tried not to let them get in the way of your plans
But your gaze couldn’t help but linger on his toned abs whenever you two went to the beach to play a game of volleyball or fool around in the ocean
And you found yourself becoming increasingly distracted by the movements of his plump lips as he talked
Logically, you knew - because of how close the pair of you were - that it wouldn’t be long before your gig was up
However, at the same time, you were determined not to bring up the elephant in the room, and you hoped he wouldn’t either
It wasn’t as if he would ever accept, or even return, your feelings anyway
He would probably think that you were really weird
Or something to that degree
Not wanting to lose your closest friend, you were fine with bottling up your emotions
....But you should have known that was a terrible idea from the start
Zhengting was smart, very smart; and you knew that
It shouldn’t have come as such a surprise when he eventually figured out something was wrong and confronted you
It was about midway through the summer?
One day, the two of you were just hanging out in your room
Nothing was out of the ordinary
Until, in a random lull in the conversation, he turned serious all of a sudden
“So, y/n, what’s up?”
*cue mini internal freak out*
You knew exactly what he was referring to, but tried to feign ignorance anyway
“What do you mean, Ting? We’ve spent the past month together, you should know what’s up”
He dramatically rolled his eyes, a small smile tugging at the corners of his lips
Before he got up and cupped your face in his hands
“I think I might just know, princess,” he whispered in your ear teasingly
The words sent a shiver down your spine
This was it, your friendship was over
Years and years of companionship, of comfort, all crashing down in one moment because of your sheer inability to keep your damn crush a secret
“I’m sorry, Ting, I didn’t mean to ruin it.”
You mentally cursed when your voice faltered halfway through the sentence, trying to wrench away from his grasp
A frown creased his beautiful features, and you knew this was the moment everything would go to hell
“What on earth are you talking about, y/n? You haven’t ruined anything.”
??? Could he even hear himself? What was he saying??
He pulled back tentatively, surprised by the tears he could see welling up in your eyes
After a moment’s silence, he prompted again;
“Tell me what’s wrong, angel. I can’t fix it if I don’t know what’s going on.”
“I think I might like you, Zhengting. As,,, more than just a friend.”
“I think I just might like you back.”
What?
Before you could even process what was happening, you had a pair of lips on yours
holy shit this is happening right now
“Yes it is, y/n. And if it’s ok with you I’d like it to happen a lot more in the future,” he muttered against your lips
Oops, you must have said that out loud
“I’d like that,” you sighed, pressing your foreheads together as you both laid - somehow having sprawled out on your bed, slightly out of breath
“Does this mean we’re dating?”
“It means we’re more than friends, that’s for sure. Let’s just go back to kissing and figure the rest of it out later.”
“Sounds great - lead the way, princess.”

Forever (part iii) | Ding Zeren
the one in which you and Zeren have an overdue conversation in the laundry room.
Tumblr media
image cr: dingzeren.
Title: Forever Pairing: Ding Zeren x reader Characters: OC (reader), Ding Zeren, Fan Chengcheng, Zhou Jieqiong, Li Quanzhe, Zhu Zhengting, Bi Wenjun, Justin, OC (Guan Guan) Concept: college au, yuehua OT7, rating G, unrequited, slight angst, happy ending
continued from part i, part ii. As befits your life, your sad, self-indulgent pity party is rudely cut short by the ding of your phone alarm, reminding you that your laundry is done and needs to be collected. And you can’t just ignore it, because doing laundry is actually such a dangerous battle in this college. (The laundry room’s a mess and people are angry and impatient and will dump your clothes out if you don’t turn up in time.) You wipe your tears away roughly.
Real life interrupts as usual. You’re always required, needed, but not wanted. Even by your laundry.
Whoa, okay. You catch yourself at that thought, and laugh a little at how ridiculous it is. But then it all circles back to how ridiculous you are, crying in your room when it’s your friend who needs support.
The silence outside tells you that Chengcheng and Justin have probably failed at cheering Zeren up, and most likely he’s fled to his room for some peace and quiet.
You open your door, intending to rush down the corridor and past the living room before someone sees the teartracks on your face. You catch a glimpse of yellow—the person of interest himself—and immediately slam your door closed again.
“Y/N,” Zeren calls softly. Inside, you fumble around with a mirror and tissues and your face.
“Hey, I, uh, need to get my laundry!” You open the door again, neatly sidestep where Zeren is standing (whatthefuckishedoingthere), and begin taking long strides down the corridor.
“If you want to talk, just give me 10 minutes, okay? I’ll be back!” Your voice is falsely bright, and you look and sound normal, as if abandoning your friend post-break-up to get laundry is normal. But you’re halfway out the front door already, escape is so close, and then Zeren says, “I’ll come with you!”
“-oh you really don’t need to—“
“Uh, no, I want to—“
“Uh, okay!” you say, but your steps don’t slow down as you dash down the stairs (two at a time) until you realise that Zeren is running a little to catch up. When you look back, he has a strange expression on his face, like the one he gets when a dance step is still eluding him or an economics problem is particularly hard. You’ve always appreciated that Zeren is perceptive, and attentive, and very quick to put two and two together, but—
“I guess we can talk on the way!” you say, slowing down. You put on your gentlest voice, perfect for soothing ruffled feathers. It’s not hard, because this is Zeren, and it’s the day before Valentine’s Day, and in a million years you can’t fathom how anyone could be heartless enough to do what she did. “So, how are you feeling? You still haven’t told me what happened exactly.”
His face closes off a little, and your heart twinges. He’s always been so easy to read, for you, and you know that’s because you spend all your waking moments together attuned to his every movement, inevitably looking towards him first whenever you enter a room, like a flower that always turns towards the warmth of the sun.
“Okay, we don’t have to talk about that, we can talk about something else,” you say quietly.“No, I, wanted to ask you,” Zeren begins. You reach the laundry room. He opens the door for you. You scan the room for your stuff as if your heart’s not about to drum out of your chest at any moment.
“I wanted to ask you…about what you said.”
“Hmm?” Your clothes, your clothes, where are they? Ah, there they are. Clothes!
“You said… ‘unrequited feelings won’t kill you’.”
“Oh, did I?” Why do you have so many clothes? The wet pile from the machine seems to be never-ending, you pull at one T-shirt and it’s followed by another, and another, and another.
“And I guess…” Zeren is still finding his words as you haul the basket from the washers to the dryers. You pray that you haven’t dropped any underwear in the transfer. “Y/N, I’ve always thought of you as a very loving person…”
“Uh-huh.”
“…because you always look after us so much, you know? You’re always there. You always know the perfect things to say. You’re like a constant in our lives, like, more than a best friend, like a sister, almost—“
If he could have reached into your chest, taken out your heart, and thrown it into the washing machine to be thrown around and wrung dry, it couldn’t have hurt more than what you felt at that moment.
“I guess, what I’m trying to say is, I’m sorry.”
“Oh, there’s nothing you need to be sorry for--“
“No, I think there is,” he circles around, so it’s harder for you to avoid his gaze. He’s stuck his hands in his pockets, his cap is on low over his eyes, but he’s peering at you intensely, eyes brighter than the fluorescent light of the laundry room. “I’m quickly realising that there’s been something I’ve been missing, something I never noticed all along.”
Well. You face him, you try to smile, to convey that it’s no big deal, really. He doesn’t have to apologise for the fact that you were stupid enough to go and catch feelings. “Zeren, really. It’s fine.”
“No, but then I come back tonight, right, and I’m upset, and then you’re upset, and then Zhengting looks at me like I’ve done something wrong--”
“No!” You’re going to murder Zhengting. “No, you haven’t, really please don’t, just don’t.”
You’re not sure what it is you’re asking him to stop doing, all you know is that this hurts.
“Hey!” Zeren looks alarmed. “Y/N, I’m sorry, please don’t cry, I’m sorry, okay, I didn’t mean it like that.”
And, as you knew he would, because he’s always done it since you were kids and you would cry whenever you found a small animal by the side of the road that had been run over, he wraps his arms around you and puts his chin on your head, making soothing noises and rubbing your back.
All this does is make you cry harder. Because this is what he’s always done since you were young, and this is what he’s always done for his best friend, for someone who’s like a sister.
“I never meant to make you cry,” he says, his voice softer now that he’s almost speaking into your ear. “I always… you have so much love for everyone, for everything, you know? And then we came to college, and no one was good enough for you, because, well, you’re you, and then I thought—Well then. That’s it. That’s it for me.”
“What do you mean,” you say into his shirt, but maybe it’s too muffled because he ignores you.
“And then I met Guan Guan, and then you told me, and I quote, ‘Oh, she’s lovely! You should go for it!’, and that, Y/N, that broke my heart for months—“ he breaks off into a chuckle.
Wait what.
“And then Guan Guan never thought you were lovely, so I didn’t hang out with you that much, and then later Zhengting, I thought, you and Zhengting, that seemed like it would make a lot more sense than the alternative—“
“What alternative.” You try to disentangle yourself from Zeren to get a better look at his face, but he won’t let go of your shoulders. You stare at each other, nose to nose.
“Wait a second, Ding Zeren.” For some reason, you’re infuriated. “You stop right there. You are two-hours-freshly-dumped by Guan Guan, love of your life, you don’t get to give me this crap right now.”
He smiles. How dare he have the gall to smile when he’s telling you that actually, all along, all this time--
“Oh, I know,” he says. “I have issues, I know. I’m going to have to sort that out, before we…”
He smiles wider at the expression on your face, his eyes brighter than you’d ever seen before.
“Just let me be happy for a bit, okay?” He whispers. “I had no idea. I’m a bit of a mess, I know. But you’ll fix it.”
This hug has turned into him burying his face in your hair. You breathe in rather shallowly. He still smells faintly like Valentine’s Day, crushed roses and half-melted chocolate.

When are we eating haidilao(hotpot)?
Tumblr media
Summary:
Usually mystical powers happens in movies, books, internet and extera. This time, it doesn’t just happen in fantasy. It happens in real life.
On the outskirts of China, near the mountainside, a lab was conducting an experiment on what you would call them 'demons', they call them 'psyclones'. They're grey smokey blobs that can change into anything they want. When I mean they, I mean the psyclones. They have high intelligence that not even the scientists know about. A few of them, tested out the scientists to see if they can catch on on how much smarter they are compared to the scientists. One of the scientists finally caught on and conducted an experiment that created a phenomenon in China......

How Should It Be - Xiao Gui/Wang Linkai One Shot
[a/n: ah yes back at it again with another cringey one shot. i meant to post this on 5/20 but i couldn’t get my brain juices to work and finish it until tonight. i hope you guys like it. big reminder that i love wang linkai ❤️. sorry if the fic is a mess btw lol.] / master list
He sags down in his seat, visibly defeated by whatever was on his mind. A pout is prominent on his lips as his best friend cracks a smile, clapping him on the back before wrapping his arm around him, their bodies crashing together.
“Why the long face, Gui? Don’t you know that frowning gives you wrinkles?” he asks. If Linkai wasn’t so down in the dumps, he would’ve smacked the exaggerated frown right off of Chengcheng’s face right then.
Fan Chengcheng has never been the kind to just let Linkai live in his misery. Oh, no. Fan Chengcheng has to twist the knife after he stabs you. Sure, the guy’s quiet when you first meet him. But once you get to know him the way Linkai knows him, it’s a done deal. Your soul is his and there’s no getting rid of him.
“You saw my butthole once, Kai. We’re practically blood brothers now.”
Don’t ask. Linkai is begging.
“Nothing,” he shifts back into the ratty couch. He thinks for a second about how Xingjie is always babbling on and on about how he should replace it (as if Linkai has the money to replace this old hand-me-down couch. He’s a soundcloud rapper. How much does Xingjie even thinks he makes off of his beats?). Something about how just because it’s old, doesn’t mean it’s vintage. Linkai thinks that maybe the spring that pops out of the second cushion of the faded blue sofa may have caught Xingjie by surprise one too many times. That’s why Linkai always sits on the arm rest or lays like a starfish on the floor during movie nights. You’ll never catch him squished in the middle of Yanchen and Xingjie on their Thursday night Grey’s Anatomy marathons (per Yanchen’s request because how could one look at the actual sun and say no?).
He’s picking at the frayed edge of the sofa when Chengcheng says, “It doesn’t look like nothing.” He suddenly snaps, reaching into his pocket before pulling out a pair of his (nonprescription) glasses. He pushes them up on his nose then opens his phone to his notes. Linkai sees him type “WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH GUI TODAY” and watches him not only put it in bold print but italics as well. “I think we should start a diary of some sort. My sister has one of those and she says it’s all a part of a healthy life style. Wait, should we buy a Password Journal for you? Okay, wait Chengcheng. Too far off track. Let’s focus on the now.” He recomposes himself before saying, “First of all, do you know your rising sign? It could help explain a lot of things.”
Linkai thinks that there’s a reason for everything. He thinks that you never meet a person by mistake. But sometimes...he has to question his life mottos as Chengcheng waves his hand and tells him he’ll make his birth chart from scratch, all he needs is the time he was born (because Chengcheng’s already memorized that he was born on May 20, 1999 in the Fujian Province).
“Chengcheng, I promise on my mother that I won’t judge you. Just tell me if you were dropped on your head as a baby or not.“ He’s desperate at this point. There’s no way somebody just wakes up and makes the conscious decision to be Fan Chengcheng. Not any sane person, that is.
“Astrology is a very serious science, Gui and I will not stand for your bashing!” Chengcheng whines.
Likai gives him side eyes. “Didn’t you only get into astrology because Justin said you were a Gemini and he liked that?”
“No!” But the blush rising on his cheeks says otherwise. “Look. This isn’t about me! This is about you! What’s your deal?”
The older one shakes his head, throwing himself back against the couch and hoping that the weird stain to his left would manifest into a blackhole and swallow him hole. He crosses his arms and taps his shoe against the ground, eyes glued to the ceiling popcorn and wondering who the hell even thought that shit was cute. He starts to wonder how much he could pay Chengcheng to eat it when the doorbell rings.
“I’ll get it,” Chengcheng says. “I’m expecting a package!” As he gets up, he throws a cushion at his roommate before hopping away.
Linkai shuts his eyes, too exhausted to even fight back. Maybe it is his package. Maybe it’s Justin. Maybe they have another “date” in Chengcheng’s room (it’s not a real date if Justin doesn’t know it’s a date).
He’s about to drift to sleep when another cushion hits his chin, causing him to bite his tongue.
He’s on his feet and ready to throw hands when his eyes land on (a very pissed looking) you.
Honestly. He’s not surprised. You have this sour face all day and all night and it’s to the point where he’s starting to consider having Chengcheng put together your birth chart so that he can understand just that much more about you.
He crosses his arms. “And what is the problem today, princess?” he raises his eyebrows. He leans down, teasingly close, and wrinkles his nose. “I was just thinking about you.”
“Don’t look so stressed,” you scoff. He pokes your forehead, causing you to stumble back a couple of steps. “Hey!” you whine, rubbing the spot. He can just hear you screaming in your head about how he has dirty finger nails or how his hands are always so cold and boney. You huff. “You’re gonna give me a headache.”
“You give me a headache every time you walk into the room,” he shrugs, pulling back. He throws himself onto the couch again and hears the floor rattle beneath him. Another complaint that you’ll throw at him is how he and Chengcheng should just move out of this ratty old place. (“And go where exactly?” “I don’t know! Go live with Zhengting! I heard he needs a roommate!” “You want us to live with Zhu Zhengting? He’ll be on China’s Most Wanted after he kills me and Chengcheng.”) You roll your eyes instead. “But go on. What did your best friend Wang Linkai do to piss you off today?”
“We had a lunch date!” you stomp your foot.
“A lunch date?!” Chengcheng repeats as he exists the kitchen, choking on the piece of bread he had shoved into his mouth. “You two go on dates?!”
Linkai snorts. Ever since Chengcheng found out the story of how you and Linkai met, he’s been begging for you two to fall in love. (“You met in college when she dropped her books and you helped her pick them up? Fingers lingering, eyes glazing over. Love blooming like spring cherry blossom-“ “Chengcheng, shut the actual hell up. I only helped her out because I’m not an asshole.” “Not an asshole? Have you met you?”). Chengcheng says that he’s read a lot of fan fictions. He knows how this will turn out. Apparently, he’s taking bets alongside Chen Linong and Lin Yanjun as to when you two will finally get together. But jokes on them because you are denser than a book.
According to Chengcheng, it’s not your fault because apparently Linkai has terrible game. His idea of flirting with you is to flake on you half the time, watch you get riled up then pat your head and walk away after you get done ranting to him. Linkai doesn’t call that game. He calls that tolerance because some of this shit you put him through makes his head spin in circles. Plus, he’s got an image to uphold. Xiao Gui AKA.IMP cannot go around braiding flower crowns and singing to the birds like this is some kind of Disney film. He’s still trying to live down that time Xukun posted a picture of him coloring in a coloring book on his instagram story (Ziyi still sends him children’s coloring books every holiday since. Whether Linkai fills them out or not is his business and his business only).
He thinks today is going to be a bad day. He thinks it’ll be one of those days where the two of you will fight to no ends and there’s literally nothing he can do to make you feel better. He hates to admit it but he likes those kind of days because they always end with the two of you laying in his bed. Those are the nights he’ll hold you and wipes your tears, whispering a mantra of “Yes, I’m an idiot” and “I’m sorry, it’s my fault for not cherishing you.” He likes those nights because even though you get on his last nerves, he’ll be willing to admit defeat if that means he’ll get to wake up with you beside him.
“Honestly, Linkai. I don’t even know why I try with you sometimes,” you groan, setting down the bag of food in your hands onto the coffee table with one too many water stains. “Chengcheng, come join us for lunch.”
“Oh, I don’t wanna intrude on your date,” he says.
You smile at him. “It’s not an actual date.“
There’s a weird look on your face as you say that. It’s a look you get that Xiao Gui has never been able to read. Your smile is big but your eyes never seem to match. Your shoulders visibly sag and your movements slow for a second before you seem to realize what you’re doing and get back to being normal. “Come!”
“No,” Linkai plops down on the floor next to you. “He has a lab with Justin due at midnight tonight. He needs to leave.”
“Hm? You keep tabs on me?” Chengcheng has a shit eating grin on his face which quickly disappears as Linkai scoffs.
“No. You’re wearing cologne for once and don’t look oily. From just that, I know you’re going to meet Justin,” he says. “You usually smell like terrible B.O. and your hair looks dry. As for your project, you have it written on your calendar inside of a big red heart. I saw it when I went to steal the five bucks from your dresser earlier.” Chengcheng sputters, face red with embarrassment.
You swat Linkai’s shoulder. “Leave him alone,” you frown. “Don’t worry about him, Cheng. You always look and smell great to me!” you grin encouragingly before turning back to Linkai again to whisper yell. “He has a crush. Don’t tell me you’ve never gotten dressed up for somebody you liked.”
“Hey!” he says louder than you expected considering this was supposed to be a hushed conversation. “I’m wearing the jeans you said make my ass look fat,” he retorts. You simply roll your eyes before returning to Chengcheng. Once again, you’ve reminded not only Linkai but the world that you are denser than a book. He makes a face. “You expect me to read your mind and yet you never seem to be able to read mine,” he mutters under his breath, forcefully stabbing into his rice.
“What was that?” you turn back to him. He shakes his head, shoveling a load of food into his mouth to keep you from pressing. You thankfully don’t and once again, turn to Chengcheng. “I think you look amazing. Really. Go get him! He’ll be in your arms in no time!”
“Thanks, jiejie!” the dopey boy grins. “I’ll be on my way then. Be back tomorrow morning. Don’t have too much fun while I’m gone!” he winks. He’s out the door before Linkai can kill him (as if Linkai even had the energy to do so).
He’s too busy dissecting his meat to notice your cold stare. You have to clear your throat for him to look up and see your face. He groans, “What the hell did I do now?”
“You should be more supportive of Chengcheng.”
“More supportive? Any more supportive and I might as well just text Justin and say ‘Hey dinghead! Chengcheng is in love with you!’” he scoffs. “Honestly, it doesn’t get any more supportive than me.” He’s actually offended that you don’t think he’s all for Chengstin. Linkai is the vice president of the Chengstin fanclub, only coming second to You Zhangjing. “Who do you think always makes sure there’s ice cream in the fridge when Justin comes over? Who do you think hops off our shitty ass wifi when Justin comes to watches movies? Who the fuck ran across town just to fight with sneaker heads to get Justin the newest pair of shoes because Chengcheng was stuck in class? Have you ever had to fight a sneak head, YN? Have you?” His eyes are wild as if he’s seen some things he’d rather not talk about.
You sigh. “I just think you need to be nicer to him,” you shrug.
“Last week you told me not to let Chengcheng step all over me,” Linkai points his chopstick accusingly at you.
“Because you were deadass tired and up doing his laundry while he slept!” you exclaim.
Linkai snorts. You’re honestly a walking contradiction when it comes to him. “Just eat and be quiet. I’ve already got a headache. Don’t make my stomach upset too with all of your nonsense.”
“It’s not nonsense, Linkai!”
“If it’s coming from you, it is.” He shuts his foam to-go plate and stands to his feet before you could give him another earful. “I’m gonna go get a drink. Want anything? Water? A soda? A shot of vodka?”
“Ten more minutes with you makes the last option sound more appeasing than it should,” you pinch the bridge of your nose.
“Nobody is forcing you to be here,” he reminds you, patting your head as he walks away. When he returns, he’s made two pretty drinks and winks at you. Bottoms up, his eyes say.
“Really? Drinking on a Tuesday?” you scoff.
“Whether it’s a Tuesday afternoon or a Saturday night, you will always find a reason to complain,” he replies. You roll your eyes, taking a sip and feeling the alcohol burn down your throat. You grimace before setting it back down on the table. “So what do you wanna do now, hm? Watch a movie? Make me watch you online shop?”
“Maybe I could put make up on you and do your hair,” you suggest.
It’s his turn to roll his eyes. “You say that everyone elses’ boy friends do this for them and yet, I feel as though I’m the only one.”
“Boyfriend?” you repeat, completely disregarding anything else he had said.
“Boy. Space. Friends,” he says before leaning back onto his hands. “Why? Do you wanna remove the space in between us?” he wiggles his eyebrows before swooping in close to you, noses bumping. You freeze at this. “What?” he smirks when you don’t push him away like usual. “You actually thinking about kissing me this time?”
You scoff, shaking your head and moving away from him. “Wang Linkai,” you scoff again. “You really are something else. You know that? Kiss you? My best friend? I’d rather eat sand or-“ You stop, looking at him and seeing the way his eyes cast down for a second. “What?”
He looks back up. “Nothing,” he says before pulling himself to his feet again. He stretches his arms over his head and yawns. “Come. Let’s go shop. Or something. I don’t know.” He shakes his head and reaches for his drink. Maybe he shouldn’t have poured so much alcohol into his drink. One sip and he’s already a mess. “What?” He notices you still haven’t moved from your spot on the floor. “Hurry up and put on your jacket. Or do I have to so it for you?” He makes a swipe to grab your arm but you pull back, holding it against your chest. “YN, what?” he sighs, a bit annoyed. “Are you mad at what I just did? Look, I’m sorry. Let’s just-“
“Linkai,” you frown. “Why do you look so sad?”
“It’s nothing,” he replies, walking around and looking for his keys.
“It’s doesn’t seem like nothing to you.” Your words are careful, almost as if you’re trying to find the right wire to cut in order for the bomb not to explode. It’s always like that when the two of you argue this deeply. And sadly, it always ends with somebody crying.
“Because it’s never anything to you!” he throws a hand down dramatically. “So like. Let’s go because I’m not going to do this today!”
“Do what today?” you ask, standing to your feet. He shakes his head and makes it towards the door when you grab his arm. He instantly spins around and pins you against the wall, arms encasing you. You narrow your eyes at him. “What’s your deal?” you huff.
“It’s not even a bit obvious to you?” He’s smiling like a deviant. Like you’re just playing into one of his cold jokes. “Are you really that stupid?”
“What did I do to you?” you cross your arms.
“Everything,” he says, eyes casting downwards. You feel your heart starting to hammer as you realize he’s staring right at your lips. “You waltz into my life and make it absolute hell. You expect me to just know what’s on your mind. You expect me to just know what makes you happy and what makes you sad. You expect me to just know these things and I don’t and it makes me so tired and yet...” he laughs coldly. “And yet when I look at you, I want to be defeated. I want to fall at my knees at your mercy. It’s been like this since the day we met.” His hand slowly makes its way up to your cheek, cupping the glowy red flesh between his fingers. “C’mon, YN. How should it be? What do I have to do to make you like me as much as I like you?”
“Linkai, you idiot! If you liked me, you should’ve just told me!” you pout.
“And then you would’ve found something to complain about then as well,” he rolls his eyes. “Honestly, YN. Just lighten up with me sometimes. I’m trying.”
“You’re always trying,” you smile. “That’s what I like about you.”
“You wanna know a secret?” he asks, leaning in closely. “I only try his hard for you.”
And as his lips finally land on yours, you realize that this is exactly how it should have been all along.

Galaxies & Stardust
Link to part one (of sorts)
Tumblr media
Pairing: Fan Chengcheng x Female Reader
Requested: Nope. I’ve been wanting to write a sequel to Sky Full of Stars for a while.
Genre: Fluff; Hinted Smut
Word Count: 2,204
A/N: This took me so long to post because things kept on coming up constantly rip. It’s not exactly a sequel because both the fics are pretty individual of each other unless you want context for a couple of things. Also, this was pretty gender neutral until boobs became a factor *sigh*.
If there was one thing you would never get tired of– that you’d pick over and above everything in your life– it was Fan Chengcheng. It was the way he was created of constellations and lone stars and the way he made you feel like you were covered in stardust every time he touched you. Sometimes when you’d pull away from each other– flushed and breathless, lips glistening and moist, you were tempted to check for galaxies that you swore formed across your skin everywhere he touched you. His touches were always languid and lazy– flowing gently over you every time you made out but they never failed to make you feel as if sparks were forming under the skin where his fingers rested, ready to set you on fire if they got out of hand but for now, only making you feel as if he’d imprinted on you the very galaxies you swore he was made of.
Those feelings amplified exponentially the first time you ever made love to each other– made love because you couldn’t bear to call it anything else. Everywhere he touched you, you could feel a starburst happening. Countless new stars being born and dying over and over until you couldn’t hold back your orgasm any longer. When he held you later that night, both of you still panting slightly from the activity and told you in soft whispers against your neck of how much he loved you, you swore that you were on the edge of becoming one with a newborn galaxy.
In the morning after, you notice the love bites trailing down your neck– bruising your skin in hues of purple and red. He kisses them gently, still half asleep even as he wraps his arms around your waist while you make breakfast and apologises for how visible they are. You turn around and kiss that beauty mark on his jaw and tell him that you wished he’d paint you in those colours all over and giggle when he blushes.
***
Fan Chengcheng is sure he is in love with you– with the little things about you. With how you always make him breakfast when you stay over; with how easily you smile and how the sun couldn’t ever compare to your radiance when you do. He’s in love with the breathless, flushed you who pulls him in for another kiss almost as soon as you’ve pulled away. He’s in love with the you who’s made of sweet moans and gasping repeated pleas of his name at night– all your little noises loud enough for him to hear but not loud enough for his parents to be able to hear how the nature of your relationship has changed slightly.
He thinks you’re beautiful and he wonders how you could possibly be in love with him. He’s amazed at how patient you are with him– always around to talk him out of any of doubts he has about himself and his worth as an idol. He’s awed at how when words fail, you can always kiss away his thoughts. He’s in love with how you kiss him– slow and languid, matching his pace as your desires slowly build up. He in love with the moment you pull away, your eyes glazed over with all the love and adoration and need he feels growing inside him as he lets you pull him closer for another kiss– this one more heated than the last.
However if anyone asked, what about you Fan Chengcheng is in love with, all of those things wouldn’t be what he answered. If anyone asked him why he loved you, he’d tell them about how you make him feel like he’s made of stardust and how you’re the magic of meteor showers– making him feel vulnerable and invincible at the same time– leaving him feeling like magic existed and came from stars even as you called him a galaxy of stars and constellations and swore that he was the one leaving galaxies bursting on every inch of your skin that he touched.
***
It had been a lazier-than-usual Sunday evening that found you both cuddling on the couch at your apartment, the television playing a long-forgotten movie as Chengcheng told you about how he’s been since the last time you saw him. He talks about how Nine Percent is finally gearing for debut and how he’s worried about the stress increasing with a double debut. One of his hands is holding yours, tangling your fingers together and absently tracing circles on the skin below your thumb while the other is wrapped around your waist, holding you in place.  You’re acutely aware of how much you’ve missed his voice and the feel of his touch as your heart lurches in yearning for more domesticity in your relationship.
“I’m just glad to be back finally,” he says after a while, his lips against your neck, his words barely audible. You hum in response, tilting your head back to expose your neck a little more. “I missed you,” you tell him, raising his hand to your lips even as he trails kisses down your neck.
Things move faster from there– leaving you breathless with the series of starbursts that you can feel taking place all through your body and mind as Chengcheng pins you down on the couch and leaves kisses and hickeys on any bit of exposed skin he can find. His movements are urgent and feverish and you can’t help but wonder if you’ll actually become a new galaxy by the time he moves away.
When he does move away– sooner than you would have liked for him to, leaning back against the handle of the couch and pulling you with him, the fire of his touches have left you so delirious you’re almost sure you’re only half human–  the other half of you is probably lost to the supernovas he’s created all through your body. “I love you,” he whispers for the first time in a long time and in that moment, delirious or not, you love him more than you ever have.
You need him more than you ever have: with his lips swollen and parted slightly, panting slightly; his hair sticks to his forehead and you wonder how much his hair must have grown from the last time you saw him. You look at the boy in front you, holding you on his lap and looking at you clearly worried about how you would react to his confession. You can’t help but smile and lean forward to kiss him– a slow, eager kiss full of how deeply you feel for him. In the years to come, Chengcheng would relate the kiss to a lake in the monsoons–  filled to bursting and yet something that filled him with peace instead of making him want to run away. In that moment, he lets hands roam everywhere on your body as you pull away momentarily from the kiss only to leave kisses all over his face and all down his neck.
You bury your fingers in his hair, tugging it slightly so he takes the hint and tilts his neck and allows you to suck and lick on every bit of his neck. Chengcheng thinks of how you always compare him to the night sky and how you talk of his touches turning you into a cosmic space where new galaxies are formed and in that moment he feels as if  he is the cosmic space where galaxies are formed. Every nerve ending in his body seems to be bursting from charged energy leaving him jittery and exhilarated all at once–  he wonders if you feel this way too when he touches you. Absently, his hands brush over your breasts, squeezing them gently over your bra making you moan into his neck, making him groan in response to the proximity.
All at once, the sensations are too much to let either of you hold back and vaguely you can feel his dick beginning to harden as you sit on his lap, staring at him–  both of you shocked at the sudden wantonness of your relationship and the intimacy it had stemmed from.  His cheeks are flushed and his eyes are shining and his lips are swollen and you can’t help but be taken at how beautiful he looks in moments like this–  it makes you want to take a picture of him like you often do when your makeout sessions end. Today, however, you can’t really see yourself doing that–  this moment feels infinitely more private than any you’ve ever shared and maybe it’s because it was at that moment that you realised you were in love with him or it was because his hand was under your shirt. You can’t tell the difference and you don’t care for it–  at that moment, all you want is to lead that moment to fruition and even though Chengcheng is too polite to say it, the look in his eyes tell you that he wants it too.
“We don’t have to if you don’t want to,” he tells you, hesitantly trying to release some of the tension. He’s visibly nervous and you think he’s adorable so you lean in again to kiss him again– this one is barely a peck on his lips. “I want you,” is all you tell him before his hands are cupping your face as he pulls in for a deeper kiss– one that doesn’t make you feel like you’re a newborn galaxy–  it makes you feel like he’s pulling you into a new, private galaxy where no-one exists besides the two of you.
In the morning after that you wake up to Chengcheng’s bare chest against your back, his face buried in your neck, his arm around you, you wonder briefly how the two of you ever managed to make it to the bedroom from the couch. It rushes in other memories from the previous night as well: The feel of his lips all over skin, his tongue swirling around your nipples before he sucked them– you bite your lips at the memory of how it made you moan; your body tingles at the memory of the actions–  at how you were sure you would definitely burst into cosmic dust before the night was over.
You look at the boy sleeping next to you and wonder if he at all believes it when you tell him how beautiful he is and you wish he does because he is– like the sky under which you kiss him after he tells you about how afraid he is of not being good enough on certain nights. You trace your finger across his face, drawing imaginary lines connecting each of his beauty marks and think about how all his skin is dotted with them and how he let you kiss each of them last night. “You’re a star-studded night sky, Fan Chengcheng,” you whisper, barely audible to even yourself. “You’re made of constellations and lone stars and when you touch me I feel like my essence is becoming an entirely new universe.”
It’s the first time you ever worded out how he makes you feel and when he stirs slightly in his sleep, you’re slightly embarrassed that he may have heard you. Instead, he hums in his sleep, completely unaware and shifts slightly making you smile. You gently raise his hand and creep out of bed, picking up his discarded shirt and pulling it over yourself. It’s when you pull your hair up to tie it that you notice the love bites on your neck–  red and purple and reminding you of NASA pictures of galaxies and you can’t help but admire them for a while in the mirror of your room before you make your way to the kitchen.
It’s been barely ten minutes  when Chengcheng joins you in the kitchen, wrapping his arms around your waist and pulling you into a back hug, kissing the nape of your neck. “Good morning,” he says, groggily, “come back to bed.” You laugh, throwing your head back and resting it on his chest, looking up at him. “No, Cheng,” you smile, “we need food.”
You laugh some more when he pouts and Chengcheng decides then that he’s never going to love someone as much as you. He trails his hands up your sides, making you shiver slightly. His hands roam all over your body as he leans down to kiss your neck– stopping when he notices the bruises he’s left on your skin. You don’t need to turn around to see the worry and guilt in his eyes as he apologises. “I didn’t mean to be so rough,” he says and you can’t help but laugh a little at how sweet he is. You turn around in his arms and kiss his jaw.
“Fan Chengcheng, you’re made of stars you know that?” you sigh fondly. “You’re made of stars and when I saw those bruises, my first thought was that they were galaxies because those are what I feel under my skin when you touch me. I love them and if anything, I’d rather you covered me all over in them.”
