Could you maybe do some queer platonic relationship headcanons for show cuphead? Bonus points if they purposely mess with people. If you’re not sure what a queer platonic relationship is, it’s basically a romantic one but platonic. I never really see any queer platonic content anywhere 😅, thank you!!!

A/N: so I’m reading this as just a friendship but one or both are LGBTQ+ which I can do but the way it’s worded is a bit confusing ^^; /lh. Either way I hope you enjoy!

:Cuphead & Mugman with a LGBTQ+ pal:!

They were raised to be indifferent about peoples differences, they are kids after all, but as they got older elder kettle talked to them about being more than indifferent and being open minded to others

It wasn’t until they met (y/n) that the world hit the boys

(y/n) had met the boys at the fair, they had been outcasted from their usual group of friends because sadly they were outted to them

(Y/n) had been crying in the alley way of some booths when mugman approached them to comfort them, upon asking them what was wrong (y/n) kept it really vague on the reason why their friends left them

“They just don’t like me for who I am..”

“So you’re gay?”

“CUPHEAD-“

The interaction caused (y/n) to laugh, “don’t worry we don’t care if you are, sorry if my brudda offended you”

And really that’s how the trio (if you count ms. Chalice! Despite me not writing her in here) became a quartet

Anyone who messed with you from then on out had the cup bros to deal with! Plus elder kettle!

If your parents found out and they unfortunately weren’t accepting, don’t worry you can live with the boys, elder kettle is basically your dad now

The three of you guys always have a blast, wether it’s helping cuphead with a prank or doing something more chill like painting with mug man they always make sure to include you and make sure you don’t feel left out

And you bet your ass they support you, wether you’re still finding your label or found one already, or he’ll even if you don’t want one they will be behind your back all the way

They tag along to pride parades, marches, and hearings for the more serious things, now that the world has given them this friend and opened their eyes they will do what’s right, because that’s what they do!
