Pip: *UNHOLY HISSING/ ANGERY WEH SOUNDING SCREECHES*

Hunter: “……..That’s your tail… you do know that’s your tail? Right??…even then, why are you hissing at your tail??? What has it done??”

This continues an hour later with Hunter just standing there trying to solve what’s obviously one of life’s greatest mysteries

Oh yeah this is set a couple days after what’s explained here but after Pip makes the deal to stop Eda’s petrification and before Eda and Luz go to attempt save him. Hunter is stuck on prince sitting duty and has to deal with Pip and especially his curse really acting up, Hunter originally really didn’t like this idea as he had assumed it was going to be extremely dangerous until he found out Pip mostly acts like a weird giant cat/dog/ snake that is just too lazy to do anything dangerous on purpose and much prefers to lay in the sun.

Pip does have his moments though of actually being dangerous whilst in curse mode and has to be kept completely away from Lilith at all times (she stays longer in the Emperors coven than in canon just to spy on their plans and has joined up with CATs) because once he saw her, he then lost his shit, after that his curse immediately took over and he almost immediately tried to kill her until he had to be dragged away by Hunter, other than that so far his curse isn’t super dangerous, unless you’re Lilith

Here’s the boi in his 10000/10 human cosplay

fun fact at some point he had cut his hair because it became too long and hard to deal with but ended up giving himself the worst hair cut ever and decided he liked it despite everyone being like “are you sure you don’t want it slightly more even?” When I did the drawing of him in his cursed form I did it with this hair cut in mind

Originally when walking around the human realm Pip would hide his scars/eye colour by either covering them up or with illusion magic but he’s gotten to the point has lost every fuck he has to give because people already find him off putting and uncanny anyways.

He also started working at the GHS museum as an assistant curator because he’s interested mostly in finding out wtf was the deal of Caleb, Evelyn and Philip, as well as to find any knowledge he can on the portal door but he also does it because he likes sneaking the money he gets paid into Camila’s purse as a repayment for everything because she didn’t accept it when he tried to give it to her upfront because even though she really appreciated it she didn’t want Pip to feel as if he’s in debt but Pip was too stubborn and just decided to do it the sneaky way, Camila knows this and is playing a 4d chess game where she uses his money to get things she thinks he would buy himself and then gives it to him as presents.

Also Ngl Pip hates his job with a passion because Jacob just assumes that because Pip doesn’t talk much but is somewhat neutral on him that it’s an invitation to start randomly spew out conspiracy theories every time he sees Pip but because Pip honestly doesn’t have enough knowledge on humans and their culture, he doesn’t know that Jacob is crazy so he just puts up with it and is just like “huh neat, the human government is full of extraterrestrial lizards? What a delightful government :)” much to Jacob’s dismay.

But Pip doesn’t really start hating Jacob with a passion until Jacob shows him the video of Vee almost getting dissected and Pip almost losses his shit and has to drag himself away from mauling Jacob because at that point Pip and Vee have bonded enough through their similar backgrounds of being horrific magic experiments as well as just spending time together that Pip already considers them another younger sibling.

The colours he’s wearing in the first ref picture sure look familiar and may or may not be hinting something traumatic that’s going to happen :)

He’s just a lil creature

Unlike Belos’s cursed form, Pip actually has two versions. The one drawn here is when he has enough magic stored inside, is a Frankenstein-ed up mess between a basilisk and whatever Belos’s curse in canon is meant to be but because curses in general aren’t explained in explicit detail (especially belos’s one) I thought it would be neat to attempt to give it a cool headcanon

so my idea of what creature these two got stuffed with is something that’s nicknamed a “false Titan” which are a long extinct species of demon? (They might be a sub category of titan though I’m not too sure yet :/) that evolved to mimic titans in order to better hunt their children as well as hunt smaller species of titan that don’t grow to be giants, these guys ended up getting killed off in the war between archivists and titans because the archivists couldn’t tell the difference between the two species but one archivist eventually did and captured one of them for safe keeping/ preserving.

Evelyn was a seller of all kinds of dangerous magical artefacts and human items, she mostly used her business as fun hobby as well to help Caleb with starting their carving business that they wanted to do together because Evelyn running around exploring dangerous ruins wasn’t a good idea because they obviously were planning on starting a family together. Uh that kind of failed spectacularly ngl when the whole fight between Caleb and Philip started so Evelyn in revenge literally grabbed every curse she had in storage and just murked Philip with them after seeing Caleb dead, one of the curses just so happened to be the “false titan” which Philip wasn’t able to remove.

So The reason why Belos snacks on palisman is because they’re grown from using titan magic as well as they have healing properties so like how Eda eats voles, Belos is addicted to eating titan magic because of the curse, also by having the glyphs carved into his arms he fucked himself over even more because the glyphs need to have magic/ energy to function but that then causes the curse to get more agitated and causes the slime/rotting

Obviously Pip ended up getting cursed too because it got passed onto him but due to him being a weird amalgamation of grimwalker parts and basilisk, Pip isnt really interested in eating titan magic and can eat most magic just fine, so King or palisman aren’t in danger around him… but he is carnivorous and has to actually eat the creature to drain the magic rather than just inhaling it Kirby style like how basilisks do

A fun fact about that is that Luz just assumed that Pip just casually eating raw meat was just a witch thing until she learned more about witch diets/ foods and was somewhat horrified and intrigued by what the fuck is up with Pip even more. It’s even funnier when they all eventually go the human realm and Pip is just like this with a piece of raw meat or something

and Luz got so desensitised to Pip and his horrifying habits that she completely forgot to give a heads up to Camila, who at that time just assumed that Pip was just a normal human that was brought into the boiling isles or something and so she was completely taken off guard that out of the gang Pip is the least human/ knowledgeable in acting as a human, she’s mostly fine with it afterwards and only sets a few rules like making sure to not leave blood everywhere but she does almost have a heart attack seeing Pip’s cursed form just napping on the sofa like a weird giant cat

Ngl during Grom these two just snuck out because they were bored in order to have totally age appropriate apple blood together that Pip stole from Eda’s stash, they didn’t find out about the events of what happened in Grom until like a day later because they ended up sleeping in a random field lmao

Fun fact, Pip’s outfit was very much inspired by David Tennant in Doctor who, except for the golden laurel which was for a fun pop of colour and him unknowingly foreshadowing his own origins :)

On the other hand Nimbus was just designed to be as gender envy as possible as well as incorporating his love of older bands by giving him a pink Floyd inspired shirt

Also I designed both of them to be opposite in vibes but oddly complementary because of their colours .

I'm throwing this out here because I popped off with this art really hard and really liked how it came out

I swearrrrr that I'll go into this in more detail with proper art and maybe an animatic but as quick as an explanation I can muster, at around the au's version of mid-season two (in between any sport in a storm and reaching out) Pip does end up having to leave the Owl House gang because Hunter finally managed to capture him completely by surprise because Pip let his guard down to who he just assumed was only Willow's and Gus's new flyer derby friend.

When Pip finally reaches the castle he stays there for a while to scope out the place and figure out a full proof escape route but he ends up caught in between a rock and a hard place before he could even think of a plan because he finds out that Eda is set to be put to be captured and petrified for the false crime of kidnapping the heir.

This causes Pip who's already extremely traumatised from the first petrification attempt and doesn't want to see Eda hurt again attempts to completely avoid that by striking up a deal with Belos.

This sort of works but it isn't in Pips favour at all because Belos had decided to pardon Eda (only to keep Pip from escaping again though), Pip can no longer even be out of Hunters sight or go out of the castle without Hunter's or a scouts supervision and if Eda approaches again she will be put to be petrifed immediately

So the deal goes completely out the window the moment that Eda finds out that one of her kids got kidnapped and so she and Luz (she wasn't supposed to join along but couldn't take no for an answer) busts into the castle to steal Pip right back.... which ends terribly to say the least.

Even though things went well at first, they do manage to almost escape with Pip until Belos who's at this point kinda done with his clone running away all the time decides to intervene personally rather than sending out the scouts

Eda goes full mother owl mode and does end up fighting Belos which I can imagine was a pretty epic battle

no idea who was winning until the end of the fight but one things for certain is that it goes completely south for Eda towards because Luz and Pip end up in the crossfire, Pip gets hurt badly and almost loses his eye (hence the gnarly scar across his face in the drawing) because he pushed Luz out of the away from a magic spike growing from the ground, so Eda gets distracted and petrified.

Before Eda fully becomes stone she makes both of them promise to escape, thanks them and asks them to take care of themselves, Hooty and King for her... Neither Luz or Pip handle this well but don't have enough time to even properly processes and so Pip who's slightly more functional than Luz who's completely dissociating at this point quickly grabs Luz and escapes on Owlbert but Pip gets yoinked by Belos mid way and Luz ends up escaping by herself.......

At this point Pip is planning on committing regicide and is only stopped because he ends up forcibly having to drink that brainwash juice before he could do anything

Brainwashed Pip mostly can't remember what's that's happened to him except for a few fake memories that got implanted in that paints wild witches in a really bad light and so after being explained a obviously completely untrue story by Belos he believes that he's suffering huge memory loss because he was brainwashed by wild witches and that magic is fading away.

Pip also just loses most of his personality except for his sense of justice which gets extremely twisted, he just becomes extremely detached and cold as well (but he does thaw slightly with specific people but doesn't understand why *coughs* ᴺᶦᵐᵇᵘˢ *coughs even harder* ᵗʰᵉ ᵖᵒʷᵉʳ ᵒᶠ ᵍᵃʸ ᶦˢ ᵗᵒᵒ ˢᵗʳᵒⁿᵍ.)

I like the idea that the episode "Convention" gets changed slightly in the golden heir au because instead of Eda setting magic traps to help Luz she instead illusions Pip to look like Luz and gets Pip to fight Amity instead because Luz isn’t ready and Pip hates Amity with a passion so he’s more than ok with it.

Luz doesn't know about this as king has been tasked to distract her until the dual is over. But this back fires when Luz realises that she's late for her dual and arrives last minute and Pip finally gets revealed as a fake.

Amity is caught completely off guard but still chooses to continue to fight Pip in order to save face and show off her magic skills even more, up until then it’s was a even-ish duel between the both of them but Amity started over powering Pip and completely yeeted his sword out of the way because she thought he’d give up at that point because she assumed he was compensating his magic skill with the sword but Amity didn’t realise that Pip is basically an angry chihuahua with a vendetta against her from all the years that she just stood by Boscha and made his life and a bunch of others complete hell as well… so he’s at that point ready to throw out every spell he knows to completely humiliate Amity…

So after Pip actually got serious, he had to be stopped by Luz before he really hurt Amity because she realised that his curse was taking over. So Luz jumped in the middle of the two them and told Pip to go steam off and that it’s her duel not his… so after a break, Luz is ready to duel and dodges all of amity’s attacks but realises mid way that Amity is cheating with the power glyph and then the rest of the episode goes the same

The Hauntbusters: Hoots and Hexes (spoilers btw)

I really like the idea that this episode would be a spoof on really dramatic ghost-hunting shows and movies.

It's set some point after "Through the Looking-Glass Ruins" but before "Knock, Knock, Knockin' on Hooty's Door."

It starts off with Luz going slightly crazy trying to figure out how to get more diary entries from the Echo mouse. After a while of Luz trying any method she can on the mouse she resorts to the idea of bribing it lol

So obviously she goes to the (second best) bribe master himself... Pip (this was because Eda was out doing errands.)

I haven't decided yet what Pip is doing when Luz comes knocking but it's either he's experimenting with potions or glyphs and whatever it is, there's chaos and explosions everywhere.

When Luz asks about the sneaky ways of bribery, Pip is just like ".......You're still trying to make that mouse squeak? at this point it'll probably be more likely that you'd get Wittebane himself talking to you from beyond the grave-" and Luz is just like "actually that's not a bad idea "

and cue the most chaotic ghost-hunting duo trying to summon the ghost of Philip Wittebane but failing miserably because a) he's not dead and b) they have no idea what they're doing and are using a knock off Ouija board... and instead they manage to summon a famous evil ghost that they've got to now figure out how to exorcise before Eda comes back home.

also, Hooty gets immediately possessed but even the ghost finds Hooty horrifying and instead moves on to possess King, which causes the episode to parody The Exorcist was well as Ghostbusters because Luz and Pip manage to capture the ghost using a vacuum just before Eda comes

this is how i feel currently when writing/drawing stuff for the Golden Heir au because im jumping from "season 3" to "season 1" to then "season 2" and then a hypothetical "season 4" T0T

and the worst thing is I feel weird on whether or not I should post them in order first or just post whatever I do and hope people look at my pinned post lmao

so like i have a bunch of stuff for season 3/4 that are done but I haven't been too sure if I should post more stuff establishing character dynamics and plot ideas first (basically s1 and s2 but its not as juicy compared to the more dramatic stuff that goes on later on) or continue treking the road of chaos

Soz for not posting in a while, I’m currently fighting demons and those demons are the flu :/

Boom animatic done, the audio is from bob’s burgers and I thought it was really fitting for luz, pip and the golden guard

The animatic is set during the au’s version of separate tides where everything is mostly the same except for the fact that Luz and Pip have different ideas of getting money to help Eda out, Luz becomes a sailor like in the show and Pip becomes the most feared pirate in the sea lmao

So when Pip ambushes a really expensive looking ship he ends up discovering that Luz is working on the ship and that it’s unfortunately owned by the Emperor, so because Luz was trying to convince the crew not to throw Pip overboard she ends up tied up alongside him and taken to be questioned by the captain, the golden guard… and then this animatic happens

Btw after that Pip is literally only still on the ship because the golden guard realises afterwards that he’s the Golden heir and that he unfortunately can’t punt annoying family members off the ship :/
