The above is my portion of an art trade with @ama-artistic , if you have not yet seen Artistic's work, I'd recommend giving them a visit! From top to bottom, the characters name is "Cypress" with the Pegasus being named "Lychee". I should note that the book cypress is reading does in fact have a title- it pertains to the characters background looking forward to seeing is anyone can read it, haha. This all having been said, I haven't had an art trade in a while, so it was fun to do again! I am uncertain if more art trades will be done in the future but time will tell- cheers!

For those who have followed Whirlwind’s blog, they will also know there are many other characters which comprise the blog, with one of them in particular being Single Slice. Who, while also being a pony who delivers pizzas, is also a Ninja by night.

So, after some research into a few variations of turtles who have a similar area of interest as Single Slice, I figured I would incorporate some sort of foods, and a Katana which I hope will be of interest to Single Slice! Admittedly there were suppose to be twin katanas, alas, time could not allow for it.

Time determined that while though I have my reservations about the visual noise in the main piece above the break, I figured it would be best to post rather than continually make adjustments to no end, haha.

As per tradition, miscellaneous thoughts, and an additional item below the break!

After having seen this post, I figured that the food in question may not be adequate for the characters in question, so I sought to find some sweet treats instead, or at least I hope! I apologize if they may not be to taste. From left to right, the desserts are as follows: Ube, Mais Con Yelo, and Leche Flan. Initially I had wanted the Ube to be “Halo Halo” But alas, I was not satisfied with how it looked, so I settled on a modified form of Ube. Hopefully these foods find themselves agreeable to Techbro and Jassy!

With that having been said... Hallo! I have more posts planned in the upcoming days, so rather than dwell too much on the context of texts for this post, I think I shall save such explanatory thoughts for future posts, haha.

Now, as for the post- This took a lot longer than I thought it would!

Due in part to various things, such as completing my college degree, wohoo! I underestimated just how much stuff I wanted to put into these panels. The previous multi-panel post, while lengthy, was fairly minimal in its detail as opposed to this one. Ah, oh well! Live and learn, haha.

In case if it may not be clear, I figure it may be well to point out why other blogs characters - at least in this response format to answering asks- appear to ask questions in a separate colored space. The thought process being that characters send asks from Their blog/dimension, and so when a question is asked, said question traverses into my... blog/dimension? Since these are posts the dimension if it could be called that is effectively the same colour as the tumblr dashboard. To make things a lot less complicated, it may be good to simply think of this as being some land of limbo. It is definitely a format I’m still developing so I’m curious to see how things will progress!

Returning to the subject of future posts; more are planned! Hopefully those posts wont take nearly as long as this one to finish.

Whew! This took a while, Haha!

As has been stated before; while though I do not necessarily see this as an ask blog, if a prompt looks fun, or if folk ever want to send asks/reblogs/etc for posts such as this I am not opposed to it.

For the time being, though, I am quite proud of the fact that this is now the longest post I’ve ever made, seven panels! Wohoo! It may sound silly to say but I remember wanting to make similar posts like this one for equestrian-venture in the past. I do not know what the status of that blog will be, but only time will tell. “A Sweep in the Sky“

The Character above belong sto @asksweepslick​ , of which, the characters name is Sweep Slick. If one has not seen their blog, I would much encourage them to give them a visit!

Below the break, I have included a few other art pieces as well, which showcase other characters, as well as some other things inspired by that blogs work.

Firstly, a gift for sweep! Haha. While not as exciting as bits, a stack of five bamboo reeds such as this one as meant to promote good wealth, so too, oranges carry a similar meaning.

Additionally, while searching for references and considering what would eventually be posted, I once again stumbled upon this post from some time ago which showcased Sweep, as well as an unnamed guard pony, donning armour. As stated, I love armour, I felt that I could not help myself in trying to make something based off of those pieces only partly shown. I figured that instead of the guard pony in that post, I would use a different character also belonging to sweep, whos name is Skyrocket. I want to change a lot about this armour, but alas, this post has been delayed too long already! haha. I hope Skyrocket does not mind the difference in armour, since its not quite exactly what she has used at other times.

Now, these other characters shown above, from left to right are as follow: Nao, Teea, and Kur. They are made by the mod blog of sweep, which may be found here.

Every blog I’ve ever made fan-art of have a lot of characters; I always want to create more than what I finally post. The main thing which mitigates this from happening is available time. Given that I typically would post two pieces of one character from a respective blog a week, I decided to try and shift focus and make multiple pieces dedicated to just one.

Anyways, thank you for reading this awfully lengthy post! As always, thoughts are welcome.

Goodness, this is quite the different post, and quite a fun thing to make!

Usual pieces are still being planned for the future, but I thought this would be a neat thing to try and do to. I cannot say for exact certainly that I will continue to answer questions exactly like this, but who knows!

Due to all of the many different colours appearing on the images, and the amount of panels, i decided to make the images smaller, as well as refrain from adding any textures, as I am fairly certain that could make the image quality more difficult to see.

Weirdly, the thing which took the longest were the words - I am not familiar enough with the likes of FontForge to create an adequate font, so I had to make do by making them individually, haha.

As always, thoughts are welcomed. Although, given this is a question about favourite things to draw and favourite cartoons, I’m curious to know what others favourites are, too! Cheers!

Alright, so I decided not to use a different texture since the previous posts... but a different subject matter! Yet I feel as though I must highlight that I do not think my greatest difficulty with this piece was working with the different anatomy, but rather, the use of artistic license.

For example; Esuka does not cast magic. Or at least this is the impression that I am under at the moment. And yet, I have them casting magic. So too, the Robes in general have a flow to them which I do not think accurately depicts the style and nature of this character accurately as it could. And yet, that flow is present anyways.

Due to wanting to maintain a post schedule, and also being unsure of my ability to procure a more accurate depiction of this character in a timely manner, I made do with what I had already made. I could say plenty more on this piece, but my goodness, this post is already too much of a text wall as it is, haha!

Above is a character belonging to @sullenshark​, who, also shares the same name as the blog. If by chance this blog has not yet been seen, I would recommend giving it a visit!

Bellow the break, I’ve included some treats for the shark as well, since I am under the impression that it likes treats, haha.

The uppermost treat is a tuna cake of sorts, and below it are two red bean Bungeo-ppang. I would have loved to have tried making other foods as well, but alas, in trying to keep to a schedule I will have to redouble my food skills for a future post. I hope that the shark will find the treats well! I am unfamiliar with what they may or may not be able to eat, but I hope these will be deemed worthy.

I’m unsure what else should be add in detailing things for this process, as evidently this is following a very similar process as seen in the last few posts, so I think by next weeks post I will strive to change things up a bit. Be that in the form of more curved forms, or swapping out flat colours to something more nuanced, or perhaps finally using a different texture? Oh well, only time will tell. The Character shown above belongs to @nopony-ask-mclovin​ who’s name is Corel-Lee. If one has not yet seen the blog this character is from, I would much recommend giving it a visit!

Thoughts and other details below the break.

In case it isn’t obvious by now, I enjoy radial designs, haha. So too, with the presence of what I refer to as “movement lines” as shown above and below various objects, this style is really not too far off from what I normally do. The big difference being that there are lines.

I really wanted to stay with the premise of flat colours, though as evident by the First of the two images, by habit of adding textures is one that I have a difficulty not doing. If, for no other reason than the fact that I am very found of those types of textures, since many of many favourite artists have been woodblock printers.

Now some people may be wondering why this character looks as they do, getting ready to, or in the possible midst of a fight, haha. The reason for this is that I took inspiration from an older post found here.

Overall, I had a lot of fun with incorporating line-weight into a post like this, although only time will tell if this use of line-weight will make another appearance or not. As always, thoughts are always welcome.
